Empire Halal in other cities:
Just had the worst experience from this place. I ordered a falafel gyro, I carried it all the way back home in the heat, opened up had a bite, swallowed it only to realize it was a chicken gyro. Im vegan btw. Next, I start eating my fries after I almost finish them I find a normal size fried latern fly under the fries left!!! I mean come on... the irony is that I walked all the way there cause I saw good reviews on Google. I guess not my luck for a falafel today.
This was our goto cart until today. It has been awhile since we visited but prices have gone up ( to be expected) but the amount of meat has also decreased substantially. Definitely not the same quality and quantity. For the price well have to go elsewhere for lunch. Very disappointing.
Got chicken here that looked like super red salmon. Can synthetic “food color” be halal? It’s definitely not a pure natural ingredient. And it’s linked to hyperactivity in children (intoxicating and causing ADHD) and is even a carcinogen. Red 40 is nothing like annato or achiote.I hope Empire Halal can improve this and stop using synthetic dyes.
Oh my goodness...did not expect this food to be so good! Ive had Halal at other spots, but this one is beyond amazing! I was even able to order pickup via Seamless/GrubHub...no fuss!Their chicken and lamb over rice as well as their chicken gyros taste just as good 2-3 days later as it did the day of!
Good food and the guy was super nice. My total was $21 and I only had two twenties and he gave me back one, telling me to keep it. Fortunately my husband had some singles to tip him. We got chicken over rice and samosas. The chicken over rice was a giant portion and the white and hot sauces were good too. Samosas came w a sweet chili sauce and tangy cilantro sauce. Definitely try it if you’re in the area!
Truly one of the best trucks in the city! Not only is the food absolutely delicious, Steve is hilarious and very kind. I’ve always had great experiences stopping by the truck for lunch. I highly recommend their chicken over rice with chopped pita bread on top. Definitely check them out! Can’t recommend Empire enough.
Empire Halal Kebab & Grill on 3rd Ave and 65th Street is the best. The food is very well seasoned, the vegetables are fresh, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are friendly and polite. Ive been eating there for 4 years, and dont intend to stop. You HAVE to check them out!!!
This place is definitely 5 stars and i back up everything i say about it! I would like to start it off by saying steve is such a kind nice wonderful employee that give wonderful customer service and he’s so nice! always makes my order every time i come into grab my food! Food is fresh and tastes very authentic and good! Would recommend this for anyone who’s locally around the neighborhood who’s looking for a quick good meal to have. I also recommend u guys to get steve’s special ice coffee it’s really good.
Fabulous Afghan food. Im so lucky this truck is right across the street from my apartment. I recommend the chicken over rice, and dont skimp on the green + hot sauce. Their rice pudding is also really good and theyre so friendly. I was shocked when my total for entree + dessert + soda was only 11 dollars. Its restaurant quality.
I love going to this food truck on my break, their very reliable and fast !! Not to mention reasonably priced !!!The food is always great I usually order fish and salad and Steve and his team hook it up !!I love the consistency in their food and I would definitely recommend to anyone who want a quick and delicious meal to check out empire !
From the food to the customer service all I can say in one word is Wow!Steve always takes care of me and my friends whenever we stop by . We used to go eat at halal guys but after trying this food one afternoon we realized what difference in taste is the food and as well as customer service . God bless Steve and god bless empire halal !
I was really excited to try this place given the numerous high reviews. I think this place is just ok. More generous on the meat than other trucks but also more expensive. Their chicken quality and consistency is like Rafiqis. The fish was also very tasty. Salad is very fresh.

2022-06-14Tasty food, friendly service, average to perhaps slightly above average prices, average NYC food cart portions.Tried the chicken and lamb over rice the first time, good enough that I came back again. Both the chicken and lamb had good texture, personally preferred the lamb which has stronger flavour.Would come again.

2022-07-07Was craving a bowl of gyro and thank god this place happened to be right outside my place! The meats, sauces, rice, and veggies all work together perfectly to create a flavorful, powerful meal! I also loved the pickled jalapenos, definitely ask for extra of those. Great spot and super affordable!

2022-06-11My first time today and it was absolutely delicious! I got the chicken gyro, total mess to eat as gyros usually are, but well worth the roll of paper towels I used while eating it. Chicken has some gold colored sauce on it with a hint of mustard flavor that was delicious, the veggies were super fresh, cucumbers crisp, and I dont like cucumbers but ate every one of them, and the pita fresh and white sauce flavorful. Healthy portion sizes. I think I was most struck by how FRESH all the ingredients were!

2022-06-13Empire Halal Kabab & Grill is parked on Third Avenue and East 65th St. big food truck serves up gyros, meat + rice platter, and more from lunchtime to dinnertime. there are small variety of soft drinks as well. residents and workers in the area are the regulars for these street eats. lines aren’t uncommon but they move relatively quick.stopped here for a chicken gyro and it was a pleasant experience. the food? very good. the grilled chicken was seasoned and spiced well. a good amount of crunchy veggies piled on. the pita was soft and warm. a good amount of sauce and hot sauce. it all made for a savory sandwich. chicken gyro, $7 + tipthe service was friendly and personable.

2022-05-25Been waiting to try and finally tried it!Definitely delicious… had mixed platter chicken and lamb with white, red, and mango habanero sauceJust a side note, i thought mango habanero would be very spicy but i felt the sweetness more then the spiciness

2021-09-22The guys at Empire Halal were very nice and friendly. After I placed my order, the owner offered me and my husband a free lemonade and iced tea. The food is magnificent. Dont forget to drop by if this is your 1st time visiting New York or if youve lived here your whole life

2022-03-17The best halal in the area! The taste is really clean with some good spices. It doesn’t feel overly greasy like other places. They give tons of veggies (which I liked — it helped balance the rest of the food) and also huge portions too! Would totally recommend and would come back again.
