The night was fine until the morning,. I called to say our departure would be at 12pm. At 11:45 the manager, tried to enter the room with out knocking, calling out, or phoning. The lock prevented him from entering. For my money, I think a customer service knock or call out would have been proper. Thanks, but no thanks to harassment to leave a room.
The staff was friendly and helpful. They upgraded us to a suite for the same price as a regular room. The beds were extremely comfortable. The road is pretty busy but we had no trouble with road noise. The AC kept the room comfortable. The breakfast selection is not generous but everything was fresh and good. The rooms were clean but not immaculate and could use some repairs & touch up painting. The value was exceptional and overall experience was as good or better than expected.
We splurged to get a room with a jacuzzi tub. Not quite worth the price but not a terrible experience either. I would say the room could have been cleaner/more comfortable however we definitely were not miserable by any means. Would stay again probably for a cheaper rate.
The hotel was clean, quiet and the staff were very friendly attentive and helpful. We felt very safe. Our room card didnt work the second day it was corrected in seconds. I managed to leave my wallet in the room and when we called they said they would look and called back in less than 10 minutes to say they had found it and mail it Monday. It arrived today as promised with everything included including $$. High marks for being quick and have integrity. It seems to be a family owned hotel and is small. We will absolutely stay here again.
I was the worse camping trip of my life at Four Mile Creek State Park in Youngstown New York so I got on my phone looking up hotels that I can go to and this Econo Lodge was the first one to catch my eye. So i packed up camp one day early and drove to this Econo Lodge. When I arrived at the office the nice young lady at the front desk greeted me with a smile and was very friendly during the whole check in process and said help your self to some coffee if you want some. When I arrived to the room it was a nice clean room that had enough plugs to meet my power needs. The room had a refrigerator and a microwave those both were handy. I then turned on the Air Conditioner to cool the room off some and it worked great. I then laid on the bed to test it out and it was better then the bed I have at home. The bathroom was clean and was well stocked with towels and all the shower supplies that I needed and had great hot water and water pressure the shower head could have been a little bit higher but I was able to deal with that because I run across that problem a lot because I am 6 foot 6 inchs tall. I woke up the next morning and went down to the lobby to get coffee and the not only had coffee but the also had donuts, cereal, muffins, batter for waffles with a waffle maker and an assorted juices to choose from. So in conclusion this was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this Econo Lodge if you are traveling thru the area and need a place to stay for a night or two.
Talked to the owner who told us they were just recently remodeled. When searching for a hotel this one had the best price that was still within the thick of things the town had to offer. The room was very clean. The cleaning service was great each day. The beds were comfortable. The owner (Manny) was very nice and accommodating.Overall we got value for what we paid and would definitely come back.
Staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. Check in was quick and easy (aside from A LOT of initialing for policies, perhaps that could be condensed into one overall initial?) and the gentleman running the front desk went out of his way to show us exactly where to park for easiest access to our rooms. We were also kindly allowed to leave our vehicles overnight Saturday into Sunday (we had stayed Friday) as we were in town for the Deck the Halls wine trail tour and needed a consistent pickup/drop off point. The rooms (we had 4) were clean and comfortable, though a bit more attention to detail may be needed in the bathrooms. Breakfast didnt have much variety, but its a free breakfast so I cant complain. There were fresh make-your-own waffles, cereal, and muffins offered along with coffee, milk, and orange juice. Overall, it was a nice overnight stay. We all got a great nights sleep and were well rested and ready for our weekend.
Stayed here four nights. The first night was a Saturday and the room price was more than double what it was the rest of the stay. I dont remember it being that high on the ChoiceRewards website when I booked it. This was not a $140/night room. The location is convenient to everything in Canandaigua. The staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast selections were meager. I only drank the coffee and bought food for breakfast. The rooms have a microwave and refrigerator. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. AC worked great. My sister was down a couple of rooms from me and bugs (potato bugs, AKA roly polies, and crickets) got in under the door. It would be nice if someone took a wrench and tightened the desk legs every once in a while or put some lock washers on them. So, I would have been happier if I hadnt spent so much for the first night but, overall, it was an ok place. It served my purposes fine.
