Excellent beer selection including one the best double IPAs Ive had to date. Pub food thats a step or two up from traditional expectations with a few common offerings such as wings. One downside: The stinginess on the carrots and celery was laughable. (Yes....the pic is exactly how it was served). At least the lonely vegetables were craftly placed at a creative angle.
I love love this place. Cozy, welcoming awesome staff. The menu is bomb Im not even sure how they make the specials more special BUT they do. Draught is home away from home, draft list is amazing if you dint like beer honey the cocktails speak for themselves. Homey and I mean authentic Mexican cuisine, with weekly specials that spin away from traditionalism and give food/cocktails a twist you never expected.
Our fave bar in town! I come here every time I’m in the area. They have a great selection of beer and are extremely helpful in offering recommendations and tastes so you love what you order. I really love the aesthetic and vibe of this spot. It used to be an alleyway, which just blows my mind! The bartenders are always great, thanks for all the awesome conversations and letting us stay as long as possible to keep drinking great beer. Will definitely be back, over and over again!
Look no further, head over to Draught Industries ASAP for great vibes, drinks, and people. Gregg and the crew at Draught Industries are the absolute best. They were able to accommodate our wedding welcome drinks and after party, which everyone had a blast at. They were super friendly, accommodating, and reliable. Draught has a special place in our hearts with memories we will cherish. Cheers!
Great beer, wacky people, good food made an overall wonderful experience. This place is more than a little different, and a little disorienting walking in for the first time- It feels like an alley way. An alley way (long, narrow seating area) with great beer, wacky people, and good food. No complaints!PS- This is the kind of place run by independent, real beer enthusiasts. Dont go for the world-class service, go for the good beer and gastropub food!
Hands down my favorite place in town. If you’re into craft beer they always have amazing and often times exclusive brews on tap. Staff is always warm and friendly. If that weren’t enough the food is absolutely amazing. Everything from that kitchen is magic. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!
Great food, music, and service (Anna). My only suggestion is if you have any preferences or dislikes in your tacos that you ask as to all the ingredients, ex. my al pastor taco listed cilantro (which I like), while my sons chicken taco did not list cilantro (which he hates). His chicken tacos came with cilantro which he had to try and pick out. Otherwise - perfect.
Always like going to Draught. They always have tons of never heard of before beer on tap. The food is really good but we didnt eat there the last time we went there. The bartenders are nice and know what they are talking about. The owner is a nice guy and is really passionate about his establishment and beer and Beacon.
We went to Beacon as tourists, had walked past this place multiple times while walking up and down Main Street, exploring the city. The restaurant looked pretty good with a lot of crowd, so we decided we would definitely try a beer from here. However we were a little disappointed by our experience. When we first got there, the server told us we can sit inside at the long table, as there was no table available outside. A little while later he again came to us and told us to sit at the end of the table as we were only 2 people and they needed more space for a larger group that came a little while after us, so that we can maintain distance, which is understandable (no complaints there). The server then came with a bunch of menus and gave them to the group that came after us, while completely ignoring us. The other group got their drinks and all and we were still without a menu, at which point I felt like, are we invisible to them? A little while after that, the same server, while passing us to go outside, asked us if someone took our order. I told him that no one has even given us a menu yet. He went and got us a menu. Then again the wait game started. No one came to take our orders and finally I walked up to the bar to order our beers. The lady server at the bar seemed nice and brought our beers to us, but the beer was completely flat. We ordered a plate of chicken quasedillas, which was very good, happy with that, but we went in there because we thought they have good draft beers. We didnt order another beer after that because of the whole experience with the first one.I just wanna say that I understand that it is a difficult time for the food and restaurant industry and that they might be short staffed, and I am not the kind of person who looks for a reason to post bad reviews online. But the fact that we were waiting for a server to even provide us with a menu while the group right next to us, who came after us had already gotten their drinks, that counts as a very bad experience to me.One suggestion I would like to give is that the restaurant should have QR codes printed and pasted at various places on the table so that such thing can be avoided.
I visited Draught Industries tonight, 12/26.The beer list was solid. I had some beers from a brewery that I’ve never tried before (Relic Brewery), which were awesome. I did not have any food, so I can’t speak to that.I asked the bartender, “what’s the best dark beer you have on tap?” He couldn’t think of a single one, and just shoved a beer menu at me, not offering any input. There’s a list of the beers on the wall. I didn’t need to see a menu, I just wanted advice/his opinion. Most bartenders are knowledgeable about the beer they serve. As someone who’s worked in the food and beverage industry for 7 years, I just feel like you should be able to describe products that your restaurant/bar sells.Anyway, I ended up loving the beer I chose. To be honest, I would have given this place a 4 or 5 star rating, but I read some of the comments that the owner made towards people leaving negative reviews, and it left a super bad taste in my mouth. For that reason, and that reason alone, I probably won’t return.
