Don’t stay here they have bed bugs and the staff lied to us about many things we paid 300+ for this room for one night the guy said we would get free breakfast and we woke up the net. Morning and we could not get any then we was told check out was at 12 and it was not two guys came to our room being so rude kicking us out and we was told check out was at 12 my guest had got biten by bed bugs that’s what I’m going to assume it was bc it was bugs in our bed honestly I was not very happy with this stay at this hotel
By far one of the worst experiences! They have bugs in rooms!!! First room I was given had had a mold ish/wet smell in the entire room - upon request they changed to another room! Only to find bugs in that one!!! Checked out that night Very incompetent staff couldn’t even email the receipt properly - had to call multiple times.
DoubleTree did not disappoint. Clean facilities and the entire staff was wonderful. A warm entrance with a fireplace on a cold winter night in Syracuse. Restaurant and bar open until 10p on a Monday night. Great comfort food and beverage selection. Warm cookies too. Will stay again when in the area!
This was one of the most greatest experience I had in a hotel. It was very clean, the front desk employees were nothing but the sweetest there is. The check in was a breeze and they even gave me and my boyfriend cookies!! The lobby and room were clean, no mostly smell and very quiet. I will say if you want your room to be cleaned while you are out, call the desk the night before. We ate twice at the dining area and the food was delicious. It tasted fres, had plenty of flavor and a good portion. I ordered drinks and the bartender made them exactly how I like them! Also if you would like to go to the pool, I suggest to call before you arrive to get time availability and reservation policy. Nothing but praise for the staff and hotel. I will most definitely come again. Thank you.
Beautiful property! Clean room, fantastic bed. The black-out window coverings were awesome and the room was extremely dark and quiet. An abundance of meeting space scattered around the property. Front desk employees were very friendly and helpful. The commissary has a wide variety of food, drink and snack options to include beer. Theres even an ATM on site. Great little bar right in the lobby. The glass fireplace is memorizing. Limited close by off property dining options. Rise and Shine Dinner is two minutes away.
We were in town for our daughter’s wedding. We booked a block of rooms. Linda B. was awesome to work with and made the stay for friends and family seamless. Additionally, each time we saw her while there, she stopped to chat with us! Jason, the bartender, was also so impressive and friendly. He was such a hard worker and so kind. He’d stop and chat for a few moments, while making sure everything was good- funny too! Debbie at the buffet and all the front desk folks for also very centered on the guests. Whoever does the hiring does a fantastic job. I would rate them a 10 if I could. Oh yes, the rooms were very nice too.
Very nice facility. The staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Enjoyed the room. Pool and workout room looked nice but I did not have time to use them. I would have like to have been able to have at least a continental breakfast with out having to pay $13.00 of it, but hey the coffee was free.
Great hotel to stay at. Restaurant and bar have awesome food and drinks. Rooms are basic but nice. Pillows are the down feather type and are not my favorite, but the bed itself is comfortable. Walls are a bit thin and noise is easily heard in the hallways or rooms next to you..
I have been here for many times for past 16 years. I always bring my family here from Ottawa, Canada for shopping and stay here. If you provide free breakfast I will gave you 5 star. The best here are 1) welcome cookies 2) Pool and sauna room. Used to have 2 pools one indoor and one outdoor. Someday they closed outdoor one 3) Exercise room is great. I had a lots of good memory at this hotel with my daughters grown up and my mom, she passed away last year...
The room was mostly clean. We asked for towels and extra blankets and never received them. My friend was working remotely the first day and I planned to spend the day at the pool, one look at the pool and I quickly changed my mind. It was completely green and unable to see the bottom. The carpets in the hallways are stained. I broke a glass bottle on the floor and was handed a broom and no dustpan to clean it myself. During the day the housekeeping staff seems to be more interested in talking on their phones than cleaning the rooms or helping guests. I have stayed in several Hilton Brand hotels and this was by far the worst experience. The property itself has so much potential but it seems the staff has no motivation to make it a great place to stay. Needless to say I will not be back.
My husband and I celebrated our wedding on June 11, 2020. I want to thank Linda Benn for making our special day absolutely perfect. Thank you for all your hard work and staff was also exceptional. All of our guest raved about the amazing food that was prepared. We will never forget this day thanks to you and your staff.
Room with two full beds said sleeps 5. I assumed their was a couch or something. My family of 5 (2 adults, 11 month old, 4 year old, 7 year old) could barely fit. Beds were hard, pillows flat and uncomfy. Room didnt smell good. Stains on walls. Staff said she would bring towels to pool but never did. Patio outside area was locked. Food too expensive. But my biggest complaint was around 1145pm when we were all asleep, I awoke to the sound of a staff member (Im assuming) unlocking and opening our door. I had the safety lock on so they couldnt get all the way in. I couldnt sleep well after that imagining someone trying to steal my children.
Hotel is rather old, and not necessarily dirty but not sparkling clean either. Air was a bit musty in hallways and Im the room upon arrival. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of water pressure in the shower. Not sure Id recommend or stay again, especially considering there were much cheaper options nearby.
Front entrance is beautiful and sleek. Back of hotel, where our room was, could use a little attention. Dirty carpets, peeling popcorn ceiling, etc. Our room was fairly clean, with the exception of a tissue left in the peephole. The outlets were mostly non functioning as they had sunk into the wall too far to be used. Additional outlets on a desk lamp didnt work either. Room was liveable for two nights but probably wouldnt stay here again. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
I was the DJ at a 91st birthday party there a week ago. I have been there many times before in that capacity. I have never seen, heard of or experienced anything negative at DoubleTree Carrier Circle. The food was excellent, the staff: top-notch and friendly, the place is always clean and welcoming. For a DJ, bringing in equipment on 2 cartloads, its a very smooth in and out. I have nothing bad to report!
Extremely dissatisfied with my stay. There was mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom and base board trim was falling off of the walls in the room. On Thursday night, after a long day, I asked the bartender if they were serving food because the restaurant area and menu were COMPLETELY dark. Having enough of his rude attitude and condescending tone, I ended up having a pack of crackers in my room for dinner. Not that he knew (or cared) but that was how they treated a Diamond member.
We showed up at 12 because I (stupidly) thought we could check in at that time. We were wrong! The issue being I had a spinal injury and I needed to lay down after the drive, being in a ton of pain.Iris at the front desk totally helped us out and found us a room we could check into early and totally saved the day. Thanks so much for a great stay.
