I HAVE BEEN GOING TO EMPIRE VISION NOW VISION WORKS FOR MANY YEARS HAVENT HAD ANY ISSUES WENT YESTERDAY TO FILL A NEW PRESCRIPTION THEY HAD AN OFFER of 50 percent off glasses and lends my totally was $469 .97 /939.94 would be the total before discount I find that rediculous I dont think I got my discount Ive never been charged that much they were the same lenes as before the price on the frames were 129.99
Absolutely the worst visionworks there is. All the employees there are rude and uncaring. My sons appointment was for 4:40. Im a single mother, I work a 40 hour a week job, and when I get home I still have to cook dinner and help my son with this homework. So when I got home from work that night I had to pick up my son and go. When we got to our 4:40 appointment 5 minutes early, they took all the other appointments right up till 5:30 before us. This is not the first time this has happened. This has happened all three times that we have been there. We are the last people out. We walk out with the employees. Absolutely the rudest people Ive ever dealt with.Mandy Lee
Had an appointment at 11 20am. Arrived at 11 am. Didnt get seen until 1240pm and when the tech that helped me with my Tele visit mentioned to the front receptionist I have been there since 11 and I needed to leave they then started talking with one another about me making very rude comments. Saying what makes her so special. Mind you while I was waiting to be seen 3 people came in agrer me and we seen before me.If they are gonna talk about thirr customers/patients they may want to do it behind a door so they cant be heard. That was very disrespectful. I was nothing but patient while I was there.
Disaster. Nice people but nothing works. showed for an appt this morning to be informed after several minutes of trying to make first this computer and then that computer work and then looking through a stack of files....that doc took the day off.... and the girls were supposed to call everyone who had appointments to cancel. Why couldnt they have had their stupid scheduling system (which had been sending me dozens of texts and emails in the last 24 hrs confirming and reminding me not to be late for my of the appoitnment) do it. Second disastrous attempt to do business with this place.
The people who work here are some of the most rude people Ive ever been forced to deal with. The have on multiple occasions set up an appointment and told me the wrong date that they wrote on a card. Now I come in and had a lady call my name as I was waiting for them and as Im sitting down shebthrusts her hands in my face. I stood up and said that I dont appreciate the attitude and she goes fine someone else will help you and walked away. Left me wait an additional 20 minutes. They also lied about having a 1yr warranty on safety glasses.
One star is almost generous for the experience Ive had over the past 2 weeks. My first appointment was 2 weeks ago for a contact exam. It was scheduled for 1 but as soon as I walked into a full waiting room with not a chair left to sit in, I knew I was in for a fun time. Eventually I was acknowledged and able to sit. An older man next to me was visibly agitated and discussing with another woman that he had been waiting to pick up his glasses for past hour+. I myself sat from 12:50 all the way to almost 2:30 before being brought back to see the tech and telehealth doctor. As many others have mentioned, this part of the appointment is the fastest and easiest. It was, aside from the telehealth doctor finding a potential problem with my eye and referring me to see an ophthalmologist but giving no further instruction. After this I was sent back to waiting area and picked out a pair of glasses so I could order those too while I was there. I waited for about 30 more minutes before a woman sat me down to order my glasses and contacts.Lol just kidding! The doctor had written my prescription down wrong so she couldnt order my contacts. It also wasnt documented anywhere that I had a problems with one of my eyes and was recommended to see another doctor. I then followed through to order my glasses and was able to go home after being there for close to 2 1/2 hours.I attempted to call back several times throughout he weeks between appointments in order to ensure my contacts were ordered and to get the referral to show my primary eye doctor and make sure it wasnt an emergency, but was never able to get through. I finally spoke to someone in customer service who attempted to contact them for me and was uunsuccessful. My second appointment was today, and although I didnt have to wait as long to be seen (about 30 minutes), it didnt go any better. After a woman went to the back to retrieve my glasses, she returned to say that she couldnt find them and proceeded to discover that my order had never been fulfilled or it had been canceled without my knowledge. I was also told when I got there that my contact issue had been fixed so I would be able to order those. I wasnt. Something in the system was wrong with my exam? So I couldnt purchase those. I left feeling defeated yet again. Around 6pm I received a call from an associate at the store who helped me to order my contacts that way and wasnt sure what the hold up was on those. I was grateful to have had someone finally resolve the problem and the whole point of my appointment, but wont be able to feel relief until I have my contacts and glasses and can walk out of this store for the last time. I completely understand technical problems arent always controllable, but I feel like a lot of the frustrations I faced could have been avoided.
