Very happy to have booked Dumbo movers for my move today. It was a local move & this was my first time using a professional service to help me move. Extremely satisfied by their services even though a was a little skeptical reading the not-so-pleasant reviews from before.My experience was seamless & the expectations were quite clear, no hidden charges or extras. The gentlemen arrived before time, we discussed how the items will be moved & in the next three hours, I was all set.Highly recommended & theyre priced right. Thank you guys!
Dumbo Movers, 15 North Oxford Street, Brooklyn, NY. This was my first experience with this company. I forgot how nervous I was the night before. The office did make me comfortable when I hired them. But not knowing someone takes a toll on the nerves. They reassured me that I had made the right decision by sending two of the nicest guys that made me smile and eased. They were quick, efficient, and well prepared for the job. As for price, their flat rate was perfect for my budget. From the office employees to the service personnel, they let me know that they truly cared for my well-being. Thank you Kenneth, Alex, and “C” who wouldn’t allow me to thank them ($).
The review accolades for Dumbo Moving are well deserved. A special commendation to the crew which arrived on time, did a great job packing, and delivered top-notch professional services. Although we had a small window of opportunity at the loading dock, they worked with us to make it happen. Downsizing from 3,500 to 700 square feet was a hard job, but they made it look easy delivering our precious and now few possessions intact and with amazing customer service. Extremely pleased!
We had an excellent experience with Dumbo Moving. The team was very communicative about when they were arriving and also very communicative about costs. It was very affordable as we had gotten a few quotes and Dumbo was the best. Today was our move in day and the team was so wonderful. They arrived right on time and were so quick and efficient. Our move was down in less than two hours. Our mover Shota and his colleague were amazing! I would highly recommend them for any move!
I moved from NYC to Florida and I had a fantastic experience working with Dumbo Moving from start to finish. Everyone was professional and communicated well. I especially liked the link they provided that tracks the van for delivery. They picked up my stuff Thursday afternoon and I received it the following Tuesday morning! I didnt feel like it was overpriced (I made sure to provide exact measurements and inventory) and I wasnt charged for anything extra at the time of pick up or delivery. All of my stuff returned to me intact and was quickly assembled by the delivery guys too. I would recommend them to anyone needing moving services! Thanks again, Dumbo.Edit : Added a picture of the truck that arrived! I also wanted to add that I packed up all of my things myself. I noticed some folks had issues with that service so I would recommend packing up as many of your valuable/treasured items yourself. The guys only wrapped up the furniture and packed our TVs in TV boxes I provided to them.
10/10 - Im so glad I chose Dumbo Moving to assist and make my move easier. They were responsive, friendly service, great communication, and everything was completed at a cheap price!!!! From start to finish, it was an easy experience and everything went smoothly. The movers were extremely helpful and careful with all the furniture. They made sure everything was delivered to the drop-off location. I definitely recommend Dumbo Moving if you want your stuff moved at a cheap price with excellent service. I will definitely be working with them again in the future.
I could not say enough good things about Dumbo moving. My partner and I moved from an apartment in NYC to a house in NJ, and it was by far the smoothest and easiest moving experience weve ever had. Mark was so accommodating and maintained clear communication with us throughout the entire process. I called and messaged him so many times with last-minute changes to our move, and he couldnt have been more professional, friendly, and helpful. The two movers we had were also incredible. They were efficient, professional, and careful. They ensured we were happy with where they were putting everything, and they treated our stuff with more care than we could have imagined. We will definitely be recommending Dumbo moving (and Mark!) to everyone.
Dumbo Moving did a great job of getting my belongings from New York to LA. Brad, who coordinated the move, was very helpful and responsive. The movers on the LA end were awesome. Very efficient and nice. The ones on the NY end weren’t as great (they tried to squeeze an extra tip out of me in exchange for not reporting that I was a box or two over). Outside of that it was a great experience and my 53 boxes got to me in good condition and for a really reasonable price.
Young at Dumbo helped us orchestrate our move from NJ to Atlanta, GA in the Fall of 2021. The quote was reasonable compared to other companies. They were very organized and we received everything in great condition. The 73 foot truck could not be moved up to our new home but they were able to work out the off loading without going for a shuttle truck. The men were quick and pleasant. I would use this company again in the future and recommend them to friends.
We used dumbo moving for a move from Brooklyn to Texas. I’m so happy with their service. Exactly one week and we could track our belongings! No hidden charges! It was exactly what they said $. I definitely recommend these guys to anyone moving and I will use again for my parents move 👍
I had an all around wonderful experience with Dumbo moving. The two movers that were brought out to assist texted me well ahead of arrival time and arrived perfectly on time. They were careful with my items and were fast and efficient with the move. Also everything was moved carefully and was properly setup in my new apartment. Moving sucks but these guys made it a heck of a lot easier. Overall, great experience and would highly recommend.
BEST experience I have ever had with a moving company! From first getting the estimate from Hank, right up through todays successful move, the folks at Dumbo were a total pleasure to work with. They were extremely professional, courteous, and fair through all phases of the process. Hank has been amazing with keeping me posted on everything along the way and what to expect, and the moving crew was fantastic. And yes,they actually stuck to their price! If Im ever to move again, I will be using Dumbo. Ill also be referring friends and family to them. Thanks again for a great experience.
I had such a great experience moving with Dumbo Moving! Moving in NYC is not easy, but I had a wonderful experience with this company. The sales team was so responsive to get my move scheduled, routinely checking in with me. Then, the movers arrived promptly and packed everything up so nicely and brought it over to the new apartment. I was so nervous but Dumbo Moving did an incredible job. I would 100% recommend moving with them for your next move.
I hired them to help unload a truck. These movers threw my stuff around like garbage and dragged my furniture around - ripped my mattress and got it dirty, and dinged up a bunch of my stuff. Then they tried charging me another $250 (which was half of what I paid in the first place) because one of the sofas needed to be taken up the stairs and a desk needed the legs unscrewed. This was all well within the three hours I hired them for. Left me out to dry when I refused to pay them extra. Youre way better off working with a Taskrabbit.
We worked with Dumbo Moving for a move from NY to PA. The team was very communicative and easy to work with leading up to the move, and gave us great info to help us prepare for the move. They were also very responsive with quickly delivering boxes for us to pack the day after we scheduled our move. During the move itself, the team was extremely efficient and skilled. Everything was packed up very safely, including padding furniture, etc. The pricing was extremely reasonable compared to other options we researched, and the entire experience was very seamless. I would highly recommend working with Dumbo Moving!
I recently moved and I had to find movers. Out of 8 choices I decided to go with Dumbo moving because they were the cheapest and the best. On the day of my move 2 young guys arrived and immediately started moving things. They were quick and efficient. They really did a professionally, wonderful job, I couldnt thank them enough. Hello, Dumbo Moving and Storage was brilliant to work with. All my furniture was just taped up well. Those great guys working and trying to charge less than they should. This company really helped me! Whenever I plan on moving again I will definitely contact them. No complaints. They were very attentive and took care of my items. Dumbo Movers are the best! I had to change my move date multiple times and they were so accommodating throughout the whole process. Albert and his moving team were so helpful the day of and worked so hard in 90 degree weather without complaining once. So grateful for their help and will only use them in the future. Also prices are reasonable given the amount of work they do!
I used DUMBO in 12/2021 for moving a living room, a bed and a few other things from my apartment in Brooklyn to my house in Delaware. I was very please with their service. The price was excellent. So much better than what others were quoting me since the move is considered out of state.My representative Ben communicated with me for days from the beginning until the day of move. He actually went down on the price for me.The movers communicated as well like I was told. They called to confirm the day before and an hour before arriving. They were quick and professional. They handled my furniture and belongings with great care.I would recommend them to anyone.

