Emerald Point in other cities:
We love the gazebo bar overlooking the lake. Nice views and there is always a little breeze. The food is always good and the prices are reasonable. Their lobsta roll is out of this world, I order it every time we eat here! It is dressed with basil, lemon and a little mayo. It is served with crispy French fries. My husband enjoys the chicken parm, the philly sandwich, burgers and many other sandwiches. We usually start with a cocktail and share the chicken tempura. Its light, crispy and comes with celery, blue cheese dressing as well as 2 dipping sauces of your choice. We like the honey garlic and teriyaki sauces. The atmosphere here is casual and all of the bartenders have always been attentive and friendly.
This is one of my favorite places to go with my lady. We love sitting at the bar and enjoy the view of Greenwood Lake. The bar just got a face-lift, the bartenders are cool and get to know everyone, in particular Angie is our favorite. Food is good, lots of different choices on the menu, I recommend the clams in white wine and also the calzone if its available. The staff all seem to be having fun, the restaurant has a huge outdoor patio which half is covered by a canopy. If you walk around the grounds, there are picnic tables and Adirondack chairs on the ground level where you can bring your brew down and enjoy a stogie while sitting by the lake. Also, there is a full size beach volleyball court, 2 horse shoe pits. Last thing to mention, while hanging out at Emeralds you will always see really cool cars and bikes, people really bring their Sunday best to the Point.
Barely spoke to any of the staff the entire time. Waitress took our orders and and checked on us once. Appetizer was chops and salsa, half the chips were stale like they mixed them with fresh or something and barely any salsa. Waited for ever for water refills, never asked if I wanted a refill on my beer, and took over an hour for food to get to the table although it was 3 simple meals. My whole meal was cold which I had to go up to the hostess and tell her which was fixed by what Im assuming was the manager. Overall food was not great, service was bad, and really the view is okay. Basically like a harbor with the boats and things but otherwise not a true lake view.
Ill determine the rating after Ive been here a couple more times. The French dip sandwich I had here the last time was spot-on good fries and very friendly and good service. the last time I showed up I had the personal size pizza which was also very good. When I sit down for real dinner Ill let you know if I will give it a full five stars
I will start with the good. The restaurant was clean and the location is great! The food, however, not so good. They have mac & cheese on the menu as a main dish for a whopping $16.00. I asked if I could get it as a side dish and was told no. I ordered it anyway. It looked like something you would get from the kids menu. Just a bowl of penne pasta with orange cheese sauce. It tasted like it was made with American Cheese and just not very good at all. A huge disappointment for $16.00! We also ordered fish and chips for $21.00. That was better, but the two small pieces of fish were overcooked. The service was just okay. We had to ask for refills after our drinks had been empty for quite some time. Probably will not go back.
Beautiful views, friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Among our party of 4, one grew up in Greenwood Lake and knew the Emerald well. The food was generous and the Chicken Franchese, Chicken Marango and Boneless Beef Ribs not only looked delicious but apparently tasted even more so. My Jaegerschnitzel, however, had poultry seasoning in the coating, sage overwhelming the taste of the pork! This dish should get it’s flavor from the mushroom gravy, which was outstanding by the way. The spaetzle and red cabbage were perfect compliments. Still, one bad portion does not a bad restaurant make. Maybe the chef forgot Thanksgiving was a week ago. That said, I’ll definitely go back.
We have been to Emerald Point 2 different times one was our wedding anniversary and it was great. We tried to go on Monday the website said it opened at noon but it was closed. So tonight we went to have dinner. First of all, we ate inside because its chilly out and our drinks were in plastic cups that was our first red flag. The menu isnt like we remembered blame it on the pandemic. We ordered off of the special menu my husband ordered surf and turf that looked amazing and I ordered the seafood pasta the shelled fish was not cleaned very sandy and gritty I was extremely disappointed. I work in a restaurant and sending back food is unexceptable.
We went with our motorcycle club. Our server was excellent wish I could remember his name. But it was very sunny and we saw tables available in the shade so we moved. Although I can understand the inconvenience this may cause the manager of the host made such a big deal and made us feel very uncomfortable and keep rolling her eyes at us every time. Our server in the other hand said he was happy to serve us and did it with a big smile! Thank you! But since management made us feel unwelcome during the entire time Ill give them 1 star.
First time having been here and had an awesome experience. The appetizers were delicious and my grilled chicken Ceasars Salad was yummy. The staff went above and beyond, very attentive to everyone. I definitely recommend this place and I will definitely visit again. 😋
Stopped for lunch. This casual outdoor lakeside view restaurant has great service, highly observant to pandemic procedures, reasonably priced menu with nice selection, and clean restrooms. Our group of 12 all enjoyed their apps and main dishes. Mixed drinks were light.
Very crowded post quarantine. It took a little while for the service to get around to us but for the most part it was a good experience. Parking lot for cars and dock for boats and jet skis just in case you wanted to pull up Lakeside. The blackened chicken pizza was delicious but theyre specialty coffees with liquor in them were to die for. Make sure to call if you plan on placing an order for takeout as they are not doing takeout at the front for the time being. This may change once quarantine rules become more relaxed. However, there is lots of great outdoor seating along with an outdoor bar. they also have face masks for sale at the front just in case you forgot yours.