I should mention, I was trained as an ophthalmic tech and try to stay away from optometrists as a result. However, there isnt a good ophthalmologist in this area I can trust and I needed new glasses as all my work is computer to reading distance.Just to get an appointment was nearly impossible. They do NOT pick up the telephone. I only got the appointment because I finally stopped in while passing to make it and was told as I watched the telephone ring without anyone in the store bothering to answer even if they were doing nothing at all.The visit guidelines changed due to the pandemic. This means waiting in a queue until your time when you stand there by the sanitization area while no one acknowledges your presence. To be fair, this was two months after the pandemic hit and I was desperate to see so would have gone through much more. However, the optometrist used an automatic refractor as the baseline of my prescription with only minor (very minor) tweaks. (I would use an auto refractor if a patient forgot glasses and a prescription wasnt in the chart, but always tightened up the prescription to the correct values because as it is taught, these are ONLY guidelines, not the final prescription.)The glasses I purchased (9 months ago) are not correct and all of my problems are near vision, exactly what I need to work. Not only is the prescription incorrect but so are the glasses themselves. They were supposed to be no line (for a computer) but the glasses ended up being bifocals, which with such a small frame, doesnt work.I have tried unsuccessfully to resolve the issue by calling the store since two weeks after I finally was able to pick them up hoping I could just get used to the prescription and bifocals. It just rings and rings. I even tried calling corporate who told me (repeatedly) they would report the issue and have someone call me back. Never happened. So, here it is, and I get it, its a pandemic, its hard but I have no glasses and am existing on readers to do half of what this prescription was supposed to do.The woman who helped me choose frames was nice (hence the extra star), as was the optometrist, even if he didnt seem to be good at manual refraction, but I didnt get what insurance paid for and all these months later, am worse off for the experience. If anyone has a magic trick for how to reach these folks now without having to drop in or can give me a referral to a better place, Id appreciate it.If you have serious eye issues or are 50 and over with medical conditions, I strongly suggest seeing an ophthalmologist instead but only if they are outside of Fulton & Montgomery county.
The wait time is outrageous. I set up an appointment in Dec, for March. Fine, understandable with covid. My appt was for 10:15. I arrived 5 minutes early, because I figured there would be covid protocols ti follow.I had to wait for 15 minutes for someone to a actually acknowledge me.Wait another 30 minutes to start the testing. That literally lasted 5 minutes. Then back to waiting to order my contacts. That was another 30 minutes. Sad, because there are 3 workers doing nothing but chatting with each other. So for a 10:15 appt, I was finally done at 11:45. For 5 minutes time with the doctor.A week later, I get the call my contacts are ready. Got them and got home to wear them and theyre the wrong script!!! Back I went. For another 35 minute wait for someone to actually wait on me. And then ask if Im sure they arent right. Really??? If you wear contacts, you know when they arent right. Thats the point of a contact lens exam. So that you get the right fit. Especially if you have astigmatism.I just paid out quite a bit of money to now hope they actually order the correct contacts with the right base curve. Plus, they would not give me a copy of the script. Not a happy customer. Especially being that this is an out of pocket cost. Insurance pays for glasses, no the contacts.
Overall a good experience, the only reason I didnt give 5 stars is I had trouble trying to get anyone to answer the phone however when I went in they where answering calls. The woman who helped me was very patient and knowledgeable. If you want to go there look at the frames on the website first because if you touch a pair of frames on the wall they have to be brought down a sterilized. You can walk in but you will have a bit of a wait for service so go online and make a appointment.
