Edward Condon, MD, FACE in other cities:
I have been at Dr. Condons office for a few years. I met today as I mostly do with Janine whom I see most visits. Janine very caring and competent and has lowered my A1C to a 7. I have been a diabetic for several years with Janines expertise in this field she has helped me to finally lower my A1C. Thank you Janine. Janet G.
I have been going there for many years. Everyone is great. My only problem is there are so many people I never know who to talk to. I have finally picked one person and direct all my emails to her. The other thing is sometimes I get calls and cannot make out persons name who left message. So back to that one person. Haha
A very professional, friendly and thorough office. Everyone showed concern and care for each patient. I was given feedback from my previous visits and tests. In addition, they were more than efficient in scheduling future follow up visits and sent the results to my other doctors to whom I requested.I have been a patient with Dr. Condon and his medical staff for many years and have never been disappointed with the care that I have received.
I rethought this review. While I appreciate the expertise of the NP and techs, I do find the waiting room situation a mess. They are extremely lax about Pandemic precautions and because their patients are already health compromised they should be more vigilant. The waiting room gets too crowded. There are no social distancing signs on chairs or cleaning in between the steady flow of patients. I bring my own sanitizing wipes for the chair. The receptionists are very harried. Some have Face masks not covering the nose and they seem to be oblivious that there’s a cluster of patients grabbing forms, signing in and making appts at the reception desk. The doctor is NEVER there either. So I’m rethinking going back to this office.
Dont bother making an appointment here. First of all, I never met or seen Dr. Condon. This man is never in the office. I was seeing Joyce at the time. She was great. The office manager sucks. I was over charged twice. They kept messing up my appointments. They said they sent a notice to me twice. They sent the notices to the wrong address. I tried to get through several times and could not. I left messages several times. nI never received a call back. A month later. I got through. Mind you... I needed to be seen a month ago. I finally reach them. They tell me I was discharge from Dr. Condons care (A man who I dont even know) for no shows and no contact. Thats when they told me about the notices they sent. I asked them what address they sent it to. It was the wrong one. I hit the roof and found a more professional Endocrinologist to treat me. I have no complaints.
They helped me find a better drug for my type II diabetes when I first went to them five years ago, but their ongoing care is awful. I saw Dr. Condon once. Over the next five years I saw a different NP every time I went. My blood sugar levels were good, but my b12 and vitamin D levels were low. They left me on a high level of vitamin D too long. By the time they caught it, I was nearly at toxic levels. They are sloppy. They are unresponsive. They are impossible to reach by phone and their website stinks. The NPs spend no more than five or ten minutes with each patient. Their actions are knee-jerk at best, based solely on your bloodwork and your weight. What they do is so thoughtless and impersonal, it could be done by a machine. The last time I was there, the NP didnt even make eye contact with me. She just read from her laptop and renewed my prescriptions. Im trying a new endocrinologist now and it has been impossible getting my medical records from Condons office to the new endocrinologist. I think Condons office stinks. It seemed better at first, but now its just a mill. I wouldnt recommend anyone to them.
Last appointment was a breeze. In error I arrived at the office 1 hour early and the folks at the front desk squeezed me in soon than scheduled so I did not need to wait another hour in the office for my original appointment time. I also screwed up my referral from my primary but we got that squared away. I usually see one of the nurse practicioners which I am fine with. I dont have serious medical issues so reviewing my lab blood results, at least in my view, doesnt require Condon. Yeah, the office can be hectic but Ive always been treated respectively. Gods truth. Been a patient for 5 years.
The service at this practice is horrible. Other than the front desk staff that are overworked and try their best behind them are people who don’t respond to questions or help you once you leave the office. The nurse practitioners are rude and run your charts like a money wheel. Your lucky if you get to see the all mighty Dr E Condon who acts the all mighty. And heaven forbid they think you fall out line and ask too many questions watch out. As they won’t return your calls or fill your scripts.
Ive had the worst experience with this doctor. Id been to his office 4 times and never even met the doctor himself. It was always meetings with nurses and assistants. I had blood work done before going to him. They told me they cannot accept outside bloodwork because they dont trust the results and had to have another one. A few days later they called up and to tell me there is some abnormality in the results. But to be certain they said I have to redo the test. After the second time, they never called back. I left a few voice messages, and finally someone called back to tell me we dont call if the results are normal. So now I dont know which test is more accurate. The first one or the second one. I would never go back there and I try to find a way to report this to my insurance company.