Room was larger than expected. Reasonably clean - however, no bath towels, burn marks on one night stand and on bed cover (that was excused by the ?manager?), due to allergies, checked HVAC filters which were BEYOND FILTHY...glad that I cleaned them myself in the tub because I was told by the ?manager? that IF they clean them THEY TAKE THEM OUT ONTO THE GRASS AND SCRUB OFF THE DUST. Um, no,?Manager? very abrupt and condescending.
The owners are very accommodating and friendly. We stayed there several times over the past year and they end up treating you like family. Rooms were very satisfactory and totally clean. Everything went super smooth, we had no problems what so ever with anything. Very recommendable.
I arrived very late for Tuesday May 17 stay for 3 nights. The manager was awaiting my arrival and did everything he could to make this very tired traveler (me) comfortable. The room was super clean - smelled very good as did the lobby, stairwell and hallway. The manager/owner, along with his staff, did everything they could to make my stay memorable and pleasant. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others and when in the area, I plan to stay with them again.
Upon entering the room, the floors were stained and dirty. The shower didnt look clean and the walls were peeling. All 4 pillows were thrown at the end of the bed dirty & stained with no pillowcases. The top cover was grease stained. The person at the front desk came up asked us what our problem was and brought new pillows and blanket. My husband then found a bed bug. We informed him what we found and they we were leaving. He assured us it wasnt a bedbug, rest assured it was, my husband works in pest control. We were charged $150 for the room. I wouldnt have paid $50. Pay the extra $30 and stay at the Holiday Inn.
Room was larger than expected and shower head & water pressure were good. The room was not very clean though..... walls were dirty, floor was dirty. Socks were black after walking in the room for just a short time. We normally dont stay at Econo Lodges but everything else in the area was booked. Cant stay wed stay again if there were other choices.
Room was dirty, there were finger nail clippings on the carpet when we arrived. The furniture is old, scratched, and dirty. The stove was dirty. The tub was stained and dirty. The mattress was old and uncomfortable and the comforter was thin tattered. The noise from adjacent rooms above and on each side was very loud due to the thinness of the walls. The continental breakfast was lackluster. Lastly, when checking out, the person working the desk was wearing a t-shirt and gym shorts, and was completely barefoot! The only benefit is the proximity to the CMAC venue.
I would not recommend place. First they gave us a room that didnt lock and tells us it was ok we could just leave it like that. We finally got a new room but not suite like we originally booked. Then they have a sign up that due to Covid they dont clean room except if we request it. We went out for a day came back and they had been in our room. Room could have been cleaner. Took garbage but didnt make beds or stuff.
This hotel gave us comfort away from home! It had all the amenities that we needed to make our stay comfortable. On our arrival we notice there was a broken toilet seat which we reported and it was replaced immediately. The staff was extremely nice and helpful! I enjoyed our stay so much that I booked the room again for my return stay! I would recommend it to anyone!
Our room was ready for us on time on the 15th of this month. Check-in was unacceptable; two children requested to check us in. Of course I declined. Parent came to do it. Went to visit family on the 16th for the day and retuned back to the hotel later that evening only to find the room had not been touched. No clean towls and bed not made. Nothing sanitzed either. Had to go to the desk and request clean towels. At check out the next day the manager desired to give us a small amount off our stay. We were worth only that much to stay at his hotel...pretty sad. We will never stay there again.
Owner showed us both up stairs room and 1st floor room. He was concerned about a stain on the 1st floor carpet. We had to look close to see it. Room was very clean. Everything worked as it should. Bed was comfortable. WI-FI was good. Very good breakfast and friendly staff. Just out side of town. We will stay here again.
My wife and I have stayed in 6 motels over the last month including other Choice branded properties. Our stay in Canadaigua was the best of the lot. And because the cost was covered by Guest Rewards, it was also the least expensive. The room was clean and quiet. Upon arrival we were warned that our room might have a few bugs until the fall sun set - I saw one. The TV worked well; the internet was adequate - but as more travelers come with multiple WiFi equipped devices, as expected, there were times the connection speed lagged. This was most apparent when we tried streaming video from HULU. The breakfast bar was well equipped with both fresh and prepared foods, and hot and cold items. For the person looking for a simple nights stay - nothing fancy - this property might just fill the bill.
