DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse in other cities:
I was very disappointed with my visit. I receive an offer in the mail for free ear pods with a $70 purchase. I went to the counter with my purchase and was told, the ear pods are all gone. I replied, today is the first day of the sale and they are gone? I asked about a rain-check and was told, there are none. The Clerk said, we were only given a few and when we run out, thats it. I replied, thats not on the offer I was sent in the mail. I dont think that is very fair. I shop at this store regularly but it left a sour taste in my mouth. If there is a way I can pick up a pair at another store or they could be mailed to me, I would greatly appreciate it.Thank you for your consideration.Mr. Steven Green1573 White Plains Rd. #B5Bronx, NY 10462
I like designer shoe selection here because they have good deal. However some Latino female cashier/manager gave mean attitude at check out. Also email coupon is NOT allowed at check out. I’m an Asian. Not sure if it’s a racist thing. It’s so unprofessional. It happened to me multiple times by different cashier/manager. It’s easy for someone fluent in English to know the difference. Discount store doesn’t mean you can give discounted service. Just keep that in mind!
The queen at dsw zulayka was the sweetest most hospitable worker there she is pure love!!!! thank you for going above and beyond to help me!!!! stay true to yourself! nyc needs more humans like you!rosa thank you for guiding me!!! spread love like covid!!! this word needs it!!! psalms 2525 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
The cashier with curly hair that assisted us today was not nice. I showed her a coupon that I had. she asked me to show her the email to see where I get the coupon from. That’s ridiculous because I never had this kind of problem before. We made a big purchase today and she was not helpful. I am very disappointed with these kind is people they have at this store. Because of her hostility we missed $60 coupon to applied to the purchase of more than $600
Associates are all lazy who could not be bothered with questions. You will get attitude if you ask, and it wasn’t just one employee. Three employees I spoke to all had an attitude. For once I won’t feel so bad about online shopping and putting brick and mortar stores out of business - along with their snooty employees
First time visit and bought some slip on sneakers.Second visit a few days later and totally impressed, not just by the vast choice but sizes, styles, prices, and quality. The most outstanding thing about this visit was the customer service,a girl called Lisandra stepped up and found me another pair of slip ons i wanted by visiting every corner of the massive shop, looking on line and calling around to the staff! She was very nice and so professional, thank you so much.P.s uou can donate shoes here and become a member too with discounts.
Sophia - Rude Customer ServiceMy mother, whose first language is not English, asked a customer service rep named Sophia for help to pull the discount barcode from an email. With very little patience, Sophia told her that if there was no barcode, that she could not use the coupon. I was on the phone with my mother trying to explain to Sophia that the email said that the promotion was valid for online as well as in store and that we just needed help locating the barcode, but Sophia just kept repeating with annoyance that if there is no barcode, there is no discount.Aside from the physical email itself, I even sent a screenshot of the webpage to show Sophia that there was a promotional code and that perhaps she needed to apply that, but her response was “I cannot take screenshots for coupons.” I tried to explain that I wasn’t trying to give her a screenshot in place of a coupon, but that the coupon was in fact valid for store use and that my mother just needed help locating the barcode, but she kept dismissing us.My mother finally found the barcode on her own and when she sweetly tried to show Sophia how to pull it in case another client had the same issue, Sophia dismissed her rudely. It is very frustrating to receive such mean, negative treatment when all a customer is asking for is help.I give this review 2 stars instead of 1, only because I want to be mindful of other DSW employees who do fulfill their customer service role in a more friendly way.
This company should hired managers with more skills. I purchased four pairs of shoes, two of them didn’t fit. When I went to return the two pairs a manager who’s name was JyAsia told me that she was going to refund me with a gift card. I explained to her that the purchase was almost $200 and the gift card I used was only $8. Her attitude was rude and arrogant. She has no skills to deal with a customer service position. I think she forgets she is there to help customers and to make them have a pleasant experience.
Always a hit! I have never walked in there and not left with something, be it shoes, boots, a pocketbook or backpack and finally, clothing. They carry a wide variety of items to check out and the quality runs from pedestrian to spectacular! I especially love Frye Boots and you can get them there at a reasonable price, almost the cost at their Vermont factory without the long trip! Its definitely worth the time to peruse their shelves and walk away with a treasure.
