One of our most favorite restaurants! The staff is over the top wonderful, the food is absolutely perfect with large, scrumptuous portions and the owners are extremely nice to all the customers. I highly recommend Eat Italian to anyone who wants to experience wonderful Italian food.
We order here often via grub hub. The food is always very quickly delivered. We have had multiple items from the burgers to pizza and pastas. Everything is really well made, and consistent each time. The short rib polenta is delicious and I’ve never had a better carbonara in my life! When you dine in, The place is small and has a warm vibe. Everyone is kind who works here.
Hello all and to whomever this review may concern. I have eaten at this place once and it was just recently. I promised the owner that I would leave a review for him. The food here is cooked the right way and it is legitimate authentic Italian cuisine. Also I would like to take this chance to let our community of Woodrow & rest of Si, Ny knowThat we are servicing flat rate moving and junk removal services. If you are relocating five minutes away, from Staten Island Staten Island, maybe you are moving to Jersey, or maybe you are looking to leave the tri-state area like Manny and go down south to Florida or out west to Texas. Regardless, we take on all jobs and service the entire East Coast. Call now for your free in-home estimate.
This place is always a great choice, the meals always come out hot and in a timly matter. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious, I can personally say Ive never had a bad meal here. Its perfect for a date night or dinner with friends.
A decent Italian restaurant in a fairly newly renovated plaza. It might be because they’re new, but their service could be better tenfold—servers/waiters are not attentive at all, no easy way to get someone’s attention if needed and no one introduced themselves by name for accountability. The food however is a different story. It was better than expected and had great presentation.
Went for a late lunch.with a friend of mine .we ordered 2 glasses of montepulciano 2 appetizers, pulpo & calamari, grilled to perfection... and caponata,Sicilian style eggplant,..off the hook.... a margarita pizza thin crisp with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil then we had 1 peach sorbet .. portion enough for two for dessert ..everything was superb...portions were nice..we didnt leave there hungry...infact we gave a portion of our pizza to the table next to us..service was excellent and the owner Franco who I had the pleasure meeting was a gentleman needless to say well be back..soon..thank you for the wonderful food Belissimo 😘💕👍
Real italian Food!..the place is so cozy but casual is so accomodating!the staff or workers are so friendly and nice..Great fresh food!..i eat in different italian resto but but this on takes 5 star NY michelin for me..than you chef so Yummy yummy delish!!!👍😘🙏More power
This was a great recommendation from my girlfriend. This place had excellent food and great service. The owner and head chef personally patrols the restaurant all the time making sure the service and food is to your liking which I love seeing. The short rib and gnocchi with grilled chicken were prepared perfectly. I ate so much I couldn’t fit another bite. The sangria was light, crisp, and refreshing. My one and only complaint, a small one, was that we asked four times for the check and waited 30 minutes for it.I highly recommend checking this spot out!
I’m a first time customer and WOW everything was delicious! The atmosphere is beautiful, love the outdoor seating. The chicken meatballs were SO GOOD, penne vodka was perfect, and the chicken panini was amazing! Everyone was so attentive and so kind. I will definitely be back! 100% recommend this place ! 😊
I never ever posted any reviews. But Today I stopped by EATITALLIAN and ordered a lentil soup to go. I paid $8.75 plus $1 tip for a very small portion. No bread. You have to ask for bread, I learned. I tried to eat the soup at home. I had a couple of spouns and didnt like the soup. It was terrible. I got rid of it. Then I developed heartburn. How can you even serve something like this to people? I wouldnt give it to a dog. 👎
This is quite possibly the best Italian restaurant on the south shore of Staten Island. The service is always on point, and the food is always consistent. They have amazing specials week after week. My favorite dishes are the chicken parm and any of the flatbread pizzas. Its always a pleasure dining there and will always recommend it.
Exceptional service and excellent food. Probably the best Italian food Ive ever had. Wait staff attentive and knowledgeable. Food was delicious and fresh with top tier ingredients. Worth every penny. White sangria was light and delicious. Highly recommend. Will be back soon
As an Italian-American the last thing I want to eat is Italian-why eat what you can cook. We were recommended to come here so many times we said lets try it...and im so happy we did! Cute atmosphere but the food was GREAT! We went for brunch...a PITCHER of mimosas and a bread board came complementary! The food was outrageous and the prices were so fair! Make this spot your new favorite place!
IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD HAVE. BUT YOU CAN’T LEAVE A REVIEW WITHOUT. THIS RESTAURANT HAS THE WORST PEOPLE WORKING HERE. ORDERED THROUGH YELP FOR MY MEAL AND HAVE SEVERE ALLERGIES AND STATED THEM ON MY ORDER. WHEN I RECEIVED MY FOOD IT CONTAINED EVERYTHING IM ALLERGIC TO. CALLED BACK AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAPPENED AND THEIR RESPONSE WAS “ we don’t work with yelp “. FIRST OF ALL HOW COULD WE ORDER WITHOUT YOU ACCEPTING FROM YELP? SECOND, I CAN NOT EAT WHAT WAS GIVEN AND PAID FOR. HOW DO YOU NOT GIVE MONEY BACK OR AT LEAST OFFER TO SEND OUT A NEW ORDER? ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND SO RUDE. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN.
IIve eaten here several times, the food is good the service is okay and the staff is always welcoming. I brought family here yesterday and told them how much we like the food and that they would enjoy it. Fast forward to my husband getting his meal which was the special of the night and there was a fly in it!! When we called the waiter over and discreetly told him he never apologized but immediately made another one, we expected the owner/chef to come to the table and apologize to us but he never came nor did the hostesses that were there. Im assuming either the waiter never told them or they just didnt care. After dinner we were all given shot glasses of there frozen coffee on the house, was this there way of saying sorry for the fly?? When the check came we thought that the meal would be taken off the bill because again there was a fly in it!! Nope....we were shocked because again this wasnt our first time there and they were always very attentive and what we thought was a great neighborhood restaurant. I went over to the chef who stood there with his arms folded no expression at all, I asked him why my husbands meal was not taken off the bill he sighed and said Ill void it it REALLY... would I go back there maybe, but I dont want to be that customer whose remembered for this review, which I had to write just to let Eat Italian know that they were rude and did not treat the patron nicely especially since I didnt have to be that discreet and couldve made a big stink!!! He might own the restaurant and be the head chef but he needs a new personality because hes not any better then the next person that may or may not walk into his establishment
I cant compliment this restaurant enough. From the friendly staff who welcome you, to the creativity of Chef Franco in his presentation of new dishes as well as the classics. If you havent discovered Eatltalian yet, you are in for a treat. My sister Ellen and l rarely miss a week, and their takeout service gave us something delicious to look forward to during the lockdown. BRAVO !
Rice ball App was Big and not horrible for $10 but just wasn’t a great rice ball it was lacking flavor. I wouldn’t get it again. The meat sauce and cheese on top was good. The Pasta with fish was very good. huge bowl you get your money’s worth $22 per order.Clams very good calamari very good jumbo shrimp very good. Mussels were so so but with mussels no matter where you get them they are like that these days. Sauce was good as well. All around I would go back and try some different choices when I am on the island.Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Fantastic food and good service the only draw backs are that menus themselves are just too big they really need to scale the actual size down a bit. Lastly it can get a bit loud sometimes but if your a small group the larger one once can cancel the smaller ones. The food is absolutely fantastic we had my mothers birthday there and I tasted everyones dish and each one was amazing and made me mad I didnt order or
I dined here a couple of times. I was impressed with everything from the dining room, the patio, the menu and even the food. However, I ordered from them recently and was beyond disappointed. The sauce tasted like it was Ragu or Prego mixed with a dab of ketchup. The meatballs were equally lacking. Their texture and density made them seem like small boulders. I couldnt take more than a couple of bites before getting nauseous. Disappointed
Really enjoyed dinner here with my family. The stuffed mozzarella was delicious, stuffed with asparagus and prosciutto. The penne vodka was great and my husband said his fish was great. The only downside is that i realized after we were almost done that all the tables had bread except us. My son had been asking for bread but i thought they just didnt do bread baskets. When I asked for it, they did bring it right away. Just a minor issue and not enough to cost 5 stars. Good and fast service. We sat outside and enjoyed that outdoor seating area.
The food was amazing. The staff was so polite, helpful and attentive. They were really busy when we got there but they accommodated our party of 5. The food was came out fast and was hot and fresh. I reccomend the Sunday dinner. If youre a fan of Italian food I would make this your next stop.
