El guacamole in other cities:
So disappointed. I ordered a chicken quesadilla which cost $13 plus tax and Uber eats fees to get basically a scimpy cheese quesadilla! There were literally like 4 pieces of chicken and the quesadilla was so flat and empty. I wish I could upload the pics because I sure took some! I definitely will stick to more authentic Mexican restaurants in the area like the little mom and pop shops because I think this place caters to much to the bar and not the quality of the food. Ughhh I hate still being hungry after wasting money on food!! Im sooo upset :(.
I gave this restaurant a one star because around 8pm I called ahead asking what time the restaurant was closing. The lady on the phone clearly stated 11pm so we got in the car and drove for 45 minutes just for the staff to tell us the kitchen was closed around 9:20. We were very excited to try the Mexican grill but all hopes were crushed when we got there. This was very unprofessional and I hope next time they won’t make us drive 45 minutes in 16° weather with the wrong information.
I went here last night the food was fresh and delicious. The waitress was great and the owner was making sure everything was good also. The tres leches cake is so good Ill definitely will be going back. The rice was wasnt hard and dried out either the soup was savory. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant🙂🌮. They are very clean also . Go and try it for yourself you wont be disappointed.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Made a reservation here and when we showed up it was complete chaos. There wasn’t a hostess and when someone finally gave us a minute, they said they gave our table away. Very angry since so many places were busy in the area. Our reservation was confirmed by the restaurant also so it wasn’t a formality, just complete incompetence.
The food here is overpriced and their menu is Americanized, clearly. I rather go to Mole Mole for a more friendly environment in that case. The manager is rude, always has a stank face and is rude to black people. They love to cater to white people only! Service was slow the couple of times I was here. WILL NOT be coming back, neither will my friends. If you want authentic authentic Mexican food in Poughkeepsie this is not it.
First time going to this place last night and they didn’t disappoint! We were a party of 14 celebrating my brother and sister in law’s marriage. It was very last minute but they accommodated us very fast. The food was amazing and service was friendly. Definitely going back here for future celebrations!
The food was really good however service was absolutely horrible. My drink didnt come out until after my family ate. My main course didnt come out about 45 minutes later than my family. I ended up having them pack it for to go but it ended up being wrong. I had to repeat 2x. At first they didnt want to comp for the troubles. I had to say something. I am not one to complain within the restaurant business as I use to be a waitress myself. But this was absolutely horrible. We will not be coming back here.
I loved my Mexican Bean Soup, very authentic. I feel if you can make a bean soup that is very delicious, then you have a great start to an excellent meal - and it certainly was, piping hot and lots of flavor. I had the most delicious steak I have ever had, very tender - its one of their signature dishes. So glad the server recommended it! The server was very attentive and the food was served on time. We werent rushed so we enjoyed our gathering thoroughly. Will return!!!!
I’ve only ever ordered delivery from this establishment because of COVID. However, the food from here is just absurdly good. It’s clear that they’re using great ingredients. Even though I’m not dining-in, the food is assembled and delivered with care and always hot! This is the best Mexican food I have been able to find in Dutchess county and I highly recommend checking them out!
The atmosphere was warm and inviting and authentic. The food was unbelievable in taste and presentation. And the service was friendly and timely. I highly recommend and have already had family and friends frequent this little gem. It is our new favorite place to eat and hang.
Went here with my best friend was so excited at the variety of the menu ordered multiple items off the menu tacos, birria tacos, empanadas, fried sweet plantains, churros and cheesecake chimichangas. (I tasted at least one thing from each and took the rest home which I shared and ate the next day.) All the food was so bomb. My top faves were the fried sweet plantains, empanadas, birria tacos and churros. 10/10 highly recommend. This place was excellent. The interior is designed so thoughtfully. The art, the music, the place is super clean with a ‘covid station with hand sanitizer and extra masks’ what an experience! The staff and customer service was on point. Definitely coming back because the food is just so good and they are very affordable and you receive more than a satisfying portion of food. Highly recommend also get the soursop juice it’s so good and it will make you sleepy. If you know, you know.
Had birria tacos for the first time in my life after hearing folks raving about it left and right so I decided to come here to try it. Absolutely delicious and flavorful. Such a small cozy place but serves great and authentic Mexican food. Not a lot of places I was able to find that make birria tacos but this place does and they are very delicious.
Honestly I could not get enough of this place. The birria was great, but I must say the Aguas Frescas take the crown. I had to take stuff home, the portions are HUGE and very affordable. The decorations, the art, it all makes you feel very cozy. It made me feel very homesick lol.10/10 recommend.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -its honestly a wonderful site. The birria was good, but I must say that the fresh waters take the trophy. I had to take things with me because the portions are HUGE, and super affordable / affordable. The decorations, the art, everything makes you feel super warm. It made me miss my country lol.10/10 recommend
The drinks were so good !! Recommend the Mangonada and Cantarito flavor mango. There chamoy (the rim paste) is home made and so so good! Very family oriented will be back! :)The drinks were delicious I recommend the Mangonada and Cantarito de Mango delicious! The chamoy is homemade and makes the drink more delicious! Well be back:)
I do not recommend this restaurant. Waitresses do not serve well. When we arrived they took about 10 minutes to attend us and they are just making balls talking. Food is not heated well and is already reheated. Very bad savor at all to be honest. When I get home I get a crazy stream of food and my wife scoops the steak out of her nose.

2022-01-30Great Mexican food! Tacos were great. Expected fajitas to be a little bigger portion, but it was still good, just on a pricier side.

2022-05-08I’d rate this zero stars if I could. Found a rubber band in my food and the restaurant couldn’t be bothered to help out in the slightest. Also, $3 for a sauce-sized container of guacamole is a robbery, so rest assured I’ll try other places in the area going forward. My advice is don’t come here if you like your restaurants up to code and sanitary.

2022-07-14Absolutely Amazing unoriginal drinks, Thanks to Queen, and out of this world traditional Mexican fare. The shrimp tacos from first bite make you want more and more. Handmade tortillas on all the tacos are truly authentic and delicious. Service was inviting, personal, friendly, professional, knowledgeable and makes you feel right at home.

2022-03-17I usually don’t post bad about any restaurant but after purchasing a $64 order to only get a literal scoop of rice is outrageous. This restaurant needs to be held accountable for charging $25 for a kid portion sized meal. No exaggeration. Please do better.

2020-11-09Love the festive atmosphere. You feel like you are sitting in a bistro in Mexico City . Furniture is colorfully painted and carved . Having the bar in the front is great for hanging out with friends. My food was very flavorful, fresh, and hot. I loved trying new dishes ! The beef was so tender and the flan the best I’ve had. You feel like you have home cooking with a great vibe. Just loved the whole experience!

2022-04-20I LOVE this establishment to dine in, however, they have continued to drop the ball on the take out front. Having a food allergy can be daunting, but having detail oriented chefs make all the difference. On 4 total (2 of which were recent) occasions, a food allergy that was noted on our order receipt was over looked. We thought maybe due to it being ubereats it was overlooked. The same occured on another delivery platform as well. Despite my enjoyment, they literally may be the death of me.