I went to the office today after being recommended to see the Doctor. I was told that I can not see the Doctor on my first visit, which I was okay with. I instead saw a Nurse Practitioner. I was asking very valid questions and she could barely answer any of them. She could not explain the protocol of the office and the way things are done the first time. She was standoffish when I tried to ask her questions about how I wanted to possibly be treated. She told me I only had two options in treatment. She could not explain why she was running specific tests or why I only had two treatment options so I decided to walk out and no longer go through with the appointment. I then spoke to the office manager who I believe is Greg who decided it was okay to speak to me with micro aggressions and in a belittling manner by asking if “I was a Doctor” and saying he didn’t like my “tone of voice” when I was clearly upset about the lack of help. I have a background in the medical field and am looking to further my training. I am also a woman and a person of color so I do my research before I enter a doctors office so that I have an understanding of what’s best for me and MY body and how the recommended treatment will help me. When I stated this he instantly got offended asking what my skin color and sex had to do with anything. If he actually did his own research he would know being a person of color can change the way a patient is treated and certain biases are often present in treatment. He then told me the research publications that I read are wrong and that I do not have training in reading them properly. I had to explain to him that there were multiple times where I used research to ask Doctors questions about my treatment and that research is effective if done right. He insisted that their providers including Doctor Condon will not entertain questions based on research because only they know what works. They will not tailor a personal treatment for you, but just the same treatment as everyone else. The office manager himself thinks he is a Physician with the way he talks to patients. It’s is completely unacceptable in 2020. They need to do better.
Unfortunately after being a patient of Dr. Condon’s for a few months I have chose not to return to his practice. I have a very rare endocrine autoimmune illness and when calling the doctor for an emergency situation he gave me faulty information that if it wasn’t for my internist, I could have been extremely ill or worse. When I had to cancel an appointment I told the staff that I was unsure if I would return since he is so unfamiliar with my illness but, I would follow up to let them know. A few days letter I received a scathing letter from the office informing me that I’m no longer welcome to make appointments and could reach out to the doctor for emergency situations only for the next 30 days. I called the office manager to ask why I received this when I’ve never had an issue with their office previously and she completely disregarded me telling me “not to read into the letter”. How can you not read into it when it states for you to not come back? She then told me that I am welcome back as long as the general manager approves me and went on to more unimportant information where she continued to take zero accountability for their behavior. I’ve never had an issue with a doctors office in my life nor have I received such a nasty letter and had a conversation with an office manager who lacks self awareness and accountability. At this time I will not be returning to their office. If you have a rare disease, this may not be the doctor for you. Some positive things I will add, the front desk is extremely friendly and if you have rare illnesses the doctor pays some extra attention to you where you might normally just see a nurse practitioner.I hope this is helpful and I sincerely hope that if the office manager comes across this that she takes my words as an opportunity for personal growth and development rather than getting offended.
I come to this practice for a Metabolism issue. I had gastric bypass 20 years ago list weight but then it all started coming back on. Nothing I did made it right. A friend told me about Dr. Condon so I tried it. They were able to get my metabolism to work correctly and I am back to the weight I should be.
This review is in regards to the front desk. I was waiting at the lab to receive script from them for 1.5 hours. It never arrived. They never faxed script despite my multiple calls and promises it will be sent. I had to drive physically to the office and pick up a piece of paper then return back to lab to take my test. Very bad service.
This place used to be good. Endocrinologist doesnt treat lipids now??2.5 weeks to call in my script? My insurance and my PCP had to call them! My levels went from 6.7 to 7.5. They were on vacation!! Seriously? And I just reviewed my bloodworks, taken at nearly the exact same time they tested me. Guess what? It was 6.1 !!! So they are also INCOMPETENT!!! They had me waiting and scared for 3 weeks, so I dont feel bad stiffing them by missing my appointment, YOURE FIRED!!!
This place is a nightmare , don’t go they careMore about billing out for diagnosis that aren’t even accurate they toldMy family member they were diabetic and prescribed medication we decided to go to stony Brook for a second opinion they said absolutely not diabetic and definitely do not take the medication. The office was not following covid protocols it was dirty and very few staff members wearing mask .One staff member Marybeth was so rude and condescending glad we switched practices !!
I am giving this one star only for the fact that their billing practices are horrible. The doctors are great, the nurses are great and I dont blame them. However, you shouldnt send people into collections without notice then when they contact you or you contact them to set up a payment option you accuse them of forgetting details or making up lies when there was someone with them at the office each time. That is not good form, especially now with the current situation being as it is for everyone around the world.
