As soon as I got there Dr. Johnson greeted me with a warm and welcoming personality. Began my assessment as thoroughly allowing him to give me evidence-based explanations. You can tell Dr. Johnson is passionate about his practice and cares about his patients. Definitely will commute to NYC (30 mins from my house) if I need his services again. Please visit Dr. Johnson for all Endodontics needs!!!
The treatment was for my 8 eight year old daughter. The treatment was concerning to me because of my daughters age and the condition of the tooth. However, Dr. Johnson Explained clearly what the process would be. He is very considerate and professional, and works well with kids. He is straight forward and positive. He gained the confidence of my daughter and myself. The work on the tooth was done with upmost detail.My daughter was awake through the whole process. She had no discomfort. The office and the staff are excellent.Dr. M. Johnson is knowledgeable and loves what he does.
Dr. Johnson is truly a blessing. My 11 year old needed a dental procedure which 2 other dentists were incapable of completing. Dr. Johnson completed the procedure with the utmost of care, reassurance and proficiency. We are thankful to him and the entire City Endodontics staff for their kindness and professionalism.
Today I saw Michael Chen, a specialist at City Endodontics for a consultation about a cracked tooth. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, thorough and patient with all my questions. He helped me figure out a plan for how to address the issue and really put me at ease.I also had a great experience with Dr. Marcus Johnson, Endodontist, for another tooth nightmare. So good at what he does and so caring as well!Its a humane establishment and the staff are wonderful as well.I highly recommend City Endodontics. You’re in good hands with these folks!
This was, by far, the best experience Ive ever had with a dental specialist. I was very, very nervous and Dr Johnson and his staff put me immediately at ease. I called at 10am as an emergency and was scheduled for 2 hours later. I arrived to the office and his assistant Kim was really nice. I was very nervous but she and made me feel comfortable. I met with Dr. Marcus Johnson and explained my problem to him, he explained the process before even starting, he answered all my questions. He started and finished the root canal procedure the same day, the staff and him stood after offices hours to help me. He explained what he was doing step by step, he also asked me if I was okay, every step. I have never felt so comfortable and so cared for by a dentist and staff, . I will definitely recommend him to all my friends and family. I would give Dr. Marcus Johnson and his staff 10 stars.THANK YOU SO MUCH AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL. :)

I just love this dentist! Everyone is wonderful. From the receptionist (Kim) to the exceptional work by Dr. Johnson. It is such a pleasure to be treated at this office. Dr. Johnson is kind, considerate, accommodating and amazing at his craft. Im back to normal after having treatment less than 6 hours ago. He was fast, efficient and most of all professional. When I came here I was very nervous about seeing the dentist, Dr. Johnson REASSURED me that everything would be done with local anesthesia with minimum to no pain, his kindness and professionalism made me want to get all my dental work done here. This was my 4th ever root canal, 3 of which were painful and miserable experiences. This one was almost fun. Dr. Johnson is amazing and calming and my procedure was 100% pain free and very fast. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Dr. Johnson is the best dentist i have ever encounter.His human touch and compassion toward his patients are so genuine and rare at this time and age. Then came the moment of truth, coming face to face with Dr. Marcus Johnson. I was sitting in the chair nervous and not knowing what to expect, and what a breath of fresh air it was. He listened to my concerns, made me feel comfortable and assured that he would work with me. I am so grateful of their service and passion for the work that they do. I had a very pleasant experience getting my root canal by Dr. Marcus Johnson. The staff was nice and helpful in making my appointment and submitting my insurance claim which was a plus. Dr. Johnson explained to me the process which I appreciated. The actual root canal was completely pain free. Additionally once the Novocaine wore off, I never experience pain. I took one motrin when I left the office and did not need to take another one again, I felt no pain later that night or the next. He completely proved me wrong with the stigma of root canals being a painful and awful experience!
Dr. Marcus Johnson is the best endodontist! If you ever need to go to an endodontist to get a root canal he is the person to go to! Not only does he do a GREAT, GREAT, GREAT job on your root canal but he is also very nice and very caring and thats what you would really like in a great professional and very competent Endodontics dentist and that is Dr. Marcus Johnson! You definitely wont make the wrong decision going with him thats for sure! AND he wont do you wrong! Trust me on that!
If youre in need of a root canal, look no further than Dr. Johnson. Firstly, he is kind, generous, and absolute pleasure to interact with. Hes informative and maps out a precise plan of the procedure and the steps towards recovery. Moreover, aside from the inevitable discomfort of the local anesthetic process, I have not experienced even one ounce of discomfort. As someone who has undergone two previous root canals, this experience stands above the others. Both of my previous root canals caused discomfort for about 5-7 days following the procedure, but with Dr. Johnson - there was none. I could not recommend a better guy and a more talented endodontist.
As someone who has always had a fear of the dentist , and has had multiple bad experiences from extractions to root canals - Dr.Johnson made my root canal expierience calm and relaxed, he was very informative during the process and kept me at ease. Quite possibly the best experience I have ever had during a dental appointment. I had a root canal that was relatively pain free, not only is Dr Marcus extremely professional but is a master at what he does, and he made sure during the entire procedure that I was comfortable. I recommend him to anyone who needs a root canal or any other dental procedure that is typically painful. Also, the staff is equally amazing and professional.
This was my first visit with Dr Johnson. He and his staff makes you feel very comfortable. Everything is explained to you exactly how it will happen. When the procedure was done, it did not feel like I had a root canal. I did not have to take one pain pill. I wish he did all procedures because, that would be my dentist. If you ever need a root canal and your afraid of surgery try Dr Johnson , it wont hurt to try. Keep up the great work dr. Johnson.