Update: Manager, Reina was very polite and helpful. Unfortunately, the men section there is still a very limited section nothing compare to before., however she was able to order my selected shoes online in my size and priced matched the clearance price.Highly disappointed with this store. Had called in to place a particular shoe on hold, was told it was just my luck that they had one shoe available. Upon arrival, my shoes were not placed on hold and the associate that assisted me was rude and uncollaborative, poorly managed. Management needs to retrain their associates to be more polite & less rude . Would recommend 34st location as they have 3 floors on inventory and plenty of gift with purchase available.
The shoe and boot selections are marvelous. A large, bright, help yourself store enables you to shop at your own pace. There are many rows of selections. The sales are impressive and the staff pleasant and helpful. I was searching for and found a couple of pairs of knee high boots that were exactly what I was looking for. There are also attractive selections of purses and accessories. It is worthwhile to get on their mailing list for special discounts. I will definitely continue to shop here.
I hated this place, i was looking for a pair of shoes i saw in the app but like 6 employees past right by me and no assistance. I feel like i was being discriminated against. No acknowledgement and even i was approached it was a guy yelling from across the store for me not to try on shoes if not on the designated area. I was so embarrassed because he didnt tell anyone else. I have never experienced this at dsw before. So disappointing. Ppl need to be retrained, and to treat everyone the same.
I am male. This store has a pretty good selection of shoes. I exclusively come here for formal shoes and boots because the sneaker collection is disappointing. Go to Models or Footlocker. For formal shoes, there is a decent range of quality and price. These shoes can be comfy and nice. As for boots, its the same thing. Also, the clearance section is hit-or-miss.
Just visited the 14h street store. The store has been redesigned so well for COVID. Single direction aisles, sectioned off area for trying on shoes where customers are appropriatley distanced from each other, ongoing disinfecting by team members, masks, and more. Great job DSW! Thank you for caring about your customers as well as your employees.
Interesting place. I never buy shoes because I dont have the patience to wade thru a puzzle. Here, everything is organized intelligently. A sample is displayed at eye-level on the tops of shelves with rows running parallel to each other. Under the samples displayed are boxes of every size available. If, like me, you wear an inordinately small or extra-large size, odds are you will luck out as it is the commonly worn sizes which are always in demand. I was able to pick up a rarely seen brand in the only size available, mine, for a clearance price of only $22. I cannot imagine anyone leaving without finding a surprise bargain here. Definitely worth a visit!
Large store with so many shoe options. There are plenty of staff that walk around making sure everything is tidy and organized, while also very willing to answer any questions you have. There are workers posted at both registers and customer service desks for returns and donations. I love the wide variety of shoes. This store is my guilty pleasure!
This review is in regards to the extremely check out experience I had with Jyasia. There was a long line and I had to wait 15 minutes because people were doing nothing standing around while there were at least 5 customers waiting behind me. Getting to the register, there shoe boxes everywhere and it was very disorganized. There was nowhere to put my purse down let alone pass the shoes it was so disheveled. Asking for a coupon the cashier didn’t even try to look for one after the I had was expired. Upon bringing up that the register was messy, she said I’m not supposed to be working here. After she just rang up a customer 15 minutes ago!!!! And then did nothing while there was a line. Love the shoes but never had this experience at 34th street. Hire more professional people DSW.
Its a little bit crazy in there, and disorganized but its very large. Despite this, they didnt have my size in stock for most of the items I wanted. Also an employee was instructing a team of 5 staff on how to do certain things, right in front of the sandals I wanted to browse (Birkenstocks). She refused to acknowledge me, completely ignored me, didnt move, just kept talking as if I wasnt there. Im a customer, if youre not going to help or serve me at least get out of my way so I can see the products?! Ridiculous. After she finished her meeting everyone scattered and I directly asked her for help. She was still mean, reluctant and shut me down a few times. Conversely, the cashier handled my return / exchange very well - she was quick, thorough, nice and efficient.
Shoes. Shoes. Shoes. Name the brand, they got it. Name the discount, they got it. And the clearance section? A shoppers delight. And youll be surprised how much the colour coded labels will take off the already discounted prices. Be ready to leave with a fully laden trolley. And the last minute grabs by the till are every forgetful souls answered prayer. Knick knacks for days. Found me items that had been on my shopping list for ages.
