My wife had an appointment with Katie. Katie was in no rush and took all the time my wife needed. We left feeling and hearing better. Hearing aids are just not a speaker that goes in your ear they need to be adjusted for your hearing issue. They did that. Took their time and after three different hearing aids thru the last ten years she had a pair to try that fit way better in her ears and for the last 24 hours it’s great not to hear her say “say it again”. Yes there are cheaper ones out there at the big box stores or chains country wide but are they the right ones for you? Well we believe we found that answer! Great care.
I have been going to J Waligora for many years and have been happy with the service, for the most part, until last year when I had a very unsatisfactory experience and almost stopped going there.I am so glad I returned, Katie worked with me this year and not only corrected last year’s problem but worked diligently to find a solution for me. Katie was kind, compassionate and extremely committted to helping me. She was professional and scientific in her approach, while being supportive.I highly recommend working with Katie, she is fantastic!

I have gone to Waligora for a long time. Despite occasionalchanges in personnel, their excellence has not declined.They are patient and thorough. They paired my hearing aidwith my iPad so I can listen to music (mainly through YouTube)through my hearing aid. And the sound of that music isterrific! They also helped me acquire a caption phone, whichI sorely needed. They always answer one’s questions. Theyare like good teachers at explaining things. The waiting roomis always a clean, quiet, comfortable place. Yesterday, ithad some instructional TV about hearing.I highly recommend this audiologist!
From Emily at the front desk, to Debra Sandbrook and Katie Duff the Audiologists, the staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them for any questions you have regarding hearing loss.

I can not say enough about J Waligora Audiology! I have been a client of their’s for many years. I have a severe asymmetrical hearing loss and both Megan and Katie have bent over backwards to keep both my hearing aides in tip top shape! Always professional, courteous and caring! Well organized office which followed strict covid protocols. Dr. was easy to work with, seemed to understand my needs and offered several options. The hearing aids are not cheap. Run at the high end. Im sure you could find others less expensive, (depends on what generation of aids they are) but I wont know how good mine are until receiving them next week. They only carry three brands. It is a little like buying a car, the Doctor drops you off to a salesman who spins the tale. But, it really isnt any different from other shops.

They take very good care of my mom(June) she is very hard of hearing and they are very patient and kind with her and go above and beyond to make her feel comfortable when she cant hear.

Being a patient of Waligora for about 5 years I cannot say enough about the high level of service and expertise of the audiologists and the staff. They have helped me overcome my diminished hearing and allowed me a way to understand my grandchildren and other contacts in my daily life. I have never felt like they were “up selling “ me into equipment I did not want or need. I have always felt they have my best interests at heart. I highly recommend them to anyone desiring to improve their quality of life by improving their diminished hearing .
I have my new hearing aides and just went back for my first follow-up appointment. Dr. Lou Billera is great - a person enthusiastically dedicated to his work and it shows. These new hearing aides are amazing. The technology far surpasses my last pair (which by the way, I thought were pretty awesome at the time). J Waligora continues in their tradition of providing the best hearing experience for their patients.
9/28/18 update. Have new hearing aids and they are the cats you know what. Such a big difference from my old ones. Service by Lou and the office staff is great. They are all so helpful. Would recommend J Waligora Audiology to anyone with hearing issues.
Both my mother and brother have been patients at Waligora Audiology. The Doctor and staff were very pleasant, appointments were on time, the hearing aids worked exceptionally well, and the follow up service has continued to be very good. I would recommend this practice.
I wear a hearing aid and have been with J. Waligora for many years. Today I was seen by Louis, who is a Doctor of Audiology. He helped me today as my hearing aid was not working and found what was wrong and now it is working. He is an excellent doctor, very knowledgeable, personable , understanding, and spends time answering my questions and I recommend him highly. So glad he is at the Waligora practice! Also the receptionist is very sweet!

