I like a place where the manager isnt above sweeping the floor. Or ringing up customers. Kudos to him!Right out of NYU Dental School, with my mouths pain receptors lit up like Christmas lights, I stopped here to buy some acetaminophen (they didnt give me anything for the pain!!!) and fill my prescription for antiseptic mouthwash. I could have waited until I got back to my home CVS, because I planned on killing any germs with lots and lots of alcohol later and didnt want to be carrying around mouthwash in a bar. But I decided that Id do it now, because I would be drinking lots and lots of alcohol later and wouldnt want to do it once I got drunk. Plus, if youve used one CVS Pharmacy, you can easily use them all. Nice.It took the pharmacist all of 10 mins to fill my prescription. I didnt even notice the wait because I was trying to buy the BOGO acetaminophen. The sign on the shelf said 24 count tablets, but it was in front of the 24 count caplets... I, for the life of me, dont know what the difference is, and neither did the clerk. But not a problem. She gave it to me at the sale price anyway. Thanks, because I was feeling no pain within the hour of downing those pills. Off to get drunk! Yay!

This is, by far, one of the best stocked and always accommodating CVS in the middle to lower end of Manhattan, and Ive certainly visited quite a few! I always can expect a fair price, a good deal and a sweet coupon.. somewhere in my future. Woohoo!! 😄 In case the store isnt represented, its at 23rd Street between First and Second Avenues, 10010.
Never try Passport photo here, the staff is definitely unprofessional, she took my photo without clear background, and she even have a video phone call with her friends or someone, and of course, the photo didn’t meet the requirement, and it took me 30 minutes here
Terrible. Came in at 6pm to ask for a passport photo. Associate #1 said “sure give us one minute”. Another associate (I’m assuming she is clocking out) “oh sorry nope, no more photos”.Associate #1: “sorry, no more passport photos. the system is down”So you’re meaning to tell me that a camera is “down for the night”?Lazy customer service. Take your business elsewhere.
THE PHARMACY STAFF IS DISHONEST. I went to pick up my prescription and the man at the from desk went to pick my medication and before handing it to me, he opened the bag, THIS WAS NOT to check my name but to find out what kind of medication I was picking up. He also had a racist attitude. This guy was fat Latino in his late 20s early 30s
Absolutely terrible pharmacy. They lied to me about my insurance not covering a certain medication, so I paid over $100. I went to a different pharmacy the following month and it cost $2.

2022-04-23Their entire business model is charging you 3 or 4x as much as anywhere else, by having a monopoly on drug stores in the city. Shelf prices dont match with what you get charged either.

2022-01-05I have had a prescription needing to be transferred to this location, and calling has resulting in the system hanging up on me every time. There is no way to talk to the pharmacist over the phone.

2020-01-01I go to this CVS as they are hard working and patient with all customers. Sometimes you have to wait but that’s because they are busy. James is an awesome technician and they are fortunate to have him.I’ve never been disappointed and saying that not all in pharmacy are nice but that’s life as well.

2018-01-25Professional and very, very, patient pharmacy tech named James. Very polite, helped me with saving card issues and was sincerely a customer advocate. I hope he becomes a Pharmacist one day. Hes really good with customers and respectful. Thank you CVS for hiring him!!

2020-04-28Very disappointed in the service from the pharmacy at this location. My prescription was sent in last week and I have called everyday for the last 4 business days to confirm they ordered my prescription. Each day they tell me it’s been ordered and it’ll be ready for pickup the following day after 3:00pm. I just called in this morning to confirm it’ll be ready for pickup this afternoon (it’s now Tuesday) and they are telling me it won’t be ready now until Thursday or Friday. After expressing my frustration at the fact that I have been told that everyday now for the past several days, I asked for the pharmacists name and she just hung up on me. If you live in NYC, do yourself a favor and use Capsule instead of CVS as your pharmacy.

2018-12-19Weve received complaint emails about the kind of service they offer in this business. More than one complaint has been about the staff at the pharmacy violates the costumers privacy. This is by gossiping about the costumer and the medication they go pick up. Specifically about the Latino overweight man who has the tendency to open sealed bags, even though he can read the name of the medication and the name of the client. This place should monitor more carefully the kind of staff the hired.

2019-10-16Horrible customer service. I want to give 0 start for the old lady, I believe store manger Ishrat. She doesn’t know how to talk to customer and help them. They make customer wait on the aisle more than 20 mins to unlock something. Instead of saying sorry for helping late . She was asking why am I keep pressing the helping button . Excuse me I can’t wait their forever to get help. 30 mins wait wasn’t enough ??

2014-11-21Sam - an employee of the store is amazing. He always has a smile and is willing to help anyone -- especially at the check out counter. I live next to the store and shop there frequently and its always a pleasure to visit this store when Sam is there as a dedicated employee of CVS.