I was looking for boots and the ones I were most interested in had boxes that were beaten to hell. I dont care so much about the box but none of the boots on the inside of the box matched the size listed on the outside of the box. One box only had one boot. This was with at least two brands. I am giving 3 stars because I have shopped here before for sneakers and have not had this problem.
As a male that has a difficult time finding both a comfortable and stylish pair of shoes, I must say that this store has made many of my searches easier. The selection is wide and diverse, from some designers that I was only introduced to by DSW. The quality of the shoes and accessories I have purchased here are always top notch. Highly recommended.Shopping Tip: visit early in the day before the displays become messy.
Easier to go during the day not on lunch hour or after work. Options from cheaper shoes to discounted designer items. Have done shopping for fancy flats, boots and summer sandals here. They half sizes as well as some European comfort brands that you can try on in-house. Sometimes the prices are cheaper online for a specific shoe and differ from prices featured at the brick and mortar store. They have no problem if you return them in store based on that difference in sale.
I fell in love with brand named Breez, at great price. I have coming here on and off for almost ten years. I always find cutting edge high, quality, and cheap shoes for every occasion. (Breez: arch support, machine washable, light, and high end fashion for affordable price)
This is my go-to place for shoes at a great deal. Check out their clearance section in the back. I rarely find anything in the clearance handbags and shoes section though because this is just a popular location. Its great to get $5 and $10 rewards coupons for signing up their rewards program. You get a $5 coupon when it is your birthday.
DSW is pretty standard in its floor design and layout. This is a large store in a great little neighborhood with a lot going on. They have a HUGE selection of great shoes moderately priced. The large clearance racks across the back wall should not be missed! The lines are long and the staff are not that helpful but thats not why you go, you go for the cheap shoes! Enjoy
They have something for everyone except me. Ive had two surgeries on my left foot, every shoe I try on irritates the left foot. They have such nice shoes. Both of my daughters always shop at this shoe store, and always buy two or three pairs of shoes at a time. I have to wear orthopedic shoes, not so pretty. But comfortable to my feet.
This is my go to DSW in NYC. Since i work nearby I go here since its convenient. You can always shop till you drop (kidding), and have a nice meal at the Whole Foods next door. Plus, you get to enjoy the view and people in 14th street. once i had to return my purchased item, and they were really helpful in making sure I got the right item and nice tome about the whole situation.
Associates relay false information to the customers about deals they can receive. I went to buy a pair of snow boots and while trying on a pair, an associate told me I could buy a pair of shoes now and if I sign up for the rewards program, I could come back in a few days and use a $20 coupon on the pair of shoes I bought. Then once I found a pair I wanted to buy, I went to the counter and was told the exact same information by the cashier, therefore I decided to buy them and sign up (thinking I would get the money back). I came back four days later, ready to use my coupon, only to have the store manager who was working the register tell me that the information I was told was false and that I could not get anything off on the $50 boots. Then, she tried to convince me to buy MORE items and use a $10 coupon I received on that item instead. Reluctant, I decided to buy socks, only to have her say that I needed to pay a dollar more for tax. I was not willing to spend any more money after being promised twice that I could save money rather than spend more of it. All in all, the store needs better communication amongst the associates and management so customers are not fed false information and spend more money than intended. I cancelled my rewards subscription and would not recommend this store to anyone, nor will I be shopping there ever again.
They placed all the stools for trying on shoes in one corner of the store. The area was full and, in fear of getting infected with COVID, I tried the shoes on in the alley. I was then approached by an employee, who said that I have to go try the shoes on in the corner because I have to keep social distancing regulations. I was alone in the alley and the fitting area was full of people! Ridiculous.
All my shoes in my closet is purchased from here. They have such a big variety of shoes which works for me because I love shoes. I wish I had a bigger closet to fit them in. Lol. Prices are very reasonable and they usually have amazing sales. First place to look for shoes.
I generally dont enjoy shoe shopping, but this place has an enormous selection and great discount racks in the back. Some good selection on handbags, too. All the available shoes are stacked in boxes, so you dont need to have anybody wait on you, which makes for a faster shopping experience.
