The pharmacy is now only open from 9-6. There are signs on the closed windows of the pharmacy but nothing on the store’s outgoing messages or on the website. What is the point of only being open during hours when most are at work? Everything is locked up and it’s a hassle all around. I’m transferring my prescriptions to some place with convenient, consistent, and clearly marked hours.

I, my family and friends have patronized Duane Reade pharmacies for decades. A relative of my family this past Tuesday had a very disturbing encounter with the employees as well as management. There is a growing disdain and disregard for the people of my community due to population shift. It is evident that this particular encounter of poor unsatisfactory and disrespectful service from every employee encounter is a reflection of lack of respect for the suffering consumer who does not understand the power of their feedback and their dollars. If anyone reading this is interested in advocating for the voiceless and or helpless, DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PHARMACY. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND TAKE THIS COMPLAINT TO THE NEXT LEVEL, BOYCOTT!

The pharmacy was closed for three days - sat, sun, mon. At 8:50 am on tue I was told “we open at 9am”. I could not wait. My meds were ordered last Friday. Now I am not going to miss my meds for 5 days, in the best case, and even more if I could not make it by 6pm.I am switching to CVS, and I do not think anyone would care.

Consistently the WORST Duane reade, cvs or any similar place. There is no one working there, they need to hire more people especially if they won’t put in self checkouts. You have to wait forever to check out no matter what time you go.

Its unclear if this place is ever open. They almost seen fraudulent. I get a call today telling me to pick up a prescription, and it turns out they werent even open. Who is making these calls and why? Easily the worst pharmacy of any kind in Manhattan.

The pharmacy is terrible, they are unorganized, will lie and give you the run around. In two visits trying to get a simple amoxicillin and prescription Ibuprofen filled I was told they didn’t have time to fill the prescriptions and to come back the next day. I was upset but kind of understood, I proceeded to ensure that they had the correct insurance information on file and they entered it in the system. I then come back the next day and say they didn’t fill it because they didn’t have my insurance on file. I gave it to the again and was told I would have to wait 30 minutes while they filled the prescription. After waiting for the prescription to be filled I found out that they only had one of the two prescriptions on file and had only filled the ibuprofen. I was then forced to go back to the doctor to attempt to have the prescription sent a second time. In good times this would be inconvenient, however while sick this has been unbearable. I also had a copy of the printed scripts (which the pharmacy refused to accept) because the doctor said the pharmacy often has “problems”. I should have taken this as an omen when choosing this pharmacy. This was my first attempt at using this pharmacy as I had hoped to switch all of my prescriptions from a local, but further CVS. I can ensure it will be the last time I use this pharmacy.

Several run-ins with rude staff at the checkout and beauty counter. Some shelves are empty and many items are labeled the wrong price. There is no way to price check items by yourself unlike other major drugstores.So I got an email from Duane Reade / Walgreens that my favorite brand was on sale. Nothing was tagged at the store and everything looked to be full price. I brought 3 to the cashier to be price checked - cashier huffed and puffed, and I tried to explain that I got an email saying this brand was on sale. When one turned out to be on clearance and two on sale, she said it was wrong in the system and refused to let me buy ANY of them. Seriously? Corporate HQ should check out this location.I moved my prescriptions to a different pharmacy chain that’s 2 blocks further away so that I don’t have to deal with their rudeness anymore. Luckily, we have alternatives in this neighborhood.

Very rude! People behind the counter dont want to help they arent friendly and dont answer questions. Be careful who you hire. Horrible customer service. Even the women working the floor couldnt be bothered. Rude and Is very arrogant.

I’m not shopping here anymore. They’ve locked up all their products and continually understaff their store, which is disrespectful of my time and offensive to the community. It is untenable to expect your staff members to retrieve every item I want to buy. When I attempted to speak to management about my concerns they took no responsibility for their terrible policies, instead choosing to blame community members as well as Eid for their staffing shortage, even though this particular day was no worse in terms of staffing than any other day. Maybe someday they’ll realize how much local competition they have and reverse course

Great store, pharmacy staff is the best. Theyre very helpfull especially during this pandemic. The only downfall is not being able to get thru by phone. Lately calls stay on hold for more than 25 minutes. Pharmacy needs additional staff or a better phone system.
