We brought our 10month old daughter to the emergency roof because she has bad up congestion at the moment and is having trouble breathing and even waking up from sleep cause she can’t breath. The lady was so rude didn’t ask if she was okay or the reason at all. She wanted all this stuff first and then said it was going to be a long wait. We asked how long cause she really is having a hard time breathing and cannot breath out of her nose and she rudely said a very long wait. It was so unfair I felt like they didn’t care about a child in need at all. Very upset with this hospital and that was the last straw I will never go there again.
Try to go to the ER because Im displaying symptoms of covid. They told me theyre not doing covid testing unless its really serious and to go to Walgreens. I went to Walgreens and theyre not offering covid testing. And the only way that I can get tested is if I make an appointment through my primary care provider. And then get tested. Would give no stars if that was an option.THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE
The Physical Therapy Department is amazing. I had little hope that they could help me, but within 2 sessions I was walking much better with less pain. All of the therapists are caring and knowledgeable. When I reached the limit of how much they could help me, I received a diploma. :-) I still do the exercises they taught me, and Im still growing stronger. Thank you to everyone who makes this Department such a wonderful place.
Brought my wife there 3 times for problems related to a compromised immune system. Even without the specialty services of bigger hospitals, they got her up and running quickly.Everyone is very professional, caring and knowledgeable. The level of care is outstanding.Living in a small town, its good to know I have a facility close by that can provide emergency services and do so without making patients feel like theyre holding triple digit number tags in a big city delicatessen.
Ellenville is a great place to bring yourself or family. The Emergency room is filled with knowledgeable staff who are quick to assist you in your needs! The Swing program is great for transitions from a hospital to home in the form of physical therapy and occupational therapy.
Ive been to the ER three times over the past 15 years. Once I was having a minor stroke. They took me into the ER immediately and started treatment. I was admitted to the hospital on that occasion. Another time I had a bad leg injury, which required immediate attention. I also brought in a friend with an injury that needed stitches. Ive used the physical therapy department for a variety of problems. Ive seen the specialist doctors. Ive used the radiology department for X-rays, CAT scans, sonograms, and the laboratory for blood tests. In every instance I was treated promptly, appropriately, professionally. All of the staff were professional, friendly, and respectful. We are very lucky to have such a good facility on our rural area. But we all have to realize that the ER staff consists of a finite number of people. If you come in with a sprain, a bad migraine, a terrible toothache, you may have to wait your turn while someone who is having a heart attack , a stroke, or bleeding profusely is treated first.
I recently needed physical therapy and was very happy with the care I received in PT. From the receptionist to the therapist, everyone was kind and went out of their way to help me. The hospital has a lovely unique gift shop. With one of a kind items such as homemade cookies and lots of jewelry. Perfect place to buy a gift.
He (orthopedic dr dhawan) doesnt remember anything said to or from him, from one appointment to another. He misdiagnosed me three times at least!!!! He really doesnt know what he is doing. He is a really nice person but unfortunately isnt a very good doctor. He doesnt look at the actual images from MRIs etc either. And he never backs up any of his patients if there is an issue. My husband and I went to him for years because he was in a convenient location and a nice guy but it wound up being a dangerous mistake.
Well where do I start I went in very ill was left for hours in the er with a fluid bag empty and no place to vomit. They where having a shift change and never even ran any testing on me just pumped me full of meds and released me !! This hospital is absolutely the worst !!