This was my first time visiting the DSW shoe store in Carle Place and I was quite disappointed. My sister asked me for a specific sneaker in size 10 for her birthday.First of all: it’s very difficult to find anyone to help you in the store. There aren’t very many sales people walking around.Fortunately I was able to flag down a single sales woman who was getting on an elevator and she made the time to help me realize that this shoe was not in stock in her store nor any other store with the exception of the DSW in Union square Manhattan-which was over 20 miles away. She helped me put this sneaker on hold and I drove for an hour to get to Manhattan from Carle Place. Fortunately I was able to get the sneaker in that size but it begs the question “why is it that the sneaker was so difficult to find in a size 10?”A size 10 would be at least a size that you wouldn’t expect to be extremely popular since most women wear smaller than 10. Furthermore: there was no way to order the sneaker and have it shipped to me in a reasonable amount of time. I was told that any order I placed would probably be canceled.I made the drive to Manhattan to realize immediately that there’s virtually no place to park. Fortunately it was getting dark early and I simply left my car on the street amidst the shopping chaos and I rushed into the store expecting to get a ticket on the way out. When I went into the store I was facing a line with more than 30 people on it which was very similar to the line in Carle Place. In order to skip the line I walked up to one of the cashiers nonchalantly and I asked him if he had a sneaker reserved for me from the store in Carle Place. He quickly found the sneaker and another young sales woman offered to let me pay for it at the register she was about to open up in order to relieve the line. I paid for that sneaker in less than five minutes and made it back to my car before they could give me a ticket. Not only am I not a fan of the store in Carle Place I’m even less of a fan of the store in Manhattan considering how inconvenient it was especially during the holiday season when they know there’s going to be a lot of people shopping. There were still very few sales people on the floor to help you and the availability of specific sizes of shoes are extremely limited.I am fortunate that I don’t have to shop at this place and after having this experience I doubt I would ever shop there unless I absolutely had to.They’d be better off allowing a service like “Uber eats“ to deliver shoes for them when they are in lower availability. As for the two young sales women who helped me make this purchase possible: I would love to give them a promotion.
I would give 10 stars if I could! Customer service helped me find the wedding shoes I was searching for! On top of that, they had a store send me pictures of the shoes because they had scuffs on them. They gifted the shoes to me because they were a clearance item and I was able to clean them up for my big day! Im so excited and cant wait to wear them! :)
Every shoe that you are looking for in this place is here place is huge they have mens shoes womens and even shoes for kids and they even have pocket books.iand they even take old shoes that you dont want and have them recycle for a good cause a people are extra friendly and helpful all thumbs up for DSW👍👍👍👍
Brielle at the Union Square DSW store was incredible! Between size issues, mismatched shoe issues, and card issues she took the time to resolve everything and get us on our way in a timely manner. The shoe range is huge, the prices are cheap, and thanks to Brielle I can say the staff are definitely fantastic! 10/10 recommend.
The selection is okay. But the crowd and the mess made it difficult. I also noticed that their selection wasnt even that large compared to other DSW locations that Ive been to. I ended up going to a location in Jersey to shop and found what I needed. Definitely need more organization and more employees to keep the mess at bay. Cant shop when everything is thrown everywhere.
Great place to go to shop for shoes. It is a hit or miss shop. There maybe lots of specials and great deals on shoes, sometimes not. But there is a huge selection of shoes. The prices range from extremely cheap to extremely expensive with tons of deals in between. It is a total fun shopping experience.
Lapin and I came here recently to look for new dressy shoes for him. I have been here before but this was his first visit. It didnt take long for him to go through the small couple of aisles they have dedicated for mens shoes. In the end, we werent able to find anything for him but I found a cute pair of flats for $64ish in the clearance section. The lines are usually long during lunch time, after work, and during the weekends. But occasionally, they do have employees walking around doing express checkout for credit/debit card holders. And be sure to sign up for the loyalty membership as they mail coupons.
Finally, a shoe store with shoes that fit me! I am shocked at so many shoe stores that do not carry wide sized shoes. After going to Nike, Reebok, and Footlocker, NONE of those stores had wide sized shoes I can try on. It just baffles me. I was so relieved that DSW had not only wide sized shoes, but also comfortable ones. I am definitely coming back here again, and I will recommend this store to my wide feet brethren.
