Ive been living here for 17 years and last night I had the pleasure of visiting Elisas for the 1st time. I was pleasantly surprised, food was delicious and Rob our server was friendly and attentive. We sat outside and the atmosphere was delightful. Thank you Paul for consistently checking in to make sure everything was good. It was a busy night and we didnt feel rushed *which I loved * I will definitely return and great its actually walking distance to my house.
Elisa’s restaurant is a hidden gem in the neighborhood of North Bellmore. Slightly hidden on North Jerusalem Road and next to a little auto repair shop called “Road Reedy”, with accessible parking for their patrons, and a huge parking lot right across from Elisa’s. From the moment we walked up, we were greeted by so many faces, it was as if we were a part of the family. The tents atmosphere was beautiful! The palm trees, the lights and the little table plants compliment the “al fresco” dining experience in a wonderful way! The tables are even separated far enough for any individual that is uncomfortable dining out! From the looks of it, Elisa’s seems to hit the nail right on the head when it comes to the quality of their food, the service, the dining experience and atmosphere/ambiance. They follow all protocols, rules and procedures for the safety of their customers, as well as giving above and beyond to make sure that everyone dining at the restaurant is enjoying the experience. The appetizers were fantastic that we tried, the fried calamari, baked clams, grilled portobello, whole roasted cauliflower and the beautifully done special Kale salad. The pastas were perfectly cooked with an absolutely delicious flavor! From the Alfredo cream sauce we tried, to the bolognese, we enjoyed every bit of those dishes! The entrees came and I couldn’t resist to taste test some of my families dishes… The Pork Chop San Mariano is outrageous, huge and delicious! The Penne Villa we tried was perfect, the sauce was a creamy silky smooth texture and the scallops and shrimp were cooked perfectly. I could go on and on about the other dishes, but its unnecessary unless you take that leap of faith and try it for yourself! I’m sure you will be pleasantly surprised by the wonderful staff, food, culture, family oriented atmosphere, and the restaurant as a whole! I will surely be back as much as I can, and I definitely passed the word on that Elisa’s is a wonderful family ran Italian restaurant which deserves all the hype that it gets! Thank you so much for the unbelievable dining experience and to the fantastic staff that made things so simple and easy, we will surely be back so we can try everything on the menu and all the specials you have to offer daily!
Ate here for the first time with my family. This is a very warm and friendly establishment as the proprietors greet their customers and made them feel welcome. It also has a regular customer base, as there were a good amount of dinners many seemed to be regulars.Offering both in door and out door dining, all covid protocols were observed by the entire staff.Started off the meal with appetizers. The Vongole Oreganate(Baked Clams) were excellent. 8 to a plate they were well seasoned and had a great sauce that added to the flavor. This was coupled with Bruschetta al Pomodoro, which is grilled Italian bread and chopped tomato salad. The bread slices, about 6 disc toasted, lacked enough garlic to give it a garlic bread type taste. Unlike traditional buschetta the bread was larger, but turned out well because the chopped tomato was excellent and tasty. I used the sauce from the baked clams to give the pairing an extra taste touch.Sadly, not all of the entrees fared well. I enjoyed the Gamberoni Parmigiano which was breaded shrimp in tomato sauce with spaghetti as the pasta side. The sauce was tasteful but could have had some more seasoning if it supposed to be a home made sauce. The next entree was a steak with gargonzola cheese sauce, which was paired with penne Alfredo as the pasta side. The steak was supposed to medium but it was over cooked and it lacked any of the juice the would be created in the pan to give it more flavor. The cheese sauce was was amply applied to the plate which made it more like a gravy rather than a sauce addition. I would recommend that they should put this as a side and allow the diner to apply the amount they would like on their plate. The last dish was Spaghetti Con Polpettine, or spaghetti and meatballs. This was the most disappointing of all of the dishes. Which should never be in any Italian restaurant. The meat balls tasted bland and lacked basic seasoning. There were no breadcrumbs in the mix and they tasted like they were a no name brand from the supermarket. Seriously Ikeas Swedish meatballs edged this out need I say more. The owners mother did say that her son, the cook made them, but they need mom back in the kitchen to add the old world flavors and touch to their cooking.Overall, this is a good place to eat. Parking was easy as they have additional parking across the street.I would suggest their son the cook, take more tips from his elders on how to finesse his food flavorings in making their meals. The menu choices are good, but could use a few more additions especially with their appetizers. I would have liked to see some garlic bread as an option.Over all it is still a good dining choice for an meal.