This office may be very busy at times, but that is because they are GREAT! Dr. Condon is a very knowledgeable doctor with a great bedside manner. All the PA’s are also very knowledgeable and very caring. They really make you feel that you matter. They do not judge you they are empathetic and truly caring. I highly recommend this office.
I like the fact that I never have a long wait and the staff are always courteous & professional. Yet, my only complaint is, where is Dr.Condon? I realize his schedule is busy; however, it would be nice if we could acknowledge each other once in a while. Thank you & God bless.
As a patient of Edward M. Condon I was not able to talk to the doctor himself and after my appointment when I called to have prescriptions put in for me (insulin and glucose sensors) I was put through to voicemail and did not get a call back for three days.As an experiment try calling this office right now, you will not be able to talk to a person directly. Instead you will be put through to a voicemail. This practice is not run in way for you to get adequate care.
I have never felt the need to write a negative review before but in this case I have to. They completely dismissed chronic symptoms and implied my out of reference range levels are a normality and not even that bad. Told me to take a supplement for 6 months and wished me luck. 6 months of my life off a whim. The NP got visibly annoyed once I voiced my concerns with treatment due to the research Ive done. On top of all of this, Ive been calling for 2 weeks to fill a prescription and I cant reach anybody. I recommend anybody looking for real help to go elsewhere.
No matter which staff member Ive seen from the front desk to each Nurse Practitioner and Nutrionist, has been a positive experience. I have been a patient of Dr Condons for over 15 years. On those occasions where I have had to see the doctor, his compassion and ability to listen and field any questions and provide easy to understand advice is what stands out the most.
I was referred to this office from a patient i met from my job. I am so grateful I finally have the right Eondocronologist with whom I am satisfied. For all of these years I never felt I had a grasp on the whole thyroid thing. I an now on the correct dosage of medication and learned I wasnt taking it correctly. ALSO, I sat with the Doctor at her desk and had a one- on- one visit which is rare these days. I felt I was heard so Im giving a shout out to THE OFFICE OF DR EDWARD CONDON, MD and everyone who works there. 😁👍
I have been a patient for about 3 years. I have only seen Dr. Condon 3 times, and I am there every month and a half. Each time I am there I wait for nearly an hour past my appointment time. However the first and only time I was late, they told me they would not see me. I will be looking for a new Endo!
If I could give zero stars I would. The way this office (Commack location) treated my pregnant wife is inexcusable. The office manager Greg, showed no sympathy and actually threatened to call security on an upset pregnant woman who just needed test results. Seriously just go to a different doctor and avoid them. The office manager was unwilling to provide any help and ended up not letting her see the doctor or be helpful in any way. I wouldnt want anyone else to be treated this way.
The experience with the Nurse Practitioner, NP, was poor. We came for an appointment with Dr. Condon only to be told he wasnt available. Ours was a specific case requiring review by an endocrinologist and a (Fine Needle Aspirate) FNA and had specifically asked to see Condon. We were then told that the NP can fulfill all those functions and do a FNA if needs be. Infact, we were going to leave, but they called the manager who convinced us to see the NP( even after telling him our Doctor would like us to see the endocrinologist). So we saw this NP, who drew blood, had the USS and did not do the FNA, did not even review the USS findings with us! She goes, its kind of late in the day and she would like us to come back and see Dr Condon! I responded, we were on time ( Came in at 3.15pm and this was almost 5pm). We had asked to see Dr. Condon not an NP. And now after wasting our time and billing us for this visit, you want us to make another appointment and see Dr. Condon another day?! And that would not be a follow up visit.Obviously she lacked the knowledge to perform the procedure and come up with an assessment. Dr. Condon had to be there. Why waste my time asking me to see her then? Complete waste of time!I would advise anyone to make sure your first visit after a long time is with the endocrinologist not the NP. Save your time. Theres a reason why you have an endocrinologist versus a NP.Best of luck!
Dr. Edward Condon and staff managed by Marybeth have always been professional, courteous and caring to all my medical needs for the past 15 years. His knowledge and experience have supported all my medical decisions to date, and I value all his efforts concerning my health. Thanks again Doc for always being there for me.
Terrible!!!! Picking a doctor involves first making the appointments. After being told my kidneys were failing, I was ordered a CGM connect System. Well it’s still at home in a box because I can not get an appointment to apply it to my skin and taught how to use it. Just to get through on the phone can take 30 minutes or more. Secondly after being put on hold, I get hung up on. After another 30 minutes I finally got through and was told again that someone would call me back. Well they never do. So upon demanding a supervisor I had the misfortune of speaking to a rude and inattentive office manager Gary. Gary kept telling me to lower my voice which I assure everyone was about as low as my voice goes. He then hung up on me without resolving the situation. I’ve only been seeing this office for 3 months of which only 1 time did I meet the doctor. If you can see another physician please do. I guarantee this office will upset you and ignore your needs as it did the many others that have rated this practice with a 1.