I love this store - a lot of styles, kolors, good quality, huge sale and discount. Working people are nice, helpfull and mucho sympatetic. And the most important - I can get my size, very small size for really good price. Is not problem for return, not all. Thanks you DSW.
I usually come here, and run straight to the back (where the sales items are). If I dont find anything there, I look around the store to see if theyre any interesting shoes available. I usually find a pair or two, and the price is usually right for the name brand. Its definitely worth checking out if youre a bargain hunting shopper.
Theyre back open again since Phase 2 began today! The halls are a little wider, those seats with the mirrors are gone and the one long line to the cash register has been replaced with many short lines, and stickers saying WAIT HERE.Otherwise its basically the same Shoe Warehouse we all fell in love with. Except they stopped carrying my favorite running shoes - Saucony, so they gonna lose big chunk of my personal business from that :(
Good products and good prices, but only 2 to 3 cashiers work when all the other cashiers chit chat, and gossip and go around the place. And they have lot more employees than other stores have. But had to wait for more than 30 minutes in the line. More than 30 people were waiting in the line. The manager was no where to be found. If DSW top management checks the cameras they would find the truth. And just ask your employees to check how Whole Foods market employees take care of the customer lines.
Rachel is the worst manager. She worked Saturday night. We were looking for a pair of boots but only one was in the box. She said we had to look through the boxes ourselves. She would not help. Just stood there and watched. Three other sales people watched us too. Standing around watching us. Then one then helped. When I asked Rachel about her customer service she said to just order the boots on line at customer service she would not help. We kept looking and found the boots. When I asked for her supervisor name and number she said to go to customer service. I waited in line there and instead of the number and name of her supervisor she brought security to escort me out.Other DSW stores might be great. This one is not. The staff has the worst attitude. It comes from the top-from Rachel.I feel bad for the staff who have to work under/with a ratchet woman like her. Good luck DSW. With staff like her youll be filing bankruptcy soon.
Be aware. I returned my online order to this store but the guy who was in charged of didnt request the return on system. It has been 14 days and thank god I checked my credit card statement. It finally sorted after I talked to DSW customer service. Either customer chat or the store representative werent helpful at all. Thank you for letting me call back and forth and waste 3 hours.
The staff is friendly and helpful, its a convenient location near many trains, buses, stores and restaurants. They sell more than just shoes, although thats their market, so thats what they mostly sell. Burlington, forever21, wholefoods, Kelloggs restaurant, rebook shoes, lush, mcds, pharmacys, a park are just a few things near by. Theres so much more than that. Theres no real free parking. Its best to arrive through buses or trains. Definitely can spend all day here. I definitely recommend going to this area, wont be bored at all.
They never have the bags they give away with a purchase whatever amount you have to spend. Its always sorry we ran out.Its super messy after 2pm, and rarely do they ever have size 7.5 or 8 in mens dress shoes. Theres always a long line and like 3 available registers, or theres a short line but the person working the register is super slow.Shopping here is a hit or miss, really. Usually a miss though.
If you dont want to clutter up your closet with too many shoes, avoid DSW. I cannot leave without buying something. Ive gotten awesome deals on top brand shoes. The color coded discount system affords even bigger discounts on already discounted shoes, boots and accessories.
Let me write this review to help these employees out at all DSW locations...BTW LOVE DSWTo all those customers who are not fast enough to catch on the rules and policies of the DSW company.1. Returns and exchanges:-You have 60 days for the return of shoes as long as the shoes ARE NOT WORN and you bring it WITH THE BOX.No not a beat up box, bring it back the way you bought it and dont try to play yourself with getting things your way. Also, if they say no, DO NOT FIGHT WITH THE EMPLOYEES. Who told you to drink liquids and then go shopping? Go to your own restroom......AT YOUR HOME!!LASTLY, BE SMART!!!This rating goes specifically for the associate Phobe. I do not appreciate being followed through every aisle I was walking by while shopping. She was basically walking over my shoulder and she kept giving me the snake eye. Honestly she was really rude and if she was just trying to do her job then she should have said something or offered to help. She made me feel highly uncomfortable.
The shoes are not particularly cheap and there arent many high end designers products that you can find here.Oh the cashiers are so rude. They bluntly ask me for my email address which I refused. They gave me this long face as I had owe them money. Ladies, I dont want to share my personal details ok? It is my right!