The hotel was very clean and everyone was very friendly. The beds were super comfortable also. The only complaint was that the glasses they used for our meeting werent entirely clean (marks and dust), but I also understand that sometimes that cannot be helped with the dishwasher and type of water here.
This hotel is so classy, pool was fun, there’s a relaxing outdoor area to relax after the pool, the rooms are so clean and cute, tv and WiFi is great. The morning breakfast is a little confusing to get but tasted great. Let’s just say after my stay here I’m only ever going to stay Hilton !
We had a great stay here! The rooms were clean, the lobby was spacious, and we were greeted with a warm smile and warm cookies. The breakfast buffet was delicious!! The staff was friendly. The pool and hot tub were perfect. Our kids said they didnt want to leave. And neither did we.
The staff is great. Beds are comfy. Rooms are clean. Restaurant food was great. Now the negative, the outlets are so worn nothing would stay plugged in. The air conditioning is ok, could have worked better as our room was warm and humid. I think with a few minor fixes and upgrades this would be a excellent hotel.
Bathtub was not clean when I checked in, black specks everywhere. I signed up for the airport shuttle at 4 AM, and when I came down at 3:59, they had no record of me being on the list, and found out the shuttle had left without me. The shuttle did turn around, but the frustration was already there.
Always a nice atmospheres. Very friendly cleaning staff as we ran into many Sunday morning as we were around. Only down side was the hot tub didnt bubble. I picked his hotel because my daughter could be in the pool and I could be in the hot tub with bubbles instead of a cold pool! But, the pool water was luke-warm, which is much appreciated on chilly days when after swimming you and your child are checking out. A woman tried to come fix the bubbles, but there was nothing she could do.😊Overall great stay, quiet and comfy bed, I dont ask for much but was disappointed about no bubbles🙄
We had a clean room with a desk and comfortable sitting chair. The beds were nice, though I much prefer queen sized ones to these doubles. I also like that dinner is available onsite. They lost one star for not providing anything free for breakfast, and charging $2.50 for a single serving box of cereal, then charging individually for everything else available except coffee. When not restricted by Covid-19 they charge over $10/person for a buffet. For a high end hotel either seems money-grubbing.Their other star was lost last night when I saw the bartender walk through the lobby with his mask under his chin to talk to another employee who had his under his nose, thus risking the health of both. When the bartender returned to his table of customers he put it back on with no care for preventing sharing of gems between his mask and his fingers. Mask wearing is no joke and I seriously considered getting us all packed up and demanding our money back so we could go somewhere safer.
The elevator floors were sticky, lack of communication, you had to reserve to use the pool but no where did it say you had to due so. Nor did any of the workers tell us... we just spent $150 at a hotel that we couldn’t even swim at for our anniversary. And they didn’t even try to make are stay any better.
Absolutely never staying here again. So many things went bad. The lady at the front desk, should be at a front desk. She was very cold. Our heat in our room , was broke. It was freezing. The pool was amazing the first night. But the second night it was cold.Just alot of coldness going on in this hotel. Lol
We came for a one night event and the stay was very nice. The hotel design and setup os beautiful and Id go as far as saying impeccable. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The pillows a tad too soft for me. The pizza room service was delicious. My only issue was with the event food. It left much to be desired. The bagels were bland and the pastry dry. I wouldve liked to go to the restaurant for breakfast but an $18 breakfast buffet is a little crazy unless you are a big eater and will get your money worth.
Room was a king with a balcony - room is on the dated side, balcony door needs to be replaced or fixed it was extremely difficult to open and close. Would have been nice to have a chair or 2 out there - a balcony room with no seating seems kind of pointless in my opinion. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable so over all stay was ok. Hotel staff we had interaction with was friendly and helpful.
Stayed here over the weekend. Almost every aspect of our stay was wonderful. The front desk staff was welcoming and accommodating, the bar staff Saturday was great. We were able to get a bottle opener and wine glasses quickly and without a hassle. Room service was good. The room was clean and the balcony was a nice amenity. The reason I deducted two stars was the hostess on Sunday morning. She was not welcoming at all, made it seem like we were causing her a problem by wanting to get something to eat, and ultimately we ended up eating somewhere else due to her attitude. If youre going to stay here and feel like a paying customer, skip the restaurant .
Location is easy and convenient. The renovations are great, both the lobby and the guest rooms look very nice and clean. Every employee we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The pool attendant was wonderful with my young nephew. The only negative for the stay was the breakfast buffet. The silverware and plates were not all completely clean and some of the food was cold.
We always stay at Hampton Inn and wanted to try something different. But definitely made a mistake. The location is not the best. Staff were not attentive. When we checked out this morning realized one of the bed sheets had torn inside and surprised they did not pay attention to this. Check out time was 11 am but the room service staff was at our door at 9:15 am. Though the hotel ambience was nice, we didnt have the best experience. Supposed to be a non-smoking floor, the smoke smell was very strong in our room/floor. Definitely missing Hilton standards.
Stayed here for two nights. Room heat didnt work so it was 65 down to 62 at night. Told the front desk who said there is no heat despite the fact that the other rooms we had did have heat. Then at night called back to the front desk. Security came and didnt seem surprised the front desk blew us off. Security guy brought us blankets which was great.Ultimately, there was no service recovery attempted, contact by management, or explanation and no improvement 24 hours later. Finally a tiny but efficient space heater came after the fourth complaint we made. Also, the configuration of the hotel makes it difficult to go between rooms. On the flip side house keeping was great and it was quite clean.
This was one of the best stays Ive ever had!! From their amazing chocolate chip and walnut cookies (free btw), to the meals at their restaurant (pictured). We could not get enough of their comfy king size bed and the gorgeous view outside of our window! The staff were all very kind and assisted with anything we needed.Very conveniently placed to get to the mall, and surrounding attractions. I will definitely be staying here again!
The hallways didnt look very nice. The popcorn ceiling and consistent dirt, scuff marks, and worn paint left much to be desired with the design. The room was okay. The shower worked great but the towels were very stiff and rough. The bed and pillows were comfy if you like soft. Nice television. The restaurant inside the hotel is very pricey and there isnt much around to eat unless you have a car or feel like walking.