The room was nice, but instead of a tub the size of my bathroom at home, a larger shower would have been nice. The shower was very tiny and water actually sprays onto the floor because the door didnt stay shut. Overall, it was a decent room. I checked out at 6am, only to find out the front door was locked with no one around. I think he was sleeping in the back, he looked like I woke him up by ringing the doorbell. Also, breakfast doesnt start until 7am. By then, most people are checked out and gone. I guess they do that to keep costs down.
This hotel seemed to be a newly renovated roadside motel that has been turned into an Econolodge. The paint and decor were all new and fresh, and the rooms were nice, but the building design and location are reminiscent of those older styles of hotels/motels that are built directly on the side of the highway. The first floor rooms (there are two floors) facing the road suffer from traffic noise during the day although it was fine at night and not a problem when the air conditioning was running. The hotel is also less than a mile (walking distance) to a Walmart. The hotel front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful, parking was easy and the hotel was quiet at night. I paid more than I normally would for this level of accommodations, but I stayed over on a Saturday night during the height of the tourist season in July so I was lucky to get a room at all. The hotel was totally booked on the night I was there, as were most other hotels in the area.
Based on the on-line reviews, I expected more.Room had a musty odor when I arrived, and although the room was clean the odor was only partially removed by running the air conditioner. Had to open the window to air out the room. And, speaking of windows, the windows could use a washing; they were filthy. The Continental breakfast was a joke. Coffee with powdered coffee mate in a bulk container, orange juice out of a 1/2 gallon container which was missing the cap, milk also available from a 1 gallon container. Dry cereal, some muffins and toast, margarine spread not on ice to keep chilled. NO Eggs or sausage, no yogurt, no individual milk or juice. Disappointing. Had to get breakfast at McDonalds. Add the price of the breakfast at McDonalds to the cost of the room and I could have stayed at another motel with a decent continental breakfast.Room rate jump from $70 to $120 per night for a 3-night WEEKDAY stay (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) is exorbitant. (2 nights at $70, 1 at $120)The front desk staff was pleasant and the motel was quiet.
It was dirty, very very dirty! The shower was disgusting causing us not to shower. There was soap all over the tub from the previous people. Dirt and stains on the sink and floor. The end table had rings from drinks on there and the floor was disgusting causing our socks to turn black. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel and paid wayyyyyy to much it was no worth it. Was better off staying my car at that point.
The room was clean and the service was excellent. The owner went beyond expectation to provide exceptional service!Only one suggestion to the owner:Our bedroom didnt have a dedicated A/C, although the fan was enough for us. If you can have the a/c installed in the bedroom, it will be good.
Minesh was a very gracious host, he was incredibly friendly and had excellent suggestions for local attractions. He mentioned he recently purchased the hotel and is still in the process of updating the furnishings. Beds were comfortable, rooms were nice and you can tell things are being updated, some furnishings are new and some are still in need of being replaced. Overall the experience was great and I would definitely reccomend this hotel! Five Stars and Two Thumbs way up!I would note that the breakfast was nice but do not expect anything more than a small selection of cereal, fruit, yogurt, waffles and juice and coffee. Not a detracting factor, however dont expect anything fancy.
We were very disappointed with our stay. The motel had issues with its sanitation system so that in the morning our bathtub was filled with backed up toilet waste(poop). Could not shower or flush the toilet. The manager kept saying he would take care of us which we took to mean a refund or at least a partial one for the room. It has not happened. will not dare to use this motel again.
Room 102 was large. it does have some maintenance issues. The showerhead needs to be fixed, the table is scratched and the sofa bed was dirty when unfolded. Upon unfolding the sofa bed old potatoe chips fell out. Front desk very nice, clean lobby. dirty shelves and drawers in the kitchen.