Excellent food. The Steak Sandwich, Ahi Tuna wrap are great. The pene mac and cheese is to die for. The homemade mashed potatoes are incedible. The beer and beverage list is great. The service is professional and friendly. On top of that The, the water view is magical.
Went to drop off a boat at GWL on a rainy cool October day and decided to stop in for lunch. Even though it was rainy was still great sitting inside by the electric fireplace enjoying the view of the lake. Had a burger which was very good, my friends also enjoyed the pizza and tuna wrap they ordered. Service was good.
Never disappointed at this restaurant. We go regularly during the year, but did New Years eve for the second time on Thursday and the food was AWESOME, as it was last New Years eve. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. Looking forward to going back in a few weeks.
They had dock space for at least a dozen boats so we were able to call, place our order, and pick our food up at the dock. They also have some outdoor seating and plenty of parking. The burger I got was delicious and my friend got a salad which he also really enjoyed.
We try to go at least once a summer on a beautiful day and tonight we went out for our first post Covid dining experience (anywhere). We always enjoy the view of the boats going in and out and the atmosphere on the deck. The food is good and the service is friendly. Tonight was no exception. They did a great job adhering to the Covid restrictions.
Restaurant has great potential, beautiful location, nice spread, great concept. Although It looks nice and for some odd reason its always booming (I think cause of the bar) with customers the food is slightly below so-so. Additionally the staff acts like your barely even there and they are disrespectful. I wish they would revamp there structure to include menu, customer service, and specialty items because honestly Id be very hesitant to label what they call their special items special items. Its a shame just look at how the owners response to people on the reviews. No accountability! Good look emerald point
Nice place overlooking the east arm of Greenwood Lake. Good selection of food to cover everyones taste. We love going and ordering a pile of apitizerers with drinks and hanging on the deck watching the boats go by. Nice way to spend an afternoon or evening. Good food and drink plus a view worth going.
The food was just ok had The salmon was a little dry, but tasty, the vegetables were actually pretty good. Mashed potatoes not so good. The drinks also O.k. had a Cosmo, the view however was beautiful. Would I go again maybe but just for the view. The price was reasonable
I loved the fish and chips! it was so crispy! And it was very filling! after the first 4 bites i was FULL! But it was so good i just couldn’t leave it there! But the reason i give a nine is because the one person took my mothers plate as she’s eating off it. it seemed like he was trying to rush us. they are VERY fast taking your plate but very slow giving it to you. We waited SO long. This is not a place to go if ur in a rush. The check took a while to get to us. But the sights are amazing! you get to see the beautiful lake! The whole thing was either really long or really fast. But overall it was great!
We enjoyed the beautiful weather by sitting outside on their large covered deck. The atmosphere was nice and with 5 kids in tow good for everyone. The mussels were delicious, but steer away from the Mexican chicken wrap. They also have a large sand pit that attracts youngins - avoid if you dont want sand all over, enjoy if you like sand castles and playing in sand. No charging stations for cars near by.
We came for shelter in a crazy rain storm while riding through the area on motorcycles. Not only they didn’t serve us drinks at the bar , they started yelling that we are not welcomed! I could not believe what I heard! I understand liquor licenses and covid 19 situation. But come on people, let’s have common sense! We are all human beings, let’s still be!!!! It’s a bad business to refuse customers and especially to refuse shelter for someone who’s asking for it in bad weather situation. It was only a 20 minute storm that needed to pass with “seek shelter” warnings.
Emerald Point doesn’t seem very easy to find, but tons of folks do find it, especially on nice summer weekend days. The setting is perfect, with a large outdoor patio and bar overlooking the lake. It’s the perfect spot for some seafood, a beer, and watching life unwind slowly on the lake. The food is good, though fairly average, along the lines of what you’d expect from a bar and grill in a more rural location. The service was good except for a grumpy hostess who insisted on making us wait for a table with two extra seats even though we had children in a stroller who we insisted did not need seats. The setting alone makes a visit worthwhile.
Always good food. We love eating here, pull the boat right up to their dock. Kid friendly. Very nice outdoor atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff. Good prices. Infrequently, it can get loud at the outdoor bar, and the mosquitos can be vicious, but those are minor things. Dont let the motorcycles deter you - its not a biker bar.
The view is lovely and the staff was friendly. We were seated immediately upon arrival by the hostess. The wait for someone to take our order was pretty long. I glanced over my shoulder to see the waitresses/runners talking amongst each other in a circle while waiting so long.Once we ordered the service was speedy. Our waitress never gave us her name or even mentioned she was our waitress. We ordered a penne vodka and added chicken which was an additional 4 dollars for the chicken but when the dish arrived it didnt have any chicken in it.We didnt make a fuss about the chicken and it was taken off our bill. The same waitress who took care of thatissue was a good worker who seemed to be as effective as possible.Half way through our meal, there wasnt any available waitress or waiter to refill our water and the food felt harder to bring down.Prior to that our assumed waitress did ask if everything was ok but we werent aware that our drinks may or may have not needed to be refilled. After our meal was finished we managed to get water with lemon. Which we were excited about from one of the runners and not our actual waitress. We heard another table nearby talking about how he was trying to signal a waitress over for awhile and got no response and was blatantly ignored.I did see workers doing their jobs but possibly they were understaffed?Managment needs to make sure the flow of service is steady.