Elisa’s is one of my family’s FAVORITE places to order from. We have been working on our kitchen here at home so when we can’t cook at home we order the family meals from here and they never disappoint! Prices are excellent and portions are great for our family of 4!We haven’t actually eaten at the restaurant yet, but we look forward to that day! Elisa’s is so good we just keep on coming back!
This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! No matter what I have ordered, it has been fantastic! I have even ordered off the menu, meaning the chef made my special request. The wait staff are super friendly and in better times it would not be uncommon to see the Chef visiting tables to see how you have liked the meal. With the pandemic they have stepped up their game with not only outside dining, but the interior patrons are isolated from each other making it feel like they are at their own private dinner! Dont miss the opportunity to experience this special place!
My experience at Elisa’s is never anything but fantastic! Warm friendly atmosphere, makes you feel you’re at a friends home! I have so many favorites but basically love everything on the menu! I’ve recommended Elisa’s to many people, which I don’t do often, and now they’re hooked too! The food is delicious with standards and the very creative ChefPaolo specials. Rocky is at the front to greet every guest with the warmth of a relative! Go to Elisa’s you won’t be sorry I promise!
Ive ordered from Elisas multiple times and have always enjoyed their food and thought it was good quality and portions for the money, but this last time I ordered the quantity of food for the price was way too low (2 extremely flat pieces of chicken for $21, come on seriously?).On top of that, they got one of the orders completely wrong (I added chicken to a meal, they left out the chicken but still charged me extra for it and also got the pasta type wrong).Worst yet, there was a hard chip of plastic in my food that I nearly broke a tooth on. I cant see myself ordering from here again, that was three strikes all in one meal.
Excellent food and service! Went with family as a last minute nite out. Were able to accommodate 5 of us quickly inside. Place was setup very nicely and appropriately considering the current affairs. Our waitress was friendly and explained everything the food was served quickly and everything was delicious. Will come back again
Hit and miss with this restaurant. I went in a group of 10 about a month ago, and it was great (one person was unhappy, but that happens). I had the ravioli and the chocolate mousse, both of which were superb. Went back in a group of 7 (some of the same people) last week, and it was incredibly disappointing. One persons meal was cold, and anothers was overcooked. The majority of the food was okay to not good (including my chicken parm). A few positives were the mac & cheese bites (daily special), broccoli pizza, and some desserts (including the mousse). Hope it was just an off-night, but dont want to take a chance again when there are so many other really good Italian restaurants.
We ate here Friday August 14th and it was wonderful. A parking attendant helped us park our own car. The owner greeted us and prepared our table outside. No waiting for busboy, etc. Everyone there works hard and Everyone was incredibly friendly. Our waitress was awesome. Friendly. Attentive and fun! The food was excellent. I had a shrimp and garlic sauce that was delicious and my wife had clams in a garlic sauce and loved it. We cant recommend this restaurant enough. Btw they made the outside dining feel like a part of the restaurant with palm trees. Give thema try and you wont be sorry. Thanks for a great evening!!!
A hidden gem of an Italian restaurant! The menu was vast and had a lot of choices Ive never seen at other Italian restaurants. From appetizers (several Calamari choices) great salads and tons of entrées, there are tons of choices for even the pickiest eaters to find something theyll love! Large outdoor tent dining as well as inside tables available. We will definitely be back soon!
Food is always great no matter what you order. My favorite is the Chicken francese. Waiters, waitresses always pleasant and professional. Nice ambiance, don’t rush you through you meals. Live in North Carolina now, there’s no good Italian restaurants here. Every time we get to New York, Elisa’s the first place we go.