I saw NP Jeanine she was amazing. I have a few conditions n concerns going on and she reassured me that she will get to the bottom of it. She was so comforting because my lab results had me in a frenzy. I would love to see her for all of my visits. She was very informative, resourceful and helpful.....and she let me speak while she listened. Thank you so much I enjoyed my visit. 🌻🦋🌻🦋
I have been going there for years, and I still dont understand how I am a patient their. They NEVER answer the phones. NEVER call you back with results and rarely do they send the medication the 1st time. Unbelievable. I would give them less then a star if I could. This is MY health not a game.
This place was an absolute nightmare. I felt extremely uncomfortable with their lack of precautions for the pandemic. This place doesn’t treat their employees fairly. I felt uncomfortable here and no one should be going to this office. -10 out 10 experience. Dont go here.
Workers are really nice was in and out and was very satisfied with my visit thank you ladys Dr Janine is wonderful great l was at 11.3 and 6 months later l am down to 5.6 great feeling thank you all for getting me to such a low number its been years only person to sit down and actually talk to me about my situation she is awesome thank you diabetes are under control and working to get off medication
Stay away from this place. It is a money-making place. You will never meet doctor condon, the staff is rude especially in Commack. The office manager Greg thinks that he is the doctor, he violated the HIPAA law by putting me on speaker to discuss how dangerous was my A1C in presence of other people in the office.Greg dared asking me to apologize to his rude and ignorant staff when they did not call me for 2 telephonic consultations. I waited for the calls and no one had contacted me.Doctor Condon is probably good, while being a ghost doctor, not even has the decency to meet his patients at least once, but the staff is worst , especially the office manager Greg. I am not too sure what he is managing, he is stuck in his childhood self being an imaginary doctor. This is insane.
Before I give my review on Dr. Condon and his office manager Jason. I FIRE YOU from being one of my healthcare providers. I have never had a worse experience with any of my other Doctors. I could go on all day but wont. The only reason I stayed for so many years was pure convenience and that you used to have a great PA. I wish you could remember me but you never met me in the 7 years I was under your care. When I looked at your rating I was not surprised that you have so many bad reviews.
If I could do negative stars I would, I’ve never felt so neglected by a practice in my entire 19 years on earth. If you want to go to a doctors office that will make you feel entirely worthless, Dr Condon’s office is right for you! The name “Edward Condon” has become synonymous with poor care, neglect, and carelessness. When you say you are a patient of “Edward Condon” to people in public you are instantly met with condolences and shared stories about how they were a patient, then soon after transferred to a more competent facility. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere before you are roped in for life.
Past 1 year I was going there but I never met at once Dr. condo. Who is he? Is he a Real doctor or ghost doctor. They are more interested in fallow the NewYork state laws rather then Patient. I am surprise that they completely refuse and denied to take 67 year old patient because missed appointments.... even fault by their system on the top of it Commenting and threatening existing patient history. Please don’t go there at all they have no care at all about patient they do care about NewYork state law and their unresponsive health provider. How can doctor denies to take patient to miss the appointment even it’s there office fault? On the top of it they think that computer is person and can’t have errors. We should run our life according to Their Business. “NewYork state law if patient didn’t show up 3 appointments doctors can denied to take patient”........ According to their office laws.please don’t ask anything request or try to convince them otherwise they will call the cops on you even you are existing Customer....They thread me 4 time to call the cops on me.