I have been a volunteer at ERH for 27 years and have seen many changes during that time. This hospital has grown in to one of the most awesome hospitals in the area. My husband John and I have personally used many of the facilities here and we would like to give everyone some of the adjective we use when talking about ERH ... Considerate, Professional Kind, Caring, Knowledgeable, and so very Compassionate about the treatment of their patients. Thank you ELLENVILLE REGIONAL HOSPITAL for all you do. Sylvia Fogarty
I went there the day after my birthday in January because my mother had COPD symptoms and I had an anxiety attack and nobody wanted to see me for my anxiety. As for my mom, she was put in a bed, wheezing for fifteen minutes. It’s this hospital’s way of saying “Nobody cares.” I was having a panic attack and nobody wanted to help me. When we were being transported by ambulance, the paramedics called in my anxiety attack and my mom’s COPD. They only wanted to see my mom for her issue. Not me for my anxiety.
I would give no stars if I could. I went last summer to the ER due to being in horrible pain from impacted wisdom teeth that became infected. I was scheduled for a dentist in a few days time but one night the pain became so bad. I could tell the PA’s or whoever it was did not believe me even though they said oh yeah that does look bad. I was sent home with some ibuprofen and crying bc it was hurtful the way they treated me and I could sense they thought I was seeking drugs when I was unfortunately truly in pain. Very unprofessional and hurtful to people who are actually suffering.
I have been suffering from depressionFor the past couple of monthsI went to Ellenville Hospital looking for help My appointment was on the 1st of this month And I still have not heard anything back from them Days are getting harder and harder Dont know how much longer I will last This hospital is the worst
Absolutely worst hospital I have ever been too over the summer Of 2019 I fell into a camp fire had 3rd degree burn on my knee and 2nd degree burns on both of the palms of my hand when I got there I did not receive no medical attention but too run my hands underneath cold water (this pain was excruciating by the way), and instead of getting an ambulance too westchester burn unit they made my parents take our personal vehicle floating in and out of consciousness from the excruciating pain of the burns and didn’t arrive too westchester medical center until 3 hours later...absolutely terrible hospital
I went there for abdominal pain buckled over in tears a doctor fairly young with long brown hair asked me to be quite as I waited for an hour before the gave me any pain medication ..I know what wrong with me now but took an out of county doctor to figure it out..the doctors an nurses there acted as if I was disturbing them by being there..expecially the fat white woman that seem to only care about her lunch..imagine laying in a bed crying for help while she snacked on her food an no one would do anything to try an help relieve your pain for an hour ..worste hospital I have ever been to ..if your dying dont go to ellenville hospital they will just sit on there ass eat there food an watch ..ooh an you will suffer a painful death to..
HORRIBLE! I WENT IN FOR A BREATHING CONDITION..... MY VITALS WERE TAKEN ...AND PUT IN A BED. NO ONE (except for a sign in sheet person) ...NO ONE ... CAME TO SEE ME!!! Not even for a glass of water.. NO ONE!!! ..FOR ALMOST ONE and HALF HOURS. I FINALLY GOT UP AND LEFT ...AT CHECKOUT ... THE NURSE SAID SHE WAS Busy!!!. SOMETHING IS VERY VERY WRONG AT THE ELLENVILLE HOSPITAL!!!. AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE,,,
I thought Kingston hospital was bad, but ever since Ellenville had there whole “make over” the wait time is ridiculous, I remember this emergency room used to be in and out with in an hour. But today I came in with an ear infection I described as “excruciating pain” that needs to be looked at and I’ve been sitting here for over an hour an a half an no one has come to bring me in. If you have little kids keep them away from this sorry excuse for a hospital and go to the nearest other than Ellenville, completely unprofessional and unacceptable!!! The purpose for emergency rooms are immediate care and that this point I could’ve made an appointment at family practice on a walk in and gotten taken care of quicker!!!

