Lets start with the bad: the pizza we had ordered was a little burned on some edges, as were the meatballs (just on the tippy top). By we, I mean me and my friend who happened to be pregnant. While looking at the Pizza crust, I remarked that one part of the pizza edges, kind of looked like an Orca, to which my friend said what do you mean? Like the whale? to which I said yeah. . .the whale, but its actually a big dolphin. I then proceeded to share all of my newly acquired knowledge on Orcas. They are magnificent super intelligent animals, who shouldnt be locked up in a small pools for peoples entertainment, is all Im saying. In the meanwhile, what I wasnt realizing was that my very pregnant hormonal friend was taking my new found interest to heart and was thinking subconsciously I brought this up . . . why ??? because she was now was a bit stocky? So as you can imagine things got akward and emotional real fast. Being that I am Kind-A emotionally stunted. . .I just couldnt deal. . . I didnt know what to do. So as fast as an Orca can catch a seal, I changed the topic and we began consuming the Marinara Pizza and the Capricciosa. Both were very good . . .I particularly like the thin crust. The meatballs were also super soft, and the accompanying sauce was delicious. It was a roller coaster of emotions, but luckily those meatballs leveled everything out. Will definitively be coming back again.
Utterly disappointed with how SLOW the service was. We got seated right away and received our wines and water right away and put in our order right away. Then the waiting began. It took the waitress an hour and half to come back to our table and acknowledge us. During this visit she gave us some bread and proceeded to tell us it will be another 30 to 45 minutes wait. Meanwhile they were serving to-go orders. They should definitely be more concerned with the hungry people in their restaurant then the to go orders. Also Im having a hard time finding a valid reason to wait over an hour just to bring bread to the table. If the wait time was going to be that long all they had to do was tell us from the very beginning. Needless to say, we left and I dont anticipate ever returning.
By no means a pizza place. Its more a trendy one step above bar food. I was not impressed. I ordered a couple of dishes and a pizza, which by the way is sold as personal pan pizza, based upon the waitress suggestions of best sellers. The meatballs, even though I was initially told were fresh made, were actually frozen and made days earlier. The sauce is as a 6 out of 10, very runny. The octopus, frozen, and overpowered by lemon. Truly disappointing was the cook in front of me who used the same towel to wipe his hands , the counter top and the knife he was using to slice cheese with...repeat. i doubt i will be back there is much better in the area for the money.
Excellent pizza cooked in a wood fired stove. Very professional staff as well. It is very rare to find good pizza north of White Plains but it is next to impossible to find it in Dutchess County! A great find and it wouldve gotten 5 stars if I couldve put garlic on my pizza. Imagine, no garlic in a pizza place. Its unheard of!
My husband and I decided to try Enoteca AMA last night. We were able to get a table as soon as we walked in. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully. After being seated we ordered drinks and had them within minutes. My husband decided to try the draft beer, which he said was amazing. I on the other hand opted for a diet coke. At the time our orders were placed, the waiter did inform us that our dinner would take a bit longer because the kitchen was backed up, which is understandable. Well it was definitely worth the wait. We both loved our pizzas and felt the price was very reasonable. The owners were present and helping out their staff. This restaurant is a fine addition to the Main Street family dining experience.
Pizza is good, waiter was snotty the first time I went. They’re not willing to sub anything out on the menu, like cheeses, etc. The most dissatisfying thing was that they didn’t have iced tea. How on earth can a restaurant not have any type of iced tea? Our waiter today was great, blonde, don’t know his name 😞. I would go back because my pizza was good. I will be calling first to make sure they’ve added fresh brewed iced tea to their drink list. 😉
The food is always marvelous! Sometimes there is a little wait for the food though. But truthfully, it gives you some extra time to stop and be thankful for the meal youre having even before youve even had it. Definitely a place you want to stop by for great service and food!
If this place was in NYC would close after 2 months. Pizza is average and service is awful. The manager has no idea how to run a restaurant, no idea of what hospitality means. We waited more than 50 minutes to have on our table 2 Pizza and 1 Coke, that’s all we ordered! She doesn’t even know how to apologize but she told me that I was rude to let her know that 50 minutes for an half empty restaurant it might be too long of a wait. They are lucky in Beacon there 3 restaurants, in NYC they would close after 2 months with this service to their customers. Ridiculous!
Excellent fresh pizza... Very nice ambience... Very nice waiter. Disappointed that I couldnt order a pizza the way I wanted it. Asked for chicken and meatball and onions.... They dont have any chicken or meatballs for toppings. Really? So I got an onion and zucchini veggie pizza. Nice... But not what I wanted.
This is not good pizza...tried two styles..as someone else mentioned dry cracker type crust...no blisters..no taste...no seasoning. Bland white and underbaked on bottom..overpriced garbage pizza. If you want good wood fired pizza in the area go up to florinas in wappingers. They have it down...who opens a pizza joint without perfecting a crust recipe anyaway?.. .anyone who says this is good has no palate and certainly has never eaten pizza in Italy!
Service was fastidious. Appetizer - meat/cheese/olives with grilled bread was delightful, with unexpected nuance to its flavors and generous portions. Order for two! Pizza with figs and prosciutto creamy, with sweet and salty contrast of tastes. Oven fired crust had the faint char while remaining soft inside. Dessert - strawberries and cream gelato - fresh, creamy and again, generous. Enoteca Ama will be a regular stop for us.
The ambience is perfect. A lovely spot for a quiet, intimate, enjoyable meal. The hostess, Bartenders, and servers are all very professional.I enjoyed the Beef Carrpaccio appetizer, my dining companion had an amazing mesclun salad appetizer. We both enjoyed perfectly prepared 🧱 brick oven PIZZA. My dining companion had the Quattro Fromoggio pie, I had one with ham, kalamata olives, in a red sauce. We both devoured our meals.I (we) will be back again. This also happened to be a first date...we had a wonderful time, and I have a feeling we will be back again to the scene of the crime.Cinzano!!!!
When I heard there was an Enoteca in Beacon, I immidiatly got excited. We started with a bottle of wine at the bar and then moved to a table, moving on and in to a couple pizzas and some lighter dishes.. We had the mixed vegetables, roasted tomatos etc... along with the Porchetta pizza. this is a place that I didnt expect here. I love it. My friends love it and we will probably be constant visitors. The Food 4 stars, The service 4 stars, the wine four stars, the overall experince, 5 stars.