We had a horrible experience! We stayed at this hotel one night on our vacation. When our daughter woke up to her suitcase and clothing being WET. The room above us leaked and dripped into her suitcase. Maintenance came down and confirmed a leaky ceiling (very wet and ceiling pieces falling). When we talked with the front desk, Greg (a manager), said he would do nothing for us because we booked through a third party site. Nothing! No real apology. He could have offered something. Vouchers to their breakfast restaurant maybe? Very poor customer service here!
The hotel itself is very beautiful when you walk in. It is very clean and organized. The staff are exceptional, all very friendly and very entertaining. The shuttle drivers make the rides enjoyable wity great conversation, and the rest of the hotel staff are very friendly and fun. The 4/5 is purely because there is always room for improvement: the shower is a few years old, understandably, but a new shower head would be good. It really is a lovely place to stay.
Nice, updated lobby. Clean pool area. Restaurant was staff was accommodating when we arrived late, (near closing time with a team) and they prepared our food orders for us in a quick and timely fashion. Rooms were nice, upon check in we recieved warm cookies and the room had complimentary bottles of water ( that is super appreciated!) and a Hershey bar!
This hotel was dirty. On the couch, the cushion had some dry food (or something else) on it. The windows were not clean. We couldnt barely see outside. The little guide of the hotel was dirty. We did the reservation for a king bed with a balcony because we had to stay in the hotel for the dinner and the night and they only give us a regular room with a king bed. Before going to the front desk, we tried to call the 0, but nobody answered. After we went back to the front desk, the only room available was a 2 double beds with a balcony and we choose that, like we didnt really had a choice. The balcony was dirty and it was the only balcony with no chairs. The pool was closed too and nothing was mention about it in the reservation. There was no fan in the bathroom. The common areas were dirty and it was not normal especially in a covid situation. The only nice thing was the starbucks coffee machine.
There is no AC in the rooms. I walked in and the temperature read 76 F. I called front desk and asked if the AC Was broken and that’s when i was informed that they don’t have AC right now. I was told to turn the heat off and the room “should Cool right down”. I Can’t even crack a window. And it’ll take HOURS for it to cool down. I like sleeping in a cold room. Not sweating. So i canceled my stay and i am currently waiting on a refund. The cookies They give at the front desk are great tho.
Very nice clean place. The bar in the evening was fun and the breakfast buffet with omelette station was awesome. The only thing negative I have to say is when we came down to swim, use the hot tub and sauna there were a lot of small children in the hot tub which should not be and there were some raised exposed nails in the sauna seating, which I told the front desk about and the nice gal there immediately called someone about it....but we were hoping that 9pm that pool area and facilities wouldve been a bit more adult and quieter. We would definitely stay there again. Fantastic.
Nice rooms and good food help this property. The bathroom is small with the door entirely too close to the toilet. The balance of the room is nice with a great TV. The security, corridors and elevators leave much to be desired. I have stayed several times arriving from midday to midnight to find exterior doorways unlocked and available for anyone to enter. The sliding glass doors in the room did not lock. I was on the 7th floor so it was no so much of a concern but the door did not close tight allowing a gentle breeze of 20F weather to come in. The corridors need paint and consistent attention. The elevators are extremely slow. I checked in after midnight with limited activity going on and still waited 3 minutes for an elevator. During the day I waited 4-5 minutes while staff used the elevator to go down one floor. This can be a great property with focus and attention.
Exceptional customer service! Mr. Jon, working the front desk, went above and beyond for customer satisfaction. I lost my charger and Mr. Jon let me borrow his to charge my personal phone. I also left my phone with him at the desk. Very trustworthy! Definitely high rating. The food and room accomodations were pleasant as well. Will stay again!
Had to move rooms when we got there and the second room we got was really not up to par for the brand. The pool area is amazing and the kids loved it. Food was also great, we had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. When my husband raised the issue of the room with Greg, one of the managers, he addressed our concerns right away and provided a great outcome. Kudos to Jeanette and Marri for the great breakfast experience.Overall, our experience was a good one because of the great service by the staff and the immediate attention provided by management.Thank you.
Outstanding experience. From the initial front desk staff, Danielle, to the check out assistance provided by Shawn, the staff here was excellent. Danielles customer service was top notch and she had a great personality, smile and attitude. Room was nice, clean and well maintained. Nice options at restaurant and bar and a lobby that is welcoming. Great place to stay if ever in Syracuse.
I stayed at this hotel for a conference for work. I thought the hotel was warm and inviting. I found it to be clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding. I was very pleased and would have no problem staying there again. I highly reccomend this hotel and their restaurant.. Thanks for a great stay!
Very nice hotel, but the room severely hindered the experience.Great for business conventions, as there are a plethora of meeting rooms both big and small. The lobby is beautiful, and features a bar, and attached ballroom.Unfortunately, none of the outlets in my room worked due to the way they were designed, in a strange concave way into the wall. The towels/bathroom supplies were limited and not replenished as often as they should have been.Additionally, the wifi was super wonky and I was u able to comment the entirety of my stay.Overall, its a nice hotel with a pleasant design and the employees were all nice, but the room situation killed the experience for me.
Typical high standards from a Hilton Property. Staff courteous, professional and helpful. Facility is immaculate. Love the fact that they have both an indoor and outdoor pool. The fitness room was clean. The equipment was working and there were plenty of machines. Disinfectant wipes for the machines. My husband and I got an unrequested perk-we booked a King room. When we walked in we actually had a King courtesy suite at no extra cost.
We had a medical emergency while travelling through Syracuse & wound up staying at this hotel for a few weeks. These people couldnt have been more friendly, kind & accommodating to whatever we needed. They went above & beyond being Hilton employees & became our friends. They always took the time to find out what was going on & how my mom was doing. Its a well run hotel with lots going on & yet these people from the GM , the restaurant the front desk, office & staff were genuinely concerned for my family & went out of their way to take care of us. Truly great people & so thankful we stayed here.
Location is super easy to find coming off 481. The building itself is old-ish, but the inside is clean and comfy. Lots of places in lobby area to chill. Hotel restaurant is very nice. There is also a bar, as well as a pantry for sundries. Staff are helpful and friendly. Room is spacious and clean. Everything works. Will return.