The place has been under new ownership for a week or so. I was never here before but its a really cozy place with great service, great atmosphere, and most importantly, great BEER!Im not a beer aficionado, i like miller lite. I have friends that love this stuff so I come across places like this from time to time. The bartender didnt sneer at me when i was pointed out as the one in the group that likes mainstream beer. He listened to what i liked and all 3 of the beers he poured were delicious. That hasnt happened to me in other places like this. They were in the process of installing a couple of TVs that hadnt been there before and although the menu is modest it looks like some nice options to go along with the beer. They have some wine as well with liquor coming soon. Im looking forward to coming back.
Good food and beer selection, but the service is really slow. We waited about an hour for our food. Also, the bartenders can be a bit rude. When my friend and I went up to the bar to order food and told him we were on separate tabs that were already open, he rolled his eyes. I get that it was crowded, but still! Also my friend ordered the red wine and they served her a white wine. When she said something, the bartender tried to blame it on her after she had to repeat the order multiple times. However, the food and beer were really good! If you don’t mind hanging out at the same place for a long time and can deal with rudeness, then this place might be for you!
By far the best bar in the Hudson valley. The have an amazing selection of beers its almost not believable and the food is all top notch designed by a high class chef. You wont have a bad drink or meal here. Still reading this? You should of left already and be there drinking. Cheers🍻
I understand why the other reviewers mentions that the bartender can be stand-offish sometimes, but hes a nice guy and hes willing to talk beer if youre friendly and dont sound like too much like an amateur. You can meet some weirdos in this place, but honestly I like that kind of vibe, so it doesnt bother me. Beer list is good, and I had some options I hadnt tried before (even though I live in Brooklyn where a lot of the selections come from). You may like it you may not, but you should definitely come check it out!
Stopped in Saturday night for the first time. Excellent selection of beer on tap. We stopped by Beacon Pantry first a ordered a cheese plate to take. Sat at the bar enjoying the wonderful service and our door and beer. If you are in Beacon this should be on your list. They have 2 excellent wines on tap too.
The food here was absolutely dynamite. We got all Mexican food (tacos, quesadilla, street corn) and it was better than most if not all Mexican restaurants I’ve eaten in. Just amazing tasting food with the perfect level of heat. Everything was so good but the street corn especially was out of this world. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
Really expensive beer, no doubt about it. How a draft beer ended up at $9 I have no idea. BUT they have some nice ones here that you may not find in most serious tap rooms. They also have a very well designed tap system that keeps everything optimal at all times, custom made for the place, so the beer is perfectTight space but great if only a few people are in there. Kind of feels like a secret place. Still, its hard to enjoy paying $9 for a beer. They have some decent bar food, too.
Went into this pub with only one customer in it to order beers with our family to have with our fresh glazed over donuts and were told that we couldn’t have our donuts there and that it was disrespectful! Ha! He had no customers and handled the situation very poorly! We have no desire to go back and even try the place. Be a champion dude and build relationships! Don’t alienate future customers!!!
Visited this place on an evening in July 2018 and it was an awful experience. Me and two friends were visiting the area from Kalamazoo, Michigan, and naturally got excited when we saw a bar specializing in craft beer. The extent of our time in the bar was as follows: we walk into the bar, the door fails to close behind us and the bartender tells my friend to close the door. My friend gladly complies. We walk up to the bar, where said bartender asks for our IDs, so we all take out our (very much legitimate) Michigan drivers licenses. Immediately, he starts aggressively quizzing one of my friends asking him what the zip code on his license is. My friend hadnt lived at the college address on his license for 4+ years, so he didnt remember completely. The bartender refused to serve him. He was so rude and snarky about it. We were all kind of shocked and immediately left. For the record, the three of us were between the ages of 26 and 28, but apparently our out-of-state IDs were not good enough to pass muster here. Its a shame, too, because we love craft beer and all three of us are excellent tippers.
Ive visited once, and will definitely return soon! The first time I went in, I had three interesting and delicious brews (after sampling a total of I think 7), and struck up great conversations with a bunch of great people, including the bartenders.I recommend draught, well worth checking out!
They have a very cute atmosphere and great beer. However they seem like they are letting that place go. They told us they were out of pads to write orders down and that the chef was not there yet we ordered food! Who was making our food? They said “an assistant of the chef who knows how to most of the food items”. My wife & I both been in the restaurant industry for many years and in our opinion it was just not professional to tell your patrons these things. Also, they were out of both beer items and food items as well. They just need to get their act together because we will not dine there again.
I wish I could keep this place a secrert all to my self.. But sharing is caring i suppose.. Well this is in my top 10 Craft Beer Bars in the U.S. - Constantly rotating taps of mostly NY craft beers and a few other Gems from around the Right Coast. If your looking for Craft beer in the Hudson Valley.. This is the spot hands down...