This is the worst eye store Ive ever did business with.Cant get them on the phone, have to wait 2 months for an appointment, waited 55 minutes for a simple 5 minute adjustment to my frames which never happened because I stormed out of the store frustrated and angry. Will not buy glasses there ever again. Shouldnt even have given them one star.
My daughter has had the worst experience with this place!! It has been the most frustrating experience from start to finish and now her prescription for her contacts and glasses are not correct! You cant get a hold of anyone to resolve any issues. Customer service is not a strong point for this store. Do not recommend going here at all!!
For several months they havent answered their phone I went in person to make the appointment just to pick out the frames took over an hour and there were only 2 other customers. I told them about the phone and they said they had been having trouble but while there the phone constantly rang and nobody answered it. They seem lazy and uncaring. Only one lady helped anyone. Ive been coming here for years and theyre worse every time. Going elsewhere.
The staff is great to work with, friendly and efficient, but OMG... try calling them... impossible! You CAN.NOT. to talk to a person. Its SO frustrating. Their phone system is the WORST. Corporate has to be told how bad it is. All I wanted to know weather my glasses were in and I could not get a answer on the automated call in. Aaarrrgggg. You just have to give up eventually.
Phone number doesn’t work. Emailed them off the website. 6 days later They told me to go in the store. Went into the store to simply get my glasses repaired. That was 2 months ago. Now I’m back at square one. Phone don’t work. All I want is my glasses fixed. Who has time for Shenanigans.
1. The optometrist is good. 2. The staff lacks curtesy and a sense of organization and responsibility. The staff is quick make excuses and blame everyone else especially corporate management. If you schedule an appointment online don’t count on it being at that time or at all. 9:00 really means 9:30 or sorry we don’t have you on the schedule. Then there is all the administrative caca with blunders with insurance, ordering and follow scheduling. So my 9am was really at 9:20, after computers failed, equipment stopped working, inability to process orders and payment it’s been over 90mim, 10 of which was with the optometrist. All in all, plan for 90-120 min of time wasted, and excuses.
My husband and I had eye appointments together. After seeing the eye Dr. A very patient lady helped us get fitted for our frames. We were told we should have them in a week - 10 days. Within 5 days both of our new glasses had already come. Both of our glasses fit perfectly... Couldnt be happier! Highly recommend them.
Store number #1052 Amsterdam NY 12010 , This location deserves no stars. Phones are never answered so we need to physically(COVID) go to the location and be subjected to employees with attitudes tell us we dont have an appointment. My son and I have been calling the store for info if his glasses where ready to no avail (NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE.) So again we physically (Again following COVID) go to the location only to meet up with another rude employee who again rudely says we dont have an appointment! Really Empire Vision works!! Fix your phone systems, or maybe your associates are not paid enough to care. Either way fix this!!
Earlier today I went in to get my Rayban prescription sunglasses arms remolded and the tech melted my lenses and denied doing it. She then accused me of damaging them before I went in. Once the optometrist figured out there was an issue he offered to replace the lenses and the frames since mine were obsolete, which was nice until the tech walked over to me before I left and said “I just wanted to thank you for all of the trouble you’ve caused me now.” This place is a joke and once my lenses are replaced I will never be going there again, nor will I be recommending this establishment to anyone else. I wish negative stars was an option.
This place is understaffed and extremely slow. Appointment at 11:30, didn’t see the doctor until 11:55. Saw the doctor for 5 minutes and then waited 45 minutes to pay and leave. If getting an eye exam here plan on taking 2 hours off from work because they do not do anything fast. On the plus side everyone working is very nice and friendly.
This place is terrible just not in order at all I understand we are going threw this Covid stuff but come on they need get it together. They are not the only ones who are short staffed …. I also wanna say that there online. Apts are the worst place to make them since they always seem to tell you that they don’t work for that area just not really happy with there service at all
Not the best experience i have ever had the person i had to help me get glasses than fit them was to busy looking around to see what was going on in the store. Not very professional. The receptionist was good on my frist visit. The dr was ok. Not the greatest eye visit but since i have new insurance i had to go there.
