Eden Wok in other cities:
I knew the food was only fair, but there was an expanded menu for the Nine Days, so I tried it again. Big mistake. The table was dirty. The waitress made two errors. I asked if one entree came with rice. She said yes, but the dish did not really come with rice. For another entree, there were two sizes and I ordered the small. The waitress acknowledged that, but when the bill arrived I saw that I was charged for a large. When I pointed this out to the the waitress, she said that the cash register is programmed to only allow charging for the large, and there was no way to charge us for a small. Conclusion: It will be a long time before I step foot in that restaurant again. I gave 2 stars because the food was not terrible.
I am usually not one to write bad reviews but gave this place a second shot before deciding to share.Food is bland, I ordered two different Chinese dishes and neither had any flavor. Sauce is watered down and vegetables are overcooked and mushy. I have never had Chinese food that didn’t taste like anything until I ordered from here. Even the chicken and beef taste like it was boiled. My husband got the sushi and he said that was good but the cooked food is a hard pass.
Excellent ! I highly reccomend for all to try. Customer Service is fantastic. The food is fantastic and the taste is excellent. The variety choices of food is great from beef dishes, chicken dishes, vegetable dishes and more. You can always ask the waiters, waitress or the manager for suggestions. The parking is great.
My husband and I unfortunately did not have the best experience here in regards to some of the dishes we ordered. We spoke to the individual in charge that evening (the manager was not around) and he said that he eats those items all the time and they’re completely fine. We did not feel it was worth it to argue and of course paid the bill regardless. It’s disappointing because I used to love Eden Wok in Manhattan but did not have the same experience here. The owner did reach out later on to remedy the situation which we very much appreciated!
1 star is too high a rating for the food here. If you have never eaten Asian food than this could possibly be considered gourmet food. However, there was relatively no redeeming quality to the food. The food had no flavor. Everything was flat. The Tom Ka Gai was lacking coconut milk, curry paste actually anything in anyway resembled the flavors of Thailand. The same was true of the Penang Red Curry, not only was there no flavor to the curry, the beef was boiled (should be stir fried) and had the consistency of flanken. The chow fan was also lacking flavor, there was no approximation of any Chinese flavors. No hoisin sauce no soy sauce no ginger. The rice was however cooked well.
Worst service ever. Even as good as the food is, it is not good enough to make up for management that lies about your order being out for delivery when it is still sitting in the restaurant. What was projected to be a 30 minute delivery took 2 hours. Then they blamed it on the delivery service to which they link from their own webpage. When told that I ordered from the link on their own webpage, the manager told me I didnt have to order when I saw it took me to a different URL. From now on, Ill just start at another URL for another restaurant. This one is not worth the trouble.
Sesame chicken with “regular fried rice” $24?!!!No way Jose. The guy on the phone was extremely rude & hung up on me when I asked if they have a regular lunch special for the meal I ordered because $24 was way too much money for just sesame chicken and fried rice.0/10 don’t recommend this place at all
Very good and fast service. Very attentive. There was a big party ahead of us and they went out of their way to get our orders first so that we wouldnt have to wait. The food itself was correct Chinese, had right presentation and flavours. Only detail is that dumplings were a bit doughy and a little light on meat, that would be my only complaint.
There arent very many kosher restaurant options in the area, which is surprising. The sushi is okay, certainly not the best Ive ever had. The dishes are hit or miss. I liked the chow fun, but it was a little cold when I got it. Also, theres all-you-can-eat buffet on Monday nights.
My husband and I use to eat here a couple of years ago. However, what turned us away is when my husband found a dead baby roach in his veil fried rice. We were refunded our money but never returned to eat here again. Also if you look at their Food Hygiene Rating and reports, you would see that they are very poor when it comes to handling food and it said that things were left unsanitary. Hopefully they’ve made change since then.
Please dont waste your money at this restaurant. The food its horrible!. They are overpriced!., u dont get what u paid for. A total disgrace to Asian cuisine. A normal Chinese restaurant will 5 stars with me, i gave this one a 1 star., just so that I could write down this review. A restaurant like this should not!! Exist!!!.Seriously, dont waste your money.
We have been to the restaurant on several occasions and love it every time. The tastes and variety will satisfy everyone.Today I picked up food to bring home for our sons 32nd birthday. There were 9 adultsand 6 kids ranging in age from 1-16.The amount of food that Josh packed up for us was more than enough althougheveryone just kept eating.Everything was perfect, right up to and including the fortune cookies.
My sister and her family are modern orthodox. We go here ocasionally for convenience. The food is good, the attitude from the waitress is vile. She makes you feel like shes doing you a favor. Im sure that, if another place like this opened and the food was good, this place would shut down because of their piss-poor attitude - Joe G, Danbury, CT.
Okay where to start..I wish I could give this place less than one star. Lets start with the fact that my delivery took over 2 hours to arrive..when the food finally arrived the driver rang the door bell and within 5 seconds he just left the food on my outdoor steps (private house). By the time we opened the door he was nearly into his car. Lastly...dogs deserve better food than what we received. I tried the pepper steak and there was two pieces of meat and the rest was all vegetable, not to mention the taste was horrendous. I also ordered buffalo wings and they sent barbeque. The entire order was a disaster and everything tasted bad. Even the egg roll! Needless to say I will never recommend this place nor will I eat from them again.
Upon walking in I noticed how empty it was(probably because everyone who’s been here got food poisoning). The menus smelled like urine and the guy running the place was yelling. The food was EXTREMELY OVERPRICED and tasted terrible. My whole family ended up on the toilet from food poisoning
Food is not the best service on the face Nothing is fresh there. There is nothing to look for there. The owner is very nervous and asked us to leave quickly because they close the restaurant. There is no kosher certificate. Not to go there. No cleanliness. Waitresses do not know English. Not a good place to go. And write on the Internet 10 pm they are closures and ask us to leave more magnified
I need gluten-free food and this restaurant can accommodate!!! Ask for the gluten-free with white sauce and DONT use the soy sauce. There are rice noodles, thick or thin that can be gluten-free, many dishes like Chicken Almond Ding or Pineapple Chicken or Chicken with green beans or spicy chihcken with garlic and vegetable dishes or some of the specialties that arent coated and fried or dependent on soy sauce are available. The lunch specials are cheaper, and sometimes I buy them for my freezer. The dinner portions more expensive but generous. I dont eat sushi so its there and you can have it. Now if theyd just get fried gluten free noodles Id be happy.
As we are townies, we come to Eden Wok all the time. Ask for Linda and tell them that The Foxes sent you. This is good basic American Chinese food. If you are looking for Kosher Chinese or Sushi and you are in Westchester, Eden Wok is your Number 1 and only choice! Josh is doing a good job delivering a quality product, and his staff of asian ladies is very friendly, particularly if they know you.
In a world where kosher Chinese has come to mean, fast food take out where youre paying for oil and msg and a range of menu items that are more fry than stir, EDEN Wok is one of the few sit down Glatt Kosher Chinese restaurants left, that are also actually worth sitting down in. Great food, seriously fresh, great selections that span the chefs entire pan-Asian repertoire...(pan-American too thanks to some recent--and impressive, additions on the craft burger and grill front), plus Josh the manager (and I think also owner) gives off the kind of foodie first vibe, that tells you hed be obsessing over taste, texture, quality and creativity even if he wasnt running show...in any case, if youre comfortable enough with your foodie cred, to admit you can enjoy an authentically family friendly restaurant that actually DOESNT offer a pretentious vibe with their aged steaks AND menu prices thatll age you even before adding the tip...Eden Wok will make your day