RUDE AND NASTIEST FRONT DESK AND MANAGMENT EVER!! I have been to this office a few times. Today I went in for an overdue follow up. The receptionist told me If i was aware of my $5o broken appointment fee and I told her no, I have never missed an appointment. She looked at me with the nastiest attitude , scoffed at me and gave me an update for to fill out. ON check out she let the other lady check me out, and the other one said the same thing and My reply was still the same.I have never missed an appointment, She got up and got the manager both of them with that stupid look on their face totally wanting to cause a problem. So Graig or Craig Mr. Muscle man comes out and obviously he had fans (the two middle aged receptionist) sits down and tells me that I have missed 4 appointments. Then he starts to print the check out forms with the next visit written on them from my previous check out as if that is going to convince me that I am wrong. He then continues to argue with me as another patient is sitting right next to us listening to the whole thing. I kept telling him that I called to cancel that appointment because first it was in Medford and it was way to far for me and never rescheduled because my days off did not coincide with their office hours in Commack which is closer to me. I told him it seemed like a misunderstanding if he can waive it and he said NO, I am not going to waive the fee as ( it #1) and (it #2) stood behind him with their arms crossed for back up. I said Im not paying a fee for an appointment i did not miss and then I said then I am not coming back as a patient. I had not even completed my sentence yet and he tells it #1 to send me a dismissal letter and tells (it #2)to send me to collections. I am baffled as to how this man is a manager. he handled this whole situation so poorly and unprofessional. If you have patients walking out angry and leaving the practice as a manager you have failed at your job. I called back to speak to his boss and the receptionist JB (It # 1) tells me I can only speak to him he apparently is also the owner and has no boss that is above him. I am a patient that goes to them for treatment because I am ill, not to sit there and be ridiculed by petty office workers over an error. That is why there is different receptionist s there everytime I go in and from the way he manages that office I can see why. Google Reviews do not lie....
Horrible DO NOT GO THERE! The girls are very cruel mean! I went to the office 2 years now and the last time I was in there tthey changed my appointment time from 630 to 615 without notifying me. When I went in at exactly 630 the NP refused to see me because she had other plans. Then another patient came in after me and said they had a 600 but they changed it to 630 for her cause she was running late. So that is what happened to my appointment. And I left there upset with a rescheduled appointment. The next business day I got a letter stating they are concerned for my health but they refuse to be my physician. If they were concerned they would have seen me that day. They dont care. Also lots of fraud at this office they bill for services they do not provide! Save time and money dont go there!
I went to Dr.Condon’s Medford office and at first I was so happy they all seemed nice & caring but my meds were never ordered day after day , I’ve been diagnosed with hypothyroidism & needed my Synthroid upped I was completely out of my meds & was told it was the fault of CVS when that was a lie because I finally called teledoc and it was electronically ordered and taken care of and 10 minutes!! I continued to try to get to the bottom of it & and was told they would look into it and get back to me they never did /sadly this office can not be trusted with your health!!!
Im a new patient of Dr Condons office. I went there because I was referred by my PCP to see an Endocrinologist to go back on TRT. I chose this practice because I know some people who go here. The staff and the practitioner I had was honestly amazing. The staff is VERY nice and the practitioner, she knew her stuff and is very knowledgeable! I also really like how they do all the blood work right in the office, and you dont have to goto a lab to get it done. I have to go back in 3 months to get my levels rechecked once I start my TRT in about a week when my labs come back. Its DISGUSTING how people can write such negative reviews! I will recommend some of my family and other friends to come here as well. Every time one of the nurses called a patient back into the clinical area they asked the patient how are you? Not one of them gave them an answer. Now thats disrespectful!
Dr Condon is very knowledgeable and open to, and patient with questions; yes they are extremely busy and it’s difficult to get an appointment with him but that’s because he is very much in demand ; I do get frustrated when I can’t reach them, but the wait is very much worth it
I went to their office for a thyroid issue I developed early in my pregnancy. At my second visit during a weight check, the PA (not the one I saw initially - with whom I felt comfortable) said “you’ve gained weight since your last visit”. Ya think?!? Clearly showing at 24 weeks, I had to remind her that I was pregnant. Perhaps if she took the time to look at my chart, she would have known. I also found it strange that I had to wait until my next visit to learn the results of my bloodwork - especially if there was a deficiency or change. Any other doctor that has checked my vitamin D levels calls when its low so I can make changes immediately - not wait 6 weeks to tell me and then another 6 weeks to see if it has improved. I just never felt comfortable with their level of care or professionalism.
WORST OFFICE doesnt deserve not 1 star !!!!! Maria ( the manager) refused to speak to me on the phone. Front desk did not mute phone and I overheard her saying she was not dealing with the patient! What kind of manager are you! My mother has been waiting over a week for an prior-auth to be submitted. Spoke to every single on of the front desk staff, none of them helped,!. Im still waiting for a call back from Greg, Maria, Rachel, and the list goes on and on Please stay away from this office, as you will be very frustrated! This office is extremely unprofessional. I really liked the physician and PA but unfortunately front desk and so call manager sucks!
Jason the office manager is horribly rude. The day they told me I had a prolactinoma (a tumor in my brain ) he said sorry lady but we need payment... because I had no idea my insruance didnt pick up extra spots. My primary is treating me until I find an endo because this place is horrible. I will say however the patchogue medford location secretary staff is amazing!!!!
