Super cool old school lodge.Beautiful views from the waterside rooms and grounds. We sat along the water and watched the sunset and boats passby.Lodge staff were very friendly and accommodating.15 minute walk into town for various restaurants and bars are you can eat at the lodge restaurant or bar.Anyone planning travel so soon after Covid should be prepared for a slight degradation in service regardless of where you are staying. All hotels and restaurants are having difficulty getting fully staffed. I have witnessed this at various hotels and restaurants I have traveled to over the past 4 weeks.

Love staying here! Bees were a bit much this year. Staff tried to spray, but it didnt help. We had a Great time! Food is great in the restaurant. Kids had a great time in the pool. Cant wait to come back.
Gorgeous views from our room. Newly remodeled rooms have a rustic natural feel. Not too fancy, yet very clean. Pool is 3ft to 4ft. on other end, perfect for my Nephews and us to cool off.Dinner was delicious! Holly our waitress was outstanding. Great weekend with my sis. Thank you so much
The resort is a family run operation. Its well over 100 years old. I found the staff to be very friendly and the grounds are very clean. There are several buildings. The building I was in hads been recently renovated and it is very comfortable. The pool was wonderful and the grounds are lovely for a morning walk. This is July, 2020 and of course it is not full this year. I wish they had spread people out more in between rooms, lots were open. I do not like it that smoking is allowed on the porches. I got stuck with smokers on both sides of my room. It prevented me from enjoying sitting outside of my room in the evening and morning. Had to keep my door closed because smoke was coming in my room.
View from dining room is beautiful, the service is awesome, the food is hit or miss. 4 fish fry, 3 great 1 fishy tasting and the burgers look like they came from Macdonalds. Server handled problem very well. Will go back again.
Stopped in for the prime rib buffet on a Saturday evening and was very pleased. The food was excellent and the wait staff was very good. Excellent selection of buffet food. The only negative was the prime rib. It was good but not prime. Over all I would definitely go back, and will. Check out the many newly remodeled rooms also
Came in to town on a Friday in late September. We had a great breakfast on Saturday although the staff and manager seemed to have different ideas on when the buffet opened. The hotel is close enough to walk to town (a little over a mile from here to Uncle Sams). The hotel was mainly empty so we were surprised Saturday night when the room right next door became occupied by extremely loud and rowdy people and we quickly discovered that the walls are very very thin. It was annoying, but OK since it was just the two of us. It would have been awful if we had our two young kids with us. Our room had a great balcony but did not have a refrigerator. It also had a stand up shower but no tub.Overall, a positive experience.
We stayed in a room right on the water, just what we were looking for. The view was amazing. Cant wait to come back. Give this place a try. The are renovating all the while. The pool is awesome. Because of Covid, the restaurant is open Thurs-Sun, which is understandable. We were pleasantly surprised. You will be, too.
Spent the weekend and held the reception there when our daughter was married in the Thousand Islands. Beautiful location with large comfortable rooms. We stayed in the suites in the main lodge and loved every minute of it.The reception was beautiful and guests loved the buffet - prime rib was amazing!! The staff was friendly and attentive and eager to please. The owner made sure everything was in place and all ran smoothly and it was just perfect.Breakfast in the dining room on the morning of the wedding was fun (the bridal party was fairly large and had fun sneaking the bride and groom into breakfast without them seeing each other). It was especially appreciated on the morning after the wedding when the newlyweds had breakfast with their friends and family (everyone stayed at the resort) before leaving for their honeymoon.It was all wonderful. The folks at Edgewood made the event smooth and nearly effortless for us. Thank you so much!!
Have stayed here many times over the years and this trip was just to make reservations for the July 4th week making sure we could get the rooms that we like for our families
Cant rate the stay, didnt stay there. Ill say this, dont cancel your reservation after making it! I called and made a reservation and had to call less than an hour later and cancel. When I called in was told they would charge me 1/2 of the over inflated rate! because it was a rally weekend, they must think they can more than double their normal room rate. So when I asked to talk to a manager, Jeanine got on the phone and quizzed me on why and said that is their policy to charge back half. She agreed to not charge me and said, and I quote, Dont ever call back here and make a reservation again then hung up on me! Great customer relation skills! Dont worry honey, Ill take my money elsewhere when I come back up here!
What a place ! On the water of The St Lawrence River . Boating is everything - transportation , fishing and fun . The property is spectacular . Lots of things to do . Really really really LOVED this Resort .
The room was clean, the staff friendly and the views were spectacular. However...my purse was stolen out of my closet. And the best they could do was claim that the woman who cleaned my room, (I was on the porch enjoying my coffee), was that she had been there foryears and was an excellent employee!!. Im not saying this particular person stole it. I am saying it was in the closet Thursday evening and not there Saturday night when I was packing.
First class resort.Location is ideal for exploring the area.Rooms were clean and modern.Staff was very friendly and attentive to any special needs.Restaurant was great food was fresh and service was friendly and swift.