While I consider myself the most dental phobic person in existence , I was made quite comfortable by the staff and Dr Johnson.My procedure proved to be mostly pain-free. I have to say that Dr Johnson is probably the best dentist I ever met in my life. Even though I was not able to do all the treatment due to the fact that my travel insurance didnt cover it, my first appointment was just perfect.You wont even believe that it is a dentist as the staff make you feel so welcome and so relaxed.If I ever get to move to New York i would for sure return to Dr Johnsons for any dental issue.100% recommended

Saw Dr. Johnson today for a root canal. I had never been to his office before, and I have to say I will not go to any other endodontist in the future. Dr. Johnson was calm, thorough and reassuring. And fast!! Also blew my mind that he had Netflix on a big screen in front of each patient chair. I highly recommend Dr. Johnson!
Dr. Marcus is fantastic! Not only did he flawlessly execute my root canal but he found an affordable route for me to afford the procedure (Root canal cost minus my annual insurance coverage, then he put on a strong temporary to hold until I can use my 2019 annual insurance coverage on my crown.) This was not offered by any Endodontist I had seen prior to him while having this issue. He is also very personable and great to talk to! I wouldnt go anywhere else in the future.

I saw Dr Johnson because my dentist wasnt able to complete a root canal he had started. Dr Johnson and his staff stayed in the office until 9:30PM to complete the procedure. He is the most proficient, thorough, knowledgable, kind, compassionate dentist I have ever seen!

I just got home from my root canal therapy with Dr. Johnson, and my faith has been restored. From the moment I walked in the door, I received ELITE customer service. The lobby was empty - a far cry from the last sardine-can of a molar mill I went to. I was greeted by Kim, who was extremely pleasant and offered me a bottle of water. Dr. Johnson, greeted me briefly after and was very hospitable. After filling out the usual paperwork, I was escorted to the operating room. I was provided with wireless headphones and given my choice of Netflix to watch during the procedure. Dr. Johnson, sat with me and explained the procedure in detail. He outlined everything and made sure I was familiar and comfortable with billing. Before we started the procedure, I was offered vitamin E oil to prevent my lips from drying out (unheard of). After the therapy, I was offered a warm towel to soothe my face. Before I left, Dr. Johnson explained post-operative care and provided me with Motrin. Kim even went to the extent of booking my next appointment at another office.All-in-all, I hope I never have to get another root canal, but if I do, Ill know exactly where Im heading. Id give 6-stars if I could! Thanks City Endodontics!
Dr. Johnson is my dentists (whos also my mother) recommended endodontist. He really loves his job, as he spent 3 hours with no breaks (not even lunch) to perform a root canal on me. It hurt like hell, but that was due to the nature of my teeth. Really nice crew working with him and an added bonus of a Netflix subscription for patients who like to be distracted.
5 Stars Hands DownDr. Marcus and his staff Kim and Yan made my experience of getting a root canal so amazing that when it was all said and done I was truly sad to know that I would not be coming back again. I had to give them a huge hug.Here is the reasons I recommend them:1. Pain free: I had to fix an infected root canal that I had done 10 years ago, and had to come in a few weeks later to complete the procedure. I was extremely nervous but after my first injection not hurting I felt I could trust Dr. Marcus to keep me pain free, and I was right.2. Comfort: free netflix, they made me laugh alot and were extremely patient with mt questions, phone calls, enquiries, and having to reschedule3. Location is near Grand Central Station4. Knowledgeable and provided guidance- always got a follow up call and always received a call back5. Kind- They treat others how they would expect to be treated, and also considered some financial factors to assist, which was not something many people doThank you to the staff!