The entire staff including the office staff, the dieticians, the Nurse Practitioners and Doctor Condon were a pleasure to speak with; besides their remarkable professionalism and patience, they exuded such confidence that one came away feeling that they were very knowledgeable and that:their recommendations were sound and you would be ok,
This office has the rudest, nastiest staff I have ever seen in my life. I had blood work that Dr. Condon ordered done at MSKCC. I had MSKCC add his script to blood work they were doing already for the same issue. I personally faxed the results over to Dr. Condons office 3 times and they insisted that MSKCC sent over the wrong information. However, I told them I personally faxed over the results myself and they insisted MSKCC sent over the wrong results. ALL 3 times I faxed them personally and they either lost the results or misplaced them 2 out of the 3 times. They tried to blame MSKCC. Then claimed they never received them and insisted I was wrong. DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR!!!!!They are the most unprofessional and incompetent doctors office I have ever seen. They claimed I cursed at them and that I was rude.... Well your damn right I was rude to them after them interrupting me several times and insisting they were right. I definitely rose my voice and became hostile but never cursed at them. It took several hours for the office manager Greg to get back to me and he was cocky, rude and down right obnoxious. He should be fired immediately. He told me he is sending me a letter saying they will not treat me anymore. Every call I made to them I was left on hold for 15 minutes or more. This office should be shut down. When I asked to speak with Dr. Condon himself regarding my issues with his staff, the office Manager Greg told me that I signed an agreement when I first became a patient that I understood that Dr. Condon doesnt take patient complaints and wont talk to me. Well I will be telling every one that I know including all the doctors at MSKCC not to use this office going forward. Dr. Condon is a good doctor, but unfortunately his office staff SUCKS and obviously he doesnt care about losing patients. Read the other complaints here. 26 reviews and mostly bad ones.
Dr. Condon didnt physically examine me or order any scans. He just looked at me for 5 minutes and said PCOS or hashimotos. I didnt have either, though my lab stats were concerning. I continued to feel horrible and had a difficult time functioning normally. And though I expressed this many times to the NP, Tanima, she just kept telling me to wait to see Condon again. This went on for a little over a year and I never saw Condon again. ?! I felt so bad that I had not realized how much time had passed, so thats on me...but I shouldve received better care from the start.I finally found another endo and learned that I had a substernal goiter, growing vertically below my breastbone. It was very large, as my thyroid surgeon put it, the size of a newborn baby.If you are not receiving the proper treatment, then dont delay. Find another endo as thyroid issues should NOT be taken lightly.
I have never had a bad experience at Dr. Condons Office. I find the front desk people quite organized, but rushed with the volume of people some time.I enjoy Laura, my Nurse Practitioner and find her to be quite attentive and knowledgeable.Great find for me! - J. Ryder
Hes one of the most accomplished Endo Drs. Ive ever met and highly recommend him. My Mom is a diabetic and I can tell when a Dr. really takes time to understand their patients unique-individual needs and Dr. Condon does that! New office in Hampton Bays is convenient to train, bus and town.
Sucks that I even have to give it one star. I’ve been calling for weeks and nobody will answer the phone. I’ve left several messages asking for someone to call, mentioning how I have ONE BOTTLE OF INSULIN LEFT. The people at the desk are rude. You can stand behind the glass window for ten minutes until they slide it open to help you. The only good thing about this office is the fish tank, but plenty of doctors offices have those so your not missing out on much.
I have been seeing Dr. Condon and his staff for years. I cannot say enough great things about him. I dont know where I would be health wise with out him and his PAs. He is always willing to answer and discuss any and everything with me. You can tell he is concerned with your whole being. He is quick to give a referral if need be. His bedside manner is exemplary! I think it is wonderful that he is teaching and sharing his expertise with his PAs! It shows through their knowledge and concern. I dont mind seeing the PAs at all. When I have asked questions that they werent sure of the answer (has not happened often), I was very impressed that they were candid about not knowing the answer but comforted in them finding out the answer for me. I would never consider using any other practice. With that said, the Medford office staff leaves a lot to be desired and NO, NO ONE ever answers that phone. Simple fix, I switched offices, I now go to Commack. If you are looking for a doctor who you can trust and who is extremely knowledgeable Dr. Condon is who you should be seeing, end of story!
