Had been with another security company for 13-years. As time went on their services became virtually nonexistent. I called Carl at Doyle for a whole house review and to discuss Doyle Services. Carl didn’t a great job, made recommendations, and I was sold. The installer Mike also did a great job on the install. Very neat and organized. He was very thorough in explaining the new system to us.We are extremely pleased and feel a lot more secure with Doyle. Many thanks to Carl and Mike.
I got quotes from protect America and ADT, both did not settle well between misleading contracts and pushy sales. After doing a ton of research and seeing who was popular in my area, Doyle really came through. Our consultant was excellent with absolutely 0 sales pitches or pressure and I was able to piece together the exact system I wanted at the perfect price. Installation was great and the technician left my house in perfect condition. So far I am extremely pleased with this company and glad I can support a local business. They are really the Cadillac of security companies, you can’t go wrong.

We have had This security company for 3 years now and have Consistent problems with their camera systems to the fact that they are consistently down. I have even paid for the upgrading of their system only to have significantly more down time. What good is a home security system if it is consistently going down? Most recently I have had technicians out or resolve/fix the problems only to have more problems. When I called recently to communicate my concerns, I was promised a call back. Guess what? No call and it has been a few weeks now. When you call, Mr. Doyle answers the phone (albeit a digital comment) and promises great service. Mr. Doyle, could you please help us out? We have a lot invested in your systems.
Justin was here to replace four smoke detectors, which he did in about 30 minutes. He learned from us that another technician was scheduled to replace a radio transmitter the next day and offered to contact his service center to request permission to complete that service call while he was here and eliminate the inconvenience of another servicing the next day. He completed that radio replacement and was finished with everything within an hour.Nice work Justin and thanks for your excellent work and special consideration.
My system needed the 4G upgrade. Service technician Mark came out and replaced panel and downloaded new upgrade and then tested system to make sure it was working properly. He also inspected my smoke detectors and answered a few questions I had. Very professional. Thank you!
My house builder installed my fire alarms and CO Detectors by sub contracting out to Doyle. Now that my equipment needs servicing (CO Detectors have sensors that expire) they will not service by installing replacement equipment because Im not a monitoring customer. This is extortion and horrible customer service. Avoid Doyle at all costs.
I am always pleased with the service I receive from Doyle. Marvin, one of their technicians, just came for my yearly inspection. He was very thorough and answered all my questions to make sure I was satisfied understanding the protection my home has in case of intrusion, fire or a carbon monoxide leak. I am glad to know when I may be away from home that Doyle is monitoring my home at their headquarters!.
I have had a Doyle Security system in my home for the last 2 years and have been completely satisfied with the customer service and attention to detail that Doyle provides. A few months ago one of the glass break censors malfunctioned and a representative from Doyle came and replaced the censor within a couple of hours. Very happy with our system and the responsiveness from Doyle.
We’re a customer home builder in upstate New York. We have used Doyle for all of our security needs for over 20 years. The office staff as well as all of their field installers have always been extremely knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. I would highly recommend them.
I am sadly very dissatisfied with Doyle. I tried to resolve this with customer service and was told a manager would call me. I am still waiting for a call back and it has been about a month. I originally decided to go with the company because they were locally owned and had good reviews, but now I feel like I have been misled and probably should have picked one of the other companies.Update:May 9, 2020: I was told that a manager would call us back, but I havent heard from them yet.Update. May 27,2020We got a call from Doyle and felt that our concerns were acknowledged, taken seriously, and addressed to our complete satisfaction. The company lived up to our expectations.
Ive recommended Doyle now to all of my neighbors. The salesman Drew was top notch at providing me with the right package that covered my needs with both equipment and monitoring. The installer Ray was knowledgeable, attentive to my questions and respected my house as he went around hooking everything up throughout the property. The best part is you get this type of quality with affordability.
I hired them in December 2019. There are constant issues. When things are working, it is great. And the technicians are great. But I wish I had chosen another security provider. I am tired of taking off work and meeting with technicians once a month. I am tired of my emails getting ignored when I have questions about the app. I am tired of having to make sure all my cameras work, and then going through periods where they dont. Why am I paying $40 a month for a security system that doesnt work? One would think they would take someones safety a little more seriously.
We have had a Doyle security system for 3 years. At one point we had some difficulty arming and disarming the system but Doyle fixed the problem, far surpassing our expectations. All of the technicians are professional, courteous and truly knowledgeable. We did a lot of shopping around prior to choosing Doyle and met with the ADT security team and were not nearly as impressed with the corporate, large scale team. We are happy to trust a local, family owned security system to ensure the safety and well being of our home and family. Without a doubt I would refer them to friends and family! I needed to call customer service in the middle of the night because of a beeping that I could not clear. CS attempted to resolve this matter with no success, it was a part failure in my home system. The Tech Service sent a Technician to fix the issue.Mark T was outstanding. He diagnosed the problem and had this issue resolved in less than an hour. He was efficient, professional and communicated what he had done and gave me some tips on how to make adjustments to my system in the future.Great job Mark T. Thanks for your help.
So impressed with Doyle, had an emergency situation on Tuesday, October 6th - daughter had to use the medical call button, response time was very quick, even provided the responders with the location of the emergency keys. Would recommend this service to anyone who wants to feel secure in their homes.
We have used Doyle since 1990. Moved a couple of times and their sales and installation workers were great setting up the new system. Locksmiths that were referred by them were excellent. The alarm has gone off a couple times accidentally and their monitoring centre called within a minute. They will also take specialized action when we are away for an extended period of time. Very reasonable pricing as well.
I am more than pleased with Doyle. They came in immediately after we had a theft, looked at everything, made recommendations and installed everything quickly. A couple of adjustments had to be made- they also were done quickly, pleasantly and with no charge. They have always called quickly when the alarm has gone off to see if everything is ok. (Weve set it off accidentally several times.) I have felt very comfortable at home with Doyle. Before them I had another security company and was never pleased. Thank you Doyle!
I wrote a formal letter and posted it to Doyle on 4 January 2019 about poor customer service. While they were merging with another company about that time (ADG Security) and were likely rather busy, I am disappointed not to have gotten a response by now -- ten weeks later. Up until that point, ADG had served us well.A year later - 2 January 2020 - Doyle has since resolved my difficulties with a lot of personal attention from an experienced employee, and Ive had very good service over the last several months. Im modifying my rating from three stars to four since they were eager to help, once they became aware of a complicated service situation as a consequence of their merger.