My family threw me a surprise party here. Have to say the food was excellent. Every one of my guests told me they enjoyed the food, that it was delicious. The menu they offered had great choices. They definitely did a great job, although I believe they should of had more than one waitress for a party of 40 plus people. I definitely recommend for a private party.
Some of the most amazing food you will ever have! And whats also extremely incredible is one of the brothers stays near the door and greats and wishes the guest farewell. I wish I could tell you what to try when you go. There was four of us and we all got something different and ate it family style. And it all was so incredible! Highly recommend going and trying, you will thoroughly enjoy being part of the family
Once again Elisas did not disappoint. We were greeted by Rocco when we entered and were seated promptly. We had water and bread delivered to our table just as the last person in our party sat down. For appetizers were went with the Caprese (Fresh Mozz & Tomato with Balsamic drizzle) Salad and Rice Balls for the table. The rice balls were fantastic. It came out with a bèchemel sauce that was on point. For dinner the kids had a couple of basics - Penne alla Vodka, Fettuccine Alfredo which they cant wait to come to the restaurant to eat. Myself and my wife had homemade Tortellini with a wild mushroom cream sauce with onions and Pear Sacatini. The Pear Sacatini is homemade with a sliver of pear and 4 cheeses inside. The pear did not overpower the dinner. It was just enough in each that it gave a slight sweet taste to the cheese. We hope it will be on the menu next time we take the half-hour ride to Elisas!.Highly recommend. For those who want to know how they handle the pandemic:All staff wear masks, all tables are separated by more than the six feet required by executive order. They are consistently seen cleaning and disinfecting all parts of the restaurant. They go above and beyond which is required.
I dont usually post reviews but I felt this needed saying after reading some of the ridiculous negative reviews on here. Elisas is top tier authentic Italian cuisine. Everything we had was delicious and flavorful, unique without being too risky, and served with intention. The wait staff/chef was second to none and if I had to complain about anything it would be that there are TOO many delicious looking options on the menu and pairing that with how good my choice was, I now have to go back over and over to try everything else. Well done, Elisas. Well see you again very soon.
Elisa’s makes me grateful I don’t spend less more often for nothing special. Because this is special. This is exquisitely prepared food that makes every time I’ve done without and made ramen noodles...worth the wait. I wanted delivery but needing guidance on what to order I phoned the restaurant directly firs hoping for some help. It was terrific to have one of the owners take my call who gave me all the entertaining insight I needed to make my decision. Every bite was heaven, from the tastiest Caesar Salad ever (and I mean EVER) to pasta, fettuccine Alfredo so smooth and fresh that I closed my eyes to enhance the experience of taste. No I’m not kidding. Nothing fussy or fancy just simple dishes that warm the soul when done to perfection. I can’t wait to treat myself again.
If you are looking for a great restaurant for a casual night out look no further than Elisa’s in Bellmore. The menu is diverse and they are willing to accommodate changes. The service is really outstanding. It is family owned and Chef Paolo will come out to make sure everything is perfect. Their Sunday Sauce is delicious, it will give your Grandma’s sauce a run for the money. They offer catering and are available for private parties too.
This hidden little gem of a restaurant is quite the place. Every dish I have ever had here was absolutely delicious. Homemade Italian cuisine that makes me feel like my grandma is in the kitchen cooking it herself. You won’t go wrong coming here and the owners are always greeting you at the door.
My Favorite Italian Restaurant. My wife and found this place thru friends and we just love it. The food is amazing. We have taken family there several times. They all loved it. I just got off the phone after booking diner for tomorrow night for our anniversary. Looking forward to tomorrow.
Was here with four other couples to celebrate my wifes birthday. Absolutely terrific. Service , food , drinks all five stars. My wife is a picky eater, they did not bat an eye , preparing her veal just the way she likes it. I had the Shrimp parm, which was one of the best I have had anywhere. Our guests had pasta, chicken and their beef special...all want to go back soon. All the appetizers were delicious , we especially loved their rice balls. Chef Paul and Rocco and the staff never missed a beat and were their to make sure all was perfect..down to the piece of cake, candle and Happy Birthday serenade! We highly recommend this wonderful local, family owned restaurant. You wont be disappointed!.
