Was strolling in East Williamsburg with my friends with the intentions to go do a little shopping in an urban outfitters I came across East Hae where I met Andrew G, Andrew A and my man Angel. They greeted us with great hospitality and open arms with a great music to match. We had the opportunity to try some amazing cocktails curated by the bartender and I must say that there is no reason to not come back. I’m only in town for a little while but when I am back in New York this is the first place I visit. Best manhattan I’ve had in a while and my friends ordered 3 Sae Brambles each.
Pleasant surprise to find this new Korean fusion restaurant in the neighborhood. Tried it on a Friday evening and had a great experience. The preseco was bubbly, the food was delicious and service very attentive. Cedric, one of the manager, stopped by to ask for feedback and the waitresses were efficient. Ordered raw oysters, grilled octopus, chicken wings and maitake mushroom. Main dish was the fries chicken sando. The sando was stacked so high we had to remove a layer of fried chicken to be able to fit in our mouth. Highly recommended. They are right above the Urban Outfitters.
Look at all these fake reviews. Lol. You cannot deceive us with your fake posts. This place is straight up garbage 🗑. Drinks are water down and food portion is so small and not tasty. Chicken wings are not even cooked and they serve it to you 🤷. Never go to this place.ZERO STARS. 1 post states Waiting for food for 45mins and it still didnt come unbelievable. What kind a place is this? ZOO
I happened upon East Hae Sunday night while visiting Brooklyn and decided to eat there when I saw they had a rooftop view. What a delightful experience! Great ambiance, music was awesome and not too loud. The food was excellent! I had the fried squid and short rib burger😋.Above all, the staff and manger were so friendly! I enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back when I am in town.
Amazing food and drinks, chill rooftop vibe, spaced out nicely during the pandemic. Loved the French fries served with kimchi aioli and the kimchi nachos, both are very creative twists on kimchi that work beautifully. The beef Po boy and the spicy beef short ribs bring the Asian flavors home. The House drinks have good flavors but could use less sugar, however, still a very tasty menu and fun atmosphere, would highly recommend it!
Wonderful staff, great ambiance, gorgeous rooftop, but of course the highlight was the food. Do not miss the fried chicken. I don’t usually like fried chicken and this bird was so good I nearly cried. Calamari, mackerel (very generous portion for an appetizer), fries and pork belly were all superb.
Was originally a guest here before covid and was excited to see it Wass able to re-open and still had a lot of the same staff. the food menu was completely different then before. I wish they still had the oysters and the old octopus. the roof was busy but felt safe and our waitress was amazing. we ended up staying way longer than expected and missed a reservation at another place. 10 for 10 would recommend the wings!!! great music and atmosphere
Came here for my roommate’s birthday. Ordered bulgogi nachos, kimchi fried rice, and a glass of wine each.No real atmosphere to speak of. It’s kind of feels like a shed with chairs and tables. The bulgogi nachos had scraps of bulgogi randomly throughout, not consistent. Don’t know how they cooked their kimchi fried rice but it didn’t taste right.Service was meh. No one really cared and it took forever to get a check. It feels like a bar that just decided to add food so they could open.
The rooftop is a great experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is great. Unfortunately, it was a little bit expensive for the amount of food. I got the octopus, which was delicious, but unfortunately a very small portion for the price. I would recommend for the experience, but be prepared to overpay for small portions.
Loved this restaurant!! Glad to have found this local restaurant near me in Williamsburg while searching online for new restaurants in Brooklyn. It was the perfect setting for date night with my boyfriend. The food was delicious. They had a great menu of options we had the edamame and the scallion pancakes for appetizers. The edamame was definitely the best I’ve ever had. It had an amazing grilled flavor to it. I can’t explain it, but I definitely am craving more! For the main course I went with the chicken sandwich which they had two sauce options for. I went with the spicy dressing which was amazing!! Def has a great kick to it!! The chicken was perfectly crisp and the accompanying dressing and toppings made it overall flavorful and delicious. My boyfriend went with the tuna poke which also a great choice. It has the perfect blend of flavors. The chef has definitely done a great job at mastering the flavors on their menu. The drinks were really pretty and definitely well-spirited haha! Overall great place! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The music here was also fantastic!!! Looking forward to returning!
Walking up to the third floor in a stairwell with exposed metal covered in stickers and some graffiti you know you’re in NY! East Hae felt like we found a secret but it’s not likely to stay quiet for long because the food and service here are top notch. The space is very cool as it’s connected to a clothing store and you can even enter into the store through the shared stairwell. Exposed beams throughout the restaurant with a little bit of Asian flare truly nails the Asian Gastropub description. Everyone working here is super friendly and eager to assist. The open air kitchen adjacent to the dining room was cranking out delicious eats! We started with grilled edamame then moved on to the grilled octopus - I apologize for the lack of photos but this was one of those meals that was way too good to slow down with pics - we dove right in! You’ll see others have posted photos of the octopus and that’s exactly how it looked - two nice size tentacles grilled to perfection with a slightly spicy sauce that was a perfect match. Our shared plate was the bulgoggi ssaam which looked great and tasted even better; the brisket was so tender, the sticky rice had great flavor, mixed greens were good and the kimchi was outstanding- we asked for extra because it was that good! The ssaam was served with 3 dipping sauces that went untouched because the flavors of this meal were perfect and needed no assistance. We enjoyed very good sake with our meal along with an old fashioned for me. Throughout the meal the staff checked in to make sure we were good and we couldn’t rave enough how great the food! This was only day 9 for East Hae but you’d never know it as they are a finely oiled establishment slinging delicious eats in a very cool setting. Rooftop opening this spring will only add to the awesomeness. I’ll be surprised if this place remains low key for long, when the word spreads I expect this place to be a hot spot!!
We were excited to try this place out. We came at happy hour and got two of the frozen drinks for $10 each plus a floater. Don’t know if we really got the floater... Drinks were sweet with no alcohol. We also ordered the chicken wings and they were raw inside. Our waitress was awesome and her makeup was perfect.
Part good and not crazy experience at East Hae. The restaurant and Rooftop are separate food and drink menu. I thought this place will be another interesting rooftop to hangout in Williamsburg but Im disappointed. My friend and I got a table on rooftop. The location and interior are trendy and chic but the taste of food and drinks plus service are not that great. On the review said it is Korean bar but the food quite fusion and less option than 3rd floor. Drinks are terribly made plus a plastic cocktail glass even makes the taste of liquor worst. The waitress claims that the bar use Hendrick to make Martini but my friend who is also a bartender said the taste is not like Hendrick and they put too much of water in the drink. At the price they charge it should be better than this.
Chic but low-key. A modern Rooftop. Gives Miami vibes a bit. Staff are friendly. We went on a Thursday night. It was a decent crowd not overwhelming. Service was a bit slow but could be because of staffing. The host gave us free shots to make up for the delay. Overall I think its a place worth visiting. The set up is cute. Theres a gorgeous view. The food is good.