2022-05-17Everyone beware, do not go here for Workers Comp related injuries. Dr.Intigens incompetence knows no bounds. He has scheduled me for the wrong office, been an hour late to appointments, and has no courtesy when dealing with patients. Appointments last no longer than 5 minutes, as you are not worth Dr.Intigens time. I honestly believe hes kept me on workers comp for going on 5 months now, just so he can get a monthly check. Do your best to get yourself into a better hospital

2022-03-11My nurse and doctor are absolutely amazing. I came in throwing up etc and they took me right back and I have blood, iv, meds all within 20mins of being here. Everyone is very nice and helpful. I’ve only had issues with one doctor here thankfully. I am happy to say that when I needed them to pull through for me and help me they did not let me down. Thank you for your help.

2021-11-04I have quite a history with ERH. I have been in the Swing Bed Unit 3 times, following an ankle surgery and 2 knee replacements. I have also worked with their physical therapists extensively on an outpatient basis. I could not have asked for a better placement - a small hospital with top notch personal care, and it’s so close to where I live. The Swing Bed Unit is an excellent choice for those who need inpatient rehabilitation following orthopedic surgery. It is not easy to get insurance approval for such admissions, and each time the coordinator for Swing Bed advocated on my behalf. I was always treated with professionalism, kindness and respect. Their physical therapy department is the simply the best and helped me to regain full mobility each time. Since I live alone I really needed the help I got at ERH. I don’t know what I would have done without them.As I am looking at a shoulder replacement in 2 months it is my hope and prayer to be able to get into the Swing Bed Unit once again. I know I will be in good hands there, and would recommend it to anyone needing after surgery inpatient care.

2021-10-27I blew my knee out playing kickball (embarrassing, I know), and when they told me that I needed physical therapy, I was not thrilled to say the least. But Ellenville Regional Hospital made PT very comfortable for me. The doctors and staff are really nice and made PT go really fast. I hate hospitals in general but Ellenville really made the experience enjoyable.

2021-07-21About 5 weeks ago my son had a pool accident we took him to ERH and they were WONDERFUL. Thank you to all the ER&radiology staff for being quick, kind and making sure he received the care he needed, and made sure he was sent out safely and in a timely manner. He is healing great, we are grateful without your quick response and accurate treatment his condition may have been much worse. Thank you again.

2021-09-24Went in feeling so bad, I have felt like this before. I was guessing pneumonia because I have had it in the past, but this time felt 10x worse. I was in the emergency waiting room for hours, to finally be seen and just get a chest x-ray and blood drawn. They said it was pneumonia, and sent me away with a z-pack, which is what I have already been taking. I then went to Garnet Health Hospital, got admitted, and diagnosed with pneumonia, I was septic with a white blood cell count of 33! And got a positive parasite smear for Lyme disease and Anaplasmosis. I stayed overnight for two nights. And still got sent away with effective medicine.l Thank goodness for Garnet. When I was better and back to work, all Ellenville did was call and apologize, not to me directly, but to my work I was at. And still billed me.

2021-12-27Legally rip you off with ridiculous bill. almost $3000 for a 2.5 cm finger cut.send a physical services bill after paid my hospital bill. I guess they figure out way to make more money.should put more bandage on and let it heal it self.

2020-11-05I recently went to Ellenville Hospital for a minor procedure in the OR. From the moment I walked in the door (& had my temp taken) I was treated with respect and like I “mattered”. The young women at both the door and check-in were kind and professional. The pre-op nurses were fantastic, professional and did everything in their power to keep my nerves at bay. The OR staff were fabulous as well and kept everything as lighthearted as possible. This was my first visit to Ellenville hospital for any reason and I’d have no qualms about returning at any time.

2021-10-07Yall make me sick. I watched one of your nurses take out an IV and clean up dried blood on the floor and then proceed to go into the clean utility room with those same contaminated gloves, touching door handles and grabbing things out of said room. If thats how youre training your nurses to handle infection control than I pray for every single patient you have in that hospital. Disgusted is an understatement.

2019-07-26Ellenville Regional Hospital is a great place that provides quality professional services close to home. Their staff are always very compassionate and professional while providing care in such a special way that you can not receive at larger institutions. When going to the Emergency Room, a person never waits long to be evaluated. I feel every time I have been to the ER for myself or with a family member the staff are attentive and professional while providing the best treatment possible. The hospital also makes available to the community many outpatient services. I have utilized their Physical Therapy department, Outpatient OR, Radiology Department, and Outpatient Clinic at one time or another and have always received the best treatment from friendly professional staff. The equipment is new and up to date and the facility always appears to be clean and well maintained.I would recommend this hospital and the outpatient services to anyone in the community and surrounding area who needs or is looking for professional care from a compassionate group of people.