Using Dumbo moving for my most recent move was the best decision I could have made. George and David were absolutely outstanding. They arrived at my pickup location 5 minutes ahead of schedule. George diligently explained the process to me and went through my list of items. They delivered all of my things safely up four flights of stairs, they were incredibly professional and did not complain once. It truly made the entire moving experience so much less painful, and kicked off my move on the right foot. I would recommend Dumbo moving company and George + David to any and everyone looking to hire movers.

I’m not one to post reviews but I had a great experience with Dumbo moving. We moved from NYC to Texas, and their quote to me was literally HALF of every other company I talked to. Right upfront Jack, our amazing salesperson, assured me the only thing that didn’t include was insurance and gratuity and that quote is exactly what I paid. We even added a couple things when the movers arrived- no up-charge. Our bed had to be taken apart and put back together and it’s better than it was before. The movers on both ends were lightning fast, but still I felt took good care of our belongings. Communication was good and efficient throughout.My only Cons- In this regard, I feel like I got what I paid for: but delivery takes a longggg time (2 weeks for us but can be more) which would be fine except you don’t know exactly when they’ll arrive until about 12 hours before.One box was wet??? But it was a box full of glass and breakables that all remained in tact so I’m not mad about it.Get the additional insurance. Just get it (and value your own items don’t take the first quote). Despite little dings we aren’t cashing in on our insurance, but the peace of mind for the several weeks waiting was absolutely worth it.Last thing was the guys who picked up our stuff (not the ones who delivered) kind of strong armed me into tipping in front of them which I didn’t love(despite planning to give a good tip regardless because they were great).Ultimately, I couldn’t more highly recommend Dumbo Moving to anyone (we only used moving services not packing) in NY looking to make a long distance move.
This is my third time using Dumbo Moving and they were amazing as always! They were very communicative, took a good care of my items and were efficient. I recommend dumbo to everyone and because they are simply the best and you know your belongings are safe. This time crew 11 helped me and they were incredible. It was 90 degrees and 90% humidity and I was moving from a 4th floor walk up but they still took the best care and threw 100% into the move despite the heat being brutal.
Given the great reviews and a recommendation from my friend I cancelled my appointment with another moving company and called Dumbo for my relocation to another state. spoke to Kathryn and she was pretty patient and professional.I was charged per item listed.It was reasonable than the initial company I had. They picked up my items and there was extra charges to the extra large items I had,but I was able to negotiate with them to a reasonable price. They communicated with me throughout and delivered it faster than I anticipated.Everything was the same as picked up except my couch which was accidentally damaged in the process.Dan reached out to me to negotiate a replacement to my satisfaction.Over all it was a great serviceTip**Make sure you describe and tell them the exact size of your items to avoid any charges on pick up.
We hired a team from Dumbo Movers to help my parents move appliances from one house to another. They were blown away by the communication and level of service from our team (Edgar, Andres & Carlos).They were courteous, careful and communicated with us the whole way. Dumbo was a fantastic comp[any to organize and execute my move with from Atlanta to Boston. Ben, a sales representative at Dumbo, was extraordinary. While planning our move, he was incredibly attentive and responsive to our requests. He worked tirelessly, at all hours of the day, to answer our inquiries and add in last minute items up to 1 day prior to our scheduled move. He was respectful, efficient, professional, and kind during the while process. Most importantly, he was exceptionally communicative, sending us texts and emails to coordinate every last detail before, during, and after our time at Dumbo. He also helped us organize our move in a very timely fashion. Our movers came on the exact day scheduled, and delivered our items on the exactly delivery date we arranged. That is almost unheard of in long-distance moves. Ben is outstanding, and I attribute the smoothness of our complex, long-distance, multistop move to him!
Dumbo movers are excellent and priced very fairly. . We have used them twice in the last 15 months.They are from NY but offer better pricing than local movers in NJ, where we are located.Always courteous , on time and efficient . Angela in the office is a pleasure to work with, too.Not a scratch on any furniture . I highly recommend them!
I’ve moved 3 times in the past two years, I’ve used Dumbo moving every time. They are affordable, professional and do a great job. Most recently I splurged for the packing service and it was worth it. It was wonderful to not live in a sea of boxes for weeks. Everything was packed very well. I have a lot of delicate items such as glassware and picture frames, everything arrived at my new home in one piece.

My daughter scheduled a small move from her apartment to a storage facility. The movers came on time, were friendly and professional and took great care of her belongings. Even though her mattress was wrapped in a waterproof casing, the movers wrapped it to protect it from getting dirty. They shrink wrapped her office chair and other items that had no covering. They were quick and efficient and never complained about anything even though it was a 90 degree day! They even saved me money at the storage place by making everything fit in the tight space that we had rented. There was even a little bit of room left for some small extras! What a great experience! They made what could have been a real stressful situation into a pleasant, rewarding experience. Truly. The number of our movers van was #11 --please do not hesitate to use Dumbo Moving and Storage and ask for the movers in van 11! Thank you Dumbo for knowing how to run a successful business!!!
Carter did a tremendous job helping me set up my move. He was willing to work with me as much as possible to make it as smooth and accessible during a highly stressful time. He did a fantastic job keeping me in the loop as to where my stuff is and when it should be expected to be delivered. The day my stuff came was probably one of the hottest, and the movers even wiped up their sweat from my floor after they finished! Thats service!! I couldnt have asked for a lovelier moving service, and it is worth every penny.
The staff at Dumbo Movers are absolute rock stars! From Dino taking our order and following up to make sure all our items were accounted for to our day of movers who had endless energy moving our 2 Bedroom Apartment. Still in awe of their level is efficiency, speed and professionalism. Simply outstanding!!
Working with Dumbo Moving was an absolute nightmare. They were originally scheduled to arrive between 7-9 am, then rescheduled to 9-11 am and then didnt actually arrive until after 12 pm.They were extremely slow, taking over 6 hours to move our items from the house into the truck. Even after a thorough explanation of the items not to be packed, there was an error. When asked to remove the item, they told us it was too far into the truck already. So when raised with the supervisor, the crew got extremely angry and confrontational.During moving, I happened to examine some of their spare boxes and found a pair of my shoes and two of my jackets. Apparently they went through my boxes and attempted to steal some of my items.Towards the end, they continued to ensure me that everything would fit but then stopped moving additional items so that they could fit their empty boxes in the truck. Now we paid for a 26 ft truck, but part of that was used for their extra packing supplies. As a result, I had additional items I had to move separately the next day.Because we are in between homes, we had to move our items to a storage unit. This part of the move was quick, but after everything was done and we gave them their 20% tip, they then slapped us with a $300 bill for blankets used to wrap some of our furniture. At that point I couldnt disprove the number of blankets used but with only 4 items, I cant possibly believe they used 15 blankets at $20 each.Please do yourself a favor and dont use Dumbo Moving. They will arrive late, work slow, steal your items and Overcharge you.
On both occasions, they arrived promptly, no worrying about whether they would show up. The teams that moved us were professional, courteous, and efficient. Moving into a new house you always worry about damage. But there was no reason to as the skill and expertise showed was faultless. I can be very picky, but I have no hesitation in recommending Dumbo Moving to anyone who is looking for a first-class professional moving company at a decent price.