OMG! Everything about this place was perfection. The second we walked in the door, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The service was impeccable. Again, very friendly. The food was beyond incredible. Delicious, fresh, and the price was right. Perfection from beginning to end!
Sitting here now. They told us it is crowded and we might have to wait for our entrees. Which I totally understand. I ordered a panini, grilled chicken was cold, it all fell apart. Didn’t want to send back, which I should have done. Oh well, live and learn. Too bad. On the other hand my husband had the Parmesan crusted veal, that was good....should have went with my first choice. Veal rollatini.
We tried this restaurant for the first time today and I want to to say WOW food was amazing and delicious the pizza reminded me as if I were sitting in italy and Desserts OMG. The staff was on the money and the waitress was amazing very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu me being from Queens I will definitely be making my way back again.....
Food was excellent .Took my girlfriend . She loved it too . Had the chicken meatballs on a bed of risotto. I had the rigatoni Bolognese . My girlfriend had a chicken panini . She also had the Risotto Croquettes I think they were with basil pesto sauce . The service was phenomenal. The waitress was knowledgeable of every dish on the menu . I am going back for sure . I would highly recommend you try this place !!!! These are the meatballs on the bed of risotto. This is the picture from the restaurant but this is exactly how they came.
There are hundreds, if not thousands,. of pizzerias and Italian restaurants on Staten Island -- from authentic to Brooklyn replicas. They all have pizza; they all have sauce (or gravy); and they all have pasta. After a while, they all blend. Yes, there are standouts; we all have our go-tos; and we can debate all day and night over which is best, better, and good. They each have their goods and bads, and some of them just suck. Some are over-priced and others are questionably cheap and inexpensive. Many have gimmicks and tricks and others just focus on the food and wine. A few recycle the same servers recommending the same dishes from Arthur Kill to Amboy to Hylan, the Margarita Pie, the Penne Vodka, the Ravioli, the Scampi, the Scaloppine...blah blah blah. All the same all over the island - sometimes its good and sometimes its not.Throw a quarter in the air while standing anywhere on Staten Island and youll hit a pizzeria or an Italian restaurant with more of the same. And on Yelp, they have good reviews and bad reviews. Big deal.Eat isnt breaking the mold, and the menu doesnt boast anything fancy, exotic, or overly unique, and thats okay because the food it does offer is consistently delicious -- and thats all you can ask for when going to an Italian restaurant on Staten Island these days. The Food:Parmigiana - perfectly cooked with great taste.Frittura Mista - well done fried mix.Caponata - tasty and flavorful. The Bufolata pizza was so good I ordered it twice. The ingredients taste fresh and mix well together. I usually half this pie with the Paesana - fried eggplant and ricotta. Together they compliment each other. Either way together or not, both pies are robust with flavor, complimenting the pizza dough and crust perfectly. The bread is delicious. And if youre expecting the pie to be crispy, like Deninos, Lees or Campanias, youre going to be disappointed. Eats pizza is more like the pizza of Naples rather than Romes, thick crust instead of thin. So if you want it crispy - ask for it. Dont leave a negative review because you didnt know the difference.Theres a whole other section on the menu that needs recognition for one reason, whether you think its authentically Italian or not - the Panini section. Made up of items from a burger to a grilled chicken chaser wrap. But the only dish Ive tried is the Steak Sliders, which, in my opinion, is DELICIOUS. Id order it again and again. The quality of the steak they use is impressive - extremely tender, seasoned and cooked perfectly, and perfect for sliders with soft brioche buns. This dish is a win for Eat, authentically Italian or not. Its perfect. For entree, Ive only ordered two dishes multiple times: Paccheri Norma and Genovese Classica. The first is handmade rigatoni with roasted eggplant and the second is pappardelle with pulled short ribs. Done well and delicious. I would order both again and again. Both have unique qualities with fairly common ingredients and combinations for pasta dishes. Theyre done right, offering great flavors and perfectly cooked al dente homemade pastas. While Im sure Franco, the owner, takes pride in all his dishes, judging from the quality and flavor of these two menu choices, I expect hes put a lot of time perfecting his pasta and sauces. And that should be enough to make you want to go back. Its tough for Italian restaurants and pizzerias to stand out on Staten Island, and its tough for any of them and their chefs to win awards and become instant celebrities, so the most they can hope for is lasting power and so far Eat has it. Staff is friendly. Service is consistent. And food is good. Thats a win for Woodrow since the South Shore is saturated with one copy after another.