They supported me with an excellent representative who was kind, considerate and helped the process go smoothly. Their representative, Ed Schoepfel Jr, went above and beyond to ensure that my family’s home protection needs were met. He worked to make the process seamless from the first inquiry to installation and he followed up to make sure all our expectations for the system were met. I would highly recommend Doyle Security to family and friends.
Since 1983, my family has used Doyle Alarm Systems to protect us and our home and when I purchased my first home, I called Doyle to set up the alarm system as they are simply the best.Local and very responsive and reliable, as well as fairly priced for a good system that gives one the proper coverage.When I sold my house and got re-married - I had Doyle Alarm installed in my present home.Still very happy, and would highly recommend Doyle Alarm System as the best security company available for both residential and business!!!
I Called almost 2 weeks asking for a quote, and never heard from anyone. I called in and spoke to a gentlemen for over 1/2 hour. When I called again today 5/4/20 I spoke to another gentlemen who said he never found any paperwork on my call. I am sure the 2nd person I spoke to was the same person. When I asked for a price, all he gave me was a monthly figure. I said I wanted the whole price. Oh- OK. He gave me a price without sensors. When I asked him about sensors, he said we will have to come out. I said that is what I had asked the first gentlemen and he said they did not need to come out. Truly disappointed in this company. I will go with SHIELD Alarms. The first gentlemen did not talk well of SHIELD Alarms, but I have known them for years. You are NOT a good company, poor customer service and a disappointment!!!!! Try acting like SHIELD and maybe you might be better. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS COMPANY.When I
I did have a problem with Doyle. I pretty big deal for me. That said, thats life and its how problems get resolved that really matters. Doyles team very keenly listened to my issue, did their due diligence to verify my concern and then, unlike most these days, OWNED IT. Their sincere apology (multiple times) and follow up in communication AND action means they both heard everything I said and understood what was important to me. I highly recommend a company with that kind of corporate culture.
If I could give this company a negative star I would. My mother had paid for the medical alert system for years, about 10 years now. Has never used the system other than a test. When she did use the system the company did not follow the procedure we requested. When I updated the list and my mother pushed her button again ( by the way neither incidents was a true medical emergency) even after they spoke to me, her daughter, caretaker and HCP, they still continued to call EVERYONE at least twice and even leaving messages. It cause chaos is the family and sent everyone in a tizzy over nothing. There was no reason or excuse. I cancelled the service immediaeately and got a different alert company and was told I had to give a 30 day notice of cancellation, later told not true... since then I cant reach anyone to officially cancel or get credit for the months she has paid ahead. I am told something different every time I speak to someone, which isnt very often. Can reach anyone even during business hours, weekdays. DONT DO DOYLE !!! They are great if you dont need their service.
Not only have my wife and I been DOYLE customers, but my mother-in-law has been, too. It was a great comfort to her after my father-in-law died in 2015 to have DOYLE protecting her and her house. You feel safer when youre home and myself, as a husband, feel better when Im not there because I know my wife and child are secure, and if someone tries to break-in, within a matter of minutes DOYLE will call my phone to ask whats going on, why the security system went off. Its also a great relief when we are traveling to know that if anyone tries to enter our house through any door or any window, the alarm will sound and Ill be notified within minutes. Quite simply, DOYLE = Peace of Mind and its customer service has always been top-notch!