Dumbo Moving moved us from NYC to Minnesota and we were very happy with the service! Our sales rep Danny was very responsive and patient with my questions throughout, and Bernardo/Truck 76 team were friendly, polite and did an excellent job with all the communication, packing, loading & unloading. Dumbo Moving wasn’t the cheapest quote but they were the only company of the four quotes that we obtained to offer direct door-to-door moving experience so that our stuff wasn’t outsourced to a separate company to be transported on a consolidated load with no definite delivery date. The same team loaded and unloaded our stuff; it was picked up in Brooklyn on Thursday and delivered to Minnesota on Sunday. To us, having confidence that our belongings were in the care of one team and one company was worth the extra cost. Highly recommend!

The team was amazing. Ive lived in my place for last 10 years and have accumulated a lot of stuff. They got the truck loaded in just shy of 3 hrs., which included some packing. I hired Dumbo Moving for my recent move from Brooklyn, NY to Ocala, Florida. Hank was the representative who handled my move and he was thorough, reliable, helpful and friendly.The movers were prompt and careful and my things arrived in the same condition as they left. Dumbo provided me with top notch service at a very fair price. I would definitely use them again if I need to move again in the future.
Truck # 37 did an amazing job! Very efficient, professional, and receptive to my specific requests about fragile boxes. They wrapped our furniture, loaded everything into the truck, drove to the new location, and patiently waited for a parking spot to open up. Then they brought everything into the apartment and placed furniture where we directed. Overall the process was very smooth and the office was also great at communicating details leading up to the move. Super fairly priced (best quote I got, and I shopped around a bit before deciding) and I love that they give guaranteed quotes. Also the rental plastic bins are great-- less waste since I dont need a bunch of cardboard packing boxes around after moving.
Peter, Danilo, and Marco helped us with our big move (2.5 bedroom + dining room). Without a question they were an elite team. Our big pieces and delicate pieces were delicately wrapped with moving blankets. They were able to execute the move flawlessly and honestly Im beyond impressed. Communicating with them was extremely easy and they arrived on time. On top of that they are all solid good people. I cannot recommend Truck 26 enough!
If I can give less than one star, I would! Stay away from this company, I paid for quality service move, they left me and my stuff in the street because they were overbooked. Keep in mind, I was scheduled to move in the morning, but they told be if I can move In the afternoon they would have to cancel my move, and they still left me in the street oh btw, 1850 for the move, their compensation for the inconvenience $200, stay away from this company! High way robbery!!
This was my second time using Dumbo Moving, but my first time with a *big* move. I was moving within Brooklyn, but from an apartment I had lived in for five years, so...I had a good amount of stuff.I would give 5 stars for the movers themselves - super professional, efficient on a hellish moving day in which it seemed like everyone ever was moving in bk, and so strong!Im docking a star for the sales dept and initial reservation. I was advised to rent out a 16 truck, but come moving day....it was nowhere near the right size. We ended up having to do a second trip (and paying an extra $1k - not complaining about that, I think the end cost was very fair for the amount of stuff, and it still would have been a competitive quote compared to other companies). I dont know what we would have done if the movers had another job right after us, but thankfully they were free. But I felt like Edina in sales wanted to lock me in as a customer, vs actually give me an appropriately sized truck. She never asked for a detailed inventory, just had me describe it over the phone.Again I still probably would have chosen Dumbo as I had a previous good experience/the movers themselves were great/their prices are excellent, but it added a lot of extra stress, work for our poor movers, and time to make the two trips, when it could have been avoided up front.
Shota and Irakli did an amazing job at helping me move from UES to Inwood. They were on time, extremely polite and very efficient! Freddy and Alex arrived on time, they were courteous, very organized and efficiently packaged all my items. Furniture that needed disassembling was done and put back together at my new address. Moving 2 different apartments into 1 apartment was done swiftly! Could not have been more happy with the service!! A+
I scheduled a move yesterday from a third floor walk up to a first floor building. The movers insisted that there was an extra charge for the stairs despite it having been noted (and charged) in my receipt. He then said that they’d forgive the extra cost if I tipped them $100. Which sounded like a scam, and was also just dumb because they were going to be tipped that anyways (and they were). They didn’t break any of my dishes which was a relief, but they did mess up some of my boxes, and they also left my mattress on the sidewalk for about 10 minutes while they grabbed other things. They also smoked in the van, despite me telling them I had asthma. At least they rolled the windows down? Anyways, would not recommend them. I used Piece of Cake last time and it was a higher quote ($100 dollar difference), but I guess you get what you pay for.
The movers were excellent. Professional, efficient, and down to business. We chatted a bit about Georgia and their origins. Nice guys! One of the gentleman dissembled the bed and reassembled it in the new apartment with ease. Were very glad to have chosen Dumbo! Honestly.

We have moved a couple of houses before and we know that it takes in a lot of time and physical effort. We were not ready for the exhaustion once again and so came to finalize Dumbo Moving as our movers. Their manager Mark was so considerate and promised to get the job done exactly the way we wanted without any inconveniences. They looked promising and thus we ended up choosing them.
No complaints!! My coordinator Legacy was excellent and always available for my questions and concerns. My movers were amazing! I was so thankful for their help and their low stress level. The entire experience was great! I was stressed out, but everyone was so helpful, that I left it in their hands. Will definitely use them again.
Great moving company. On time and affordable with options for extras and more white glove services. I moved with a one bedroom from an elevator building to a walk up and the guys were quick and had a great attitude the entire time. That in itself helps with all the stress on moving day. I would absolutely use them again for my next move.
Although I ultimately ended up doing a self move I wanted to leave this review because it may help someone else looking for a moving company. Do your research before hiring a moving company. I was new to using moving services and was skeptical because I had heard so many stories of people getting scammed out of their money. I was looking to do a long distance move from New Jersey to Georgia. When I first contacted Aaron at Dumbo, he assured me that theres was the lowest rate you will find in this area. I thought, of course he would say that (eye roll)... We went through the inventory list and he gave me a quote. It was $3,300 dollars. Being new to using moving companies, the sticker shock was real. He offered me a 10% discount which wouldve brought my cost down to $2,970. I accepted. After we hung up the phone I started calling other moving companies to see if he was lying about their prices. Turns out, HE WAS NOT! Dumbo really is the least expensive by far! FlatRate wanted to charge me $5600, Piece of Cake $4600 and Two men and a Truck $9600🤯. I was blown away at the price differences. I can attest to the fact that Dumbo is by far the most economical option for long distance moving and Aaron was very easy to work with. The only reason I didnt go with them is because all things considered, a self move was going to be the best option for me at this time. Otherwise, they wouldve gotten my business hands down. Even when I called to cancel there was no pressure to keep the move. Only an offer to further discount my move to stay with them. I really appreciate Aaron and Dumbo for being so flexible and offering affordable prices. They really are a good group.
Ive moved many times in my life, and this was not the most pleasant.I will say, the team works quickly and were very friendly. BUT...I have a tv that I have owned for a few years now, and it has gone through a few moves, been protected perfectly fine, and has been in great condition. Until now. I paid an additional fee for a tv box that would fit my 75 comfortably and securely. When they arrived, the tv box was not the correct size, so they stood the tv on its side in the box with minimal protection. It is clear that they were not prepared for this move, nor had the proper materials to keep my items safe. I shouldnt have to be concerned with my items being damaged this badly for such a short move.Now, a few days after my move, I go to set up my tv and the entire left side of the screen is yellow/dead. This TV cost me ~$3,500.Their compensation? $100...Absolutely unacceptable. Will not be recommending this service to any of my network.
An excellent group of movers! Ive been storing my belongings at Dumbo Moving for over 2 years and have always been very delighted with their facility. They even compensated me for a broken light. I would strongly suggest this service to anyone who needs to keep their belongings. Excellent service and a fantastic team!
June 6 2022 I called a White Plains moving & storage company. Told me they’d get back to me in thirty minutes. They called back five hours later. After 90 minutes I called Dumbo Movers&Storage. Spoke to Oliver. We made arrangements and solidified an NBC agreement in less than an hour. By 3:00PM three strapping movers arrived from Brooklyn NY to Ramsey NJ in a 40 Ft moving van. Those guys were diligent, methodical, and careful. Nonstop 3 hours.Dumbo Movers&Storage delivered 💯 Surpassed my expectations and my satisfaction. Highly recommended without reservations.