2022-07-03This was a great experience for my sister & I. We wanted something unique and the rooftop seating was a start. The food, be it limited, provided plenty of choices. My sister & I had the wings, the Bulgogi, and Rainbow sushi specialty roll. We devoured the food like “My Pet Monster” & left happily satiated. The atmosphere is perfect for a first date with a nice view of the city or with friends. It’s open, and leaves you feeling like you escaped the city for a bit. I will say the meat in my Bulgogi was a tad over cooked hence minus one star but it was still delicious. I am definitely coming back with friends and family

2022-08-02East Hae was an amazing vibe. Food was good, staff was super kind, and the music was top tier. I recommend getting reservations on the rooftop but just know that the drink menu is different up there. 💕💙I got the shrimp tempura and the East Hae fries. Both were SO GOOD. Def recommend this spot.

2022-06-26Tonight my Bf and I were celebrating our anniversary of 3 years. We had planned to be on the roof top but, when we got there we was notified that the roof top was being used for a private event. We were kinda bummed and we went to the bar to discuss if we was going to stay or leave. ALEXIS who was our knight Im shinning armor saw the frustration in our faces and INSTANTLY help us out. Throughout the whole evening they had helped us and made sure we was okay! Thank you Alexis for being a great!!

2020-07-10The menu looks very seductive with amazing flavor combinations and Korean-inspired ingredients, however the delivery is not that great. The beef patties lacked flavor and the ceviche was too spicy, the wings were almost raw in the middle. Seems like is better as a cocktail bar than a restaurant. The prices are good for what you get. The view is really nice.

2022-07-16Woking up them. Stairs are truly worth it to get to the rooftop... Drinks are great. Food is excellent. Ambiance is niiice! Only thing I can say is sometimes the music is too loud and drowns out you and your table mates conversation

2022-08-06Attempted to give the benefit of the doubt since it is a “new” business, as we’ve been to this rooftop bar atop the Urban Outfitters multiple times before the total gentrification of Williamsburg—however the service here is not of the caliber it should be for what it pretends to be. The service was slow and forgetful, it took way too long for our first drinks which was blamed on miscommunication among the staff when they have an electronic thing to place the orders. Whatever. Took forever for water after we had to ask twice. It took over 20 mins to get the check after we asked, and guess what? They charged us for four (4) bottles when we ordered two (2) bottles. Granted we had to ask a million times for a single bottle to be served. The food and drink is not worth coming back for the delayed service.Aesthetically pleasing, but beyond that, no.