I am convinced that Dr. Condons medical knowledge and his advice is superior to any other Endocrinologist. I personally value his advice over my concierge physician who is paid monthly. Dr. Condon knows his stuff and explains it well. He is the best. The staff including the office manager are great. What is not great is the insurance problems associated with endocrinology and its medications. Dr. Condon could have a staff of 100 people and it still wont stop the unbelievable insurance pre authorizations and denials. I am sick of my Platinum Oxford freedom insurance denying my medications after I spend $17,000 a year on the BEST Oxford policy and there is nothing else (I would buy the best... there are no choices left) .... but I greatly value Dr. Condons wisdom; advice and expertise. I am not seeking care anywhere else because I truly believe he is the best.
I left this office the nicest review, for my first app bc I was sick for a long time and was put on a treatment plan and started to feel better and thought I was in the right hands......Front office, answering the phone Dr Condons office, HOLD then you can sit there for 30 mins, not for nothing its a Drs office the person on the other side of that phone might be having a medical emergency, you ask can you hold. They make an app give yours away then when you show up they tell you, its a mistake on your part, one time I had the app card and was still told it was my mistake. I made an app for my daughter to come with me and when we got there her app didnt exist anymore, she missed a college class to be there, I explained to Greg the office manager and right in front of my daughter he says there are plenty of classes you can go to, no regard. I needed FMLA Ppr work signed I was told by the front office they dont do that its Ppr work you need signed by treating dr. Every time I saw a different Dr or NP I was given a different diagnosis for my symptoms, so I never found out wht I actually had. I left a message for the Dr to call me about adjusting my meds bc I felt it was too much I get a call back 2 weeks later from a snotty receptionist telling me to come off the med, I said which one she said thats all the dr told her, by 2 weeks later I had forgot why I called. Then my last encounter I asked for my medical records and was told again we dont do that, I said those medical records belong to me and I need them I faxed a release, and then I called back and spoke to Kathy and told her my convo with the other girl refusing to give me my records, she said oh I will get right on it pls dont leave us a bad review, I will get it done, its been 3 months no records received, the only thing I did receive was a weird letter from Dr Condon thats stated from my behavior it shows I no longer wanted to be a patient and after 30 days from this date I will no longer be your Dr. Well not sure wht to say to that except from there behavior they dont care about anyone and thats why I left as you can see from all my interaction I gave them a yr and the benefit of doubt, medical office are supposed to care about ppl and even if you dont you should act like you do, I am in better hands now with a diagnosis !
Condon is a great doctor, Ive been seeing him to get my hormones for my gender transition since 2013. But the male nurse Greg is a literal transphobe (calls me by my birth name to a crowded waiting room) with a serious superiority complex and no respect for patients. I dont know why he thinks hes so great but he really seems to think that because hes the only male nurse in a female dominated office he can get away with acting like hes better than everyone. He doesnt even have sufficient medical training. He fights with me literally every time I have to interact with him, over the most minor things. Get rid of this guy so I can go to my endocrinologist without feeling gross every time I leave.
I met with Laura who was nice, but the office staff are terrible. You have an average wait time of 15 minutes on the phone, they close early & dont take messages. I was consistently forced to make an appointment, even if I could not keep it as they said it was the only way Id stay on their system. Horrible practice, horrible staff, stay away.
Very unprofessionally run office. First apptmt. saw Olga who has no bedside manner and actually gave me incorrect factual information. There was no one to take blood so Olga ended up drawing it. The turnicate was put on so tight. when i returned home my arm had a big lump was swollen and now is so bruised and hurts. I could not ask any questions was told they would be answered in next visit. was originally told that I would meet Dr. Colon on my 1st visit when I made the apptmt. Olga advised me I would meet him on my next visit. Truly like I believe that. At the front desk I asked for the nutritionists card and was informed we dont have any cards. then I asked what the nutritionist name was & I was told Elizabeth. I returned home and called & asked to speak w/ the office manager Greg. was told he was away from his desk and he would call me back which never transpired. A nightmare office disgraseful, a horrible experience for someone that has already had thyroid cancer.
I’m calling the office million times a day and nobody answers leaving message is same thing , if you go to office they don’t take you inside because of the virus then pick up the phone!!!!!!!!! I can’t believe how disrespectful , also I never seen any doctor office has lunch break more than one hour
Some of the reviews had me skeptical but after 3 visits I found this experience very pleasant. Staff is extremely nice and profesional. Dr. Condon appeared to really care about my questions and did not rush me at all. The P.As were extremely knowledgeable and comforting. Overall a great experiene!
Should be zero stars. My daughter went to Dr. Condon for help with her thyroid medicine because she is having an allergic reaction to it. Instead of helping her he gave a 5 minute speech telling her step by step how she will die. No advice on how to help her. He did not even stay for questions. Keep away unless you want to waste your money.
