Better than others! I had a main drain that backs up multiple times and floods my tenants items in the basement. I called a local plumber (to remain nameless) and they claimed it was roots and need to snake the line yearly.After the third snaking and third flooding I called Drain-Away. They didnt snake the line and left, they investigated what the root cause was (no pun intended), it wasnt roots but grease and other items that kept plugging up the drain. They cleaned it out and drains like a dream.Thank you Drain-Away
We had a couple plumbers come that didnt know how to fix an issue we were having. Drain away knew exactly what to do and found our trap. They fixed the issue and we definitely recommend them.
I worked for this company, i was hired by the owner of this companys son, jonathan blanchard. All was fine, they were paying me 10 an hour. I came to work overnights pumping grease traps, and i worked most days with jon in his company dynamic heritage. These so called partners never paid me after 2 months of me working there, i didnt see a cent. 110 hours i had on the clock using their tsheets clock in system. I didnt see a cent of it. Then when i started asking about my money, he told me i didnt have a job anymore and that dynamic heritage was going under. He screwed over more clients than ive even worked for. He cob jobbed whatever he could to save money. And his dad, who apperantly was his business partner, who happens to run drain away, told me to go f**k myself when i called him asking for jon and the 110 hours he never paid me for, hung up on me, and threatened to file harrassement charges... great company right?? Great bosses... they dont give a f**k for costumers nor employees, im still shocked his drain away company is still on the books considering how bad jon screvved me over, i wouldnt be surprised if every one of those employees is seeig pay shortages and seeing hours stolen from them. Good luck wih them, if you do hire them, out of sheer necesity, watch everything they do. Coming from someone with nothing but home renovations as experience.. i could do better work with a 10 year old holding the other end of the board. If you value your work, and the money you make from your job, dont waste it on these people. Youll be calling them back for more work on what they just fixed.

You do want to be there about 3 hours early. Long lines but they move fairly fast. The staff is friendly and accommodating as much as possible. Good airport.

2022-06-27I scheduled an appointment yesterday over the phone with Lori. She asked if my property was commercial and i said No, its residential. She then asked if i would be there and i replied that my tenant would be there. Fast forward today, her technician was outside my property and i told him the tenant would come down to open the door. 2 minutes later, i get a call from Lori yelling at me over the phone that she thought i lived there. While i was explaining to her calmly that at no point during the initial conversation did i ever say that, she got even angrier and said that im calling her a liar. Then i said, i think there has been a misunderstanding, please calm down and tell me what you need from me. She then hung up. Dont use Drain away. Go with Roto rooter or any other plumbing company.

2021-11-28We had an emergency call due to a clog that was causing a leaking toilet. They arrived within a couple hours, and went the extra mile to move items in the garage that were blocking the clean-out. They were friendly, professional, charged less than expected for an emergency visit, and even moved the items in the garage back into place. They also took the time to explain some things to do to prevent future issues. I would definitely recommend if you are in need.

I own a commercial property and he was responsive and diligent in clearing the main drain out 125 feet to the town sewer.I’ve been in the trades over 25 years and it’s great to meet people who take pride in their work. 2021-03-08I believed I had a clog in my main pipe, due to a puddle in my basement. The worker arrived, correctly analyzed the problem and discovered a leak in my kitchen sink pipe that connects to the main. He was very friendly and helpful. But the company charged $105 as a service fee for him being at my house for less than 10 minutes. He told me people make this mistake all the time, they think were plumbers. Were not. We dont know anything more than you, we just do drains. I do not mind a friendly person determining that his service is not needed and I dont mind paying a reasonable fee. But $105?! He assured me that it could be worse: they charge $200 to snake out a drain, so I guess I should be glad he was honest that I wouldnt need that. Honestly, I would have been fine with paying $200 to have my problem fixed, but not $105 (a third of my weekly salary) to tell me they couldnt do anything. He tried calling the main office to see if they could send a master plumber who owns the business, but apparently they could not, so he tried referring me to another plumbing company - who said they were too busy to get to me this week. He also assured me I could probably fix the problem myself. I guess thats encouraging. I would have felt $50 or less was worth it for him arriving and looking at the situation (I live in Schenectady, not the middle of nowhere), but I was pretty unhappy to be charged such a steep service fee for no actual service.

2017-01-31I had called Drain Away at 10am this morning and they turned up at my house the same day at 8pm. I talked them through my problem and everything I had tried and they listened without judgement. They ran a 60ft snake through my pipes which seemed to fix the issue. I appreciated the fact that the guy didnt try to leave as soon possible, but was determined that we try a bunch of tests to make sure we had fixed the issue. Only when he and I were satisfied we decided to call it day. Nice guy and very reasonably priced. I tend to get contractors that balloon the price based on where I live and the house I live in, so I really appreciate a fair price for fair work.

2017-07-25I was reviewed to Drain-Away by another top notch company M-B Heating and Cooling. My call was immediately answered and a tech was at my apartment house when they said he would be. He explained his process for finding the problem and diligently assessed the situation and cleared the clog. I would absolutely recommend their services.