Hotel is new to the Econo Lodge brand but older and showing its age, broken concrete walks, exterior doors not fitting properly. If you need an Accessible room do not use room 118 which is the room with the wheelchair ramp, this was the Accessible room I got. The bathroom is not easy to use, the tub is too high to step in and out of easily and the chair that I had to use in the tub did not fit, I had to set it in sideways and work around the back of the chair which now was on the side, my son was so surprised that he took pictures of the bathroom. Water took 10 to 11 minutes running before warm water came out, it did get hot after another minute. You will need to use the bathtub chair as a table to set any items you need to use on it due to only having a small glass shelf which has the soap, shampoo, etc. on it. The bed was nice and linens clean.
For starters a child checked us in which was fairly odd but the room was comfy, had the coolest setting on an air conditioner for a hotel plus my morning shower was amazingly hot which was also rare. Service was good, located close to where we wanted to go, and the wife and I normally would pay double for the same experience so Id definitely say wed be back if need be.
For a fairly new building, this place was dirty. Spatters all over the tv, dust all over stands, dirty floor and lights dirty. Walls are paper thin. Main lobby bathroom had a bicycle and cleaning items in it. Cigarette butts everywhere. Obviously the rooms are rented to people, scary people living there with grills outside doors and screens pride out of windows. We even took the filters out of the heaters and cleaned them, full of dust and god knows what else. Very poor maintenance. The cleaning person did not seem to care at all. Linens were clean and that is about it. As for breakfast mmm not much there to eat. I have stayed all over the country in every kind of motel and this was by far the dirtiest i have ever seen. It would have to be free before i would ever stay there again.
To sum it up: Given a room dirty, full of wet towels and garbage...to then be given a room that was smoke filled with bugs in the bathroom and burn holes in the bed blankets from cigarettes. Then entire motel was smelly of different weird bad smells. This motel was not clean. The foyer was bad as well. The beds uncomfortable with flat pillows. The rugs reeked. The signs werent accurate. There was so many things wrong that my kids and my husband were scared to lay down on the beds. We didnt shower and we left our clothes on for protection. Worst stay in our lives!!!!
Horrible. Had read the reviews and thought we were good. Not so. please refer to previous on dis-likes. Just a horrible stay. Not sure why all the Walmart items and just wasnt ready to get ill on milk and juice that were clearly separated, and if the bread for toast was out in the open stale, wasnt trying the cereal either. other than that no other options except coffee. Nobody at the front desk entire time drinking coffee waiting for our other guests to even say Good Morning.
I stayed for almost two weeks. The room was well kept by room service. The management was friendly. I did bring food and put it in the refrigerator. It was not until my food started smelling, that I realized that they had the temperature knob turned down to the lowest setting and the knob removed.
Dirty, Poor Experience. Never again! I stayed at Econolodge in Canandaigua NY this weekend. I was horrified with the entire experience. I have sent pictures for coprorate to view. Prior to booking I specifcally asked questions and was mislead. First..management told me the hotel was a 5 minute walk to the civic center, but upon arriving, I learned it was a 15 min. drive. When I booked I advised I was handicapped and needed access. When I checked in, I was given a 2nd floor room and told theres no elevator and I had to walk up the stairs. I reminded him I am handicapped, and cannot walk stairs. Visibly irritated, he found me a room on the ground floor, telling me it was his very best room. Upon opening the door to the room, there was an overwhelming musty smell. The bathroom garbage was not changed. The ceiling above the bed has signs of water leaking, the tub was filthy and appears to never be cleaned. There were soap chunks in the tub surround from the previous visitor. There was a slew of stains of some sort all over the bath walls, and the floor was sticky, mirrors dirty. The outlet next to the dresser was overloaded and a major fire hazard. It had tv, lamps, portable fan which was full of dirt, and a portable electric heater needed to intro the temperature all plugged into one outlet. There is a beer tab in the sink drain that is probably still there. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and have told the civic center to do the same. Dirty and poor experience. On the bright side... no bed bugs! I checked.
My husband and I stayed at this EconoLodge because we were going to a concert at the CMAC. It was only a ten minute walk to the venue. Our room was very neat and clean. Best sleep Ive had in a hotel in a long time. The owner was super friendly and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We will stay there again for sure!