I went for an initial hearing evaluation today. The receptionist was very welcoming and answered any questions I had about this visit.My hearing test itself was performed by an audiologist called Lou and he explained the testing process including how it would be done, how long it would take, when I would learn the results.The process was very interesting and non threatening. At each part of the exam Lou explained what he was going to to do. The manner in which the test results were communicated was clear and reassuring. I was also very pleasantly surprised to learn that this initial exam would be free!I plan to continue going to this practice and would highly recommend it to others.
Waligora Audiology came highly recommended to me.When I brought my mother in for evaluation she was treated by Dr. Megan Jordan who is a highly competent and knowledgeable professional.The purchase of hearing aids are an expensive endeavor, yet there was no high pressure sales;Dr Jordan was a pleasure with whom to work.I brought my mother back for her 6 month hearing aid check/cleaning today and it was a totally different experience. Dr. Amy Wenner met us in the parking lot and retrieved the hearing aids and said she would be back in 15 minutes with them cleaned and we could be on our way. After 1 hour, I called the office to inquire if there was a problem and had to leave a message on the answering machine. 10 minutes later Dr. Wenner came back with the hearing aids. When asked what the delay had been she stated she “ got distracted”. When asked to speak with her supervisor she replied,” My supervisor, that’s a good question”. I then requested to file a formal complaint as well as her business card. She returned 7 minutes later and handed us a business card with Debra Sandbrook on it; she crossed it off and wrote her name on it saying,” I’ve been here since March and don’t have business cards yet”. When asked for the complaint form, she said “You’ll have to speak with Jeremy Swanson, he’s the regional VP. Give me your number and I’ll have him call you”. When I asked when we might expect to hear back from him, she shrugged her shoulders and said she didn’t knowThis interaction and substandard costumer service removed the confidence we had when originally interacting with this business. This experience has left my mother and I believing that rather than being a valued customer she is just an after thought.I would consider this before making a purchase from this business.Such a difference 6 months makes.Buyer beware.
I have been a client of this practice for many years. They are the best!They also have integrity. I had an appt. with them Mon. 2/12/2018 becausemy left hearing aid was dead and my right one didn’t easily play the songwhen first inserted. Although the right one functioned, it did not seemup to par.I was concerned that they might try to sell me a new hearing aid.Dr. Jordan replaced the receivers (wires) in both hearing aids. She didnot charge me for the right one because I had had the problem when thehearing aid was still under warranty. She did charge me for the leftreceiver. But receivers cost far less than hearing aids.But with both hearing aids in place (the songs in both aids coming onstrongly and promptly when inserted), I could literally hear better than Ihad in months. It was like a new hearing aid. All I could think was thatDr. Jordan was like a miracle worker!Dr. Jordan said the receivers die/deteriorate from normal wear and tear;I didn’t do anything wrong!
I am an insurance executive with profound deafness who has been a patient for the last 15 years. With the excellent treatment I have received I have been able to advance my career in spite of my hearing loss. Louis and Megan have always treated me with compassion and respect. With modern technology I am able to talk on the phone via my blue tooth hearing aids. For anyone considering hearing aids, just do it, you will marvel at everything you have been missing.
My experience with my new updated hearing aids has been nothing but positive with Waligora Audiology. Louis Billera(my consulting audiologist) shown sincere concern to make my handicap more tolerable. He suggested various functions with my aids to bring about clarity and efficiency. My meetings with Louis were not only effective and comfortable, but enjoyable. I certainly would recommend Waligora Audiology to others based on the aforementioned.
The audiologists really explained their findings clearly and demonstrated in a very practical and dramatic manner how hearing aids could help me. Theie clear explanations continued through the process of fitting the hearing aids and adjusting their performance. The audiologists and the front office staff are both very friendly and professional.
I have come here for years. My old hearing aide, I will admit, I didn’t care for. I came for a check up and was given the opportunity to try new technology hearing aides. I LOVE my new hearing aides..they sync to my phone..I can participate in normal conversations now with friends and at work..my life is so much better! The staff is friendly and professional! I originally went to Oviatt , YEARS AGO. Had a terrible experience and never went back. I was sceptical to go anywhere else. I was recently recommended to go here and it was totally different. I was explained my results after having a FREE HEARING TEST and only sold what I needed while the entire time not feeling pressured to buy. I bought on my time and now LOVE my hearing aids. I recommend this place to anyone that needs ANYTHING to do with hearing including just having your hearing checked. The entire staff is friendly and caring for your needs on your time.
I love the Starkey hearing aids I purchased recently.Dr. Jordan paired them to my iPad. Now I can connecteither my Canz speaker or my hearing aids to theiPad, and it is easy to switch from one to the other.I mainly listen to music on YouTube through myhearing aids; it is wonderful to wander all over thehouse listening to music through my hearing aids,while the iPad itself just sits in one room!I am having success with this because of Dr. Jordan.She was so patient and excellent in teaching mehow to use the hearing aids that I asked her if shehad ever been a teacher. She said yes!I highly recommend J Waligora Audiology!