Food was good should give a little bit more sauce with the lasagna was a little on the dry side but it was good nine salad bar
I normally dont write reviews. I had to write one for the excellent waitress we had her name was Holly ! She was more than the average waitress! As a business owner my self I know how hard it is with finding help that is as professional and hospitable as she and the staff at Edgewood. Thank you for the great meal! And even better was our experience!
Nothing was open...to eat we had to go out and find a place...think I should have gotten a discount on my bill because of the inconvenience, was there for a wedding and little time to run around looking for a place to eat.
Great people at the front desk. The property was fantastic. Room was very nice and comfortable. We had a great view of the river and had one of the best times on our summer vacation at the Edgewood. Will be back again for sure.

Extremely nice and friendly staff , however I would be remiss if I did not bring up the fact that the rooms in the particular Wing I was in are extremely dated. As you can see in the photo there is a old style TV and apparently they must believe that USB is a port in Thailand cuz I couldnt find one in the entire room.
Friday night Seafood Buffet was FABULOUS! They had everything! Crab legs, shrimp, mussels, clams, perfect Seafood Newburg, baked haddock, and so much more, plus super desert buffet with so many choices! The Edgewood never disappoints! Would recommend to anyone!
Loved the lodge park like, spread out over quite a few Acres with Riverview balconies, old world made new. In House Restaurant very family-oriented and great food. Ultra clean rooms and the best service.
Checkin time was late due to the room not being cleaned. No mini fridge in a supposed top quality room, and wifi is practically non existent. Dont waste your money on staying here.

Not impressed !No restaurant, no bar, no fridge or microwave, because they were open only on weekend YET there was no reduction in our rate !I feel it is quite expensive for what you get.We did not know this until we were checking in.Staff very nice. Beautiful location.

My meal was prepared to perfection, and the service was even better. The staff is trained well. The restaurant was clean and tastefully decorated. The owner pays attention to details and shows pride in the business.

Building seemed nice enough. Drinks were over priced and service took awhile. Service was most likely due to the size of our group compared to the number of servers. I probably wouldnt pick this venue on my own for an event.

Our military ball was held there. I attended some of the planning meetings. I ordered the vegetarian plate. First, just because your a vegetarian doesn’t mean you do not eat food. I got OVERCOOKED vegetables that I could have bought a steamer bag for at the grocery store for $1 over UNCOOKED rice. Needless to say I did not eat. Then I rented a suite to the tune of $365!!! I have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world and not paid what I paid for this room that was sub par at best. No hot water in the shower. No coffee pot or coffee. The carpet was coming off the floor and buckling. The “jacuzzi” tub was FILTHY. The TV was pixelated and fuzzy. I could not WAIT to leave. DO NOT STAY HERE AND DO NOT HAVE AN EVENT HERE. I was VERY excited about this event and the location until I actually attended the event and stayed in the hotel.