Amazing service everyone was so nice and understanding and especially patient they sent me out for full blood work and sat down with me to explain all my options and goals service was quick the longest I’ve waited to be called in has been 5-10 minutes the most since signing in I’m really happy I found Dr Condon and his NP Janine
This doctor should retire. He is rude and curt and mean spirited. I take natural thyroid because I can not metabolize synthroid. He said that I was ingesting dogs thyroid and who knows what else by taking natural thyroid. He was so crude and unprofessional I had to walk out of my appointment as he was still speaking. Do not see him if you are on natural thyroid. I was warned by others on the internet that he is horrible but I saw him because he was part of Fidelis. A big time waster and a negative old man.
The worst place to ever go different so call doctors who don’t really know what they are doing and my sugars are still mess up cause of them appointment I miss cause I had a brain surgery and all the sudden they decided to drop me great doctor my advice is DONT GO GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THE WORST ENDOCRINOLOGIST EVER WHO ALL HE CARES IS ABOUT MONEY OH YEAH AMD HIS SECRETARIES ARE THE WORST WITH ATTITUDES

2022-03-18First visit I met this doctor for 3 mins. I have never seen him since ( only nurse practitioner). Does he even exist ? Office manager/ Phlebotomist, maybe he cleans the bathrooms too??? Is RUDE!!! Do yourself a favor and find a different practice. This office is strictly about money! You have to have your blood drawn there and sono tech does it ( not very experienced) they REFUSE to send you to a lab.She seems to have multiple duties like the office manager.50 dollar charge for cancellation or reschedule. Even in the Heat of the pandemic!! When life was shut down . They give you 10 mins of their time and never with THE DOCTOR!! There are plenty of other Doctors in the area who actually treat their patients with kindness and consideration. Horrible!!

2022-03-25Dr Condon and his staff are the best endocrinology providers I have known in over 55 years as a type 1 diabetic. They have outstanding services from proper medications to diet to ways to manage and maintain great health. Dr. Condon is always up on the latest research and methods and with his guidance, I have managed my diabetes since the age of 5 with no complications. He is brilliant as is his staff. Highly recommended. Simply the best of the best.

2022-07-14Avoid going to this Doctors office if you can. They are all about money. Had an appointment for a blood work and they had me see a nurse practitioner and charged me a copay. There was no reason for me to see the nurse practitioner at all. They knew already what I was going in for but in order to charge me for a full visit fee and to take co-payment they had me see a nurse practitioner who did nothing.

2022-06-10Very unprofessional Dr office I would never recommend anyone to go there they hounding me for one dollar for a face mask which I ask them to give me one they told me NO and I ask the lady behind the desk are you really going to hound me for one dollar and she said YES smh I been going there for 3 years and within that time I never even saw DR Condon only his PA I requested to see the actual DR and my request was never honored. Dr Condon office should be ashamed of themselves we are people who have underlying diseases and you get treated like you are beneath them smh I was so embarrassed and shocked I will never ever go back please everyone STAY AWAY!

2022-06-13This experience is from ~2016, but I figured the experience should be shared. At or around that time I sought the help of an Endocrinologist for what I thought was low testosterone since I had many symptoms that no one else could answer. Dr. Condon sent me for a scan of my pituitary and bloodwork. The scan came back fine but my bloodwork showed that my testosterone was low. For reference, at the time I was in my mid-twenties, so it shouldve been in the higher end of the normal range, as testosterone decreases as we age. Dr. Condon acknowledged that I had low testosterone, but wouldnt give me any real treatment options. Rather, he offered me Cialis (which I did not need) and that was it. In addition, I saw a very negative experience while waiting in the waiting room one day. A woman had come in to get some documentation but apparently showed up a couple of minutes late. She waited over a half an hour just to get the paperwork and was in distress because she had to get her children off the bus. The medical assistant (?) who gave her the paperwork was incredibly rude and talked back to her. When I went in the back for my appointment I saw that the computer was close to the door... it shouldve taken mere moments to print something out for a patient.

2022-07-09Friendly staff, Very knowledgeable was able to diagnose immediately the problem and working to correct it from my first appointment which is a problem I suffered with for years prior. Don’t wait, if you are experiencing a problem go where they can actually help you and address and work on correcting. So thankful I found this office

2022-05-04Ok unfortunately My insurance not been accepted anywhere and I have to come in this business. Make sure write everything ……once you step out of the Doctors Assistance office and reach to the reception means you are Done… No one will give you chance to talk to the PA wait time about an hour. Also they are not here for you they are just here for business.
