CVS in other cities:
Update 4/2/2022This place is the absolute worst and Im really surprised that corporate hasnt fixed any of the issues people complain about.Called in to see if a prescription was filled. Was told yes. Came into the store and waited 20 minutes on line where one erstwhile worker had to field a single line of about 7 people. Finally get to front where I am told no, the prescription hasnt been filled yet. Person double checks and says to come back after lunch. Come back after lunch where I stand in line for another 20 minutes. Get to front of the line only to be told that they need to order the medicine and it should be in on Friday (this was Tuesday). I ask if they can get it from anothet store (its not a controller substance btw) and they say no.Come back Friday only to repeat the above process again, long wait in line as a single person handles all customer service. Get to front of line only to find out that not only did they not have my medicine but they also dont even have my prescription anymore. It was just gone.Called my doctor who sent it to another pharmacy nearby and got it within 5 minutes. Will NEVER go back here agaij for anything. What was a really bad experience 3 years ago has turned into something far worse.**********************************************Hit or miss at the pharmacy. Ill get a robo call that tells me my prescription is ready for pickup and usually when I get there Ill be told that its not ready and to wait for 15 minutes.Recently its gotten much worse. 15 minutes will turn into hours and sometime days. Ive had to wait 3 days to pick uo my script as the pharmacy just keeps telling me to come back in 15 minutes.I dont have this issue with other pharmacies in the same area that this CVS covers.
Imagine filling a prescription a week prior to pick up, confirming with the pharmacist that you would rather pay your co-pay and then arriving and rudely being told that you need to wait for a pharmacist. I was short on time so I called and inquired about the prescription status and the same rude person answered the phone. Off the bat the person at the counter was short tempered with me and just tried to push me to the side. She didn’t have the same energy with a person who appeared similar to her but whatever. The evening staff is spectacular by the way! So just try to avoid the morning even though it isn’t busy at all at 8:50am.
Worst cvs self check Ive ever seen every item I scan says I need help from a employee I just wanna pay and leaveIm editing this comment cause it wont let post another I just bought milk from this location and it expires tomorrow why is this still on the shelf in the first place
The worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. No communication between employees - I’ve had to call five times for one prescription and got different answers from each pharmacist. When there is a problem refilling, they don’t contact you. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs. I will gladly walk a mile to another location to avoid this CVS.
I would rather gauge my eyes out then go to this pharmacy. Staff is super unhelpful, they are very understaffed, and the homeless people they let walk around the store maskless is the cherry on top.All in all took me 6 pharmacy visits to pick up one prescription and after I went in twice to get the second month (I only have one prescription I fill once per month) I gave up and switched.Want to get a hold of a pharmacist? Plan on being on hold for at least an hour before you finally give up and walk to the pharmacy. Do yourself a favor and avoid this CVS
I have been going to this store since they opened. I am severely immunocompromised after having 17 surgeries including open heart surgeries. I have not washed my hair in a month and I went there to get shampoo and other things. When I got home I found that the shampoo was not in the bag. I called them and they said that they would bring it to me in 5 or 10 minutes. I have been waiting for hours and when I call they hang up on me. I PAID FOR THIS AND I CANNOT MAKE THEM GIVE IT TO ME.
Quick convenient and easy. A lot larger than you’d think from the outside. Kinda dingy and worn down inside compared to the Duane Raede next door. Line always moves fast. Self-checkout available as well. And don’t worry, you’ll get an infamous cvs receipt. Staff is always extremely friendly. Great place to really grab anything you may need. Not sure about the pharmacy but always looks to be a long line—much longer than I have observed at other CVS pharmacies.
Went to buy a gift card today with cash and the cashier asked for my ID...Will not visit this store ever again. Horrible customer service. I have bought a lot of gift cards from convenient stores during my lifetime with cash transaction, but no one ever asked for an ID, regardless of the amount. If I didnt have my ID with me, its ridiculous to realize that she would have rejected the transaction. If I had debit or credit card, it would have made more sense and I would have understood.
PLEASE tell the lady who greets people and stands by the self check out to leave people alone. Stay out of peoples business and personal space. I do not need to be told to push the credit button and have it pushed for me as if I am 6 years old when I am trying to pay with Apple Pay. And I DEFINITELY do not need to be told that I havent completed my purchase when my card is declining and I have to stand there transferring money from accounts. Like thanks obviously I am aware that I havent completed my purchase... leave me alone.