Tonight‘s menu of fresh homemade pasta was absolutely out of this world!! Got to watch the owner make handmade pasta from the different regions of Italy fresh right before our eyes and learn bout the history and authentic processes. Been a regular for a long time and the specials here are always creative and exceptionally well done. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
This is the place to come for amazing Italian, with an intimate at-home feeling in environment and service. The family often comes around to the table to chat and to make you feel at home. The wait area is sometimes crowded and the wait can be as long as some chain restaurants on LI, but nothing can compare and this wait, if any, is definitely worth it. The selecting is outstanding and the specials are specials. In a word, outstanding.
My boyfriend and I have been eating at Elisa’s twice a week for many years.Once we discovered Elisa’s, there was no need to go elsewhere for Italian food. Everything is fresh and delicious, with a real “grandma’s Italian kitchen” taste. There is something for everyone among the numerous menu selections. The staff is friendly and highly competent in delivering the best possible service at all times. The Telese family members give everyone a warm welcome and really make you feel at home. Chef Paolo visits each table to ensure that each person is satisfied with their meal. The atmosphere is warm and friendly; When you look around, it is evident that everyone is enjoying their time spent at Elisa’s. I know we are!
We catered our son’s 1st birthday from Elisa’s and EVERYONE raved over the food. Grandma said the eggplant parm was better than her own, and the vegetable risotto was a showstopper. Kids dug into everything and the kale salad with pears was a huge hit. Elisa’s rocked the party! On-time delivery and quick setup. Looking for reasons to host another party so we can order again!
Incredible, authentic recipes passed down the family straight from Italy. Everytime Ive been there Im treated just like family. This is my favorite stop every time Im back in town. Highly recommended by friends and family. And Id have to agree. Elisas is a hidden gem..
This is a family favorite. However, if youve ever eaten at any place called Ginos or Marios youve eaten here. The food is basic italian. Nothing is cooked with passion. The waitstaff are obnoxious and often rude. The owner is very nice though. I only eat here because I pity him.
We were here today with a large group of family and friends, i have been wanting to stop here for the longest time i was very pleasantly surprised how good all the food was. They started us out with plenty hot Italian bread and butter a choice of salad then penne ala vodka, and a choice of 5 different entrees, capped off with a piece of cake each and a choice reg. Coffee or expresso or tea. All the food was delicious if you havent been here many specials Monday thru Thursday google their menu and pick your special night, we enjoyed ourselves so much we will be back next week. The place is not all that big but its comfortable i cant tell you what its like at night but my next visit i will s h are my experience talk to you soon.
Love going to Elisas. Being greeted at the door by Rocky is awesome. Love this guy, he makes you feel like your home with the family on a Sunday. He with the rest of the family who make appearances only add warmth to this already great place and friendly atmosphere. Chef Paulo has an amazing gift. His food is delicious. Love eating whatever he serves up!!
Very nice restaurant, this is not a take-out pizza place. It is walking distance from our home so we have dined there several times. Rocky and his family have been serving our community for two generations. Efficient, clean, knowledgeable staff and the aromas from the kitchen ummmm boy!!!
We were a fairly large group with a sizable bill....ordering wine, apps and entres. It took our waiter 50 minutes to get around to taking our order and another hour to serve our dinner. Most enjoyed their dinner but three complained that the marinara shrimp was overlooked and the Salmon di Laura was chewy. We were never asked about drink refills or had water refilled. Bread was stale. Will not return.
Have eaten here twice, once with friends on a very busy Saturday night (you need reservations) and once with our entire family. Both times the food and service were wonderful! We have enjoyed an appetizer of homemade sausages: elk, pheasant, duck, and fennel that was served with homemade roasted peppers and carmelized onions. Absolutely delicious! I had the grilled lamb chops with potato croquettes. Yummy! The other night five of the six adults had the whole bronzino and we all loved it in spite of having to debone it. Desserts were tartufos, lemon sorbet, and homemade espresso gelato, oreo gelato, and a cherry gelato. Incredible! Can not say enough great things about Elisas.