The people at Empire Hearing have always gone well out of their way as far as helping me with hearing related issues. Dr. Lou, who recently joined East Syracuse, is an enthusiastic bright and, most of all technically competent clinician with the user iPhone/ hearing aid interface. He taught me all that I needed to know (even about translating other languages-who knew your phone could say something in his or her language that originated from my English). He made it look easy.

2022-08-04Fastest, easiest way I ever thought earrings aids would take to get for my mother. Very polite accurate employees. The Dr was amazing, I will forever be greatful to her as she changed my mothers life forever. She was diagnosed with a hole in her ear drum as well as very very poor hearing due to aging. I would highly recommend anyone in need for hearing aids to do it. THANK YOU! from the bottom of my heart ❤️

2022-03-31I have been going to this practice for a few years now after having difficulty with my right ear. After my hearing test, it was discovered that I had hearing loss in both ears and needed hearing aids. Since then I have come regularly for my rechecks and have found the staff to be very professional and easy to talk to regarding any concerns I might have. The transition to my hearing aids has been very easy, and it is amazing at what hearing aids can do for a person today.

2022-06-13I had a great experience with J Waligora Audiology! Emily went well above-and-beyond expectations in helping me. I am from Colorado and was visiting Syracuse last week. Upon arrival I discovered my Oticon charger for my re-chargable hearing aids didnt get packed. I was left with no way to recharge my hearing aids for the week. I had some important business, including a college graduation, to attend to in Syracuse--I needed to be able to hear. I went to J Waligora (they were near my hotel) and explained my situation. Emily sprang into action. They didnt have the charger I needed in stock, but she was able to find one at a distributor. She was able to get them to overnight the shipment, and I had the charger the next day. This litterally saved my week in Syracuse and allowed me to get the things done I needed to. I really appreciate all Emilys help and her professionalism!!

2022-05-20Visit yesterday for a hearing aid check. Hearing aids cleaned .Kelly was unable to synch my hearing aid to my phone. After 15 minutes she said I could make another appt, as she had other patients waiting. She gave me the 800 number of the hearing aid company on the way out. I suggested that she could have called the number while I was there. No questions about how well the hearing aids were working.

2021-11-23The best audiologist ever. Never high pressure sales, really seem to be very oriented in providing good quality hearing aids. Very thorough testing. My husband has had two sets of hearing aids and extremely satisfied with the frequent checks and adjustments. My sister is now getting her first one from them after having a hearing aid all of her life, and she felt really comfortable with everything they did. Thanks for being a great provider!!

2022-02-03Excellent experience. Dr. Katie Duff was very thorough. She explained and instructed just what I needed. No pressure. No sales pitch. Just facts and what to expect. I was vaguely aware of the connection between hearing loss and cognitive changes. After understanding more, I was even more convinced of how important it is not to neglect any level of hearing loss.