Very good moving experience. Customer service was great from start to finish. Our moving team arrived on time and were respectful of both of the buildings rules and treated our furniture as if it was their own. They also played with our dog and were great in all aspects. We had a tight turnaround between exchange and completion but with only a weeks notice, Sebastian was super helpful and even hired extra vans for us. He delivered boxes to us really quickly so we could get packing, and was super responsive and obliging when we asked for more (twice!). On the day, despite awful rain, Luke and the team worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth and swift departure from our old house. They worked like machines to get the job done and to make it a stress-free experience for us. We had some tricky items such as a piano, to manoeuvre down a narrow glass staircase, but this was no problem for them. We would highly recommend them to anyone moving and looking for friendly and efficient service. Thanks to Dumbo Moving!
We worked with dumbo movers 2 times now and both times were great. This move happened to fall on a huge nor’easter and the movers were on time, positive, and handled all of our stuff safely. Nothing was wet or damaged, even in 6 inches of snow. So impressed. 10/10 would recommend.
I had a 3-man moving crew and they were fantastic! They were punctual, polite and extremely professional! They wrapped all my furniture with blankets, used cardboard support and then all was tightly wrapped with tape. My bedroom furniture is too big for my bedroom but with the guys help we moved some things around and they made it work. I am extremely satisfied. I had a tight budget and this company ( Hank) worked with me to get it within reach financially. I give them an A++

Had to move a few heavy pieces of furniture to a new apartment. Francis was able to set up an appointment for that week and the men were early and very efficient. Within an hour they managed to pack and move everything all while Francis checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly. You get what you pay for and theyre definitely worth every penny. It was mind-boggling to witness their job experience. The move was completed on schedule by these movers. To top it all off, our companys safety manager went on the project site and was amazed at how effectively these guys worked as a team and supported each other when they recognized the need. I moved from NY to Florida. 52 boxes, a king bed and box spring, a mirrored jewelry box and 2 flat screen TVs. Everything arrived in 5 business days. Nothing was broken. Excellent tracking provided to me so I could watch my delivery progress. I would def recommend Dumbo Moving.

I had a great experience with Dumbo for my recent move (our second time with them)! Throughout the set-up process, Brian and the rest of the team were super responsive and helpful in answering all my questions. Their service of providing bins ahead of time (and picking up a week after) is HUGELY helpful and a big reason why we keep coming back - just so convenient. The day of the move, the team showed up right on time and they were efficient/fast. We even had some extra items not in the original quote, but they were quick to address and were able to accommodate without any issue (though required a charge for the extra stuff, understandably). First and foremost, I want to emphasize how reasonable the pricing was for a single mother in need of a fresh start. This was my first long-distance move, so I was nervous, but they made it easy, and the guys that moved me from SD weren’t greedy for a tip. My moving with dumbo was a very pleasant and stress free one. They came on time, loaded my stuff very quickly and safely transported my items across state from NYC to PA. None of my items were damaged and i had quite a few large glass furniture and mirrors. Mario and truck 92 are the complete best! and i would recommend Dumbo to anyone and use their services again. Dumbo movers did a great job with my move! It took about 2.5 hours in total and they were champs moving my stuff into a fifth floor walk up. I will add something to look out for- don’t add a tip online when you prepay & they give you the option to tip in advance! The movers don’t get all of this & I ended up having to tip 20% twice.
Our first choice of movers was Dumbo Moving , whose performance has been highly appreciable. They worked consistently on the packing day and made sure to pack safely, especially fragile items that needed extra care. Their boxes were lined with bubble wrap and foam in case of jerks or bumps on the way. Thankfully, all our goods arrived safely at our new apartment.
Our move was somewhat complicated with three different delivery locations. The authentic moving crew, Mark and Max, were on time, extremely professional, courteous and friendly. Everything was loaded and delivered in perfect condition and the final cost matched the estimate. The price was very reasonable and was almost exactly what I was quoted. If they break it, they wont replace it....They didnt seem to care about the fact that they broke my TV. Apparently when you sign the contract, it comes with some low-grade insurance that only covers .60 cents per lb. My TV was 20lbs. So my insurance only covered $12.00 (.60 x 20)Imagine that? A TV for $12. In your dreams maybe...I asked the people in the claims department to put their human hat on and do what would be fair which is, replace the item entirely. Of course they stuck to what was written in the contract instead. I explained to them that Im no moving specialist and honestly its their job to educate customers on what would be best, even when it comes to insurance packages. They completely ignored that argument.Hopefully this helps! I would not recommend going with Dumbo though because theyre not that concerned with providing the best customer service and experience. And I have a new TV to buy...
Perhaps they’ve changed now. I used them to move into my last apartment. They asked about how many boxes I have. I missed a couple things. And they charged hundreds of dollars extra. They did the same thing to my roommate (we were both moving in from different places, and significantly over paid).This time around I went with an hourly mover. It was more stuff and much cheaper. If you’re highly confident in your ability to enumerate every single item you own weeks before your move, it might be a good deal. Be careful.