The service and professionalism of the staff at Amsterdams Empire Visionworks is exceptional!Today I worked with Teresa, she fixed my glasses and helped me find a pair in a color Ive been shopping for without success. She also worked with me to compare prices and designs of several other pairs of glasses with friendliness and patience.
Just got in the door from here and couldnt be happier with the outcome. I was in and out in under an hour - and most of that time was me pacing trying to find new frames (Im so indecisive)! Very friendly employees. Very clean office. And I was able to get an appointment within two weeks, though when I left, I heard they were booking for the end of July already with a long cancellation list!Overall, very satisfied.
Honestly some days this place is packed and you’re waiting for a good 30-40 minutes to be assisted, but their service is good and they guarantee their glasses for a year. I enjoy the flexibility of their hours, and don’t have to miss work in order to get an eye exam. The selection of glasses is good, and they accept all kinds of insurance.
I was pleasantly surprised how promptly they were able to set up an appointment for my son after he broke his glasses and just how quickly he had a new pair! Compared to another local optical where it would have been a long wait to get a new pair I was pretty pleased with the out come !
Used the web to set up appointment. I was supposed to receive form via email to complete. Never came. Appointment is for tomorrow. Tried to call yesterday and listened to the recording for 17 minutes and no one answered. Called again today, twice, for total of 35 minutes. No one answered. So do I make the 40 minute trip tomorrow or not?
Have been trying to get my frames fixed for the past two weeks. No one answers the phone. Tried to make an appointment on their site too but I called trying to make sure my appointment was confirmed and got no answer, so I went to the store and was told I could be there without an appointment. So I have no help and I am going somewhere else from now on.
My wife purchased glasses and when she wore them home and wore them, they were not fitted properly, specifically the bows were not long enough and did not extend properly behind ears as a result caused pain. Then I asked who chose frame and she says sales consultant recommended. My reply is she has no taste. Like some hillbilly picked out. Luckily they allowed return and a far more fashionable frame was picked b wife and fitted properly.
Service is horrible!! When you walk in you are asked to sit and someone will be with you in a few minutes and it ends up being an hour or better because they take people who just walk in after you if the staff know them. I have seen many customers get upset and complain about this yet nothing changes. Unfortunately one of my family members has to use their service due to insurance. I would never recommend Empire Visionworks to anyone!!
Cancelled my first appointment took 2 weeksto reschedule. We had a bad snowstorm the day before my appt was 11. Sign on window says open at 12. I wait 1 hour only to find out no doctor no appointment and no phone call. I checked my phone an hour before leaving my house no message. 2 other people said they didnt get messages. Waste of time asked fir my records snd the said they would fax them to my new provider.
Ive tried calling no answer. I just wanted to know when my appointment was since I cant log into my account. It a shame Ive been going to vision works for a while and just as soon as I start going to Amsterdam all the troubles start. Ive tried the live chat and the person I was talking to just stopped responding. Why is it so hard to get ahold of someone?
This place is a joke !!!!! Dont go there!!!! I made an appt one month ago which they take all the information after being on hold. They check their computer and make our appt according to their records. We get there fill out the paperwork and finish that. Then one of the office staff comes over sheepishly and squats down and tries to whisper oh we made a mistake and you cant be seen until Nov. We just drove 45 mins to get there. There is approx 6 people working out there and no one could figure this out before 9:30 at the appt time. They are a bunch of incompetent people. Youve got one smacking gum constantly and the others walking around like which way do I go. I was furious with this place and the worst part is its not just this one we tried Guilderland, and Albany and same thing . They are very rude ,obnoxious and last year when I tried to make an appt I was told it will be 3 months before we can get you in because we have all the kids going back to school ..Really what a lame excuse. Davis Vision really needs to take look at the providers they supply us with because Vision Works it the Pits. And as far as the stars if they had negatives in front of them they would be the lowest on the scale.