Room was fine and the restaurant and bar good. Slight mark down for accessibility. Not in the ADA sense. Im talking hotel access. Front entrance is miles from the elevators. Two back entrances, one close to the elevators, one not. But both involved climbing stairs, so with luggage, not really good options. I would have scored it 3.5, but can only use whole numbers. Bottom line, still the best hotel near the airport.
I was in a bind because of work and Nicole and Linda went above and beyond their job scope. Nicole was extremely busy and I honestly thought she was going to say no to my request. Nicole and Linda teamed up and really helped me. I will definitely stay here on business in the future and encourage my fellow management team to do likewise. Thank you guys if you read this!
The photos and information are deceiving. Our room was disgusting. The walls were literally peeling and falling down. There were stains on the beds and the room smelled like mildew. I went to the front desk and was told that we could have an engineer come in and fix the walls WHILE we were staying in the room. I felt it was unacceptable for them to repair walls while we were staying in the room. I had to request we be moved to a new room only to be told that it wasn’t possible until 2 pm. I let the girl at the front desk know that we would be gone all day and wouldn’t return until well After 2 PM. She said that was fine and she would pass the info along to the next shift and we could just let them know when we returned that evening. When we returned the next shift had no idea what I was talking about and we were stuck in that disgusting room. The balcony door was hard to open and close. The railing on the balcony was old and loose. There was no seating on the balcony. The AC was unable to keep the room cool and made everything in the room feel damp, which is probably the cause of the mildew smell. Also, we selected this hotel because it stated that there was an indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool has been filled in and turned into an additional patio area. Info needs to be updated and pictures of the outdoor pool needs to be removed. We have 2 more trips planned to this area before the end of the month and will be finding a different hotel!
My son and I had a great stay. We spent 3 nights while enjoying the State Fair. All the staff were very kind and courteous to any of our needs. The shuttle drivers were awesome getting us to and from the train station, as well as a couple local site seeing ventures. Our room was directly by the elevators on 6th floor which never once caused a issue, was very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the pools very much.Only very small drawbacks to the hotel (for us), breakfast we thought was a bit pricey for our needs (they do have complementary coffee in AM), and not much with in walking distance. Not a huge issue due to the very well run shuttle and they have a little storeWe had a great little vacation, and the hotel and staff surely played a major part in that!
Able to do early check in and late checkout, room was clean with fast working central air/heat. Upon arrival was greeted with 2 hot fresh cookies the hotel was located 15 minutes from Destiny USA and downtown area. I would stay again and recommend for those trying to have a quiet get away, bonus having the bar located downstairs. All the staff and service were excellent.
Clean room and all the class you expect from a Hilton. The restaurant was one of the worst experience I have had in any restaurant. Misleading information on the price, 19$ of power eggs standard sausage and sub-par bacon. Dont try it, the health department needs to check out there operation, I got sick less then n hour after. While I may have had a bad experience with the breakfast, let me be clear to everybody looking for a hotel. This was one of the best Hiltons I have stayed in! The hotel staff, even though at the counter were being overrun by a massive group, they were genuine in their kindness and in their welcoming. Even though I did get sick The rest of the experience was so enjoyable and I was so impressed with the staff I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and I will return.
Had a work conference in the grand ballroom. The room was very clean and professional looking. The tables had table clothson them. Each table had a pitcher of water and 6 water glasses, along with hotel notepads, pens and mints. In the hall they had beverages and muffins and danishes. The ladies room was clean and well stocked. All hotel staff i came in contact with was very nice and professional.
Rooms were clean, comfortable and the Wifi was good. Our room was located right beside the elevators and we didnt have any issues with that.. however the walls between the rooms are quite thin. We heard our neighbours talk and ~you know what~ all night long.. nothing the hotel staff could control but still something to take under consideration if you need a quite room!
Good hotel in most ways. Just wish theyd get rid of those stupid new luggage carriers that barely work and I also am mot to fond with the small beds for family stays, me and my brother couldnt fit on the one that we had to share and the shower in the room was also undesirable. Food was good though, and the service and extra facilities are what I would expect of the Hilton franchise and I am please with my stay.
I was there for a college visit with my family, and the room was incredibly spacious and clean. The hallway was far removed from overnight guests so we didnt bother them and vice versa. There was complimentary coffee and water courtesy of the Hilton, and the chairs were decently comfortable as well. In fact, at one point my little sister got bored of the meeting and went around the hotel with my mom-when the college meeting wrapped up, she found me and declared Im going to manage a hotel like this someday!
I have only good things to say about the Syracuse DoubleTree. The rooms were very nice, the bartender was excellent, as was the food in the restaurant. I did not personally use the pool or exercise area but both looked very nice. Above all, the staff were personable and extremely helpful. More than once they remembered a request that they couldnt fulfill and came to seek us out and let us know the moment something changed. Plus the free cookie tastes great.
Usually stay at this hotel when Im in town, this has been my 3rd stay. Facilities are outstanding for the area and the price for the room is on par with the surrounding hotels so its usually my go to choice. While others have said the rooms are dated, I dont agree, its very spacious and clean. On the other hand, and the reason for subtracting a star, the walls between rooms are paper thin. Both nights i stayed I could hear conversations in both adjoining rooms, and these people werent yelling at all, just very thin walls. Other than that, I will continue to stay here when Im in town
We unfortunately did not have a great experience at this hotel. When we arrived the hotel was not cleaned. There were hairs on the toilet seat, used kleenex in the box and a dirty towel hanging up. The supervisor who came to help was very nice and helpful but unfortunately that didnt fix the uncleanliness of the room. There is no breakfast and for the price you would expect a continental breakfast. Also, the reception at the front desk was not friendly and welcoming. I definitely would not visit this particular hotel again.
Not only was the welcoming hostess , the decor, location, the quality the food, style, sauna, the bar and elegance of this Hotel was top notch. The staff was even an even bigger BONUS! The check in ladies ( Ashley, Melissa, Marissa and Bethany) are not only beautiful they are friendly and extremely accommodating.. The rooms are cozy and comfortable and offers daily non abrasive housekeeping. The BAR is reasonably price and it comes with a GREAT BARTENDER
Really nice hotel with spacious rooms that are fairly modern looking. The whole building is modern and built fairly recently. Their gym and pool looked really nice. They have a bar and restaurant area to have breakfast through dinner at. The hotel sits only a couple miles away from the airport and the hotel has a shuttle to pick you up and drop you off. They also take you anywhere within a 5 mile radius so long as it doesnt interfere with airport pickup or dropoffs. Hotel also has meeting room space which I didnt see but seemed spacious from the amount of people I saw in the lobby that was part of a giant group. Great hotel, would definitely stay again.
