This is probably the only sleek, inviting, updated looking, African (Nigerian/Ghanaian) Cuisine dine in restaurant in the Bronx.Every African restaurant I looked up didnt look very appealing to eat/dine in, they all seemed catered to take out and delivery only.Huge space, that dued to covid their restricts of occupants was only 58; so you can image when things open and they are back to full capacity could probably accommodate over 100 persons. The price and service were all good, and the food was relatively okay. Wish it was made to order, but overall the experience of dining in and celebrating my friends birthday was what we were looking for.Would definitely visit again, maybe check it out later at night, cause it gave off a very club-like atmosphere.
Was very glad to see a African restaurant on east side of the Bronx. Usually its a 45 minute drive and this location cuts the time in half. As far as my food I was VERY DISAPPOINTED. I ordered jeloff rice and okra soup with eba. This food was not freshly made. You could tell the soup was frozen as was the rice. The jeloff rice wasn’t even completely red. (View pics). I couldn’t even eat my food as it was stale. What a waste of money. The eba was the only item ordered freshly made. Smh over priced and unfairly portioned. $6 for a kids size portion of stale rice.
Food was sub par! Very stingy with the prices of fish and meat you get. Majority of what I ordered was not freshly cooked. All bones and fat. I would have eaten better in a village. I would skip this restaurant and go to Mama Gs instead 😩 And for the price? NEVER AGAIN!!
My first time ordering from here. I ordered Egusi, moi moi, then Nigerian JollofLet’s start with the jollofIt tasted like party jollof (if you’re African you know) bland, a lil sweet. Not sure whyThe stew really saved it because otherwise this whole order would’ve been a 1.The Moi moi was goodThe Egusi. Whoever made the egusi needs their green card revoked. Lucky I’m Nigerian and could eat it because if it was a non Nigerian trying it for the first time, the whole thing would’ve went into the garbage. Absolutely bland, they couldve added more palm oil and chicken flavoring for goodness sake. Even a sprinkle of Lawry’s seasoning. The pounded Yam was fine and smooth. The egusi also had a weird smell similar to bush meat, very earthy scent which is something I’m not used to.If you’re American wanting to try African food for the first time, DO NOT COME HERE!
It’s always a vibe when I come to Eazy with my friends, especially on Saturday nights. The customer service, the food, the drinks, the music (afro beats, soca, dancehall, hip-hop etc), the decor, and the vibe are all great. I’ve also been here many times besides on Saturday, just to get food. I always get puff puff, jollof rice with goat meat, and then either nkwobi, pepper snail or suya. If you’ve never been, then you should definitely give them a try!
I think the cook was changed … workers sounds Jamaican so not sure how authentic the food really is but it used to be way better at first but just steadily going downhill . My chicken was actually COLD. Jollof was not tasty & was also lukewarm not hot , it was the stew that saved it . Please make sure you’re actually warming up the food since it’s clearly not made to order .
The place is beautiful and well laid out, the service is efficient, the people there are very polite and professional, and the Chef is beyond fantastic. I have been the three times now, have had different meals each time, and its like a taste of heaven each time. This is a place one MUST go to.
Beautiful and very clean place...We went there around 10pm hoping that we could get lunch because they close at 11pm...The kitchen was already closed but they made an exception by serving us..it was our first time and we really appreciated the way they treated us...Of course were going back because the food was so great....wish I could put more than 5 start!Good luck!
They are not ready for business. Was new in town. Googled for African restaurant and EasyLife came up only to get there and they were not even open. If you are not open please update your site. Went to Mama G and thankfully they were open and my family and I enjoyed a great meal
Went to the restaurant with my friend, the atmosphere is very welcoming. The waitress was very friendly and pleasant. Their food service was very fast. I ordered Waakye and stew and it was so delicious. If u need a place to chill with ur friends and family I recommend Eazy Life. Will definitely go there again.
Dont buy isi ewu here theres so much sand in it and its wack even after we complained no sorry or replacement, their rice is small and pricy, we were in NY for a project and had to drive 35mins to food here but its always disappointing like who puts alot of oil that can feed a nation as sauce on a beans sucks.. too many complains about their food and services aswell.. their kitchen needs serious improvement for that price they can do better

2022-07-10Good place to feel at home if you’re Nigerian. The food looks good… got me some vegetables and pounded yam. Didn’t get enough red stew but you know… it is what it is 🤷🏽♂️. All in all, I’ll go back and give another meal a try with them to see if I’ll make them a permanent go to for me. Their staffs were nice and welcoming, nice and attractive lounge scenery. Any ways, you might have to visit the place just to draw out your own derivatives of the restaurant. Take care guys😉

2022-04-16This is the worst food I ever heard sitting here with the ugly tilapia tasteless fish pepper soup my goshhh! I have never had anything so bad…And then they ask to change it for a fish stew I agreed! Then croaker fish was burnt and taste bitter with a tasteless stew with no salt or maggi in it, no pepper 🌶 horrible experience, horrible cook, horrible service….Never to come back here ever again this is really bad #badfood..

2022-03-19The food tastes good but if you are looking for authentic African stews this is NOT!!! it. Theyre basically serving steamed vegetables with meat no sauce whatsoever. I wont be getting anything form there again.

2022-03-13It is a nice place to chill out while enjoying some of the foods. A friend took me there and spent approximately $140...138 to be precise. This includes fish and three plates of Goatmeat pepper soup, two bottles of beer, two Multa drinks, a mini plate of suya and two take out vegetable soup with fufu (for both of us). Considering how expensive these food items could be, I will say its a decent place. Plus, one of the employees ( very young female) was very professional and patient with everyone.

2022-06-27Ordered from Uber eats, got okra and pounded yam and Jollof rice with mixed meat. I’m having pounded yam for the first time in so long and I must say this place did it justice. Definitely order from them :)

2019-09-30Food was delicious. The ambience was great. They have private lounges to host your private parties. If youre looking for a nice African restaurant to take your friends to, this is the place. Although, theyre yet to get their liquor license which theyre working on.They paid attention to your needs and have everything on their menu. It was easy to get parking also.Ill be going back soon.