Terrible place, I made an appointment and the earliest was 2 months out, I waited for that appointment, then called the day before to confirm and they said they tried to contact me a few days ago to cancel my appointment and reschedule for another 2 months out, this place thinks they are the only eye place around, they did the same to my daughter, she made an appointment in July a d they want her wakt until November, We are done with this place.
I have been a customer of Visionworks since 2017, I went to your Scotia, NY location. The glasses are I got were sufficient, but within 18 months the frames started falling apart. Just today(08-19-2019), I called your Amsterdam, NY location which is ALOT closer to me and attempted to set up an appointment to get my eyes examined and was told they were booked until the beginning of November!! Pardon, but that is 2 1/2 months out! How do you stay in business with that kind of customer service. never again.
Absolutely awesome !!!!! So so so busy in there but they were great! Unfortunately we live in a drive thru 5 min world now where no one has any patience ... it is a process with a lot involved and I only say this because there was a guy there when I was and honestly he was being unreasonably mean and rude uneccessarily. The nice staff there were going as fast as possible
Waited on hold for 15 min to find out if my glasses had arrived. They had arrived, no phone call to indicate so. The gals in the front seem to create more chaos, there is no real flow. Instead of walking over to the waiting area and asking for a patient, they sit at their desk and shout for the patient. That seems to be adding to the chaos.Avoid if possible.
I have been going here for years because they accept my insurance. Customer service has never been good. I called today because my last eye exam was last year and i ran out of contacts. They told me it would be a month and a half for an exam. I said ok can you get me a sample pair so I can see to drive. She said no your exam was last year we cant do that. Called Williamson optacle they were so sweet got me right in and I will never have to go back to Empire.
It’s honestly crazy to me that anyone would have anything nasty to say about these great ladies! How can you not see while being here that every single person is doing the ABSOLUTE BEST they can to help soooo many people!! Open your eyes and get back to being human, patient and kind and maybe everything will get better... food for thought
Absolutely great!!! Lost a contact and broke my glasses while nearby on vacation.... almost ruined my trip ! These folks went way above and beyond to help me out. They were able to get my script , give me a trial pair and made me glasses while I waited!!! Totally saved my vacation, I can’t thank the awesome ladies at Amsterdam Visionworks enough!!!!!!!
I have called and called, even emailed, went in to see what was going since I can’t get through. Apparently their phone systems are not working, it’s not noted anywhere except their door when you walk in. Wish this info would have been available to people. They apologized and took care of me this evening, since my exam was completed months ago, hopefully things continue in the right direction, at least glasses/contacts have been ordered now.
I MADE AN APPT ONLINE AND THEN HAD TO CHANGE IT SO I DID ONLINE AND THEN I WENT INTO THE EMAIL THEY SENT ME TO COMPLETE MY INSURANCE INFO AND THE APPT TIME SAYS ITS THE ORIGINAL APPT. I HAVE CALLED THE STORE MAYBE 12 TIMES, FIRST THING IN THE MORNING (10AM) LAST THING AT NIGHT (7PM) AND ON A SUNDAY, ALL THE PHONE DOES IS RING RING RING!!!!!!! IT NEVER GETS ANSWERED. I NEED AN APPT AS PER MY MEDICAL DOCTOR IM LOOKING INTO GOING ELSEWHERE BECAUSE I KNOW WHEN I GO IN THE STORE ON THE CORRECT DATE THEY WILL TELL ME IM WRONG AND ITS STILL THE ORIGINAL DATE ALTHOUGH I HAVE EMAIL TO THE CONTRARY!!!!!!!!!
Exam was no more than 12 minutes. Felt like an assembly line. The people out front do not take into consideration, the Rx, the size of the head, how long the people have been wearing glasses. My wife was with me, and it was her first pair. 30 years of wearing glasses and it was the worst experience and the worst pair of glasses. I will not recommend and I will not return.
I had a problem with my glasses that I had just picked up the Saratoga office. The Saratoga office said it was ok to go to the Amsterdam office since I live in Amsterdam. The Amsterdam office was very rude and no help at all. The claimed they didnt sell the brand of frames I had. They said they couldnt call Saratoga and have frames sent to them. They also said they could not order frames. They didnt offer any other options. I went to the Saratoga office and they were extremely helpful and nice. I was in and out of there in 5 minutes. I will make the 45 minute drive to Saratoga in a heartbeat. I will never step foot in the Amsterdam office again. I wouldnt even give this office 1 star.