Clean rooms. Great restaurant and especially the bar and bar tender. Great Location near airport with a 4am shuttle service which is earlier than any other hotel. Flight was canceled and my daughter and I were stuck in Syracuse overnight and this hotel was far better than the best western nest to the airport for only a little more money and less than the Embassy Suites. My daughter was sick in bed during her stay and the restaurant was able to make custom food for her liking for me to take to her room even in the midst of large events. Only concern is the leaking roof at both the front entrance and the top floor where water was coming in from the roof in the hallway in front of our room.
Called the front desk the day of and she gave me the same price as the best online discount price I could find, including adding in the $18 breakfast for us. Nice rooms, comfortable beds, nice indoor pool and very good breakfast. Right off the highway, convenient and nice staff.
Came to Syracuse to visit a few colleges in the area with my daughter. We checked in on Thursday and everything seemed to be ok. Saturday the weather was warm, about 55 degrees but our room was about 74 degrees. We decided to turn on the AC to cool it down before we left for dinner. When we returned the room was still 74 degrees. We spoke to the front desk about it and got a ride woman who said thats what happens when your room is above the boiler room. The AC is pushing out hit air, not even cool air. The dront desk was informed about an hour later and again we were informed there was nothing they could do and if we wanted we could sleep with the window open. The problem with that is that its room 258 and on the back of the hotel ground floor. Im not sleeping with the window open. I will be contacting corporate and making a formal complaint and giving the front desk attendants name. She was rude both times.
The room was clean and spacious with fridge, tv, dresser, closet desk, and chair with footstool. Everything was comfortable and easy. The bathroom was clean with shower/tub, sink and toilet. There offer a breakfast buffet which was very nice including pancakes and french toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and tons of fresh fruit. It was just over $11 for the buffet. They offer room service as well as a breakfast you can order the night before to be delivered to your room at a specified time. There was plenty of parking even though there were multiple events going on at the same time.
Great clean room my kids loved the indoor pool and spa , the breakfast selection , hospitality, service was amazing . My husband also had forgot his wedding ring in the hotel , and we all ready half hour away , we got called that they found a ring in the room . I would like to thank the room service and the management to personally give a big thanks to that person for us . Thank you!Yasemin Guven room 556 😉
Love this hotel because the location is extremely convenient. But if you are in a wheelchair the bathroom is accessible but the rooms are really hard to move around in. Very small rooms! But love the pool and cookies so good!! Also every staff member I had encountered went out of their way to accommodate me! Very pleasant and outgoing for sure!! A++++ service for sure! Even though I cant move around this still is the only hotel I stay at when I come to Syracuse because of the staff members!!
Very impressive! Interior & furnishings were very nice. Cloth table covers are rotated after every use. Our meal was somewhat expensive, & I was somewhat put off by the $7.00 price tag for a bottle of Sam Adams. But Kim, our waitress, was very polite & efficient. Our meals also arrived very quickly & we felt welcomed there. We wont go often due to the expense, but I recommend it.
Great hotel, friendly staff, good sized rooms, clean, and has a pool. This was one of our most enjoyable hotel stays in the area. The pillows are not great, but same as most hotels. You pay a little more but for us its worth it to have a pool for the kids and a restaurant or some food options for the kids for breakfast that we dont have to leave and come back.
The breakfast staff was amazingly friendly this morning! I never got our waitress name, but we paid it forward to her because of her genuine personality and great work ethic. So many times people come into these hotels and treat the staff like second class citizens and this lady took it all in stride. She had patience with an older gentleman who questioned every charge on his breakfast tab and went over it with him repeatedly. There was another idiot who demanded to know where the omelet staff was then didnt bother to order an omelet after she went and got the chef for him... she continued to wait on everyone with a real smile and a spring in her step. When we gave her our tip, she was amazed and went and got her boss and introduced us. I explained she had earned every penny with her great attitude. Please remember that everyone works hard for their money and treat these folks with dignity and respect! The staff at this hotel are all amazing! I wish I could afford to tip them all ♡♡
We were greeted by Patrice with warm chocolate chip cookies when we checked in at midnight after a long day on the road, the room was very clean the bed was ridiculously comfortable, in the morning we had breakfast in the dinning room and were greeted by a very sweet server Bonnie and had a wonderful breakfast. We look forward to stay again and would recommend this hotel highly. Keep up the good work!!😊
I have not stayed in a Doubletree in some time and it will go back low on my list of places to stay.I was in a handicapped room, which if I had to use any assistive devices, it would have been a great challenge. The room is small and tight. Miss not having a microwave, so if you expect one, be prepared.Cobwebs and mold are easily visable. Towels looked old. Im guessing that maybe this room is not used often.I had dinner in the cafe, would not recommend the food. Overpriced and not appealing.Best asset here are their staff. Professional and friendly.Staff are very warm and accommodating
Didn’t get a chance to stay at the room. On there website it says you have to be 18+ to rent out a room but after we payed they said the age requirement is 21. I don’t mind that we couldn’t get the room it’s the fact we payed for the room and she would not give us our money back. I was not trying to be difficult either I just simply ask for a book with there policy’s and regulations so I confirm it but she just gave me complete attitude. They were no help to us whatsoever and $200 went down the drain a long with rude service. Don’t spend your ball or prom night here just cause there website says 18 does not mean it’s 18
Wasnt to please. We took the kids there to let them have a mini break go swimming ect. The rooms were set up that good if you open the bathroom door you couldnt get out of the room. The air conditioning needs to be cleaned BAD. Spent the night there got sick and ended up in the er the next day from the stuff in the vents. The tub had white stuff in it and when I said something to the front staff they tried to ask us if we wanted a cookie -.-I will say,The pool is nice ,spa tub is nice and fitness center. However, still wasnt thrill with getting sick.
