As Im on my vacation, I wanted to take the time out to thank the entire AMSTERDAM staff/ location, SAM and Tyler in particular... I have been renting from this particular location for nearly 2 years now... And the customer service has been nothing less than impeccable. Looking forward to doing business with this location again soon.
What a professional group of men at the Amsterdam location! Kind, courteous and professional! I was in a rental for several months and they were sympathetic to the situation. Called on several occasions to ensure I was happy and asked if there was anything they could do. I will only rent from that office...why would I go anywhere else? Great job and be proud of your accomplishments at your location!
Well this location I will say the teller or cashier was great. They gave me a vechile that had bad brakes. When you return it, it was a hassle. And they call you every hour on the hour to return the vechile. The calls started at 8am and it didnt stop until 6pm when they really upset me and I return the vehicle. Very rude on the phone.
Friendly to your face, but deceiving with how the business was handled.Insurance company set up a rental, I took the vehicle Enterprise gave me. Due to the holiday season, rental wasnt extended immediately on New Years day, and theyre calling me, and my wife, for payment and were quite rude about it. Got that all straightened out with insurance company, and at the end, return it and get a call we owe money for NYS rental sales tax and sales tax.Turns out I was in a size larger car than insurance allotted for. Whether someone at insurance or Enterprise made a mistake, Enterprise certainly would have known what the insurance allotted for, and it wasnt a part of any conversation I had that I was up-sizing from what insurance was giving. Thats on Enterprise. In no uncertain terms it should be clearly stated what the insurance allotted for, and that youre over that. So I say thats deceptive business practice.To top it off, they immediately jump down your throat and dont deal directly with the insurance company, or at least have a conversation with you about whats happening, just a call up demanding money like a gangster. I get that communication is challenging with 4 parties involved, but in a case like this, with holidays especially and people taking time off, communications interrupted more. No need to be calling up and rudely demanding payment in that way, when the payer is an insurance company, not a private party.
Very expensive. $537.42 for a week including the discount from my insurance provider. Was pressured into buying insurance for the week. Was never told how the deposit works, which you dont get back. I would have been better off calling a cab or an Uber to go back and forth to work and would be $400 richer.
Exceeded expectations, branch and regional managers were wonderful. I was picked up at Amtrak promptly, car was in good condition, I was granted for the use of a mobile charger. I was offered and gladly accepted a ride back to Amtrak, thoroughly pleasant. They exceeded all expectations!!!
First off I want to start by saying I have no idea why this place closes at 1pm on a Saturday. I made the mistake of looking at the hours of the wrong day and showed up at 1:45 just to get turned away because they were closed. Like said yes my mistake, but it takes ten minutes to get me into a car at the most and someone is still there. Why take somebodies phone number if you can’t even call a little bit before closing to see if they are going to make it
I had a A1 experience with Enterprise in Amsterdam. They were friendly and helpful from the get-go. They also had no problem accepting coupons. Cant express enough how good of an experience I had, Steve who helped me made the whole experience easy and he also made me and my family feel valued and special. I will definitely rent again from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Amsterdam, NY.
The new location is a tremendous improvement over the previous location. The ability to have a much larger inventory is a plus.The new Manager, as well as the current staff, are all very pleasant, efficient and always willing to help meet every need.Thanks to all for making it so easy.
I called to reserve a vehicle for work, as i do once a month. When I arrived at the shop, I was told there was not a reservation. The girls at the shop told me not to worry theyll take care of me, and they did. Whether its business or pleasure Enterprise is my first choice. Thanks as always Danielle and Elisa
Especially friendly and helpful staff. Rebecca and then Jordan were exceptional managers.Always pleasant and efficient employees, especially Kirsten. Almost always have the car I prefer, Camry, Altima and Chrysler 200. Like the new facility and parking lot.New manager, Rebecca, is outstanding!
Totalled my car and had to get a rental from here. Was tricked into signing up for insurance, after it being made to look like it was a break down of the charges and ended up being charged over $1,000 for insurance. I pay that much a year for insurance. Highway robbery. Tried to call and got the run around. Was suppose to get a call from area manager to help. Received nothing. Corporate said sorry accounts closed. Never coming here again. Stay away.
Everyone at Enterprise on NY-30 in Amsterdam was professional and pleasant. I had an excellent experience renting from them for work. I have rented for business from other Enterprise locations for the past 16 years, and this was one of the best locations I have experienced. Thank you!
I was tboned and needed a rental vehicle not only did they help me but upgraded the vehicle I was in and gave me a fantastic rate. Quincy and his staff made me feel like home and were the easiest part to deal with out of the whole accident Thank you guys so much I appreciate everything you did and I highly reccomend this professional staff to anyone
I have been renting a car from Enterprise each summer for the past four years and have always received very good service. My one problem this year is that -although I returned my Nissan Elantra one day early (it was due at noon on September 17th and was returned at 3 PM on Saturday, September 16th) - I was charged for an additional day ($68) because the Enterprise office was closed at 1PM on Saturday and all day Sunday, September 18th. Unfortunately, I did not know that the Enterprise office closed so early on a Saturday.I realize it was my responsibility to find out the closing time. Customers just need to be more alert!

2022-04-06Very good customer service. The young lady and another gentleman did everything possible to make our experience easy. Admittedly, I was quite surly (not their fault) and they were professional, polite and very helpful. Their kindness and patience with me was humbling and theirs was the kind of customer service you rarely, if ever receive in any business.I will use this service again (I promise not to be grouchy) and I will highly recommend this location to anyone who asks.

2022-04-14I needed a rental from the amsterdam store and the computers were down. All of the staff there were very friendly while working theyre tails off to get myself and the many people in there going as quickly as posable.

2021-08-03Sam & Luigi are great! Very helpful. I had forgotten a brand new $105 bag of dog food in trunk and Luigi called me right away. Sam made getting the car a great experience. Great team at this location!

2019-06-25They made wrecking my car a little less chaotic! They worked easily with my insurance to provide me two separate rentals a week apart after I had to return my fixed car back to the shop to actually complete repairs. They made sure I could get a car in a timely manner and were incredibly friendly. The cars were modern and clean and pick ups/drop offs were super easy. Highly recommend.

2020-02-18I was in a terrible accident on I-90 last Friday and was stressed about filing a claim and the whole accident process. Luckily the talented folks at Enterprise-Rent-a-Car in Amsterdam made me forget about all that and picked me up at the body shop and were kind and courteous. The person who helped me get into the rental was Luigi and he walked me through the process step by step and took care of me and showed me options for vehicles I felt safe in. The Branch manager I believe Danielle reached out to me first and told me they would take care of me start to finish. They were a couple other hard workers in the branch Cherry and Melissa I would like to thank as well. I have never had a bad experience with Enterprise and thanks for earning a customer for life!

2021-03-22Very good, luigi was great and met me at the bodyshop do a thorough walk-around and explained the features of the car that were needed. Pleasant to deal with. Would rent from again.