2021-10-12I ordered the sweet & sour chicken lunch special with an egg roll for about $14 takeout. The rice was hard but the chicken was cooked well with the only exception being a few hard pieces. Egg roll was mediocre. Makes sense to be a kosher influenced restaurant because the entire meal reminded me of Jewish challah.

2022-05-16Not the same as it used to be. I will start with the good: The waitress was very nice and constantly refilled our water during the meal which was much appreciated, and they have oranges and fortune cookies on the house for dessert. The not so great: The restaurant was very hot inside and uncomfortable. There was no air conditioning inside. I feel bad for the people working inside. The beef egg roll had just cabbage inside besides for one spec of beef. The beef and broccoli was almost all broccoli and had a couple of small pieces of beef. The beef was tasty, but there was very little. I came over the years and the portions used to be way bigger, so I am disappointed by that. I understand inflation is rampant right now, but they are charging an inflation surcharge which I would think help that issue. Hopefully they step it up, as this used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant to eat at.

2021-04-26Great sesame chicken. Fried rice. Egg drop wonton soup. Wontons were good but Ive had better. But the real winner... Pastrami egg roll outta this world! And prices are relatively cheap for waiter service

2021-03-16Bland and inauthentic. Items labeled as spicy are flavorless and not even slightly spicy. Ratio of meat to vegetables was 1:20 in our meat dishes. For example the szechuan chicken was just a very large bowl of greasy julienned carrots with a few tiny pieces of chicken for which we had to search. And by the way, its very expensive too. That bowl of carrots was $20. Nothing tasted good. We spent $100 and threw all the food away. Avoid this place.

2021-10-12I ordered House special Chow Mein ( Chow mein is a traditional Chinese dish made with egg noodles and stir-fried veggies) and got Rice and Meat in sweet sauce with a lot of onion. I called and was told that this is the way they make chow mein...Really????????? I will never ever order again from this restaurant!!!!

2018-07-30Decent food with decent service. We had a family outing where are number of us came in around 12:30. It took them awhile to seat us and then we were served. I think our expectations were higher for a sit-down restaurant that was completely empty but in the end the food was tasty and portions were generous, nothing extra special or extravagant.

2021-12-26Fresh food yes. Spent $55 on delivery - how bout some meat in my combo? Fried rice was brown rice & har no egg or pork. Wonton soup had 2 noodles. Seriously? I think you can do better than that.

2022-04-19Hallmark of the Westchester kosher restaurant scene. Head there for the Monday night all you can eat — their mei fun and general tso’s are the best you can find, and almost no all you can eat deal like this exists in the kosher restaurant community in North America.