Got both of my sons glasses from here. There 2 and 6 and i am beyond impressed with the service and selection being we tried three other places for my 2 year old and no success wish i tried here first very pleased :) thank you for excellent customer service and selection
The staff are friendly... the service by people is wonderful... but there is no such thing as a walk in appointment at this location in Amsterdam,ny.... they need another doctor to handle the volume... making an appointment online or in person is nearly one and a half months out.... this is what I call needing another doctor...
Worst place ever. can get through on phone lines. trying for 3 weeks all different time no one answers. tried call the customer service number on the website. Same recording. tried the chat. Its not a real person. pre recorder answers. didnt help. want to have Spanish speaking person call me. Even that would have been better than nothing. but no one has called
Went just to pick up glasses and no one was there to fit them so instead of telling me to come back later or at least stick me in the waiting area I was made to sit in the chair for fitting and just wait for about 30 minutes for anyone to even notice me sitting to there. I still wasnt seen until I said something about waiting there for so long.
As you walk in the door, you stand in line while the solo receptionist not only signs people in but also gets all pertinent information...both times I was there, the line was at least 6 people long...after checking in and getting one of the few chairs in the waiting area...I called my 83-year old mom to tell her I was running behind...my appointment was for 11:15 and it was 11:53...as I hung up the phone, a woman called my name...she saw the phone in my hand and reprimanded me for using my phone in the office and told me it was not allowed...she used two machines to check my eyes then told me to have a seat in the waiting room and not to talk on my phone while I was there...when I saw the doctor, I mentioned to him that I had brought a DMV form to be signed...he told me to give it to the receptionist and he would fill it out when he had time...when he asked me to read a line on the screen and I told him I couldnt, he said to try it anyway...he told me that I could not hold my glasses in my hand I had to put them on a tray next to me...when he asked me if I could see 3 or 4 better and I said I could see 3 better than 4, he said just give me the number...I had to stand in line for over 30 minutes when I went in to pick up my glasses...did I mention that both times I was standing in line the phone kept ringing and ringing...remembered today that I didnt get my DMV form...called...phone rang 14 times before someone picked it up and told me that they lost my DMV form...seriously...this place needs an office manager...except for the doctor and woman testing my eyes, everyone else was very nice...
I would not recommend this place to anyone!!! Impossible to get any customer service on line or on the phone!!! Availability/ accommodation is completely lackingVery frustrating and hard to believe still in practice!!!Probably the worst experience ever to try to communicate

2022-05-12Stay away! I had a completely less than satisfactory experience. From the customer service staff to the optician staff, everyone is very unfriendly and extremely rude. They just doing it for the $$$ If I could give them a minus rating I would. I am definitely NOT EVER going to this vision works shop in the future and recommend anyone not to go either. There are much better venues in the vicinity.

2022-05-14This establishment is totally mismanaged. I went in to have my glasses adjusted. I checked in, easy enough, and was directed to sit at one of the adjustment areas. Then I waited... and waited... and waited almost 30 minutes. Did they forget about me? There were only a few people in the store when I first arrived, but the place seemed to be filling up. It was pretty clear that they needed more help. Finally one of the technicians came over. She did a fantastic job and had me on my way lickety split. I give 0 stars to this Visionworks... They got two stars because the technician was wonderful. In other news, the door to the store room in the back was open and it looked like a disaster. Not the kind of thing that customers want to see. Heads up if you have been to a different Visionworks, they dont share records. Bring your paper copies in...

