The overlook is small, two benches next to a parking lot, but the views are great and the direction it faces over the river is the perfect place to watch the sunset in the early fall months. A great place to relax and clear your mind!

Dreary grey day but a great starting point for a walk along the West River Trail. Good parking, a canoe/kayak launch, hand sanitizing station, and portable toilet.

This is a nice place to launch a kayak but be prepared for a small hill to walk down before reaching river. Water is shallow and mucky at the launch point. Once launched, a ride to the north along the shore line will take you towards Buckhorn State Park’s farthest point where you can see the Mist from the falls and challenge the current a bit. Excellent wildlife viewing among the way.

A small parking area on the north end of Grand Island NY.It has 2 benches for relaxing and a place to launch kayaks.I never saw any eagles here, but a relaxing place to sit quietly by the river and enjoy the views.Plenty of other types of birds to enjoy.

Peaceful place, good for meditating & bird watching. Canoe launch available. Trail on the northern side leading to Buckhorn. Fishing along the trail. Wildlife abundant. No restrooms😒

Very easy short hike in to the marsh area. Great views of Canadian skyline and navy island.