My mother-in-law and I recently relocated to NY. Although she didnt have many belongings, other moving firms were offering exorbitant fees. Dumbo Moving offered to combine her belongings at a quarter of the cost of the other service. They arrived on schedule on the day of the relocation and were able to back up a long, extremely steep driveway. They carefully traversed some difficult outdoor steps with her piano, even shrink-wrapping it for safety! They loaded everything fast yet safely and were even able to bring the stuff to the place a day sooner than anticipated. I would certainly suggest them!
In the middle of the pandemic, 2 years ago, I moved out of a home I have been living in for years. I was nervous. This was all new to me. I started searching for a moving company and Dumbo had really great reviews. I didnt have much stuff, as I was starting over and their prices were reasonable. Another company wanted to charge me twice as much to move me 15 minutes away from my previous location.I called Dumbo and spoke to Bruce over the phone and he made me feel comfortable with the move, the price and the service.A couple of months ago, I moved again to a bigger place even further away and emailed Bruce with my move out date and asked if he could accommodate me. Now a year later I had much more stuff, I had only given him a week notice and once again the price and service could not be beat. I still have to move the rest of my stuff out of a storage unit from my first move and my guy Bruce will be the first person I contact. I highly recommend Bruce and the team at Dumbo. They provided all the necessary COI insurance paperwork for both buildings and the moves were seamless! Truck 42 came and moved over 50 boxes and 15 duffel bags of clothing with care and wrapped all the furniture and transported it in blankets and dismantled and moved heavy adjustable beds. Nothing was damaged!Tip well, these guys are consummate professionals that know what they are doing! Also when I reached out for the second time, they said repeat customers get a discount! So win-win for everyone!

100% satisfied with my delivery! My driver communicated with me a day before delivery and was punctual. They finished my move in a little under 2 hours (I had a studio worth of property) and everything was in the same shape from when I packed it. Used this carrier to move from NY to FL.Very professional, the price quoted is the price paid, I was quoted for 300 cu.ft and successfully fit into that dimension. I made sure to box everything very well before the pick up. There was a slight hiccup and my stuff was picked up and delivered on two different occasions because the truck that was supposed to pick up broke down and another team did the pick up and didnt have enough space for some items. Nothing is lost, nothing is damaged, they were very helpful. The pick up and delivery teams were very helpful and professional. The company provided tracking information and I was contacted by the driver ~24 hours & ~1 hour before the delivery. Great service, great people, VERY reasonable pricing.Definitely recommend. 5+

The move went smoothly, they were careful with our items, and delivered everything on time as they promised. I called them up on Monday, they were at our house Tuesday, and all was completed by mid-day Wednesday. The only complaint I have is that they were early. I just wasnt ready for the, but they were fantastic. Very quick with the move. I was prepared for at least 4 hours of moving, since thats how long the move in took. 2 hours and 16 minutes these gentlemen took to move me, and they were professional and courteous. I have already recommend them to another friend of mine that is moving soon. I reccomend them to anyone. Truck 41 was awesome!
I have never experienced a move on my own and this was a first. It was definitely a new experience and I’m not going to lie, it was very tiring and time consuming. Honestly, I first heard mixed reviews about this company. Their quote for our 1br move was significantly cheaper than most other company quotes so we were cautious.Im so glad we moved with them. The day of the move, Carlos and Andres came early, were polite and super fast. They packed all of our things in record time (2 hours) and were off to the new apartment where they unpacked in less than 2 hours. Everything was in great condition and they did all the heavy lifting and moved the furniture into the correct rooms. These guys were worth every penny.

I love these movers!!! I have moved 10+ times in NYC and have used several different moving companies. Dumbo Moving has been my mover of choice for my last three moves, and Im about to use them again. Theyve always been on time, courteous, and easy to work with. The pricing is very reasonable! And in three moves, nothing has ever broken - shocking, because some of the furniture was IKEA. I wholeheartedly recommend and trust these people. Also, I just found out that they have a PriceByTruck model, where you can stop worrying about the exact inventory and just pay based on the size of truck you need. Freaking amazing!!!

We hired them for a move within the state. It was a time bound operation as were given a specific slot to move out of our apartment. They came in, moved our belongings quickly, wrapped mattresses neatly and brought it to our new home. Moved boxes as per our need and set up our couches. Reasonable price. Would recommend
This was my BEST experience with a moving service! I got a confirmation call the night before, and the next day, everything went super smoothly. James and his partner arrived on the earlier side of the time frame, and immediately, I felt at ease. Everything was perfectly wrapped and protected. They worked quickly, yet they were SO careful with my furniture. When we arrived at the location, unloading was a breeze, and they arranged all the furniture and even put the legs back on one of my tables. Thanks for the help!
I cant say enough good things about my recent house move with Dumbo moving. I had some fears given that last year I used another company that ripped me off and wasted my time, and I found out too late that they had terrible reviews on Yelp.With Dumbo - from the beginning, the experience with the sales was great, Matt (the manager) managed to alleviate my fears by offering fair terms, and Jay was very flexible in identifying parts of the service that were not needed in order to substantially reduce costs where was possible. They ended up with a very competitive quote. That was mostly because they sized the job properly and sent a crew that was the right size for the job (unlike other moving companies where you end up paying for an oversized crew).Then came the move. The 2 guys came (Tedor and Zurab, Truck 29), with a big smile, which they kept in spite of the extremely adverse conditions. They came while a storm warning was active. These 2 guys managed to carry all my stuff in spite of a half foot of snow, 15 degrees outside, and some snow occasionally blowing - and without ruining the building and the apartment. They even shoveled the snow to create a path for themselves.One of the things I appreciated as well is that they did not resort to what many movers often do, i.e. increasing your stress level by telling you that theres way too much stuff, that its going to be hard to get it done on time, that its not going to fit in the truck, or that its going to cost extra. Ive seen that on many occasions, and with Dumbo, the guys were relaxed all throughout, knew that theyll be able to handle it, did not complain, and made sure they did not add more stress that there already was.I ended up being ecstatic given how fast they accomplished the move, got rid of the few extra boxes that they brought with them, and I gave them the biggest tip Ive ever given in my life.I will definitely call Dumbo again next time I need to move, and will recommend it to my friends.
These guys are amazing. They were earlier than scheduled, and there were terrible road closures in the area, but they were calm and worked with me to find a safe location. They were quick with the move (but very safe, professional, and careful). We had three guys’ help us, and they were all super friendly and charming people. We would recommend it!
I recently moved from TX to NY and used Dumbo Moving. When I called them the agent Max asked for an inventory of all my stuff and based on that he said I would need only 9 feet of space. He said the truck will come to my house and be there for 3 business days to load. The truck came on time and they and left on time. The customer service agent Mark was very helpful in tracking my truck. They said the truck will arrive NY in 7-9 business days and it did arrive in 7 business days. All my things came without any damage. I am really please with their service.
If I can rate DUMBO a zero I would. THEY SCAM PEOPLE!! Recently moved. Worse moving experience of my life- and Ive moved a few times!! They only sent 2 movers for a huge job - they complained the whole time! Damaged my things!!The sales rep that I initially worked with was unreachable - think he got fired after my move! The day of my move I was quoted another rate (over $1000++) on top of what I had already paid!- the second rep claimed the initial person gave me the wrong quote. It was a nightmare!! I can go on and on!! ZERO RATING!!