Have been here a few times but food and service have gone way down. Very upsetting after finally having a nice neighborhood eatery it has become another italian food restaurant statistic . Had the special butternut squash ravioli priced at a whopping 25.00 did not know as it was a special. I woould not habe have ordered it. And my husband had the bolognese pasta. It was served in under 5 minutes. Terrible . It was served as schlop. Not hot and rushed. How can you serve an entree in less than 5 minutes that means its microwaved. So disappointing. Well then we got home and got so sick . The cream sauce on the ravioli was like lard and the bolognese meat was a grease pit. We did not even eat half our dishes. If they think they want to rush people to turn tables it doesnt work for the hard working hard earned money we locals earn or how we want to spend our money. We want to enjoy a nice dinner. If your charging those prices keep it fresh and let people enjoy their meal. The last time I was there they served my entree while having my app. They expect you to have apps dinner drinks dessert in under an hour. Well it wont last. They are losing their way. Too many schlop italian restaurants in SI.
Had dinner with my wife there Sunday , had the cold antipasta / cheese and meat app and the salmon dinner and Homemade lasagna . For dessert we had the zeppolis w drizzled Nutella. . Very enjoyable atmosphere and meal . Cant wait to go back and try a couple more things . Great restaurant for the neighborhood. Good luck to this new restaurant .
Bait and Switch, FALSE ADVERTISING - FOOD - is OVERPRICED - AVOID Their was an Advertisement in the Val Pak paper for 4 dinners for $50 cash from 1pm - 6pm. We arrived at 515pm and tried to take advantage of the offer. They informed us that it was takout only, not a big deal, we stayed to see how the food was. Calamari was good, everything else was overpriced and tasted like it came from a jar or can. When I went home to check the coupon it did not say it was for takeout only I called attention to this, and was told - Its just an advertisement. This Review is fair warning - Prices will differ from what is advertised!!!
(cup) of cheaper grade undercooked calimari as appetizer, Pescatore that had hardly any seafood in it. The Pescatore tasted good. If I didnt order to go I couldve sent the calimari back to beef up and cook another 10minutes. ImI not impressed , but theyre real friendly
I called to place an order for pickup and the woman was very nasty so then I asked for the manger and he was just as nasty I cancelled my order and will never order from here again! During times like this when ordering from small business is encouraged he should be ashamed!
When the main Chef is there is absolutely excellent been there a couple of times wasnt too keen on some of the stuff but other nights absolutely fantastic so its a hit and miss but what I really dont like is too small tiny tables and those giant menus but overall I say its a decent spot

2022-05-09Another amazing meal at Eat Italian NYC by Chef Gianfranco. This double cut pork chop was so tender and well cooked, no knife was needed. Do try this dish next time!

2022-06-19My boyfriend and I ordered food from this place on June 1st 2022 for dinner and normally I get the gnocchi but this time I decided to get the pescatore pasta dish and when I opened one of the clams I came face to face with an insanely rotted piece of shell fish. Immediately threw it all away. Tried reaching out to the restaurant but never heard back from them. Just beware eating here…I’d stay away from any fish dish. Someone could get insanely sick…like deathly sick from bad fish like this. Thankfully I hadn’t eaten much before noticing the shellfish was completely bad. They should really do a better job at checking the fish before cooking it let alone serving it. Really disappointing experience.

2022-05-18Very attentive, and pleasant staff, the service was wonderful! Personal pizza and Sunday dinner were phenomenal, my short rib pasta was good but a little mushy, and they made a wonderful dessert for my birthday! The staff sang, and it was a dessert to die for! Stuffed creme puffs with Gelato, I wish I was still eating it!

2022-04-24My Wife and I had a Delish early dinner today at this fine eatery. I gotta tell youse folks that the cold antipasto and the Sunday sauce dish were just great! I gotta say though that although the Cabernet was good, the house Chardonnay was awful and the two Coors Lights I had at $8 each was way out of line (what am I at the Yankee game!) You know when you’re being gouged when a Coors light is $8!!!My wife and I recommend this place for their food but not for their awful Chardonnay and rip off Coors lights (if you’re ordering beer, ask the price first!
