Showed up and was turned away due to an Insurance mistake that was not on my end. Money hungry and unprofessional. I could of been informed of the situation before scheduled a 2nd emergency appointment due to faulty fillings they placed in my mouth from an extraction. Dental Malpractice at its finest.
I’ve been going to doctor K since 2016, all members of staff are lovely and have such nice chair side manners, reception & hygienists are friendly, efficient and a pleasure to deal with, Dr.K is warm and friendly. Parking is on site, offices are clean and bright, and operational hours are very accommodating.
Another great cleaning and check up. I so appreciate Dr. K and her staff. Always a very good cleaning and the checking in and out is smooth and well done. Didnt hurt I didnt have any cavities. Youre one of the best dental providers I ever went to. Thanks for keeping me and my teeth healthy.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr K.I originally came to Dr K a few years ago as a walk in emergency patient. My previous (now former dentist) botched a filling causing the tooth to die and a massive infection to take hold in the surrounding gums and teeth.Dr K has been amazing at helping me recovery from that incident.Throughout my time as a patient Dr K (and her entire staff) have been amazingly helpful, friendly and extremely flexible.I highly recommend Dr K to everyone who needs a dentist.

If you are a member of this group-she is undoubtedly the dental care giver for you! Founded upon my past experiences, many dentists take unnecessary films so as to increase their revenue. Dr. K is not a member of this class of dentistry. She performed only the necessary diagnostic imaging in order to create a dental treatment plan. She carefully & thoughtfully in conjunction with my expressed outcome desires explained the plan. All my questions were answered with simple everyday language. She meets her patients where they are on their dental journey with truth & empathy. While paying my bill, I encountered the same level of kind compassion expressed by Dr. K during my interactions with her. While paying my bill, I was given the pleasure of meeting an encouraging soul at the reception desk. This soul was Dr. Ks husband! He was on duty today as the receptionist. He kindly extended gracious concern for my budgetary constraints. This expression was most appreciated. I now look forward to future dental appointments. I had a surface filling somewhere else 2 days ago, since Monday night I’ve known something was wrong as I couldn’t eat on the one side and it felt sticky when I bit down. I came here based on good reviews and I was let down. I was told just use senseodine toothpaste and a night guard and if it still hurts in a week come back and you will probably need to see an endosontist. Well I left in a panic and went to work a mess…. I went to someone else I Troy and they said my bite was off and the filling was to think and that office fixed it. All I was provided with here was a panic attack, I won’t be going back bc I was basically written off
Dr K and her staff are great. Only been to her twice after going to my previous dentist for 15 years. She is affordable, accepts my Dental Savings Plan and does really good work. Her hygienist is the best. First time I felt no discomfort.

Called due to tooth/gum pain and knowing I needed some fillings - they got me in the next day! The hygienist was super nice and efficient in cleaning. Sometimes you get one that goes too hard, but she was gentle while still doing a thorough job. Dr. K was also very nice and explained my xrays and next steps. No pressure to do any elective treatments, no shaming for needing fillings - definitely better than what Id experienced previously! My appointment was quick, and the work I need done was scheduled within the next couple weeks.
I’m actually afraid to visit Dental care as most of them 😉 But trust me this place is something you count on it and offers great Service with warm reception.

Dr. K and her staff are amazing! I had avoided the dentist for YEARS out of anxiety, so I had quite a few issues that needed to be addressed... we always went at my pace and they went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable. Even when getting a crown— something I never would have thought I could face— Dr. K and the hygienist kept me comfortable and pain free. Highly recommended for folks with a fear of the dentist!

What great people! Ive taken good care of my teeth, but dont have a regular dentist. I started having severe tooth pain yesterday evening and had no idea what to do about it. I Google searched emergency dentist near me and to my great fortune found these amazing people. They opened up first thing this morning (Sunday). They alleviated all my stress & fear, made me feel comfortable & took excellent care of me! I have my new regular Dentist!!!! Go see them!!!!