Waitress was super sweet and that’s why we gave it 1 star. Food was terrible . Ordered Tempura Chicken as an appetizer and what came out was fried chicken breast over cooked and dry. The pizzas were tasteless ( even the sausage and onion had no flavor). My Pear salad had a very heavy dressing that weighed down the spinach and the bagged shredded cheese was not good. Sad because the view was great. They need to step up the plate and hire new chefs/ cooks . Waste of my hard earned money
There is a indoor bar that is kinda dark and usually locals watching sports. Then a indoor dining area as well as a outdoor dining area that has a view of the lake. My favorite part is the outdoor tiki bar with great views of the lake. We are really not big fans of the dinner menu here but the lunch menu pretty good for burgers, pizza and sandwiches. On nice weekends you will have a lot of cool bikers here for lunch and drinks.
Best bartenders in town, an amazingly diverse-american menu. They dont add stupid things like mayo aeoli or make the caeser salad completely Kale. The food is what it is, what it says on the menu, and it is phenomenal.TRY THE CAJUN CHICKEN MAC N CHEESEIt would be my last meal on death row.Outside bar has a spectacular view of a beautiful Greenwood Lake in Hudson Valley, and any of the outside tables open from the beginning of spring to the start of winter offer the same beautiful view. Id recommend this place to anyone willing to listen
The food is always good. The staff is always good and friendly. OK view of the lake because its on the arm. Biggest complaint is the other guests. Its the only place I ever had a problem with people making comments about me being gay. Since that time I also encountered people giving dirty looks. I wont go during there busy hours at all. The town is super gay friendly. Thats why my wife and I are raising our children here.
Good food at reasonable prices. Good selection of drinks. Food quality is good though presentation is basic. The wait staff is fast and friendly. The lakeside atmosphere is great and the outdoor dining area is nice. A good place to go on a nice summer night for dinner and drinks.
Good food . The only thing is I didnt like the choice of the salad dressing, why cant you also have Russia, French or thousand island as a choice. I did bring my salad home to put my own dressing on but I would rather have had it there. Otherwise the food, services and atmosphere was great.
Great food! And amazing service. The receipt said L. Kelli. So not sure her full name but she was a great server along with the great food. I do a 5 point system when I see the way servers act with their customers and she deserved a 10 outside my scale very helpful nice knowledgable good memory and thoughtful. Thank you :) from Minnesota!
The place was nice the staff was friendly ..but was very disappointed with the food ..its was prickly but I wouldnt have minded that .I had the fish and chips the food was cold but over cooked and the fish was like small fish stick..the mussels where cold took them home. And the people I was with didnt care for there food it was cold
I ordered the Emerald Point Mac and Cheese with Shrimp. The dish was mostly saucey. It was a watered-down cheese sauce. You can tell it was from a can and not homemade. The pasta wasnt even macaroni pasta. How do you name a dish Mac and Cheese when theres no mac? Seasoning? Whats that? Maybe they ran out. Dish was as bland as a desert. Ill give props to my drink of choice. Water. They didnt mess it up.
For the first nice day of the year youd think they would have planned ahead for the sun (no canopy up) and large crowd. My food was good but others at my table complained thiers was not. One got her salad with no dressing. One asked for bacon and the bacon looked like it was not cooked at all. We waited over an hour to get food (in the hot sun). And the wait staff was RUDE! Id be willing to try again as maybe it was just a bad day but not on a busy Sunday afternoon.
Worst restaurant experience i ever had, my first time eating in dark after 50 minutes waiting 2 thick steak with plastic knife and fork (knife not allowed out door) why didnt mention that when i ordered ? and the 2 shrimp dishes one came with 6 shrimps and the other one with 4 shrimps, then added someone else bill to my tab but 3 drinks wasnt enough for me to sign credit card receipt, definitely wasnt worth the $200 i paid

2022-06-27I must say the last couple of years the food has been so good! I am a year round customer, but ofcourse summer time is a favorite to bring family & friends to enjoy the lake atmosphere. Service has been great too! Taking in consideration the type of restaurant, the summer vibes, food, service, boating accommodations, I give them a thumbs up..👍

2022-06-26Food was so-so. Tempura chicken app was heavily fried, very disappointing. Chicken parm was so so as well. Fries were great!Service was only outdoors....not sure why.... it was sunny and over 85 degrees outside.View was great, but not enough for us to to return again.

2018-08-10I came here because i heard the view was amazing. I will agree with that the view is pretty during sunset. The food was amazing i had the crispy chicken wrap which was very flavorful. The waitress was okay i would say she was great. She was slow with our food and drinks. The environment is great, very chill and low key.