Non smoking, great HD Flat screen tv. The owner was great. Smells good and is clean in the room. Only 2 negatives. It took 2 minutes for the shower water to warm up and the shower drain was extremely slow. I will come again.I left Super 8 down the street only after 2 hrs. That place was horrible. You can read my review on Super 8. I travel the US & have only put a handful of motels in my phone & this place is going into my phone
READ BEFORE BOOKINGTraveled to the finger lake region for work. Had to settle for the sketchy Econo-Lodge as there was a race in Watkins Glen and all hotels in a 30 mile radius had been fully booked.I arrived later in the evening and immediately knew I was in for it when I was checked in by an 11-13 year old boy (I assume it was the owners kid). There is no elevator so I had to carry all my luggage up these narrow steps to my second floor room. As soon as I got in my room I noticed that there was hair all over the bathroom floor, sink, shower, and all over the bedspread. The sheets looked clean but everything else looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a while. Went to take a shower and my bathtub almost immediately started filling up to my ankles in brown water. Also the only toilet paper in the bathroom was the roll on the wall that only had about 1/5 of the roll left...Went to lay down and watch TV before passing out... TV would not turn on. Went to log on to my laptop to watch Netflix and the internet connection was pitiful so it couldnt buffer fast enough.****Somehow fell asleep late in the night. Woke up in the morning to a sharp pain in my shoulder. I went into the bathroom and saw that my shoulder had been stabbed by something... to this day I still cant say for sure what it was.... but my shoulder immediately started bleeding and getting inflamed. I checked the bed for needles or spiders/bugs but couldnt find anything. Ended up going to the urgent care where they couldnt identify what gave it to me so they administered a tetanus shot and told me to keep an eye on it. From what I can tell the bed must have busted springs that ended up piercing through the mattress and sheets and directly into my shoulder when I rolled over in bed. The ladies at Urgent Care all asked why I had even stayed there in the first place. as it has a reputation for being a sketchy place. Mentioned all of this to the manager when I got back in the afternoon and he essentially dismissed everything I told him and told me that Many people spend multiple days and even weeks there. As if that discredited anything I said. All around very sketchy and I would HIGHLY recommend staying somewhere else. ***
Ive stayed at Econo Lodge Canandaigua twice now. The first time I was down on the first floor, which had an outside entry and was relatively quiet, aside from the traffic outside. The second time, I got a room on the second floor in the back of the building, with an inside entry way. I preferred the second stay to the first, as it was a lot quieter (no traffic!) the second time. The breakfast was average. Its not extravagant, but you can usually have a piece of toast, a waffle, or even a yogurt if you want, and theres always tea and coffee. Manny who works there is absolutely wonderful. Friendly and willing to accommodate to anything that you need. I saw him briefly on my first visit, and when I came back for the second one, he remembered me! I felt very welcomed.
My husband and I Enjoyed are stay here at the Econo Lodge Inn! We stayed for 4 nights . Manny the owner and his wonderful Wife and Children made me feel at home! Rooms were very clean and kept up everyday! Ive stayed in some ritzy places and would stay here anytime! Prices were great and the hospitality was great! We look forward to coming back! I highly recommend for anyone to stay here! Good luck and keep up the good work! Continental Breakfast was nice also!
Conveniently located next to CMAC. Otherwise, I was slightly disappointed given the price, even though it was a concert night. I expected the room to have been more recently updated. The room clean in general but due to normal wear and tear over the years it felt a little less clean. The DirecTV package was a nice plus, and AC worked fine.
The poorly fitted door, which led directly to the parking lot, would not allow the security lock to engage, a major concern. It also allowed significant road noise to be heard. The mattress provided little support. Between the noise and poor mattress, we did not sleep very well. It appeared that there were renovations in progress since the big box store label was still on the exterior door. They need to find a contractor with better skills. Would think twice before returning.
It was a pleasure staying at the Econo-Lodge in Canandaigua. We couldnt of chose a better place. Professional friendly service. Reasonably priced. Fresh bedding and bright white towels. Huge comfortable king size bed. Minimal noise. Close to great grocery store celebrating their 100th year Wegmans. Breakfast was well - balanced with fruit, yogurt, waffles, and 2 types of cereal. To drink orange juice and milk. Stop by- lay your head down - relax and enjoy being spoiled during your stay. We did.
