This location is sloppy. Zack is full of lies. He doesnt tell you how much you are paying. He just expects you to sign for a vehicle and not ask questions. Zack told me that someone from the location could pick up the car for a return during a snowstorm, but the branch manager said thats not true.My husband and I had to rent a vehicle due to a car accident. We have been back and forth with this location. We received 3 different cars. The last car was filthy and didnt seem sanitized. Of course, it was Zack that helped us.I have been given different rates for our rental over the past 2 weeks. Enterprise even charged my card $500 and never was told until I looked at my bank account online. I called and spoke with Zack. He said that he would call me back, but never did. Actually, Zack told me the day before I would be receiving a refund!!!DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!! GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!!!
Dropped off my rental and left my brand new sunglasses. Went back while the car was in their possession and the sunglasses were stolen. The car never left the lot and the sunglasses were not there. The manager then proceeded to tell me that they are not responsible without even setting up any type of investigation. One of the employees tried to step in and help after but the damage was done and the sunglasses are gone.
I’m sure there are people here that were put in a similar situation.This is not the first time I borrowed a car from this Enterprise, its usually my go-to as theyve always taken care of me... but I dont know if I can trust Enterprise after whats happened during COVID.I had an accident in December of last year, so I rented a car from Enterprise through Geico. The problem really began when everything had been paperless because of the COVID crisis that hit NY.They had told me that I would receive the contract by e-mail, but it never came. I requested one later again, but it was kind of a repeat process.The accident claim was finished and handled by Geico in January and then I noticed there was a charge for $589 dollars. First, I called Enterprise to see what the charge was about as Geico had handled all the charges that were in place, and I had been told that my insurance, Geico, had not paid 6 of the 30 days that the car had been rented. I had to make sure and called Geico to see what went wrong and they had told me that said that Enterprise had charged us for their own car insurance.I don’t know what went wrong here, but I attempted to get my credit back through the bank as it was two completely different stories floating back to me.It has been a couple of months, but the manager of the Amityville Enterprise, Gael, has promised to try and get me the refund, but it does look like that might not happen.
I don’t know if they know how to clean cars during these times, but the 2 cars I rented could have been cleaner. Finding straws between the front seats and dust on the dash board, does not leave a good impression. Also, this was a rental because my car was being repaired. They never contacted me until 3 weeks after the insurance stopped paying for the rental. I had to pay $1700+ From a $2700 daily rental bill.The location is busy but the service needs improvement on a basic communication level.
I hope that alot of people see this. This location is absolutely amazing. The management treats his people with respect, therefore, the customers get treated the same.Many times, Ive gone here to pick up and return a car and Ive heard peoples frustrations with other locations, but the employees here always de-escalate properly.Ive seen other locations give attitude back to the most rude people, but Gaelle and his employees are made of steel.I will always come back and give them my business.Thank you Enterprise Amityville.
Rented a kia Optima because of a total loss accident. The car had about 28,000 miles on it. The tires on the car were in poor shape and made a lot of noise as soon as I took it on the hwy. One tire had a slow leak which I repaired the second day I had it. It was evident that the car was not cleaned before I left the lot but other then that it ran good. The reps were nice and the prosess was quick and easy. Over all not bad.
I give it one star not because of the quality of the vehicle/employee service but rather because of how management handled a situation.There is a restock fee when you rent a car one-way. I knew that going in so I understand I signed on knowing the rule.My problem comes with being told by employees it could be waived . At the pickup location I was told by the young man going over the features of the car with me that I should call the drop off location and see what they could do about this fee and having it removed. I did just this while I was waiting for them to gas up my car so I could begin my trip. I called the drop-off location and they told me oh no problem. tell him to take it off and if theres any problem they can call meReview facts:1. Employee at pickup location told me to call drop off location and get the fee removed. Turns out thats incorrect in that it is the pickup location who is in charge of this fee.2. Drop off location had no problem with telling me have the fee removed and give a call if theres any problems with that. Turns out that is incorrect because the pickup location is in charge of the fee.So long story short in spite of the fact that two separate locations/persons gave me incorrect information and assured me the fee would be removed turns out NO it will not.My feelings on the matter is that this is similar to when an incorrect lower price rings up on an item at department/grocery store. They honor the price and then fix things in their system so it is corrected from then on.Enterprise did not do that. Enterprise did not take responsibility for the fact that employees at both locations were misinformed about company policy.That is why Im EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with the service I received. Plain and simple Enterprise management did not take any responsibility for what went on.
Horrrible Horrible experience. I rented a car for Thanksgiving and I never took the extra coverage. They charged me and the manager Zach told me over and over that he remembers me telling him that I didn’t want it. Guess what 2 months later I still have not received my refund and he keeps telling me his manager is going to contact me. Nope nothing yet.
I have rented from this location twice within the last 1 1/2 years , both times I had the car for over a month .the most recent time I got into a car accident and my insurance company asked where would I like to rent and i didnt need to think because I had a great experience here prior. I even recommended 3 people to this location because they were so helpful. today has changed my mind about this location and the company . when I rented last time I used my debit with no issue. they made my horrible day into a little better day due to the easy rental process. today I needed to rent a car for a couple of days due to my truck being in the repair shop and I was told that I needed a pay stub or utility bill which was a shock because first I was never asked that and then when I ask can you check my last rental date I used the same card it was less then a year ago they tell me they dont keep any info on file for privacy 😒😒 which seems very odd because if I was a thief or a card scammer Im pretty sure it would pop up not to rent me the car or not to take a card from me but thats company policy . I will say that I am an out of state residents because I travel which I can see it being SOME concern but again I have rented from the company less then a year ago with NONE of my information changing and who travels with a pay stub and utility bill ??? no I dont want to use a credit card I want it to come out of my account right away not owe anybody which seems to be a issue they want a credit card not a debit . there are ppl that dont use cc . last time the $250 deposit came out(put on hold) with no issue . you took what ever you needed when I returned the car and thanked me for my business which will never happen again .