9 of us went there for Easter Brunch...NEVER again! Breakfast foods for brunch were horrible. Scrambled eggs were slimy, home fries were definitely frozen and over cooked, sausages were so over cooked they could not be cut with a knife, the waffles were dark, dark brown. They rest of the buffet was okay but nothing a special. We were seated at a table that was not set and we all were almost finished eating when water was brought to our table. My husband asked for a glass of orange juice...he never got it even after asking 4- 5 times. The tip was included in the bill and the waitress still asked us if we wanted change. We normally go to the Genesee Inn , we thought it might be nice to try a different place. Back to the Genesee Inn next year where the service is great, tables are set and food is terrific.
The hotel was contemporary and the staff were friendly. The bar and restaurant had an open layout, and the gym and pools (indoor and outdoor) looked nice. The gym had this weird leak from one of the roof tiles, and it looked like the hotel was catching water with a bucket (which was still splashing water on the gym floor). The room also didnt have shampoos, soaps, or conditioners on arrival.
I was here as a speaker at a conference. The lobby meeting areas, check in experience and everything was 5 star. When I opened the door to my room however, I was shocked by the change. Though it was clean, the decor was old, paint peeling at seams in bathroom and overall a complete contrast to everything else I saw. Unfortunately I forgot to get photos. Maybe they were renovating the place and didnt make it to my wing yet. Whatever the case, my room experience was clean but definitely sub-par for a Doubletree.
Excellent service staff for a convention we recently attended, but very poor housekeeping in the rooms. It seemed like they only did what they wanted to - got extra toilet paper but completely out of tissues, provided half the coffee supplies, and didnt dump our trash.
I always stay at this hotel when staying in Syracuse. Great staff, always great bartender! The cookies you get are the best! They will deliver anything to your room at any time of the night or day, I almost ordered fried dough at 2:30am. The security guard does a great job at keeping the grounds safe and free of sketchy people however I really appreciate him letting us have a few drinks by my car and not saying a word about it, he just looked at my room key to verify I was infact staying there overnight.
Traveled here for a business trip. Fantastic service. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The remodeled lobby and lounge is fresh and hip with a glass fireplace and bar. The room was clean and the bed was very comfy. Nice spread at their breakfast buffet with custom omelets.Greg Biggs did a great job accomdating my request for a late check out when I told him my meetings would end late. I will choose this hotel again when I travel back to Syracuse in a couple of months.I used the gym, the hot. All in good working condition.
Great place to stay in East Syracuse as it is right off the Thruway. Front desk staff are courteous and helpful. And you even get a free cookie. The room are neat and clean but you will need to play with the temperature as the cold/heat uses the same switch. The gym has the right equipment. They got indoor and outdoor pool as well as jacuzzi which are open late except for the outdoor pool during winter. The bar in the lobby is well stocked and the drinks are well made. Definitely recommend staying in this hotel.
I travel a lot and I only stay at Hilton Hotels. I always like it when housekeeping services my room when I stay more than one night and I always make sure my bag is in a specific position so that if anyone goes into my bag, Ill know they touched it.Unfortunately, I went back to my room and saw inside my luggage was touched and Im missing a shirt and a pair of shorts. The hotel didnt care to do anything about this matter (even though Im a diamond member). So if you decide to stay here, make sure you stay for only one night but if you are staying longer, make sure you lock your luggage because the housekeepers are THIEVES. Or simply just deny the housekeeping option. But I must say, the people working in the breakfast area and at the bar area were very nice and accommodating.
Generally pleasant. A little rundown on some respects. Quick delivery of a rollaway cot, but had to ask twice for blankets. Like most hotels they have a policy of asking you to hang up used towels which dont need to be washed yet, but in our room there were only a few hooks making this impractical for our family of 4. Insufficient elevator capacity when hotel is busy.
When I called the main number to make a reservation for 2 rooms, I specifically asked for rooms that join b/c we were traveling with our children. After making the reservation, I called the actual hotel itself and AGAIN asked for 2 rooms that join ( totally going overboard - but wanted to make sure). I was told absolutely no problem...we will make a note of it. When I arrived at 1:00am - not only did they not have 2 rooms for me that joined, they had no note anywhere of this request (I asked twice!!). It took them 30 MINUTES to figure something out. I was not offered any compensation to make up for this experience.I went down the next morning to the front desk and was told they had no idea that I needed 2 joining rooms - again no note left, no communication. That day by 5pm we had 2 rooms that joined - one room was next to a HUGE suite and I asked if I could be upgraded to that room to make up for my inconvenience yesterday and I was told it was being rented for that evening. LIE! No one was in that room at all that night.Never ever will I go to a Hilton again. I am a Hilton Honors member (for whatever that is worth) and I am going to ask them to cancel my membership. Terrible service.
Great customer service, 5 stars. Facility is due for an update but the trip is worth it. The bus shuttle driver clued me in to order a late dinner and it was ready at check in. The Turkey Club is amazing. Get the sweet potato fries, too. Fair selection of local craft beers.
Hotel was fairly nice. Room was clean but many updates needed and repairs. Balcony was dirty and dumpy. Many cosmetic repairs needed throughout hotel. Staff was unfriendly also, especially maids, etc. Bought a bottle of water. Sign said 2.00 was charged 2.50. Cashier said she would change the sign. She should have given me the $2.00 price.
Unfortunately DoubleTree was completely disappointing. Check in was stern and unfriendly our room temperature was set to 35 F so it was too cold. There was garbage on the floor of the hotel room and bathroom floor. The bathroom mirror was dirty the towels were stuffed into their cubby and the toilet paper crumped rather than folded neatly or left hanging. Our mattress, comforter, and mattress pad were stained and the room glasses had grease on them. After bring this up to Melissa at front desk I felt assured these issues would be addressed by the Front Office Manager but after giving my information have received no response or acknowledgement which is essentially all I asked for. I would highly recommend staying at the Marriott near by this hotel was newly updated by hard to sleep in when you wonder if anything was cleaned at all.
Pretty snazzy place. The rooms are outdated, but the new lobby renovation is super nice. The check in and open your room with the Hilton app is pretty cool do. Dont even have to talk to anyone if you dont want to.Wish they would fix the balcony doors though. I almost give myself a hernia trying to open them every time I stay here. Im a reformed smoker, I only vape now. Every though its harmless and smells like I burned a fruit flavored candle when I use it, I still dont do it inside. Those balconies could be nice. Yes. I realize this is Syracuse and its rarely if ever nice outside, but I still go out even if its snowing sideways. Ive stayed here probably 10 times in the last 2 years and its nicer every time I go.