**Update**- The owner promptly reached out via Yelp (I posted on both at the same time) and apologized for the below experience as well as offered a round on the house, pleased with both the outreach and timely responseTo be fair, the food here is good, the beer selection is great, and the prices arent bad. Ive been going here for a few yrs with my friends and up until now, no complaints. However, the past few times my friend and I have tried grabbing a drink around 12 or 1am on Friday/Saturday night and the owner has turned us away or been outright unfriendly in some cases. I think his name is John. Given hes been friendly in the past and even acknowledged us as frequent patrons who never cause trouble and arent roudy, this treatment the past few times weve stopped by when hes working only rubs me the wrong way.If we came by after last call? No problem. If its been a slow night and business has been bad so youre closing early? No problem. The problem is when youre sitting outside your own bar in a chair reading a book on a Saturday night, and we approach asking in a polite and non-pushy way if youre still open for just one round, and you respond coldly with just a no, not even looking at us, and then ignore us when we reply with no problem, thanks and have a good night, I dont really feel any motivation to come back again. John, all you had to say is Sorry, were done for the night but thanks for stopping by and hopefully see you next time and actually look at us while talking to us. Thatd make me want to come back.It also didnt help that we passed on the street 15 minutes later and he was back behind the bar serving two customers after telling us we couldnt have a round. We were sober, not acting disruptive or stupid, and there was no good reason to turn us away in that manner, especially given our past patronage. Very disappointed.
I have been here several times to enjoy their fine selection of top of line craft beers....the atmosphere of the warm brick and cozy wood floors bring you back to an era long gone. The tap system is one of a few in the entire world. Put this on your list of must stop when you come to town!
Draught Industries is incredible!! We decided to book and plan a private event with them for our Friday night rehearsal dinner for our wedding weekend, and we couldnt have made a better decision. Bobby (the owner) and his staff were so great to work with -- flexible, professional and responsive, and went above and beyond to make our dream rehearsal dinner a reality! We wanted a low-key, fun and upbeat rehearsal dinner with a mix and mingle type format, and Draught delivered. The format of the bar was perfect for our drinks and food/happy hour vibe for around 50 guests, and Bobby and his team planned an open bar with an amazing selection of local beers, prosecco and cider. It was perfect!! Not to mention the food was fantastic as well -- so many of our guests gave us compliments on how surprised they were at the deliciousness of the food!! It definitely goes way above your standard bar food and is absolutely incredible. The vibe and service itself was also fantastic -- all of the staff were so great and helpful the entire night, and everyones drinks and plates were always full. It was amazing!! The bar itself also has a really cool atmosphere - cool, fun music, lighting and decorations. We would highly highly recommend Draught for any event you are looking to plan!!!
Horrible experience, ordered drinks outside and was yelled at for eating a bag of chips (not bought from them) They also charged you $10 for chips (because NYS makes them) but dont tell you until you receive bill.Dont waste your time or money, plenty of other places in Beacon
Stopped in drought after walking through this cool town in beacon. As we were looking at other menus we liked this one the best so we had lunch there. The food was amazing, we enjoyed everything we ate and loved the atmosphere. We will deffenetly be back and highly recommend going there.
The beer selection is amazing here. Didnt try the appetizers but people next to us did and they looked delicious. Seating inside was limited but had enough table space to sit w a family. Seems more like a place for people without kids, but a very friendly and laid-back vibe
BOO. If I could give zero stars? I would. 2 out of 3 of the beers we ordered were not cold enough. HOT IPA? Blech. Also, we ordered poppers which took an HOUR to arrive. Are you kidding me?! There were empty seats, they werent slammed. Poppers were on the check though...?!? Totally insulting. No greeting after sitting at the bar for a solid 10 mins, kitchen guy kept pounding up the stairs in a dead panic, hot beer... Ugh. Amateurs.
This was by far the best place I have ate in this are . The Boar tacos were amazing , the turkey meatballs , and the service was amazing!!!! I wished a lived here so I could make this a local place for me ! Live music and a great vibe!!!!Ps the empanadas !!! Go for it !!!
I went to a comedy show there and saw the last Comic in the show and the guy was great he was funny as a professional seasoned comedian I even heckled him a bit and he handled it like a pro this guy was maybe in his late twenties if that and he was really funny he had the whole crowds attention John Manager Julia the bartender very nice people I will definitely be back there and tell my friends thank you.

2018-10-23Like the atmosphere and the beer list. Was hoping for more local beers but they do have plenty to choose from. Had some of the tacos which were yummy. Only complaint is the beer seemed expensive but relatively similar pricing to other restaurants/bars in the area.

2021-11-22We booked Draught Industries for our rehearsal dinner! It was wonderful being able to rent out the whole bar and keep it private for our bridal party and family. It was really nice that it wasnt a traditional “sit down” type of setting and everyone was able to mingle easily. We had an open bar and food deal for a great price! The staff made sure to keep everyone happy by bringing out appetizers quickly and making sure everyone had their drinks. The food was delicious! We were even in charge of the music. Great location for any type of event!

2019-06-22You would think that you go here for the great beer selection and the food would be standard bar fare. And you would be wrong. The food here was just as amazing as the beers we tried! The food selection might be short, but it is definitely not short on flavor. Each menu item appears to be the chefs take on classic items, and they all deliver. We had spinach dip, the fries, and two different flatbreads and they all were delicious. I will look for reasons to come back to Beacon and visit this place. Hell, I may grab some friends and make a special trip!