My prescriptions are often not ready when I arrive and tonight I witnessed nearly the entire staff slacking causing me to wait over 30 minutes to have my prescription filled. its a friday night nobody wants to be in cvs for long. Shout out to brandon though, he came over to check on me which i appreciated. I also noticed he was working fast and with drive; doing everything he could to get my perscription ready, I witnessed two employees seeming to have a great time chatting and being on their phones as well. As a manager I was shocked to see the differences in drive between the different employees. Give Brandon a raise or at the very least celebrate his drive and make him employee of the month if thats a thing outside of movies. second star only because its a 24 hour pharmacy which is super clutch
I’m a frequent shopper at the this particular CVS. But after today, I’ll never go there again. The was a woman who followed me through the beauty section. Then accuses me of stealing , when walking to the register. It’s a problem with most of the Indian women in that store they follow you around. And check over your shoulder every minute. They only feel the need to follow the African Americans that walk into the story. I’ll never go back there again.
Worst pharmacy 👎. I called multiple times in last 24 hours regarding my prescription and I was put on hold forever. Each time I called, I waited about an hour for someone to come on line to assist me but had to hang up without speaking to anyone as I wasn’t sure how long I had to wait and if anyone is available in that pharmacy to assist customers over the phone.
Fairly oldish medium-sized CVS location.its A-Okay-ish. interior feels a bit worn in and the aisles etc. feel cramped in areas because theres so much merchandise, here. this CVS has your standard pharmacy, otc med items, household and cleaning supplies, and some grocery items and snacks + candy...like all CVSs, now, its a bit of all in one convenience store with a pharmacy. i only come here when i end a run in the Stuy Town area and i have to-dos to cross off the list.this store operates with minimal staff (you can thank cost cutting.). even the register area is largely self-checkout which is good and bad. its good when theres no line. its bad when there is a line bc its often bc the self-checkout machines are acting up or a customer doesnt know how to use them. theres a CVS staffer there to help but its a bit maddening that something that is supposed to speed up lines actually creates more of them. but thats life in NYC...waiting on lines.all that said, this is not the best CVS nor it is the worst.the staff? havent had much interaction with them.drops mic cuz im feeling self-checked-out
This store has a reputation for rude staff, and rude, unprofessional phramacy staff. Best to video record your transactions there. The staff, and pharmacists, have tendancies to lie, and misinform doctors over the phone. As well, customers inquiries, and customers seeking their prescriptions are treated with rude, unprofessional misinformations and tendancies to lie. Avoid using this, Pharmacy or this store in general.
The store has many street people that are dangerous and disturb cutomers who are shopping and thee staff does nothing. their are people in the store constantly screaming and shouting and its not a safe store at all. I have seen customers be assaulted in the store and the staff just stands and watches to include th security people. Its horrifying.
Not helpful at all. Kept me on hold for a total of twenty minutes, hung up the phone without speaking to me after Ive waited that long, and then after I got through another twenty minutes later they failed to answer my question and hung up before I had the chance to explain what was going on in a different way that maybe they would have understood a bit better. Never filling here again and definitely never recommending that anyone else go here.
Requested a flu shot and asked for any availability any day of the week after 5pm. Pharmacist was cagey, said that they run out of stock every day, and that that late they won’t have stock. Hard to believe. It seems like he just didn’t want to do them any later and said I should just come at noon.
Horrible customer service experience. The 2 Indian ladies behind the counter refuse to help customers receiving money through money gram. First on the phone they lied the machine is broken(which it wasn’t as I entered all my info required my money gram) and then when I got to the store they refused to dispense the money I received though money gram. Horrible customer service, avoid this cvs location!
Star is only because the staff is nice. However, they are severely understaffed. I was on hold with the pharmacy for over 20 minutes. I stayed on hold while I walked to the pharmacy only to hear the CVS phone system repeatedly say “THREE PHARMACY CALLS”. In other words, the staff here is letting people call (probably concerned people calling about their prescriptions) and stay on hold indefinitely. No one, I repeat, no one will answer your call here, so just don’t try. I even called the store to tell the pharmacy to pick up, and they ignored the store clerk’s request.I don’t get it. It seems they are busy, but the one Star is deserved for this reason and more single stars to come from others who feel neglected. When it comes to my health I have no tolerance for pharmacy staff’s indifference.