2022-04-25What a terrible company to deal with. Contracted Doyle Security Systems to install an alarm panel at a mixed use building. Since contracting with them, it has been nothing but HEADACHES. Scheduling was terrible. The manager who quoted the system was terminated half way through the job. Left off multiple items thus incurring large change orders.As others have mentioned, my alarm panel has been ringing and beeping OFF THE HOOK for 1.5 years. Each time Doyle comes to service the system, they charge me thus incurring expensive service tickets for a brand new system.After refusing to return to fix their system, I spoke with Honeywell - the manufacturer of the panel. Honeywell is investigating their distributor, Doyle. Per Honeywell, there is a warranty on their products and they honor their warranty.Doyles # 1 (Jack) providing some excellent commentary Doyle is not at fault for the malfunctions of your system at 37 Maiden Lane. We installed the system but its not our system, its yours.If you want to work with a company who will bill you excessively, if you want to work with a company who doesnt stand by their installation, if you want to work with a company who refuses to fix their shoddy work, please speak with Doyle for your fire alarm fun experience!If I could, Doyle would deserve a big 0.

2022-01-18Had to get my wireless system updated to 4G. The technician called when he was on his way, as well as emailed. Got here when he said he would. Work quickly and efficiently, asking if I had any questions. Tested the system twice and was gone in under an hour. GREAT SERVICE !

2022-03-29Shangri-la Rentals, Naples is a eco-tourism nature resort and we use Doyle Security both for security cameras and cameras for observing our wildlife and posting their pictures on Facebook. They installed the system and have maintained it for roughly 9 years now in addition to home security systems that we utilized in the past with our time with them being our testimonial. I would recommend their services to anyone in need of professional technicians and staff with the know how to install, maintain and monitor as needed.

2021-08-26Mark Terry, the service rep, was great. Very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Id have given a perfect score save for one issue which is not the reps fault. That is, much like cable providers, Doyle insists on a 3 hour scheduling window. In todays world where everyone has a crowded life, this is inconvenient. It means staying at home for a half day. Not an issue for a retired person like me, but for working families a hassle.

2022-01-04I moved into a new home with LTE connectivity on the security system. After flipping a breaker to install some light fixtures, the security system started beeping incessantly, saying it couldnt connect to the long range radio (which the previous owners were paying for. We opted not to pay for that service). I stopped the beeping by unplugging the AC and backup battery. I called up Doyle after the weekend so they could help me fix it, but after a long hold they told me it was impossible to use the system locally without paying for the LTE connectivity or physically cutting wires (but they didnt know which ones). I would just have inoperative security panels and sensors on my walls indefinitely. I pushed the point saying it was ridiculous that there was no way to fix it, but they insisted. After the phone call, I did some more googling of the issue and found a tutorial to disconnect the LTE from the system using the backdoor programming. I did it and it worked, no thanks to Doyle. Took about 10 minutes between the research and button pushing... you think Doyle customer service would know about something like that.

2021-07-19Doyle has been a top notch security system for my personal residence. Most recently, I had an issue with one of my security cameras getting condensation inside the lens. Mark Terry was the service call provider, he arrived on time, already prepared to quickly replace the camera and walk me through deleting the old one and add the new one. Mark was friendly, worked quickly and efficiently and made sure everything was in working order before he left.

2021-04-15I had a service upgrade needed and the service tech Tyler was excellent. He contacted me prior to leaving his last job which is much appreciated to know approximate arrival time. When he came the service he provided was excellent and he did a complete system check including replacement of 2 CO2 detectors that were due for battery replacement. I was very impressed with Tyler and the customer service he provided.