After hearing me out, Matt offered a partial refund to compensate my experience. As a third time customer of Dumbo Moving, I feel they really care about my experience and taking their reputation seriously. They are trying their best to right a wrong. I feel I can trust them and will come back for my future moves. ]--------It took me a while to write this review because I want to wait until Im calm. I had a great experience with Dumbo back in Sep 2021, so I booked a cross-country move with them. Cross-country move is expensive, 2000 - 2500 is my quote for a 400 sqft studio with bare minimum furniture, some company comes with 90 days free storage, so as consumers we really need to ask what does the price include.Dumbo gave me a good price around $2100, moving only, no storage. There was a few back and forth with the sales since they overestimated my items and quoted me higher. Overall, experience with sales is fair.There were a few things that mainly disappointed me:1. the mover told me there is a mandatory 10% tip for cross-country moves, so $200 in my case. I asked if they will be driving my stuff all the way to the west coast, they said no, it will be delivered by a few drivers, and i can choose if i want to tip the drivers/movers on the other end. I tipped them $200 but when the office called me for follow-ups, I learned that there is NO such thing mandatory tip rule, we can tip the movers based on their service. A regular studio move, everything done within 2 hours and they hand off to their coworkers. I think its fair to tip them 20% for an easy 2 hour studio move, not $200.Im happy to tip a good service and I have with the Dumbo movers in the past, but this time I feel tricked. Its the dishonesty that puts a bad taste. The mover even told me he wants to do office job not the field work. This should be a big red flag.2. So I guess I shouldnt be surprised that the mover also didnt wrap the corners of my Fully standing desk, so it was chipped. Itll be so wasteful to order a new one but now i will be reminded every day that my desk is damaged.3. They also lost my TV power cord.I count myself lucky because there is no major damages or loss items, but I also only had 4 pieces of furniture. But the fact that I bothered to pack and bring everything with me from east coast to west coast is because they are valuable to me, and each one of them comes with memories. I know moving is a tough business but please, be honest, and pay a little attention to the details. Chipped corners can be easily avoided.
We were very pleased with the service. They delivered our furniture ahead of schedule. The only negative was the movers were annoyed at the tip. It was a generous tip. The manager called and said they recommend a certain percentage for each mover. The amount was outrageous. Other then that the service was excellent.
We employed Dumbo Moving for our companys good transport. They worked on a few occasions. They are quick to answer and simple to deal with, have excellent customer service, and the containers are precisely what we wanted! And we have plans to work with them again in the future. Wed never go somewhere else!
The representatives I dealt with were Sean and Mia. They were both fantastic and helpful throughout the whole process. After reading all the negative reviews online I actually got scared enough to back out of my reservation, but Sean+Mia promised a hassle-free move so I continued on.I booked them to move a 1bd - which consisted of about 15 boxes and a bunch of other furniture, including an expensive painting that they made sure to take extra caution with. I booked for the day of the blizzard hitting the northeast (1/29/2022). All 3 movers that showed up powered through it and did It fast! They were friendly and respectful.Would definitely use again. Don’t believe the bad reviews. It’s mostly people trying to get a discount or not reading the contract properly.
Prompt, reliable, and pleasant to deal with. They were the third team I had to employ, and they had a difficult job. The first two were ineligible or unable to complete the relocation, which included a large piano. Jonathan and his crew were extremely professional and meticulous in their handling of our possessions. This companys excellent service is something I would strongly suggest!
Just finished our 5th move with Dumbo. Their price was less than most other movers in NYC and they were easy to deal with both online and over the phone. On the day of the move, the movers (Crew 36) showed up right on time (actually early) and went right to work. They worked efficiently and everything was wrapped well and arrived unharmed. The move took longer than they planned but they never complained or rushed. At our new apartment they asked us where we wanted each item placed and even moved some items when we changed our minds. Very high recommendation for Dumbo and Crew 36.
This is the second move they’ve done for me and it was a great experience. The movers are always helpful, on time, and really hard-working. They packed up my apartment and moved me from Brooklyn to Jersey City smoothly. Will definitely use again if I move within the area :).

Hands down one of the best services. I had to move bedroom set and had short notice to do that. Mr Ron at dumbo moving made the whole process very quick, easy and affordable for me. I would highly recommend this team to anyone moving home. From the outset, Jackson was extremely professional and was on hand to provide us with as many boxes and packing materials we required prior to our move. On an actual day, the team arrived on time and efficiently had everything loaded in perfect time for our completion. Everything was in perfect condition when unpacked and the team even went the extra mile helping us put our beds up.
I had a delivery of fake flowers, glass decorations and candles for every table at my wedding. Since they did not provide delivery, I had to pick it up myself, but it was a lot of bulk to be carried at the venue. Everything was packed securely, so we just got a moving van from Dumbo Moving and Storage NYC and they delivered it all to the venue and even helped set it up on each table. All the packing material was also removed and discarded by them. They have been a great help!
I had a frozen shoulder and was unable to carry out the heavy boxes. Due to unfortunate circumstances, I had to hire Dumbo Moving and Storage NYC which proved to be a great companion. Their whole crew was fit and energetic and took to their heels to work tirelessly and got the packing done. The moving trucks were also very spacious for all my stuff to fit.
My moving experience was great! My moving helper Packed my things very carefully and moved them to my new apartment with care. He made this process less stressful for me and kept in contact with me every step of the way. Thank you Dumbo moving!
Do not use this company! They are crooks and amateurs! We had the most unprofessional crew ever. They were slow, did not have a clue how to pack a furniture and did not care at all. We moved from a 3 bedroom apartment literally across the street into the 2 bedroom apartment. The move took 14 hours and cost $3,850. The movers were unable to fit the same furniture that fit into the same truck last year (into the biggest 26ft truck). We had to get another moving company last minute to move the rest of the stuff the next day. Some of the furniture is broken and some is scratched. Some furniture is not put together the way it was. The manager, Luca, said I’m not the first or last customer they have and couldn’t care less. They like to bill per hour, so they give you a 6 hour window and it becomes indefinite and you are left with no choice but to pay some insane amount for the worst service with damages.
The movers came right on time and worked quickly and efficiently without any issue. They moved our stuff down from a third floor walk up and took care to wrap all our furniture and ensure that nothing was damaged. We will be using them again in a couple weeks when we move into our new home!
I closed a business and had to move some things from there to my home. John and Max made my move, and they were friendly, professional and efficient. They provided me with an excellent experience. I was hoping to have the move done within the two-hour minimum, and they accomplished that easily. I highly appreciate their service!
This is the second time we have used these movers and wouldnt use anyone else. One word commonly used in all reviews is professional and all their team is. Add in personable, efficient, polite, helpful, affordable, and careful and you have the perfect moving company. If you need to move do yourselves a favor hire Dumbo Moving. House moving is stressful enough so remove one element of the stress from your move.
Initially I was alarmed by the old reviews posted on Google, but I thought I would give them a chance given I got a really good rate with them. They showed up on time at 9 o’clock and carefully wrapped up my queen sized bed, dining table and started loading for 2 hours. After we arrived at the new place, they finished everything before they leave including helping me set up furnitures, Mount a TV, connect electricity etc. The service can’t be more attentive and professional. I gave a generous tip afterwards. The manager called to check in on the work quality and progress a couple of times during the day. They take their business seriously. I will choose Dumbo Moving again.
Dumbo went above and beyond storing, transporting, and delivering inventory for an initiative I was working on with NYCFC. The delivery locations were not the easiest to navigate, but Dumbo made it work with ease and was extraordinarily helpful in making sure we had everything ready and set up in time. Would 100% recommend every time for any moving or transporting needs!