This was the worst hotel experience that my husband and I have ever experienced. We booked a room because my husbands squadron was having their military ball there. At the end of the night when we went to our bedroom, we could literally hear EVERY word the couple next to us was saying. The walls were literally paper thin. I went to talk to the front desk and let them know we were just going to leave and asked for a refund or at least discount and she refused. I went back to the bedroom and my husband was already packing up because the couple next door was having more than a conversation now... if you know what I mean and we could hear every second of it. We went back to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. The manager on duty looked like a bartender. He was wearing an apron and my husband swears he was drunk. He was extremely rude and basically said that because we were part of a military group, were expected to be rowdy. He didnt understand that we didnt care about people having fun and being loud but we shouldnt hear EVERYTHING that was happening in the room next to us. He said that his manager just left who could give the refund so I asked him to call her and he laughed and said he wasnt calling her about this. What a slap in our faces. We had to walk away at that point because we were so dumbfounded that we were being treated like that. We never got a refund. DO NOT STAY HERE.
I am sorry to say I have nothing good to report on the Edgewood Resort. I have traveled Canada and the US and stayed in some very upscale and not so fancy accommodations, but most had at the least a coffee maker and most a continental breakfast , not so at the Edgewood. Unfortunately I was late booking in the bay, and being the labour day week end Edgewood was a last resort (no pun intended) that I was able to book. Room charges were above average for no amenities.
Nice room had a $400 a night room but the drapes wouldnt open and the ac wouldnt work not sure why but we didnt have a coffee maker :( but one waitress was nice enough to hook us up
Not great! Beautiful facilities but missing the basics. No fridge in room, no microwave. Had left over dinner and had to throw it out. Dinner, $45 was not great!
Friendly staff. Dinner was good and plentiful. Some of the amenities were dated but clean. A more casual atmosphere than i expected but good time.

We are staying here for Labor Day weekend in unit 318. Immaculately clean and just perfect for our stay. The balcony is a perfect touch as the channel view is gorgeous! Ships going by that you could almost touch! We will be back and have loved it!
Didn’t appreciate heavy construction onsite on July 4th, considering I paid premium for a local business. There was poor performance by restaurant cooks and waitstaff

Pricy, hot tub was empty and full of leaves, pool was nasty not kept, room was nice overall, google maps location is wrong. Balcony access was locked also. No breakfast, no bar after 9. Place to sleep when in town thats about it.

2022-06-05Stopped into eat, was a half hour before the restaurant opened, Charles (the manager) opened the restaurant early for us , the food was probably the best we have had in actual A-bay, he was very entertaining, loved his job, and was downright pleasant, which is (seemingly) very rare in the service industry these days.. he even had Danielle open a room for us to see what the newly renovated rooms looked like as i had explained that try as i might, online it always shows the resort as no rooms available (he said to just call as website is stupid) ... Rooms were gorgeous and the balcony was ACTUALLY right over the water.. the balcony was almost porch size , wayyyy bigger than the other hotels in the area, ... Bottom line, hands down i will be staying here from now on instead of the usual places... 5 STARS

2022-06-25I would give negative stars if possible. My wife and I went to the restaurant on 6/24/22. Having eaten there before we were expecting a good meal. We had the seafood buffet and were sorely disappointed. The food was processed and out of a freezee bag. Everything was sub par and an hour after eating felt very sick. Calling management the next day my wife was very rudely and unprofessionaly treated. Needless to say we will never go there again. Negative-5 rating.

2022-06-05The rooms very cleaned call the office and got a microwave and with in the hour they brought us one and there is dinning on certain days just have to ask very friendly place store just a few min from hotel food up here is pricey so expect to pay a little more but the experience was awesome will be back oh yeah this place has a out door pool we couldnt use it because of the cool weather we will be back

2021-06-26Staff was by far one of the nicest, friendliest, and funniest I have ever had at a restaurant. And by staff, I do mean everyone working there. I can not say enough nice things about this great staff.The view is amazing.The food was outstanding. We were a party of 10 and most of us got the buffet. Everyone said the food was great.

2021-06-14Terrible service. We came in (6 people) during the manager’s brother’s wedding and apparently we were the least of his worries while he was drinking on the job. We waited an hour before getting our salads. After waiting an hour and a half and only seeing our waitress twice (once for delivering drinks and taking and when she delivered our salads. When we asked if we could have our food to go, we were told “that’s your decision”. So obviously that upset is so we just decided to leave with no food at all. The manager kept making comments that it was our choice and told us “it’s just an ironic funny thing that’s happened”. Very rude manager and over worked wait staff while he gets drunk.