2022-07-06Wouldn’t even give a 1 star. If you value your time, do not even bother. Waited weeks, confirmed my appointment to show up and be told repeatedly that I did not confirm (had receipts on my phone to prove). Manager with blonde hair was not empathetic whatsoever and couldn’t even apologize for the system not recognizing my appointment. Was told 3 different reasons why I couldn’t be seen for my appointment at random which again, made no sense. Then was told to the most I could do is sit…and wait for someone to cancel”. Which is absolute BS. Was not helped whatsoever and they did not care at all that this was their fault. Complete horrible place to do business with and was completely let down as a consumer. Posting this so that no one has to go through what I did.

2022-09-09I came to Vision Works in Amsterdam today because I had a prescription from my ophthalmologist for corrective lenses and this was one of the sites on their referral list. I did not believe it was necessary to make an appointment because I didnt need the eye exam. When I registered at around 10:10 am, i was told there would be a 45 minute wait. I didnt regard this as a problem because I needed time to select frames. At 11:55, i was still waiting. I finally went to the desk, asked for my prescription back, and left. During my extended wait, the waiting room remained full and people were still coming in. Another concern: lack of privacy for those people sitting with the optician while providing their information for the entire room to hear.

2022-05-18Update 6. They are lying to my insurance and trying to coverup their mistakes. Do yourself a favor and find a better place to go.Update 5. Worst experience ever. They still can’t get me glasses. These make me queasy. They are refusing to return or refund so I can go someplace else. I have no other option. This place sucks and the staff is terrible. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY REASON.Update 4. New guy didn’t know why I was there. Asked me what I needed. Told me he matched my “old prescription” but I didn’t get my old glasses there and they didn’t even test the old frames. I ordered a new pair of glasses, which took a while. They assumed plastic and didn’t ask what kind of lenses. I had to call back. I’ve spent over $100 in just gas trying to fix this and I still don’t have new glasses.Update three. They fired The optometrist. He was the only person I liked. I have to come back and get a new prescription and because they aren’t confident. My glasses still aren’t good.Update two. Lisa is not a good employee Terrible customer service. Actively making faces to other employees while helping me. My glasses are terrible. They make meFeel like I’m in a tunnel fish bowl. I was told to just take them home and put them on in the morning. I’ve had glasses and contacts in an astigmatism over 25 years I have never had such terrible service and terrible experience at an optometrist office. Please never go here.Update. It’s been over a month and I still don’t have my glasses. When I call their automated machine tells me there’s no order under my name and that I’ve called outside of normal business hours. Given my experience with the unwelcoming staff doesn’t surprise me.Easy process. The doctor was quick and effective. My contacts are great. The glasses process was awful. I was rushed. The person helping me was impatient. The line of customers was out the door. I didn’t have enough time to choose and am unhappy with the frames. The over selection wasn’t very good either in my opinion. I feel terrible that I wasted my frame insurance coverage here. I also brought an old pair of glasses to get them fitted to my face. They “straightened” them and now the frames are unwearable since my eyes done match up to the lenses, they make me dizzy.

2022-08-23Worst place I ever had to deal with the Amsterdam office dosent answer the phone when I went there they said their phone dont ring they told me the same thing last year I also noticed that on the reviews you folks do alot of apologizing but nothing gets done about it. I think I should go to your competitor to get eye exam and glasses

2022-02-22Arrived ten minutes before my appoints this morning for appointments for myself, my wife and my daughter. There were only two people working, and a full lobby of patients. After nearly ten minutes of waiting, I was finally acknowledged, and then informed that my daughter was to young for them to see, so they had cancelled her appointment. They claimed to have called us about that, but every single other communication from them has been either text or email. The woman then informed us that they had overbooked for the day, and had cancelled mine and my wifes appointments. The next availabilities they had to see us were not for until April. The staff was rude, abrasive and condescending, and acted as though all of these issues were our fault for not knowing about them in advance. My wife and I both took personal time off of work because this is my daughters week off of school to do these appointments. Now we still have not had the vision appointments we so badly needed, and we are each out a day of work.Save yourself the stress and just go to the city, where you will be treated like a human being by the staff.

2022-03-30I took my two sons here for eye exams and new glasses. Everyone is so friendly polite and helpful. Even my youngest son complimented the staff on how wonderful they are! We will definitely be coming back!