I stayed at this hotel for one night in the Jacuzzi room. Apparently, they had just installed a motion activated light at the entrance to the room. The problem with this light is that there was no override. So every time I moved, this bright light would come on, even in the middle of the night. I called Management and I was told that the law required that light and that there was nothing they can do. Also, the place had Stink bugs!
Very clean and comfortable accommodations. Breakfast included make-your-own waffles: fun and delicious. Traffic noise due to hotels Near-the-highway location. The noise didnt bother us, but guests who might be disturbed could ask for a room in the back of the building. Convenient to Applebees, Dennys, Subway, and fast food outlets. Close to CMAC performing arts center, and to lovely walks and restaurants in downtown Canandaigua. Well definitely book here again on our next visit.
Lodge is in the process of being updated. Basic comfortable rooms. Somehow in the process of reserving a room I was confirmed for two rooms. The manager said it was my fault ( not sure ), but in light of customer satisfaction, he would adjust the billing. So far nothing has been done and my emails were not answered.Wont recommend until billing is adjusted.
This place was an absolute nightmare. First off the room had spiders everywhere. Not the cute little jumping spiders ohhh Noo. Big ugly brown recluse looking spiders. We rented the room for a week, arriving on Sunday night. By Monday at 3am I was sitting in the nearest ER with welts all over my body. The ER doctor said it looked like a rash. By Wednesday morning at 5:30am I was back with even bigger bites and welts on both of my arms and neck. They had told me to return if my condition worsened. This time the Doctor asked more questions and thought I had bed bug bites. Once I told him I was on vacation and staying in a hotel he diagnosed me with bed bug bites. When my husband and I returned to the room we lifted the mattress pad and found ACTUAL LIVE BUGS. I posted pictures. When I went to Manny the owner he denied it even though I had caught the actual bugs and showed him the proof of the LIVE BUGS and the ER paperwork his wife then decided to start yelling at me and being extremely rude to me. Telling me and my husband and daughter they wanted us off the property within the hour. I ended up having to call the police to get my money refunded. After reading down farther in the reviews I noticed many people have complained about the same issue. But yet, Manny still swears he has no bugs. You make your own opinion. My opinion...Choice Hotels did nothing to help my family rather they made our vacation a absolute nightmare!
Cheapest chain motel in town, so our expectations were adjusted accordingly. However, maid service is weirdly poor. Maid ran in with an armload of towels, draped them around the bathroom and said youre all set. I asked if someone would be back to make the beds. Maid said, you want me to make the BEDS? To myself I said, youre the maid, youre not supposed to ask that, but to the maid I merely said, yes, make the beds.To the hotel manager: tell the maid shes supposed to make the beds.
Well I booked my room, two months in advance and I drive seven and a half hours after dealing with car problems from Vermont to New York. I even called the manager, mentioning myself by name and he said it was fine, I could check in. Well seven hours later, my friends and I arrive, exhausted. And were told that my reservation was never booked and they didnt even bother to help us out. I am never booking here or online again.
The Inn is brand new and clean as a whistle. The price is great and the rooms are updated and spotless. The staff are great and really friendly and the continental breakfast is a great bonus.Close to everything you need, this is the place to stay!John Arnold- Stoney Creek Ontario
For the first time I did not print out my confirmation number and amount for room. I was quoted a much higher price per night. Staffs only response was Show me your confirmation number and I can help you.I called the choice 8oo number and the person not only couldnt understand English but he couldnt speak. After being told I was not in their system he hung up on me. Another call made and again the staff couldnt understand or speak English. I asked where he was and his response was Central America WHAT???? It was midnight by now and all of a sudden this man found me in the system at the rate quoted 1 1/2 hour earlier in the lobby. Just too wierd. Our room was very filthy!!! I took photos of all the issues torecord our stay. I would never reccomend this place!!!
I just wanted to say that this was my return staying here and brought my 2 sisters and niece which was their first time. If I had to give a bigger review I would! The place is immaculate and very homey! They make you feel like family! This is where I and my family will stay when we come to Canandaigua! You are close to everything in Canandaigua! TYVM for Our stay and hospitality! Again I stayed and updated and even nicer then before if that is possible. I love staying here. Warm and feel so safe and comfortable. Hospitality excellent. This is the only place I stay when I visit.
