Dwyer Memorial Park in Preble
This place is beautiful!! My little girls absolutely love it here they can swim/play in the stream and catch crawfish and frogs. Also a great place to take a nice walk in nature. The playground is fun. Great place for grilling out in the summer or anytime really. All and all we love this place and visit it 3 to 4 times a week. Also it is a theater for plays and such. AND 4th of July fireworks are one of the best shows ever, great times to be had
Great outdoor concert venue, but Id only give it a 3!! Only 2 port-a-pottys for almost 150 vehicles, with multiple people in each!!!Come on they were pretty full when we got there!! Over flowing later from what I heard!Would come back again from Buffalo, but yall have to do something about the toilet problem.I heard there were other bathrooms but dont know where. Will come back to check out the rest of the park another time.
I love it here. As a kid we would come here catch crayfish, build little dams, picnic — now I bring my kids and they love it just as much. When theres not a pandemic, theres the simplest little 2 foot deep pool (lifeguarded), people also launch canoes and bring their dogs to swim. Theres a playground area, baseball field, kinda run down basketball hoops and tons of picnic tables but we mostly play in the crick the whole time
Very nice family Park. Lots of picnic tables to eat at with BBQ grills close by. Once everything opens after this COVID closure, there are pavilions and public bathrooms for larger parties and events. There are nice areas to walk or ride bikes thru the park as well as play areas and swing sets for the kids. There is a softball field, horseshoe pits, and boating facilities.
This is such a beautiful gem! Ive never been to this park before but a photographer recommended it for family photos. It is beautiful with all different landscapes from open field to lakes and everything in between. Awesome place for photos or picnics for sure! Photo courtesy of Beth Boline Photography.
My husband and I just drove through this lovely little park the other day on our Sunday drive. We have been to this park several times over the years but only in the Fall for a car show. This is the first time we visited in the summer and we discovered how lovely a park it is. There are lots of places to get down by the water and they have lots of picnicing areas all over the park. There is also a nice playground area for kids. This park offers lots of shaded areas as well as open field areas for some ball playing, frisbee throwing, or whatever else you want to do. We discovered areas that look like they could be used for camping if you follow the park road to the right. It goes quite a ways down into the woods and can be muddy after it rains, but there are some beautiful spots down in there, and some are close to the water. The only bad thing we found was that the highway is just on the other side of a line of trees and the noise can be annoying at times. Pets are welcome as long as you clean up after them and they are on leashes.

2022-05-17I absolutely love this place!! Ive gone here countless times since I was even a baby. The trails are easy and well kept, they have a playground for the kids and down near the stream theres picnic tables and grills for familys to eat and relax where the water is shallow enough for small children to swim and play

2022-06-30Charming and somewhat nostalgic spot to visit in the summer. We were there to see a play on a Wednesday evening. The venue provided an intimate viewing...which we loved. Snacks and beverages were offered on the large wrap around porch on the second level. There was an elevator for those not wishing to climb the stairs. We hope to return.

2022-06-20We went to Dwyer park yesterday for a Father’s Day picnic. We got there about 10:30 in the morning. We picked our spot to have are picnic. There were plenty of tables and a fireplace grill to do our grilling. We used the bathrooms and they were clean and had plenty of toilet paper and water and a air dryer to wash your hands. When we went to use the bathrooms again around 1:00 they were locked and no one could use them. There was a lot of people there but no bathrooms to be used! Why would you close the bathrooms in the busiest time of the day?Lovely park, playground for kids, a small swimming area, hiking and plenty of grilles and picnic tables but no bathrooms to use.

2021-10-24I truly love Dwyer memorial Park for various reasons since I was a child it used to be aimed at children and families having amusement rides animals food and large picnic areas all overlooking the lake. Now it is the home of Cortland repertory theater a wonderful place to see plays in a comfy homelike theater. It has accommodations for the handicap inside and out. The building itself is historic serving the community for many yearsIts certainly is a beautiful place to attend.

2021-10-30One of the best and most diverse parks in the immediate area. Dwyer park offers areas for hiking , picnics, fishing, playground, basketball courts , water sports , natural areas , pavilions & grills for events. This park is also the original home of the Cortland Repertory Theater& the many wonderful shows it puts on every year in the charming little theater. I could go on and on .. this park is easy to underestimate but .. it has so much goodness to offer !
