I come here on the weekends sometimes for their breakfast as its not far from home and for what I order Im not disappointed. If you try one thing here make sure its the pupusas as they are very delicious. Everything else in my opinion is not as tasty. The service is good, but some things are definitely not fresh and you can tell. I think it has great potential but just needs an extra push.
Delicious authentic Salvadorian food. Meats are always juicy and tender. My favorite dishes: Beef stew, Broil fish, pork shoulder. Including their tamales and pupusas (mixed) with there chilled pickled cabbage. Natural Fruit shakes passion and orchata (sweeten rice milk w/a dash of cinnamon is my favorite refreshing home made drink. Owners are very pleasant and the atmosphere is welcoming...great place to dine in...for all ages.
Great place for traditional Salvadorean food. Big portions as well. The popusas revueltas with a side of refried beans is a great small meal or large snack. Most of the staff speaks mostly Spanish so Ive had to translate for a few friends to make sure there isnt a miscommunication. I recommend to all.
The food was good I liked going there to get food but not too long ago I went and there was a roach by the counter I told the man behind it and he clean it fast so no one can see smh I get it, but It turned my stomach and I feel like there’s probably more where that came from and maybe in the food 😩. Like I said the food is good but that roach just ruined it.
The pupusas were good, we also ordered chicharrón de pollo (fried chicken chunks) which was fried for so long he meat became a dusty texture. Basic rice and beans were good and the pollo a la parrilla (grilled chicken). This food is elsalvadorean you wont get mojo (garlic/olive oil sauce) with your fried yuca.
Is there such thing as a ZERO star because this place is horrible, I have never had such a disgusting seas food plate in my life, don’t recommended, dirty utensils, cold food and horrible tamal de elotes. First time trying this restaurant in man years again and the last, I greatly recommend LA BAHIA In bushwick.
The food is rich, but !! The AWFUL service, after they deliver your food, they never come close to see if !! One needs something, I had to stop to ask for napkins, then to stop again, to ask for something to drink. And finally I stopped again so that they made me some popusas to take away,Their customer service is lousy. We ordered 12 popusas to eat there and they only gave us a bowl with the vegetables that popusas have, a bowl for 12 popusas ???
Super recommended this Salvadoran restaurant, after searching in different restaurants I finally found a place where they make very delicious pupusas, they are well filled and not greasy, they have a lot of variety on the menu and I liked the customer service. If I would return 💯💯💯

2018-07-22Great place for regional Central American fare. Chicken Tamales were great, but I come here for pupusas! The bean and chicharrón are amazing and the toppings are great. Ask for their jalapeno sauce for an added kick. Great prices and nice homey interior! Highly recommended!

2021-12-26I ordered and paid $18!!!! and waited 20 minutes for a Shrimp Soup. There were only 3 shrimp with noodles and carrots..what kind of asopao is that?!?!?! I called and they called me a liar that there is no way that there were 3 shrimp in there and that I must of eaten it!!!! what they should of had done and said.. what can we do for you, our customer. It was only after I said that I was going to find every possible way to leave a correct review of how rude and unprofessional they are that the lady who answered changed her tune. I have been going there for years and this is NO WAY ALONG TIME CUSTOMER SHOULD BE TREATED?? CALLED A LIAR.Not a place to feel as if your hard earned money is well spent. Many other wonderful restaurants that truly value their customers.

2021-10-13The place looks beautiful and clean. I Ordered white rice with bean and chicken stew to go.The rice and beans were ok, but the chicken stew looked like chicken soup that I had to call Resturant to see if they gave me the wrong order and was told no that how the chicken stew looks. So all I ate was just rice and beans. Waste of $14

2021-07-15I had a great dinner here with three others, especially as we arrived at prime time, 6:30pm, and were able to get a table of our choosing. In July 2021, they had all windows open, outdoor dining and the staff wore masks which was comforting. They got four stars as their carne guisada (beef stew) was a bit bland and service was spotty with appetizers coming after the entree and the wrong beers being served. They are not wheelchair accessible unfortunately.