Pretty much the only place I buy shoes because of the points and coupons. You can use up to 3 for 1 transaction. Great selection, but also know different locations have extra styles not on website especially on name brand stuff. Michael kors loafers in queens were not in manhattan and tommy hilfiger boots were in manhattan but not in queens and neither were on website. NY locations probably get exclusive stuff ; )
I have always liked this store! Sometimes the prices are cheaper online than in store so check before you make a purchase. The clearance section is getting more expensive and doesnt have the great deals you used to be able to find....but still good shoes at reasonable prices.
Normally, when I go to DSW, there is wonderful customer service, however this time the cashier who checked us out was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. She acted like she couldnt be bothered to help me with an email that I supposedly received for a discount. She seemed perturbed with my questions asking for her assistance. When she called us over, (by waving a hand - not even looking at us,) she did not greet us in a courteous manner AND when the transaction was over, she was could not wait to leave the register as I asked for the receipt (instead of placing it in the bag.) She just walked away without even a thank you! THIS WAS THE WORST TREATMENT THAT I HAVE EVER RECEIVED AT DSW!!! I HOPE THAT OTHER DSW EMPLOYEES WILL NOT ACT LIKE HER OR ELSE SHE WILL LOSE A LONG-TIME CUSTOMER!
Ordered online to pick up in store. The confirmation page said that I would be able to pick up my order in 4-7 days, but its been 11 days since I ordered. They told me that they have to process their orders but that was 4 days ago. Do not order to pick up packages from here. Had no trouble ordering from their 34th street location.
Terrible customer service. After two hours on hold to place an order, I gave up and redialed. Now another hour has passed, still no answer. (I have my phone on speaker, so I can do something else while I wait.) Chat line does not engage after multiple attempts ... too busy. This would have been unnecessary if the checkout page on the web site had reflected the free shipping that was indicated.
They had to be lowstaffed the day I went. I was wondering aimlessly, looking for a specific shoe brand. After 20 minutes, I gave up and started walking to the register. To my surprise, I saw a couple of employees following a young woman, which happens to be a minority. Then it all made sense.
This is a shoe paradise. From high shoes and sneakers to end flip flops. They sign you up for a reward card and send you coupons for your birthday. They have online FB contests as wellIts an empty vestal when you walk. Prepare for the HIGH rising escalator. Now go run and get some shoes!PS: Kept by the check out are pocketbooks and small accessories What are you waiting for -the variety of shoes keeps changing and there is a sales rack but by the time they get back there --they look old and used.
This worker who was working at this store today, her name is Sophia. She was sooooo rude, she was driving everybody crazy being so impolite and taking off all the shoes from the costumers hands blaming them that they do not know how to get boxes out and that they are touching wrong sizes... I do not know how this store trains its workers, but this lady just ruined my impression about this store. I am not going to go back EVER again... Bad costumer service equals bad store and also bad day!!!
A smaller dsw when compared to the one at 34th Street, nevertheless a one with great collection. DSW is my favourite shoe store because they carry the best shoe brands. I wish they have a bigger collection of ECCO and Johnston Murphys. That being they carry a wide range of Cole Haans at discounted prices
Horrible customer service. I had a question for the staff on the floor and when I said Hi and. Before I could go on she went on a rant about not having the size if its a question about size. RUDE. I still asked to confirm and she confirmed so that is a size question I just talked about...Super rude
PRICES ARE NOT A TRUE BARGAIN AND IS HARD TO FIND SOMEONE THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND WHERE YOU CAN FIND THE SHOES YOU MAY BE LOOKING FOR. IM ON A VERY TIGHT BUDGET AND NEEDED A $6O- $65 SHOES FOR THE COMING SUMMER MONTHS TO BE WORN WITH DRESSES BUT I COULDNT FIND WHAT I NEEDED. AT TIMES THINGS WILL BE MISPLACED.