Day of the estimate, Callen was on time and very professional. He gave me the lowdown, and I felt comfortable that his quote was accurate. The moving men were on time and got to work right away on the move day. They wrapped everything I was happy to see because I didnt want any of my furniture dinged/scratched. I highly endorse and will use Dumbo Moving again in the future.
My brother needed help moving from his apartment on a very short term notice. Dumbo movers answered my request immediately and gave us a reasonable quote. The movers showed up on time, loaded all his stuff and unleaded in less than two hours. My brother was pleased with them and how responsive they were. Had a great experience with Peter and Danilo (truck 25) helping me move! They worked at lightening speed and wrapped up all of my furniture so that everything would be protected. They were both lovely to work with and would recommend the company for your next move!
Cannot recommend these guys highly enough. They made the whole experience a painless one. They were all very efficient, polite, and friendly. We got 3 separate quotes and they were the cheapest but the service was first class.Sonny was very helpful and friendly and they were very accommodating when we thought we might have to change the moving date, luckily we didnt. My two bedroom house was moved in less than four hours, including the drive time. They placed the important things, like my bed and other big items where I wanted them, and didnt waste time with the smaller stuff that I could place myself. I was impressed. Mike followed up professionally and I was completely satisfied.

Dumbo moved us from a ground floor house into a 5 story walk up. Despite the stairs being a challenge I had a piano I wanted moved. When the movers arrived they were polite but immediately called dispatch who insisted on charging us more money because we had more boxes than on our list. Once we agreed to tip then 20% they took our stuff. The team leader was doubtful the piano would fit up the stairwell.By the time we were finished with the move the only thing left on the truck was my piano. After some discussion I agreed the piano probably wouldn’t fit so they left. I was left exhausted and stressed and then I had to find a place for them to leave the piano. The next day I found a venue and it was adopted. Dumbo took $250 off the total but the move was twice their original quote. I liked the team and the dispatch always had a professional manner but they clearly are at odds and I think the workers deserve to be better informed about their jobs. A month later I found a new piano and set up another appointment with Dumbo. This team was just as upset about the stairs and I was once again forced into paying more $ before they’d move it. For the second time the concept of the stairwell was an issue and I could tell the movers were not prepared for such a hard job. It’s too bad there isn’t better communication within this company because they are good people.

We had a great experience with our movers (truck 56, Levan team.) They were very quick and made sure all of our things we’re safe and protected throughout the whole move. Leo was a great foreman and we were really impressed with his team and their kindness.
You should never use this company. I have used Dumbo for my last 3 moves over the last 7 years and each use has shown severe deterioration in the quality of their moving and customer service. The most recent experience in April of 2022 has been extremely disappointing. Not only did Dumbo cause significant damage to my building’s floorboards but they also damaged the hallways in the building we just moved into. The damages to the floorboards are more than $2,900 and the damages to the hallway put the damage bill from using these guys well into the multi-thousand dollar range. (And guess what - they will not cover a cent of it, so any damage from using this company will come directly out of your pocket, despite COIs for both buildings, insurance and irrefutable evidence proving Dumbo’s recklessness).When I used them in 2020 they also damaged my West Elm bookcase which cost a few hundred dollars. In each time using Dumbo the movers are very aggressive and demand excessive tips throughout the move, despite being late every time, taking ~2x longer than the allotted time to move in and out of respective buildings and causing significant damage to your belongings and property.Most of all I have found the militaristic style of Dumbo’s customer service and claims process to be very disappointing and offensive. Despite irrefutable evidence from security camera footage before the move and photographs after the move showing the $2,900 in damages Dumbo will never admit their mistakes. Dumbo Moving are dishonest and do not treat their customers with any respect at all and fight and argue with them to the death. All staff would benefit from proper customer service training and investment.I will never recommend Dumbo Moving to anyone and will never use their services again. Avoid this company like the plague. (Note to Google, please allow the option for a 0 star submission!!).

I knew exactly where everything should go when they came. When they put the foliage pot on my dining room table, I noticed it wasnt quite sitting right, and after they looked into it. They addressed the issue, and the leaf now fits perfectly. They secured the headboard to the bed, the mirror to the dresser, and the shelves to my bookcase. They were quite polite. When it came time to pay, the price was equal to the estimate I had been given, confirming for me that I had made the right decision.
Dumbo has helped me move twice recently and you can’t find a nicer, more diligent and careful bunch of guys. The administrative side of things has always been effortless and efficient, and the guys on the ground have been the best. Have zero complaints, will definitely use again and 100% recommend.
I recently used this company to move. They were very accommodating with negotiable prices, which is sooo important during these difficult times. The move including two stops before the final destination. The movers were polite and fast. They wore masks throughout the entire move. I was a bit skeptical of moving certain items like my flat screen tvs without boxes but they wrap/pack things so well that most items were received in their original quality-- one wooden table with a light scratch. I gave them a 20% tip after the job was done and it seemed like they werent even expecting it. From online reads, customary tip is 10-20% of the entire moving quote, but I would give move if I could. Would definitely recommend and use again in the future.
The only movers you need!I wasn’t planning on moving apartments, but all of a sudden found myself needing movers, and in a very short timeframe. I knew of Dumbo Moving from a prior connection and I called them right away. They got back to me in a timely manner—which was much appreciated considering how limited I was on time—and went through all the details of my move with me. The price was great and they were able to accommodate the timeline I was working with. It snowed on the day of the move, but the crew still arrived on time, worked diligently, and were extremely professional. They worked with me to make sure everything was where I wanted it at the new place. I would highly recommend Dumbo Moving to anyone needing movers. Dumbo movers is an absolute joke. We hired movers to get us from our apartment to a storage facility and it turned out to be a terrible, infuriating experience. Booking the move was easy and Bruce was fantastic with getting us set up. The movers were lovely people, but they clearly had no interest or experience in moving. I would not call this a professional moving service when the three movers are throwing your things, putting fragile items underneath heavy boxes, and packing the moving van for an hour long drive with recklessness. The movers and i left at the same time for the storage facility yet they inexplicably showed up AN HOUR AND A HALF after we did. We sat there for an hour calling and texting them to no avail. There was no mistake in the address, they just decided to do other things in the middle of our move. Once they finally arrived late, they started tossing our fragile items out of the truck and quite literally throwing our furniture into the storage unit. No organization, no carefulness. There was a clearly marked fragile mirror sitting underneath our couch. Our chairs were thrown onto our tv. We got so frustrated we asked them to just leave our items on the side of the storage, which they did with 50 pound boxes on top of our fragile kitchen items. My partner and I spent 1 hour repacking the storage unit after waiting an 1.5 hours for our things, and were charged a late fee for our car rental. After expressing the outrageous experience to the feedback email at Dumbo, they offered us 100 dollars off our 1,000 dollar move “to keep us a satisfied customer”. Then had the audacity to ask us tor a review of our “successful move”.Absurd and outrageous. I would never ever use this service again and I would NOT recommend. You are better off using task rabbit movers for the price and awful experience. This company made an already stressful moving situation incredibly more difficult and they do not deserve my money or yours
They are Dumbo Moving A-team, and they are the greatest! They finished their work on schedule and under budget. Johnny calmly and thoroughly described everything on the bill. Romeo took considerable care and forethought while loading to ensure that there was no spare room in either Pod!
Compared to my previous atrocious moving experience with Executive Van Lines - Florida, Dumbo Moving were succinct in their promise to deliver my merchandise in a safe and efficient manner, which was carried out during a busy time of the year (Cinco de Mayo, 2022). Zen was kind and understanding through the entirety of the process and this company is a no-frills company - the initial price they gave was the final price I paid (for moving a studio apartment to Texas from NJ). None of my merchandise was tampered with but in fact protected heavily with thick sheets to ensure no damage incurred. The best moving company I have ever encountered and will be sure to make use of them again and again.