We arrived ate at the hotel. The room appeared clean but upon further inspection there were millipedes & spiders all over the room & in the sheets. I took pictures as proof. There was also food under the bed. They gave me a $20 discount & said thats all they could do. So gross!!
My stay at the Econo Lodge in Canadaigua was very good with no problems. The only thing that I was dissatisfied with was the continental breakfast, which was very lean with no eggs or meat. I ended up deciding to go to McDonalds instead. One thing that may effect others is there is no semi truck parking. I didnt try the wifi as there was good cell service.
BED BUGS!!!!!! I fell asleep and woke up to feeling a bug crawling on my arm. I scrambled to turn on the light switch and hopped out of the bed only to find that the bed was INFESTED with BED BUGS! There had to be at least 40 (that I could see) and this was no slight infestation... It was complete neglect from ownership...these bed bugs were huge and this room must have been infested with them for a while! After going to get the owner at 3am and showing him the bed his response was holy moly! And then told me its not their fault, its their exterminators fault and I said well you change the sheets dont you!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Bed bug motel! Its even in the newspaper. Dont ever stay here!! Erin Silk at the health department’s district office in Geneva told the Messenger in a May 29 email: “On May 14, the Geneva Office for the New York State Department of Health confirmed the presence of bed bugs in a room at the Econolodge located at 4232 State Routes 5 & 20, Canandaigua, NY after receiving an insect complaint. All potentially affected rooms were removed from service while being treated by a pest control professional. The Geneva Office received confirmation on May 16 that the rooms were successfully treated and subsequently evaluated by a pest control company which found no further evidence of pests and therefore the hotel was given permission to reopen those rooms.”
I reserved a room over the phone and when I got there at 9:50 pm to check in the attendant that reserved the room for me had given it to someone else, they didnt even bother to call or text me that the room was given to someone else, instead having me drive all the way there only to find out I had nowhere to stay. Do not trust these people.
Perfect hotel for my traveling needs, especially when attending a concert at the GMAC Performing Arts Center in Canandaigua, New York, most of all! I can park my car at the hotel, then walk over to the performing arts center and/or restaurants in Canandaigua, especially on the lakefront most of all, and have a most pleasant and enjoyable time, asBill Bates

2022-05-27The room was clean, well maintained, and recently renovated. The staff was friendly and helpful! We locked ourselves out of our room almost immediately after check in, and were helped promptly. You cant beat the prices, either! Thank you so much, we will come again!

2022-05-17Used this hotel for the first weekend in May to visit the Rochester Lilac Festival. It was about 40 minutes from the festival, but worth it for the amount of money we saved. Their price was 1/3 the price of hotels closer (that were anywhere from $600-$700 for 2 nights)Its location is just outside Canandaigua, close to restaurants, parks and trails. The young woman at the front desk was very nice! Full of smiles! The room didnt have a trash can (because they had just finished renovation on it and probably just missed that detail) but when we asked it was brought right up to the room! The place is actively being renovated. I dont know what it was like before, but we love what it is now, and it will be our yearly hotel when visiting the Lilac Festival.

2022-03-20Hotel was about 9 miles from the turnpike. Nice room for the price paid. Will definitely stay here again if in the area.

2021-11-13Good rooms for the price. Minor issues, plug in bathroom didn’t work and was there for a wedding so getting ready was difficult. Also not enough parking on payment. Had to park on sloped area with stones and in my dress and heels it was difficult to walk through it. Breakfast was just danish, cold cereal fruit and yogurt. Wish they had juice for those of us who don’t drink coffee. Over good experience though.

2021-08-24The overall experience was good. The room was clean and neat. It was a little difficult to turn in to the location of the hotel (especially the left hand turn, no turning lane). It was quiet and peaceful. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

2021-07-30The staff was friendly, reaponsive, and accommodating. I felt taken care of. The room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioner was easy to use. The room amenities -- iron and ironing board, microwave, refridgerator, blow dryer, coffee maker -- all were welcome and useful. The location suited my plans well, and parking was easy.
