My son called for a tee time on the white course for a Friday or Saturday. He was told that the only times available were 3:45-4:00. He took Saturday at 3:45 to do 9 holes. No one explained the twilight golf. After 2 holes he was told it was too dark to continue. No one at Eisenhower told him that he could not continue to play after dark. The office does not have a refund policy or offered a credit. He was told that it was his fault because he should have realized that with the time change it gets dark early. He is new to Eisenhower, but no appointment should have been made for those times. Eisenhower is at fault here not my son. Stay away from Eisenhower park golf. There are other places to go.
The tee boxes are a disaster. The fairways are in really bad shape with lots of bare spots and dead grass, the greens are over watered and cover with ball marks. As busy as it is, and the revenue it generates, it’s obviously run by workers that don’t care or take pride in their actions.

2021-11-20Ive played all three courses several times. The blue course is the easiest of the three, but with that being said, it usually has the longest waits at the tee boxes. White is littered with pot bunkers all over the place which can be a real challenge, and a bit different from most local public courses. The red is long, and you need to play smart with good course management or hit deep and accurate. The GPS assisted carts on the red course can be helpful, but too often than not they seem to get stuck in areas that are deemed undrivable, and youre forced to reverse a few million feet before you can resume driving. Your best bet is to reach behind the gpa screen just under the roof of the cart and use the black toggle switch to turn off the gps. Always well maintained, friendly staff, and close to all major local highways.

2021-03-06The Back 9 of the Blue course is a short but challenging muni course created by legendary course designer Robert Trent Jones. Signature deep pot bunkers in the fairways and greens are a pain in the neck. The lack of any water hazards and other hazards is well compensated by the undulating postage stamp size elevated greens that are well defended by strategic mounds that require precision shots.😱😵💫😰Green speed is on the slow side despite the dry winter conditions. Pin placement has been diabolical with locations 10-15 yards from the edge of greens.👹Most pin placements are beside green side mounds or false fronts requiring precision approach shots factoring in the angle of the elevated mounds.🤔Playing winter golf in 25F weather (20F with wind chill factored in) and 25+ mph winds bumps up the difficulty level by several notches.🥶💨☃️❄️🌬️ Readjusting club selection can get really complicated to compensate for reduced range due to cold weather and wind speed.Additional yardage of 10-15 yards for approach to greens has to be factored in for ball release due to the frozen ground.🤓The fairways are well-maintained but the greens are manageable but a bit beat-up with more than a few unrepaired pitch marks.🤨😒The Back 9 of the White course is similar but a bit longer. One positive about Eisenhower Parks White and Blue courses are that both are ball-friendly courses. 🙌😀😀😀The courses are not Links style courses but are wide-open with well-placed trees, minimal brush or bushes. The rough is well maintained/self-maintained with close to fairway level of grass. 😊😊😊I havent lost a ball yet after playing at least 4 rounds.🤞For winter golf in these conditions, Im satisfied with scores of bogey or double bogey with the occasional par as a bonus. A birdie on my second ball is a really rare occurrence but is one of the great perks of playing winter golf. Virtually no one playing so no waiting and I was able to play at least three balls to rack up some great practice work. There were three other golfers on the course yesterday when I played. Not too many crazy golfers willing to play in these brutal conditions!😁On the negative side, there are more than a couple of hole signs missing and old holes that were not covered but overall, these muni courses are well-maintained. 🤨I was fortunate that I brought my own home-made yardage book with me to identify the holes otherwise I would have been lost.🌝🤓📑Some of the Par 3s aretwin holes with options to play two identical holes with close to the same distance. I recommend the alternate twin (no hole sign) to play as it has a less beat up teeing ground.👍Good progressive decision to make these two courses available as 9 hole courses for a budget friendly $23/round for residents with Leisure Pass weekday rate. I was able to finish my back 9 in under three hours but 2.5 hours is doable playing one ball only.⛳⏳🏁Were fortunate that the park folks have been managing the course and has continued to provide excellent golf facilities despite the COVID-19 pandemic.Awesome job by the park folks in maintaining these great courses! Keep up the excellent work. 👍🙌🏆🏅🎗️

2018-03-13Summer 2017, it was in really good shape. Waits vary depending on time of day. Food and beverage are lack luster at best. Bring food. Fresh bunkers on White Course. Greens are nice. Motor carts are always new.

2021-03-31White course is my go to course. Especially after they moved the tees back, it has become a nice fun challenge. Only issue is that there are some holes like 11 (short par 4). The green is absolutely horrible. When you look at the green, it looks like someone took a golf club and absolutely smashed the green. Also sometimes they need to water the greens in summer, you can sometimes pure a wedge from the fairway but the ball rolls of the green just due to how firm the greens are.

2019-10-20Played past Friday. Golf course in very good condition, fairways kinda tight, rough can hide balls easily especially with plenty of leaves down. Putting greens were fast but in good condition.Fun round if you can stay on the fairway and if not bring extra balls.

2021-05-11For a public golf course its in pretty good shape. Every year they try to upgrade it, its a slow pace but they try. The white is my favorite, come August its very challenging. Enjoy!

2018-12-01A muni course, a nassau county managed course with elevated greens protected by 2 or more bunkers on each hole. Plays about 6350 from white tees and 6900 from back tees. Flat course that drains well. Greens are usually in good conditions. Better than red. At $60 to walk, not cheap.