Dr. K is kind and caring as well as professional. She assesses the situation and thoroughly explains it with patience. She never rushes me and willingly answers my questions, providing any additional information I request. She treats me, taking into account my individual needs such as pain tolerance and anxiety level, which in my opinion is as important as the actual treatment. I saw her this morning for an emergency appointment and was pleased with her response, explanation and treatment plan. I left satisfied.
Ive been a patient of Dr. K for 4 years now and could not be happier with every aspect of my experience there. Today, for example, I walked in a bit early after filling out their super convenient patient info update form online an hour earlier, and the hygienist almost immediately said she was ready for me. Eunice was very friendly and professional and fast. Dr. K checked me out briefly, and I was on my way. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
The receptionist is very rude. She called my boyfriend stating that they received an email to have his X-rays sent over for an extraction that was causing excruciating pain and she refused to send it over anything unless a payment was made on the account (owed $290). I personally had spoke to Dr. K 2 days prior to where she released my boyfriends balance to me and I told her it would be taken care of within the next couple of days no problem. The receptionist refused to answer any questions that my boyfriend had as he was trying to get clarification of what exactly was going on and why they were holding his X-rays for ransom. The receptionist hung up the phone on him and when I called she refused to speak with me hanging up on me as well. My family and I will find a new dentist this practice is very unprofessional and rude.
Ive been seeing Dr. K and her staff for about two years. Dr. K is hands down the THE BEST dentist I have ever been to. I went to her after receiving a poor root canal and cap from another dentist-not only did she fix my root canal but we discussed a plan for getting my dental health back on track. Her bedside manner is lovely, she explains everything, and she takes great care of her patients and pride in her work. Her staff is also wonderful-the dental hygienists are thorough and knowledgeable and Janelle at the front desk is always readily available and always calls to remind me of my appointments.Go to Dr. K, you wont be disappointed!
Dr. K is an exceptionally highly trained professional. Her conservative approach and willingness to go the extra mile to save a tooth or do the least invasive procedure is a testament to her skills and character. She is very thoughtful and gentle and is clearly patient focused. She is the best!

This is by far the worst dentist I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I came to this dentist because of the excellent care I received from Dr Banner when he was still in practice. I had some general dental care needs and a chipped front tooth that I needed repaired. The first time I came she did such a terrible job that the tooth chipped again soon after her repair. She clearly was unhappy to have to address her poor work and was very hostile to me. As a poc and a professional I was shocked how rude she was. She even dropped her instruments on my chest! I was livid when I left and felt like I completely wasted my time as her repair was so unaesthetically pleasing that I had to find another dentist and absorb the cost myself. I luckily found an excellent dentist who did such an amazing job repairing my front tooth. It is surprising to me that I see a number of positive reviews on here because my experience was abysmal.
I travel an hour and a half to Dr. K’s office. The staff is so friendly and Dr. K is extremely confident, professional and reassuring. I am not a fan of going to the dentist, but they make it very comfortable. I was impressed with all the precautions they have taken due to Covid.

Dr. K is arguably the best dentist Ive ever experienced. I came to her practice after an extremely traumatic dental experience at another Capital Region dentist. Ive had dental anxiety for years, and my last experience made it worse.Dr. K was not only patient, compassionate, and empathetic, but she truly worked with me to overcome my fear. I had a deep cavity filled, and felt less pain and more comfort than I have in years. She was very calming, reassuring, and invested in my healthcare.She really took the time to address why I felt anxiety, and she did everything in her power to ensure I was numbed properly. She took breaks whenever I needed, went slow, and assessed how I was feeling frequently.If you have dental anxiety, or are looking for an overall good dentist, I could not recommend a better dentist. She truly is a hidden gem and I am so grateful to have found her.
This is a great Dental Office! Staff are soooo nice and personable. Dr. K is easy to talk to and is always available for emergencies. I really like Dr. K. Shes great, made fixing my cavities after not seeing a dentist for over 6 years painless. However, her staff could use some improving on customer service skills. The older dental hygienist is SO rough and slow when cleaning your teeth. Over 24 hours later my teeth still hurt from her stabbing at my gums and using so much pressure, it seems as though she got her tool stuck in between my teeth many times.
Dr K is the finest dentist I have ever been to . She is efficient ,gentle and very compassionate. They gave me various tx plan options . Explained the pros and cons of all treatment plans .Not push the most expensive option !!I explained my situation and her receptionist gave me payment plan options and helped through the whole way . Her hygienists are equally gentle and thorough .Great staff !!!
Dr. K is hands down the best dentist around here. She is gentle and empathetic. She makes dental visits stress free, even for someone with bad teeth. I felt minimal pain during and after a root canal. She also always tries to save your teeth and avoid root canals whenever possible. She is affordable and is not out to push for unneeded treatment for extra money.
Had great experience with my root canal,filling, cleaning and getting the chipped tooth fixed.Dr.K was just wonderful, gentle and patiently explaining everything. She came in for emergency when nobody wanted to see me. I started going there for regular cleaning too. Cheryl- Hygienist also did a wonderful job. Looking forward to go back again for cleaning.
We moved to Albany three years ago, and found Dr. K on a recommendation from a friend. She is quite wonderful. Shes efficient and no nonsense professionally, but kind in person. The office staff are patient and respectful.
Dr. K and the staff were very nice and knowledgeable. However, my bill for a new patient appointment and cleaning was $135. This office DOES accept my insurance but completed a type of X-ray NOT covered by my plan, so I was shocked to receive such a high bill. When I called to inquire, the receptionist told me it was my responsibility to know what is covered by my plan. Shes not wrong; however, upon talking with a friend, she had the same experience at this office. In my opinion, a first office visit with x-rays and cleaning is as standard of a dental service as you can get. If an office chooses to include a non-standard type of x-ray in their new patient services (i.e., one not covered by all accepted insurance plans), they should clearly share this information so patients can opt out.
First time today that I visited this lavish place they were very well respectful, genuine and overall professional! As well as the environmental being cleaned/sanitized. I really enjoyed my visit and will be coming back soon. Thank you all again for Being such a lovely Staff. =)