The most relaxed I have ever been in a dentists chair, and that includes cleanings! And this was a one and a half hour root canal! Dr. Johnson makes an extra effort to ensure that the patient is comfortable. I felt no pain, not even the novocaine needle!

Just left the office this am. Very professional environment especially with me acting like the biggest baby. Didnt feel a thing from beginning to end. 2022-01-27Dr. Marcus is amazing. I gave him a hard time because my anxieties were getting the best of me, but he was so calm and nice. His sense of humor is quick and generous. He is dedicated to educating the patient and spent time taking photos and showing me exactly what was happening in my teeth, answering my thousand questions, and generally getting me comfortable with next steps. He is a true professional, but also a kind soul. Thank you, Dr. Marcus for indulging my sarcasm and jokes, but taking the time and spending the energy to show what true patient care looks like. And thank you to the staff at City Endo for the incredible customer service, helping navigate insurance, and keeping the office and exam rooms so clean and spotless. The health and safety of everyone was clearly a priority and deeply appreciated.

2022-08-20This is my open love letter to Dr Johnson and the staff at City Endodontics. It is impossible to say enough good things about the staff. I was in pain and needed a root canal, I had visited 3 different endodontists who had refused to do my root canal because they didnt have a microscope or it was too complicated. Dr Johnson took some X-rays and said it would be no problem. He made me feel at ease from the start. It took a bit of time but Dr Johnson kept checking on me and reassuring me that everything was going great. He is so kind and professional that he makes you feel at ease. Keep doing what you do. Honestly, I forgot I was there for a root canal and left feeling rejuvenated and inspired by his passion for his work.My dentist referred me to Dr. Johnson to evaluate the integrity of a root canal I had performed a few years ago at a former dentist’s office. You can imagine my frustration upon learning that the root canal needed retreatment, but after my initial visit to Dr. Johnson, I immediately knew I was in good hands. His professionalism, expertise, precision, kindness, positive outlook, and dedication to putting his patients and community first are impossible to miss.He explained everything clearly and answered all of my questions transparently. I was most surprised by how seamless, efficient, and painless the procedure was. He continually checked in to make sure I was comfortable. And, there was absolutely no discomfort during or after the operation.I highly recommend Dr. Johnson if you’re in need of a first-class endodontist in NYC! 2019-06-18I am a physician and I work in Brooklyn, and am happy to commute all the way to Dr.Johnson’s office for treatment. If you want to have the best dental care in the city this is THE place. I actually slept during my root canal treatments since it was painless and quite. Dr.Johnson is very professional and courteous and he will walk you through every step. His staff are absolutely amazing and Kim in the front desk is so welcoming and polite.I do trust Dr.Johnson with my care and highly recommend him to anyone who seek dental care.I honestly wish I found this office earlier rather than wasting my time with other dentists, Dr.Johnson’s treatment is the best dental care I ever had. Apart from medicine he even remembered that I am about to have a baby which says a lot about how nice and caring he is.Thank you

2019-08-13Dr. Johnson and his team are just amazing! The receptionist Kim had a very warm welcoming presence and made me feel comfortable immediately. Lilly was very friendly and offered me water right away. I was so nervous about having work done and dreaded the thought of possibly having a root canal. Dr Johnson was very patience and answered all the questions/concerns I had. He did such an incredible job making me feel comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone.

2018-09-19From the moment i walked through the door, i received outstanding customer service. Kim was extremely friendly and welcoming! I waited no longer then a couple minutes before being seated. From the front desk to the chair his staff makes you feel at home! Our dental assistant was extremely nice, offering us a beverage while we waited to see Dr.Johnson. My visit was extremely thorough and honest. Dr.Marcus is extremely laid back, he made us feel super comfortable. This was my first time visiting an Endodontics practice and i would highly recommend him to everyone i know. Thank you Dr.Johnson for taking really good care of my brother!!!! You and your staff are amazing !

2020-10-19Dr Johnson is very dedicated and committed to his practice.. He was very careful in evaluating but showed great confidence when explained the case to me. Although I only have seen him one time (root canal is not a routine event), I have been impressed by his professional ethics and his commitment to provide the best service in his specialty area. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing his help.

2019-05-06I went to Dr Johnson because my regular dentist had issues with my root canal and I was recommended to see him. When I met with Dr Johnson he was extremely pleasant and professional explain the process along the way and was very though also he has a cool demeanor not stiff and rigid like sone doctors I have encountered. After all of the dental work I did not have any pain after all the numbness went away which was great for me. He office staff was so nice and accommodating they made you feel comfortable helping to ease the anxiety of the dental work to come. In all I would definitely recommend his services and while I hope I do not have any serious issues that caused me to go there, I would definitely go back to get treatment from Dr Johnson.