I’ve moved twice now with Dumbo Moving and I’ve never had an easier moving experience! The people who helped coordinate our move were responsive when I was requesting initial quotes and helpful in ensuring I was getting a fair price.I initially moved my things into storage at the beginning of COVID and they were able to do a basically contactless pick up. In addition, they stored my things and gave me regular updates and answered all my questions while it was in storage for two years.When I was finally ready to have my goods delivered, the driver provided texting updates and took less than 20 minutes to have my things dropped off in our elevator building.I highly recommend!! Nyc makes it so hard to trust companies but I was recommended Dumbo by a coworker who moved to CA and have been recommending them ever since.

We had an amazing experience with Levan and his crew on Truck 56. He brought 3 extra guys for training purposes and we had 6 ppl helping with the move for no extra fee. They communicated well, were very accommodating in wrapping our furniture, and none of our furniture was damaged. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I moved from Arizona to NYC. Everything about getting our things from point A to point B was an absolute nightmare, as we went with a different company for the actual move. However, Dumbo came through moving things from our storage to the apartment. They were quick and efficient and kind and absolutely lovely. They brought everything including my couch up 3 flights of stairs. Im disabled and couldnt have done it without them.
Terrible experience. I dont know when my move was subcontracted to this group so ended delivering. Missing all of my ladders worth several hundred each. Damaged walls... only brought in my bed. Holes in wall... so much damage. All boxes left in my garage since the movers were too tired. Everything smells like mold.

2022-06-05I used Dumbo to move from my house to my apartment and couldn’t be happier with my experience. I have never moved out of a house before so I wasn’t sure how difficult it was going to be. Armin, Richy, and Angel were my movers and they made it very easy. When I gave the dispatcher my initial amount of items I estimated and was given a very low quote. When they get to your home and start putting your things on the truck you start to realize how many things you actually missed. They offer the option to add items as they are packing which is great (at a cost of course but the price was reasonable). All said and done, I filled their 2,000 cubic truck to the brim and their price was roughly 2200 without tip. I had an 80 inch tv, two bedroom sets, a living room set, about 50 totes and 50 boxes, and plenty of other miscellaneous items. I considered their price very reasonable considering the quantity of items I had to move and the amount of time these guys put in. They dissembled all of my furniture, covered it carefully, moved it safely, and reassemble

2022-05-31I had a STRESS FREE and smooth move with Dumbo moving. They moved my things from my apartment to my storage. I had 3 guys (truck 52) and they communicated with me the whole time and they didnt stress me out at all. They were efficient, reliable, quick and nice. This is my second time using Dumbo Moving and Walter was the one I booked with. He had great communication skills and made me feel secure in the service I was paying for. I would recommend using them for your moving purposes. Ask for Walter to set you up and Truck 52. My move took 3 hours and 39min in total. Great timing!

2022-07-16Hired because they gave us a decent rate compared to most movers. Immediately increased the price by $400 when they saw the furniture, even though we had given detailed descriptions of what everything was and had their prior agreement in writing. To top it off, my linen headboard is covered with dirt that wont come out and the movers broken down a $500 wardrobe into pieces with the promise they would reassemble it - its now precariously leaning in the corner of my living room with the doors screwed on upside-down, propped up with boxes of books because if you literally breathe on it the wrong way it will collapse. They offered $50 to help replace it (????) or to send the exact same team out a month later to fix it........ 0/10 do not recommend. 2021-12-29Dumbo Moving came highly recommended through Google Maps, and also via a friend, so I took a $2k+ chance ($1k move out, a few hundred in storage costs, and $1k delivery) because I needed a company I could trust. I had my things moved out and into their temporary storage, and then yesterday I had the things delivered to my new apartment and this is how they were delivered. The office has worked hard to offer reparations for the crushed boxes, so: 4 stars for the office, 2 stars for the hit or miss actual movers.

2022-06-30Ever wondering why you called one company, but another mover comes because the company you called is just a middle man? Have you ever used a cheaper company, when something happened, they don’t even have legit insurance? Don’t wasting you money and time, starting to use Dumbo moving! They have their own trucks(tons of them), legit insurance, even supervisor on site to make sure everything goes smoothly. Special thanks to my 2 great movers who from Montenegro, the best!

2022-07-02Moving day is always stressful, so I’m trying hard not to be over dramatic. My husband and I have been married for seven years and have moved six times. We have had the same furniture for most of it and this has been far the worst experience. The morning started by the movers showing up two hours early, while we were still in bed. The truck they brought was too small. They prioritized boxes over our major pieces of furniture. Not everything fit and major pieces that were on our list are now still at our apartment and we have to higher new movers and a new truck to get them out before our lease is up. In order for Dumbo to finish their job the next day, they were going to charge us an additional $1,000. They did not properly wrap our white Pottery Barn couch and proceeded to drag it through the dirt, so that’s forever ruined. They also scratched one of our metal beds and left half of the shelving unit at the apartment and brought the other half to the house. They were in a rush for their next job and did not reassemble the beds. They didn’t place furniture and boxes where we asked them to, so we have a lot of moving around within the house to do. Being 26 weeks pregnant, that’s going to be very difficult. We were notified by our landlord that there was property damage. As much as I want this very stressful day to be over, it will now be carrying into tomorrow and the rest of the weekend.

2022-01-14Team/truck 20 did great work. They were fast, dilegent and made sure that everything was secure so that nothing was damaged. They brought all of the boxes and furniture down from the 3rd floor of an apartment building, packed the truck, drove 40 minutes, unpacked everything and put the items where we wanted them. Aside from the driving it took them 1.5 hours to collect and drop off everything.

2022-06-27The movers were on time and showed consideration for the safety of my belongings. However, there could have been less noise when unloading the furniture in the apartment. In addition, my dining table suffered obvious abrasions. They could have been more careful when handling my furniture. Furthermore, the scheduling was inconsistent that included last-minute changes. When packing, the mattress cover did not look clean. The claim process seemed convoluted. Overall, some of their actions showed lack of respect and sincerity. The service could have been better to be worth the price.

2022-03-16Dumbo Moving made our move a very easy, stress-free day. They provided us with lots of boxes, some medium and large, I found I was a couple short so I gave them a call and a few more were brought along on the day for the last bits and pieces. Kellen was especially efficient and helpful. They arrived on time and had all our belongings in the back of the lorry very quickly and safely. When we arrived at our new address everything was unpacked and put in all the correct rooms. We have already recommended Dumbo Moving to friends of ours.

2022-04-13These guys are the real deal movers. You cannot beat their price point, and the quality of work they do for the price they charge is unbeatable. The two gentlemen took such great care of all my furniture. They were quick, used a lot of precaution, and had immense attention to detail with every item they moved. They have excellent communication, no hidden fees, and went above and beyond on a moving day. Not one thing was damaged. They handled everything like it was priceless. The owner always kept in contact, and I am very grateful.