My husband have bridge,night guards,root canal, extraction and sleep apnea denture and partial made with total satisfaction and easy on pocket.I have bridge root canal and Implants made by her.In urgency she schedules even on her non working days. It is easy to make an appointment and in emergency she squeeze you in and if needed she works beyond closing time.I would not hesitate to give her far beyond five star rating.
An amazing dentist !!! I went to this office because I was told I need a root canal by another dentist . She numbed me up really well and removed all the decay and did a sedative fill . I don’t have any pain and don’t need a root canal . After 4 weeks she replaced the sedative fill with a white fill today . I wish all dentists were truthful and caring like her .

Lied about no charge for my initial visit. Repeatedly stated preliminary visit was covered under my insurance. Exact statement “ we are in the direct network as a provider for your carrier”. A month later $130 bill comes. They are known for billing people well after the visit, then making comments such as “oh insurance only covers so much”. Ridiculous, not acceptable, never returning, I recommend that you do not ever go!

Sorry in advance for the length of this post, I added a TL;DR summary at the bottom:I was thrilled with this office at first, but am glad I waited until my 5th appointment to write a review.I had not visited a dentist in quite a long time since relocating to Albany, NY. I chose Dr. K because I was experiencing some pain and she had very favorable reviews on this site. It turned out that I needed two root canals, which would be treated with two appointments each plus an additional appointment to place a crown on each.The problem, for me, began when the doctor accidentally broke a file off in my canal. This is not a common occurrence and could pose larger problems for me down the road.Then, just a few weeks later (today), I was left standing at the empty receptionist desk for 15 minutes. I showed up 10 minutes early to check in, so I did not mind at first that no one was there. But once the time passed the time which we were supposed to begin, I became agitated.There is a 8-by-11 sheet of paper at the desk that makes it very clear that the Dr.s time is valuable and that fees will be levied if you show up late. This, to me, needs to be a mutual understanding. I was coming in for the 5th time in two months during one of my lunch breaks to give you my business.I could clearly see a printed schedule for the day which showed no appointments were booked immediately before me. There was an open block and then I was scheduled for 1 PM.I had a conference call to be on later in the day, so I wanted to be sure we did everything we could to get me out of there by 2 PM. Instead, as the clock hit 1:04 (14 minutes standing at empty desk) I could hear laughter from the staff in the back, who must have been on their lunch break.That was it for me. I left a note making it clear I had been there and also informing them I did not feel like my time was valued. I stated at the end of my note that they could call to reschedule. By the time I walked back to my car (there is no off street parking, and I tend to park further away when the weather is nice so that I dont waste time hoping for a close spot that usually isnt there) I noticed they had not called me. It was now 1:10. I called them. No answer.I left a voicemail reiterating what I had stated in my note and making it clear to them that I did not expect to be charged as a no-show. I received a call back at 1:13 (23 minutes after I first walked into their office) and it was the receptionist. She started the call with Hi, how are you? and I responded not great. She replied so did you want to reschedule?I think anyone who has an ounce of professionalism can see what was missing from her dialogue in that exchange. I stated Im not sure that I do want to reschedule and proceeded to reiterate what I had written in my note and left on her voicemail. She replied with Well again we do apologize...This made me even more agitated. She had not apologized before. I told her this and informed her that this really ticked me off. She responded by yelling IM ticking you off!? and at that point the doctor was either given the phone or took the phone from her. The doctor was much more apologetic and offered to reschedule me.I really like Dr. K, but I declined. Ill be asking for my records and taking them somewhere else to finish the job. Theyve got to be better than this.TL;DR: Im walking around with a file in my canal, this place doesnt value your time, and receptionist is very unapologetic about it.
Had my appointment at 730 and showed up a few minutes early. They weren’t open yet so I was standing outside. Dentist just ran off after finishing procedure. Didn’t ask me if I had any questions or concerns.

Still in pain the then temporary filling fell out 2 hours after it was put in. Big waste of time she rushed and didnt seem to be with it at all. Thanks for nothing Dr. K. I wont be going back

2022-06-28Being a new patient I got an appointment the immediate next day, which was something I did not expect and was very happy. The whole staff was amazing, D.r K a very knowledgeable person, listened and answered to every question I had. Her dental hygienist was amazing she explained to me everything in detail about what I had to know about hygiene! Receptionist was super sweet. Definitely will recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a dentist in the area. Couldn’t ask for a better one as we have the best here!

2022-04-07If you want to be greeted by a rude, unprofessional receptionist who has zero customer service experience and then a dentist who cosigns and is also very unprofessional this is your place. I will never refer this place to even my worst enemy. I was reading through the reviews on here and this practice threatened someone that if they dont take down their review they will be sued for defamation. What kind of establishment threatens to silence you if you have had a bad experience and want to share with others? Beware and Proceed with caution. I wish I could give zero stars.