All the staff members I encountered were SUPER nice & friendly, until the manager- she was totally unreasonable when I tried to exchange an umbrella an hour after I purchased it for a larger / more expensive one - I called customer service and they said they felt she was being “unreasonable” but that there wasn’t anything they could do, it was not the return policy but returns are at the desecration of managementSorry union square, I won’t be coming back :(

2022-08-01What fresh hell is this DSW. I will not return to this location. This is the only location I’ve ever been to where they do not let you try on in the aisles. They make you carry anything you want to try to the back where you sit on crowded benches with people amidst a mass of boxes. This policy makes no sense. The joy of DSW is being able to quickly skim the aisles, find my size, and try something. If you try this here you will be yelled at. If I have to carry every single shoe I want to try 30 yards, walk back and forth to grab a different size or style, etc I am simply not going to try nearly as much, nor will I buy as much. They have this policy even in the sale racks! It’s also stupid because we were told to just leave shoes we didn’t want in the bench area. So now another person who might be in the aisles looking for that shoe in that size won’t know they actually have it because it’s in a pile waiting to be reshelved! I do not understand why they are doing this. It made shoppers cranky, and the employees were super rude—probably because they are crabby from having to enforce this system. After this profoundly miserable experience I went to Macy’s, where the selection was way better, and—somewhat to my surprise—the prices were cheaper for some brands.

2022-09-13I have big feet. Shopping for shoes is already hard and it was made harder by the staff that thought I was shoplifting. The amount of times I was asked if I needed help while being watched and followed made me feel very uncomfortable. It was blatantly obvious that they were profiling me. I had to explain to a staff member that I have big feet and was just looking online as well as in store for what they might have on the shelf. I did end up getting a pair of shoes but I dont think I will ever be going back to that location.

2022-06-06The DSW by Atlantic Terminal is far better than this one. This was the WORST experience Ive had at a store in my entire life. I walked in to look at the Vans, I noticed that there wasnt a single seat in view to sit on for the purpose of trying on shoes. There were also no signs instructing you to sit anywhere else. I sat on the ground to try shoes on and was greeted by the rudest employee who SCREAMED at me to sit on the benches at the back of the store. No one told us about the benches upon entry. We put the shoes back and I remained on the ground, preparing to get up, the same employee walks by, raising her voice even more and once again yelling at me to get up and that Im not allowed to simply sit on the ground. It was very humiliating. The back of the store where the designated try-on shoe area was a mess. There were boxes of shoes all over the benches with no seats for us to sit on. A male employee was also there yelling at customers for whatever reason. I would seriously not recommend this place, it was traumatic and embarrassing. Entering this DSW ruined my day.

2022-07-01Was trying on a shoe in the aisle and got yelled at by one of the employees. Apparently, you have to do that in the back but there are no signs stating that. Wouldve been fine if they said it normally rather than embarrassing me in front of others. Meanwhile, other people were doing the same thing in the other aisles. Rather not spend my money here

2022-09-14The manager here was ridiculous. Apparently they don’t want you trying on shoes in the aisle now, which was news to me. I didn’t obey their stupid policy and she had security come harass me, not let me just continue minding my own business trying on shoes. Isn’t the sole purpose to try to sell product? Not control how customers shop? This dsw cares more about enforcing new ways of having customers try on things that make zero sense than making money. Corporate should take note and fire this power-tripping-trifling person. Never has a worse experience.

2022-04-12I usually do not shop at this location!I felt like the workers were following me around the store as if I was going to steal 😡 made me very uncomfortable. I speed walked to the woman shoe side and the sales male that was following me also speed walk . He didn’t even asked if I needed help !!!Also I bought two toddler shoes that had a different price on the shelf for 17.49 cent and the lady at the cashier wanted to charge me 35 dollars because their “ workers “ didn’t change the price !I have no problem paying $35 dollars but if the self says it’s $17.49 I’m paying 17.49The cashier has a nasty attitude btw!!

2022-04-24I went to the store yesterday, and just to point out (im mexican), as soon as I walked into the store the personel had their eyes laid on me, in a very mean way, sort of having the impression by the way I dress/and look that I shouldnt be there, or I had the intentions of stealing. I was trying to buy shoes and tried them on but I was told very rudely (in a very loud arrogant way, with people around) that i needed to go to the benches and the woman just rolled her eyes at me. after I sat down she walked past me and didnt care that my shoe boxes were there and just pushed them with her feet to go her way. incredibly rude service.

2018-12-03I have very small foot size (1.5-2 youth) and there is very limited choice of kids shoes in this store. Prices are not that much cheap. The store closes early compared to other stores around. Bags are mostly represented by 3-4 brands.