I had a very unpleasant experience. I booked this hotel for an OUTSIDE pool. It did not have that despite it being advertised and shown off on the site. Also, upon arrival it turned out that I booked a 4 person room for 5 persons. Despite booking for 5 persons the room could only hold 4 and also the prior-paid-for breakfast was only for 4 people. Never on the site did it say that! Turns out you can put as many people on a room as you want but it would be nice to state that on the site. I said that those 2 let down did not approve my vision on the hotel at all. The (friendly) staff offered me a discount on the second room so I was happy they at least made a compromise. All in all: the staff was friendly, the hotel was modern enough but like I said, the advertised outside pool is not there anymore, you can see it was but they sealed it with non-matching tiles. Because of that I am not going to stay at DT when I am visiting my sister whom lives in Syracuse when I come from Amsterdam.Ps: The staff is not blameable for the incident at check-in. It is the DoubleTree system that is unclear and misleading.
We consider the DT/Syracuse our stay cation go-to venue - personable staff, great renovated rooms, so many amenities, and dont forget the breakfast buffet! So much to do, you dont need to leave the hotel. Hot chocolate chip cookies on arrival arent bad either! I attended a huge event the end of February and it was extremely well organized and loads of fun. Enjoy!
Great indoor and outdoor pools with an amazing hot tub! Rooms were a bit smaller then expected but clean and updated.Friendly, professional staff.Delicious choc chip cookies given to all guests upon check-in. 🍪 *Always look online for booking as I got an amazing rate with orbitz on a SAME day booking😄*
- The food was not great and their waitresses were all snotty and rude. - The shuttle was very bad at arriving on time. - The mini fridge was empty, no water. - The maintenance workers were rude when it came to cleaning the pool, throwing around chlorine powder and making our group leave the pool due to how heavy the air was afterwards
Kim held the restaurant together! She called me by name and always happy with a smile. Wednesday when she wasn’t there the staff was fighting and running back and forth. Horrible service without her. She needs to me a manager. Besides that only thing I would change is having the cleaners wipe the bathroom ceiling because there’s black mold growing because there are no events in the bathrooms. Only thing about the room I didn’t enjoy was the patched ceilings in the room too! Popcorn 🍿
We attended the Easter buffet which we were very dissatisfied with especially for the price. For the amount we paid we would have expected lobster, steamers, shrimp and a variety of steaks, however we received scrambled eggs, bacon waffles and a few other picks which were minimal at best. We were very surprised in that previous years it was worth the $45, I dare say we will not be returning.Sean M
Even though the hotel was absolutely overflowing with teenagers partying in their expensive rented finery, the staff was very calm and welcoming, and we never even heard all the partying again once we closed the door to our room. Good stuff. Oh, and the breakfast buffet had the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had on a buffet.
I stayed here and got two rooms at this hotel for two nights. I had my kids with me and unfortunately my stay here was a nightmare.. Ive stayed at many double tree hotels and always enjoyed my stay.. The staff here was unresponsive and could barely answer my questions when I called the front desk for help. We needed to request pillows for my kids room.. For some reason the front desk did not know the hours for the restaurant in the hotel and kept putting me on hold for extensive amounts of times in order to answer simple questions. There was barely a vegetarian selection for the breakfast the next morning. We had a long drive ahead of us and woke up late because the wake up call never called.. I travel very often and can say that I was extremely disappointed. When I finally checked out and explained what happened to a manager he said it was unfortunate and did not offer an apology for the poor service.. this is not a typical double tree experience and left allot to be desired... 👎👎
I went there yesterday with two other guests for Thanksgiving dinner. Three PM reservations, my honest opinion, they actually seem to be overwhelmed understaffed and food was cold! They also included and unlimited salad bar, with a fruit bar and the only fruit present or bananas, and the labels for the dressing or not Mark you had no clue what youre getting! I wont be going back there last year!
I stay here 4 nights a month for work, and I never have a bad experience. Sometimes a weird smell when I enter the rooms, although they are noticeably older than other hotels around the area. Showers could do with some work, but for the purpose of staying a few nights away from home, it does the job.
Stayed at this hotel last night and after unpacking we realized dirty towels were still left in the bathroom, toothpaste was in the sink and hair was all over the floor and toilet. Called the front desk and they offered to change our room. I was traveling with 2 little ones so having to pack up and switch rooms would have been a pain. I stayed on a no smoking floor and we smelled weed coming through our vents and explaining that smell to kids is always fun. Pillows were feather pillows, but you need 3 or 4 to be comfortable. The front desk staff was really nice and courteous, but the fact the room was dirty, guests were smoking weed, i do not think we will be coming back. The hallways did look clean, but the hallway near the elevator and on the elevator had a foul smell like eggs or rotten food. Oh and a blood stained pillow, which i took a picture of in case a manager would like proof was also given to us.
Facility needs some work. Entrance shows cobwebs dirty when walking up to building in entranceway. Conference room was ample for however temperatures were too cold in back of room and about right in the front of the room. A/V was good for front and middle but back was a little difficult. It might work better to have screens at both ends of room. Traffic was very congestive on getting there as well as leaving. So take extra time for your travel to be safe.
We got a great price considering the big Syracuse Nationals Car Show event. Their full breakfast included with the room is really good including the made-to-order omelette. Beds are super comfortable pillow top mattresses. Front desk staff was great and the free cookies were an unexpected bonus!
I travel a lot for business and this hotel has some of the most clueless staff, and it was not just once or twice, try FOUR evenings on FOUR separate occasions. The staff have messed up my reservation twice, they had me down for 2 doubles instead of one king room and then they tried to tell me they were sold out and could not give me a better room. When I pushed the issue since I made my reservation well in advance they fixed it. I asked for a mini fridge once and they said they had no more available so I could put my food/groceries in the staff kitchen downstairs, are you kidding me?!They forgot my wakeupcall and breakfast/room service one morning on another stay. Most rooms on lower floors dont have mini fridges and the bathrooms are really tiny. There are many other hotels in the area with more helpful staff and friendlier folks.I am not staying there anymore, they have really comfortable beds and clean rooms but that is the only positive thing I can say.