2022-05-07Stopped by this amazing pizza spot in Beacon during a motorcycle ride. Service was super friendly and the layout of the restaurant was open and modern. The pies pictured were delicious to the point where we ordered two more just to try different items. Can’t wait to plan our next ride up and enjoy some more pies.

2021-05-18Twos things happened, I was disappointed because the first place we wanted to go to didnt have any reservations and I was famished so took a shot on this place and the second I was pleasantly surprised. However my two peeves were the menu felt limited considering it was an Italian restaurant, I figured there would be a seafood dish or a that there would be an option to add grilled chicken to my ceasar salad. The meatballs were Slightly charred on one side but they were very flavorful. My friend has the prosciutto pizza and it was for sure my favorite thing of the three things order.Dead man beer was def the choice and I am not a beer drinker.I would say stick to the pizza when you go there.

2019-10-13I loved this spot! If you’re in beacon and in the mood for a delicious pizza, this place is a must. They have a great variety of shareable appetizers, I recommend the meat and cheese plate! They also have an awesome selection of white and red pizzas. On top of the excellent food, they also had a very solid beer and wine selection, including a good variety of each.Lastly, the staff was very professional and incredibly friendly! They get a lot of visitors from the city and I felt very comfortable here. I think it deserves much better reviews overall!

2022-01-26It was nice layout of tables. The menu was small but what I ordered tasted great! The Margarita Pizza was one of the best I ever tasted. Would definitely like to visit again!

2021-12-06We ordered two pizzas and the meatball app for three people and still had a few slices to take home. The ricotta over the meatballs was so smooth and creamy, I even took the extra side of toasted bread home with the leftover sauce. The margherita and capriccioso pizzas were also delicious, and I appreciated the thin crust (also dipped in the extra sauce from the meatballs!).

2019-04-08Service was amazing, pizza tastes amazing and the menu had many options. A little disappointed in the fact that, I believe, water isnt free... I didnt ask for a glass and I wasnt offered it. On the menu it has two options for water both come in a liter. Sparkling and Non-Sparkling but I could just be assuming and maybe these were fancy Waters. We were told that the pizzas were more of a personal size and roughly at $15 each we thought maybe that was a bit pricey but not too crazy. Our pizzas were comparable to the sizes of places like Robertas and Ops, both located in Brooklyn. Those two places are roughly $24 a pie and not much larger than this place if not the same size. Also, this pizza was definitely just as enjoyable as those.

2022-05-08The food was excellent however, the service was subpar. I wish the servers were more attentive to their guests’ needs.

2018-06-27Delicious pizza! Thin and crispy just the way I like it. Its kind of loud in there so be prepared to talk over each other. I thought my pizza was bland but the chili oil they had made it better. Overpriced for what it is. Id go back if I was in beacon and someone I was with wanted to try it out.