2022-06-22Truly the worst store on earth. Everyone from the employees to the shoppers hate being here, it is chronically understocked with basic things (e.g. toilet paper, advil, etc), the pharmacy takes hours most of the time, and even the automatic doors are broken half the time you go. Could not recommend any less - go to LotStop next door or the Walgreens up the block.

2022-07-20Most ridiculously poorly managed or run pharmacy I have encountered in my 26 years of dealing with any pharmacy in Newyork, a simple task of filling prescriptions becomes a game of Jumanji in this place where I get messages through texts that my meds are ready and be available for 6 days but when I get to the pharmacy counter they are put back, that seems like more work for the workers and not to make customers go through the process of waiting where all this cld be avoided by being transparent about how long they would keep the prescriptions, pharmacy feels looks like a tornado has hit it, everything looks like it has gone through the gutter, poor management, lack of proper number to handle shifts and just dirty looking appearance of shelves and isles, the carpet looks like it’s from the 1960s dirty and dingy makes you feel like you are in a third world country’s pharmacy, The whole gimmick of 24 hours just down the gutter when they dnt have enough staff to deal with the flow of work.

2022-01-27I’m not one to post, and if I could give NO STAR, I would! but this CVS is the WORST!!! They never answer the phones!! I’ve tried various times, they should at least acknowledge that someone is on hold! I’m calling on behalf of my mom. Thank God this isn’t my pharmacy. I will be reporting this to corporate and hopefully they can do something!!!

2022-01-24I never thought Id be scared to walk into a CVS at 2 pm to pick up a prescription, but here I am living the New York City dream. Every time I go in, theres always some unpleasant character that makes me thank god for the pepper spray in my pocket. Get some security or something for both your customers and your poor staff.

2022-04-19Calling out specifically the pharmacy tech with the cauliflower ears and the bald weasel counting pills in the back:went here after open back surgery for pain meds and they refused to help me, treated me like a junkie, and told me to go to Beth Israel next door if I was in pain. Scumbags.

2021-12-15Literally has never answered their phone. i tried transferring a prescription to them but the new pharmacy said yeah they dont answer youre going to have to go in person to get them to fax the prescription or get a new one overall. i receive different (vague) info from every person-- youll have it next week, jk we havent had that in weeks, jk we dont know when well have it. dont be fooled by the appeal of 24/7. i regret choosing this pharmacy out of the convenience of its location and im still digging myself out of the hole to get this gd medicine. will be my third trip there tonight in a week because THEY DO👏 NOT 👏ANSWER👏 THEIR 👏PHONES👏!!!!!!!!!

2022-06-05Go to a small family owned place, this location never answers the phone there’s no option to press a Number to directly talked to a pharmacist or anyone at the store, it will take you atleast 20-30 minutes to even get someone on the phone

2021-12-08Worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to. Severely understaffed so they never answer their phone & the line is always takes FOREVER. Some staff are nice but others are incredibly unhelpful & inefficient. And they’re consistently out of stock of SO many OTC products, plus the store is dirty & dingy

2021-11-28This is a horrible pharmacy. My doctor sent my prescription here, It has been two weeks and they didn’t prepare it yet. They don’t answer the phone and online status say that the prescription ready to pickup for two weeks now, so I have to walk to the pharmacy and everyday they tell me tomorrow and it is never ready. When I go to the pharmacy, I have to wait each time for minimum of 30 mins to know that the prescription is not ready. I will never send my prescription here again.