Rented-A-Car, was expecting a two-door coupe for efficient gas mileage, but was given a van because this was all they had. Was told by the sales representative Paul that a coupe should be available the next day and that I would have to return to switch out my vehicle at my inconvenience regardless if I wanted or if I was able to switch vehicles because of the extra price difference that Paul would have to eat. I was supposed to receive a phone call when the 2-door coupe was available, NO PHONE CALL or FOLLOW UP. Three days past, I called 4 other Enterprise dealer ships because of the 19mpg I was getting with this van, NO COUPES were available at any. I rented the van for two weeks. A week after I returned the van I thought I was charged the difference for having a Van opposed to having a coupe.Called back to have this explained to me and got Paul, he said he remembered me and told me I have to pay the difference. He got extremely rude, he would not listen to me, interrupted me and when I was finally able to even explain the situation he put the phone down and did not listen to a thing I said. I asked for a manager and he said he was the manager after a few more words he hung up on me. I called back and the real manager picked up the phone, I expressed my extremely unpleasant conversation I had with Paul and if this was how they normally did business. Paul was NOT the manager but his manager apologized. She explained the extra charges that had nothing to do with my concerns which were normal fees that my insurance company could not cover. I was fine with that but Paul was not able to explain these fees to me in a professional manner but instead lost a life time customer to his company.If you visit Richmond Auto in Amityville or this Enterprise on 194 Sunrise Hwy, beware of PAUL, he is a young fellow with a chip on his shoulder. He will pretend he knows what he is talking about and give you horrible customer service.
I always rent cars from here and they always give me a great deal. Amanda Maass is a great manager and beautiful person. She very professional and great at her job. I never get disappointed when I go there for a rental. She takes good care of me all the time. She is the best! I would recommend anyone to go this Enterprise for a rental.
Excellent service, fast and courteous when arriving had me out of there within 10 minutes when picking up and faster when dropping off. Offered a ride to and from the body shop, or wherever i needed. No out of pocket expense insurance covered $50 per day they made it work with a compact SUV.
Horrible!!!!!!!!! It was the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life! The manager at this location was VERY RUDE and tried to find every excuse not to rent me the car... Eventually he realize he could not find any excuse not to rent me the car, Despite spending almost 45 minutes trying to find one, When I had somewhere important to be at a certain time. So he had no other choice but to rent it to me...... I pick the car up at 2pm on a weekend and was supposed to returned it back at 2pm on a Saturday. The manger never bother to tell me they close at 1pm on Saturday. I got back to the rental office at 1:45 on Saturday to find out they was close. I called the customer service number to tell them what happened and to see if i could drop it off at another location, She then told me there was nothing she can do and they would charge my card for another 2 days because the dont open back up to Monday. At this point i wanted to drive the car through the building!!!! I will NEVER rent from then again!!!
Unethical business practice. Read my comment and decide for yourself ...I booked a rental for 3 month. They gave me a great deal - $531.99 per month and told me that I needed to bring the car in once every 30 days so they could check on the oil, etc and determine if they should give me a different car. At the end of the first 30 days, I took the car in for a check -- at which point in time I was told that my new rates would be $959.99 per month because their summer season had started. It did not matter what the original deal was - because, according to them, a given rate is only good for 30 days !!I called in to Enterprise Corporate to report this - but Ive received no feedback from them so far.There are a lot of other options in the neighborhood. I recommend staying away from this particular shop.
I was traveling out of state, I was on Long Island, unfortunately I ended up in a bad car accident. Enterprise stepped up and took great care of me. The staff here are excellent. They called to make sure everything was okay the next day, this is a very well-managed business and if I lived on Long Island I would use it all the time.
Had reservations I was told no cars. Then was told well the price would be higher but when I got a smaller car they charged me the same price as my reservation the car I got came in at 11am I have reservations for 12 will never use them again I was a loyal customer not anymore
If I could leeave NO stars I would. The staff member I spoke with((Alyssa) was pleasant enough & tried to be helpful. This car rental is supposed to be through an insurance company of the mope whose vehicle PLOWED into the rear of my car! Also, Ive been kept waiting by the ins. guy for 1 1/2 months to come across with providing me a rental. What reeeally sucked about Enterprise is that when I arrived to pick up my rental I was asked for a deposit! Excuse you?! This is supposed to be a paid for rental from the insurance company of the responsible drug-addled vehicle owner & I ave to pay the deposit?! (1) its Easter weekend & I. stuck with no dam transportation now, after waiting so long? (2) Im supposed to pay a deposit on an at-faul insurance company rental?! (3) You close at 1pm on a Saturday before a major holidaya & you dont let people know that? Listen people, the sales person, as I said, Alyssa was nice & all but a major car rental agency wants the accident victim to pay up front? When a Insurance company is fronting the bill? Hope I can return the favor some day.
Ive been renting from this particular site for a couple of years now traveling all the way from Queens! I have to say that I have had some ups and downs with the staff within my experience but the current staff Alex and Corey were the best experience thus far. They were curteous, accommodatng and extremely pleasant. Everything enterprise stands for!! PLEASE do not change them. I think enterprise has the best local rates around especially the weekend specials, wish I could get them in Queens.
Ive been renting from this location since january of 2017 and ive never had a problem or bad customer service experience. Im patient and polite (unlike many other customers ive seen) and the fellas at this location have always been courteous and professional even with the intolerable patrons ive been witness to.

