The most peaceful garden with the friendliest members and visitors. Full of healthy nature and wild life. Excellent to bring the family to have a great time with nature. Most reach out for a visit during Covid for available hours. Open most good weather weekends.

West Farms lil gem. Reminds me of Bronx Botanical Gardens. Visited with my teen and she loved the calm and scenery.

We recently brought our students to Drew Gardens to volunteer. What a beautiful space in the Bronx! Tucked between bus stops and highways, you forget that youre in a bustling city and are just surrounded by art, community gardens, a clear river and a sense of enduring community. Mario and Julio are friendly, helpful and gave our students a wonderful sense of belonging and purpose. What an important feature for our students to know is just down the block from their school, a place they can retreat for peace and quiet, a place to volunteer and belong... a place they all need and deserve in the chaos that is 2020. Thank you

Drew Gardens is a great community space where you can enjoy nature! As soon as you entered through its doors, it feels like leave the concrete jungle behind you and entered into secret garden surrounded by so much nature, animal sounds, and the sound of the Bronx River.I love Drew Gardens so much I had my babyshower here! It is the perfect space for outdoor events. The members of Drew Gardens are just as amazing! Super friendly and welcoming!!

This garden is filled with so much love and positivity. It is a fantastic place to learn about the environment and gardening from people who are passionate about caring for the earth. They have fantastic community events for kids and adults alike. Drew gardens is open to the public at certain times throughout the year, and they have a schedule posted outside of the garden on their community bulletin board. During the fall they had a photobooth set up where the public could walk in and take cute fall themed photos. They also have craft events for children and art events for adults as well. On Saturdays when the weather is warmer they have yoga classes taught by Mario, who is a legit yoga instructor. He and his twin brother Julio are also the ones who manage and maintain the garden, and they do such a fantastic job of it. During the summer, they have kayaking events, where they will kayak along the Bronx River. If you yourself are interested in gardening, you can speak to Julio or Mario and get your very own box in the garden! Theres a yearly membership fee, but you get to visit the space and grow all the produce you want in your space.Drew Gardens is a fantastic garden that has given me the opportunity to grow my own vegetables and produce, something that Ive wanted for so long and I now have the privilege to do and learn about.

Drew Gardens is by far the most beautiful community garden in the Bronx. Next to the Bronx River, this hidden gem is cared for by volunteers, led by the amazing Mario and Julio! They host an array of workshops and events, and welcome every one to come in for an escape from the every day hustle and bustle of City life.Thank you for all you do!