Food sucked. First and last time here. I got shrimp scampi and they had no flavour , also shrimp were cold in the middle. My mom ordered chicken marsala, chicken was cold and seemed microwaved and the marsala sauce tasted like anything but..... The manager said they dont use marsala wine in their marsala sauce, lol.Never coming back thats for sure.
Elisas is the best resturant in townour very best place to eatthe food is always deliciousthe waitresses and waiters areamazingPaul and Rocky the owners are, always there they make you feel like you are part Of the their familywe give it 5 stars it is the best try it you will be very pleased.
I can not even begin to express how wonderful this place is. From the food, staff, and atmosphere. Marona Mia this place is FANTASTIC. This restaurant has made every other Italian spot ive ever been taste like garbage. I never want to go anywhere else BRAVO chef and staff!
Went during exotic week at Elisas, my wife and I had a splendiferous time eating Camel Meatballs, Bison Tenderloin, and Venison Osso Buco. It was succulent and made with care and love. As always Rocco and his brother Paolo, along with their fun and lighthearted staff make for an entertaining and delightful culinary experience. This place is welcoming and will treat you like family.
Outstanding food and friendly service.People that say anything bad about this place really have NO idea what real Italian food tastes like. Thats all I have to say..They need to eat at Olive Garden. Not here..This place is beyond outstanding.. No wonder its packed at 5pm and have valet parking..We cannot wait to go back
I have good and bad news to share:Good news:Food is greatBad news:Desserts are trash they dont even have that much desserts they got more alcoholic beverages then dessertsAnd also the restaurant is smallAnd I am writing this right now in the restaurant hoping no one is seeing but when ever they play music at the end of song it would be making a sounds likeHeheheheheIts so annoying

2022-04-24I was on a week-long TDY in New York and on my last night my co-workers and I ate here and let me tell you, this is the absolute BEST Italian food I have ever had! And Ive actually been to Italy. Every dish was savory and filling and it just kept coming. The service from Diana was top tier and we were even able to meet Paulie, the owner and he was such a cool guy. In the future, whenever Im in NY I must eat here!

2022-02-27Our 1st time at Elisas, and it was excellent. Went with family, including 2 kids. Everyones food was delicious. The blueberry meatballs are definitely worth a try. Our waiter was great, just sorry that I missed his name. My son was getting restless, and our waiter brought over a vanilla ice cream that calmed him right down. All of his recommendations were perfect. Really enjoyed, and will be back!

2022-05-14Spent alot of money on a chicken alfredo dish, it had no real flavor and the chicken tasted awful. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because I ordered take out meatballs there once and they were great. But most of the take out I have gotten in the past has been average at best. My boyfriend goes to this place cause it is close and he loves food and the location is convenient. Me I am done here

2022-03-14We went there for the first time last Saturday night for dinner. Let me say that the food we had, from the apps to entrée to desserts were delicious. However, we were surprised at how small the portions were. Also, we felt it to be a bit pricey considering how small the portions were. My pasta dish cost like $25 and it was gone in a few bites. My wife got one of their dessert cakes for $10 and the cake was the size of a hockey puck. Again, noting against the food itself. Each course we had tasted very good, but if you have a hearty appetite like I do, youll walk away feeling unsatisfied and that it was I am leaving 4 star review instead of 5.

2022-05-08We started with the Arancini di Riso alla Paolo (homemade rice balls) with bechamel dipping sauce absolutely delicious and then I had the pork Osso Buco tender fall apart deliciousness. We ended the meal with the tiramisu which was light creamy and delicious. The meal was fabulous I definitely recommend trying it. All in all great time.

2022-03-27We were very disappointed with the waitress service and food at Elisas. The waitress was barely there. The soda was flat, penne a la Vodka and other food was served practically cold, and the cake tasted horrible, even though it was Chocolate. We dined with a group of 12 people. The layout of the tables was awkward, it seemed like our group was separated into two. I asked if it could be changed but they said No. The owners seemed nice, but the waitress really let us down. I was disappointed and embarrassed. I am not going back, there are so many other restaurants to try.

2021-06-04The service is excellent, the food never disappoints. Everything is home made and delicious 😋