2 stars: Normally great reviews for Doubletree, but at this one, our room did not seem clean, there was underwear left in the drawer, the F word was written on the bathroom mirror, there was no hairdryer, and some of the outlets werent working. Even the cold chocolate chip cookies could not save our stay.Edit, maybe 4 stars: Stayed at this Doubletree 8 months after the previous review. Much hapoier this time! The hotel was newly renovated and we got a much larger room with both a large bed and a lounge/TV area. There were no problems with the outlets or bathroom this time, and the pool was great to use in the summer heat.
The people taking care of you were great. Treat you respectfully and take care of you but the reason for not getting a 5 star rating is how far the rooms given to you are. What it seems is that cheaper the rate you pay for your rooms, the further you are placed from the entrance of the hotel and that translates into walking a lot. The experience wasnt pleasant when you throw in having to carry baggage with no roller wheels and having to take care of 3 children.
The lobby of the hotel is ok, but rooms are outdated and need renovation. In addition to that there was a flashing security light on the wall which blinked all night which prevented me falling asleep. I would probably try to look for a different hotel in Syracuse next time
Indoor pool with spa, nice little gym with all you need to exercise. Food is really good at any hour(roon service till 11 pm) and breakfast buffet is amazing. Saw pictures of an outdoor pool but there arent any. Huge patio outside. Great location for anything you want to do in Syracuse or near by. Employees are great and helpful. Beds are comfy. I recommend this place for sure !
Was present for a retirement party for family member. Multiple people had to change rooms due to black mold on the ceilings. Rooms were dirty with hair in bathroom, staff was decent except one female who was rude to several people including my 10 year old. Never again waste money here.
Went with the family for Easter dinner. Aside from it being loud and crowded, the food was very enjoyable and it was a great place to catch up with the family. The staff were very friendly and fast working to keep tables clear of empty plates and such. There was virtually no wait to be let into the buffet which was a big plus as well.
This was one of the worst experiences I have had with a hotel. We arrived just past the posted room available time (3:10) and were told it would be about 20 minutes. 3 hours later (with many attempts to access our room) we were given access. We were told they were short staffed, although it appeared that the visiting football team from Pitt, had immediate access to their rooms, go figure. We were never compensated for our long wait and my wife fell asleep on the couch. We will not be coming back anytime soon.

2022-05-19My wife and I recently had our wedding at the DoubleTree and could not have asked for a better experience. Accommodations were excellent for both us and our guests, and the event was everything we couldve asked for. Linda and her team are absolutely top-notch, were amazing to work with, and made our day more than amazing. Food and service was fantastic!

2022-02-22When I walked into the hotel it looked very nice, and the lady at the front desk was very nice. As soon as I went down the hall to get to the elevator there were crushed chips all over, including in the elevator. Got to my room, was there 20 mins and called and asked to be moved. The room next to me was sooooo loud it was unbearable. Parents and kids screaming. Kids running up the hallways. We moved to a better location, room was out dated, hole in the pillow as well. We decided to go to the pool, it was absolutely filthy. Looked like feces in the pool, dirty wet towels all over the floor, water bottles all over. The food was pretty good but expensive. I then go to check out the next morning, a lady was at the desk asking for change in her underwear and bra...I was mortified my child had to see that. The man at the desk apologized. Needless to say I will not be coming back.

2022-04-13This hotel is nasty. I was staying in this hotel for a work conference. In my first room, I had a LIVE BED BUG and blood stains on the pillow and sheets. My co-workers first room smelled bad of cigarettes and its supposedly a non-smoking hotel. In her second room had blood stains, signs of bed bugs on her sheet and mattress. In my second room, I had WORSE blood stains on the bed cover. My coworkers room had signs of bed bugs and a dead bed bug in her THIRD room. So 4 rooms had bed bugs. I will never think of staying at this hotel ever again. Absolutely nasty!!

2022-04-16We stayed one night in room 454. The room smelled like cigarettes and have seen better days. I was too tired to complain about getting a different one since we checked in at 3 am and in the morning all I got was an unapologetic “sorry”. Lobby is nice, breakfast is ok but the room we stayed in was horrible and that’s why this rating.

2022-04-12Clean and my room came with a hair dryer. This place needs more vegan options when catering events like a conference. Vegetarian meals arent vegan; vegan meals can be made vegetarian.Staff was amazing and they were all so friendly!

2022-03-13Pretty underwhelming. The building feels old as soon as you leave the lobby. Though nothing major was missing, a few small things added up made this a poor visit... TV doesnt allow you to change the channel without inputting the exact channel number. Room was only somewhat clean. Wallpaper kind of peeling off. No bottled water in the room. I woke up a few times because the hallway noise is noticeable, along with conversation from the room next door.

2022-06-07My wife and I were in town on business and the I reserved our room via the Hilton Honors App and we booked a king suite and were bumped to a king single room. The person I checked in with and expressed my concern seemed like she could careless. She rapidly asked me if I wanted to go to another hotel. We will not stay there again! The bed and pillows were not comfortable and the room was not clean and needed repairs. The a/c did not work probably, the water pressure in the shower was horrible and the condensation in the room and vanity area made the dry towels and our clothes damp!!! Not to mention the side door we were instructed to use had people outside of it smoking weed. I expressed my concern and did want to constantly walk through it the person at the front desk said their is nothing they can do. So disappointing for a Hilton hotel to be run this way!!

2022-05-14Stayed here for a work trip. Have to say, the room and hotel was very clean, hotel restaurant was good and a fair price. Only complaint was location. Not really near a whole lot but I would still recommend staying here.

2022-03-16An upscale hotel that has multiple ballroom and meeting areas. Their breakfast is freshly made to order, but is an additional fee from the overnight stay. The bar is open until 10 pm and serves pub style food for lunch and dinners. The ballroom is on the first floor and is separate from the main foyer. There are meeting rooms for breakout or executive board meetings as well.

2022-03-21For the cost of the stay and the reputation of Hilton, I really thought it would be better. Our hotel room door didnt latch closed without extra force. I find it odd and less sanitary that the beds didnt have flat sheets, only a comforter. The TV wouldnt turn on, so we had to request for someone to fix it while we were out.We could always hear the people above us talking and walking around, and we could hear their dog. The bathroom in the room has no ventilation and only has one towel hook for a room with two beds. Additionally, the outlets in our room were loose. The hottub didnt seem clean because it looked like the tiled bench was moldy. Additionally, the staff has been less than friendly, and the restaurant did not get our drink or our food order right (soda and soup).