2022-06-09Car insurance sent me to Enterprise for my rental car while my car was being repaired. I ended up signing for basic protection assuming it was being covered by insurance and thet did not explain to me, it was not. I had the car for 1 month and the day of return, I owed them $600 dollars. I tried to fight this and they treated me very poorly and said a manager would give me a call. Nobody called and of course they charged my credit card. I would never use them again, for their lack of trust, professionalism and for being dishonest. Of course they trapped me into their basic protection, this is how they make money. Be aware of this. They are well trained to make you agree to something you would have not signed if They would have explained correctly!!!!

2022-02-14Manager Meghan- the ABSOLUTE worst. Day 1 she called the 3rd party insurance, in front of me, to obtain info and confirm they are paying for the rental. My car was on hold for damages/gas. Car was returned - even shot her an email prior to return of my experience (how dirty it is and what car locks you out of it with the car running) and flat out ignored it; mid snow storm FYI -Megan took the decision to authorize MY card for payment when MY card was for any damages or gas which obviously wasnt needed as it came back. She cant recall who she spoke with day or time - well it must be the day you ran my card ..Also - they lied they were cleaning the car for me - i got the car it was so dirty someones scarf and head wrap in the back, old Clorox wipes, this place does NOT care.2 weeeks later and im still not a priority - really sad

2022-01-27Worst place you can ever go to, cars always smelling like cigarettes, expired registration and when asked if they can switch the car they refused, last year i was there 3 times, every time it was unpleasant, people there give you an attitude and are rude, when i would call nobody would pick up the phone, or get transfer then hunged up on. Becareful with giving them your card, they’ll try to get money even months after returning rental. If ypu can avoid going to this place, please do so!

2021-11-12This enterprise is great. The cars you get are clean and they explain everything. The only reason I dont give 5 stars because the prices have gone up unless you have an insurance issue or warranty issue forget it. Youre going to pay almost $80 per day for a compact or economy car.

2021-04-07Called Amityville location first. Wanted to reserve a car for Sat. Morning to return at 3pm. I was told they close at 1pm; not possible to ret car and drop keys as there was no drop box available and they are closed Sundays. I would need to pay for 2 days! How convenient! If you have no where to return car and therefore are forced to pay for 2 days, they should not allow the car to be rented! How can you lease a car with no place to return it? This is bold fraud and devious business practice. When I was connected to upper customer service and told the rep I would be reporting this to the consumer affairs or better business bureau, surly attitude and said go ahead! Do what youve got to do.Very poor business and obnoxious employees. Been a long time good customer....never again. Tell your friends to stay away from Enterprise.

2021-04-19Successful rental but two items to address.A brief explanation on billing and usage policies for EZ pass options would have been helpful when picking up the vehicle.Driver windshield wiper was basically shredded. Didnt realize until well into trip while driving in a steady heavy rain. Not pleasant.Otherwise a very good rental experience.

2021-06-18I have to say, Ive used this Amityville location for many years but with my most recent visits, their customer service has definitely decreased. On my latest visit they wouldnt accept my debit card because it was a temporary card and it did not have my name on it, even tho i was there due to a no-fault claim they wouldnt accept it. I ended up going to a different place and they accepted my card with no problem and they even charged me less for a deposit. The staff there should improve their customer service and care more about the customer.
