Staff was friendly and experience was smooth but what happened after left a bad taste. Place is shady. They contacted me after my rental because they knew I would be asked to review them. There was a minor issue on returning the car but it was resolved, nbd but not worthy of a great review. They offered to make it better so they would get a good review and promised a partial refund to make sure I had a 5-star experience but never actually gave me the credit. Guy was real pushy on the phone. Gave over a week to see the credit and followed up with them but, SURPRISE! no one had any knowledge of this. Reeks of shady business tactics. Stay Away
Rented a car from W 24 Street location in Manhattan, and Chris, who helped me out, was awesome. Covered all the information clearly and simply for me, so I really understood what insurance I needed, for example, and what I didn’t. Enterprise is one of the only companies I’ve used that seems truly invested in my best interests. I highly recommend Enterprise and this location in particular.
The employees here were very kind but the service was lacking. Our car interior was extremely dirty and had not been cleaned at all - we found garbage, crumbs, dirty fingerprints and wrappers from the previous renters. We had to wipe everything down and clean it out ourselves. Then we realized a couple of days into our rental time that the registration sticker on the license plate was expired - thankfully we didnt get pulled over and get a ticket.
Ive rented cars at the Chelsea location on several occasions. I keep coming back because of the efficiency and customer service. The staff is professional, helpful and friendly. They are always very busy, but take the time to politely and pleasantly address each customer and their rental needs. Well done Chelsea Enterprise staff.
Love these guys. So professional, clear and positive. I have never had a misunderstanding or issue with the reps which says a lot as Ive gravitated to Enterprise due to poor attitudes and negativity at competitors. One suggestion for Enterprise though, interior surfaces could be wiped down better before handing off vehicle. Other than that, great!
I recently did a 2-day rental for a weekend trip. The staff was terrific---helpful and friendly. They also gave me a free upgrade, which was much appreciated. (My only suggestion would be if they could speed up the process at the counter so the line could move along a bit more quickly. At the airport, you can get in and go---closer to that.)I will definitely be renting from this location again.
Gilbert and his staff are the best Enterprise team I have ever worked with. This location offers incredible customer service, a fantastic selection of vehicles and all staff members are truly professional.I rent cars all the time and only rent from this location because I love the staff so much!
Excellent service. Professional and very helpful. I always rent from Enterprise, as they have always provided quality service and quality vehicles. Wasnt charged extras. I was charged what they originally quoted. They even went out of their way for us and stayed a little later than normal business hours. Thanks, Enterprise.
Amazing customer service. These guys are so friendly and happy, it actually makes the entire car rental experience FUN. They are also quick and efficient when you pick up and drop off. Ive rented from here a few times and have had a fantastic experience each time. Thank you!
Car was upgraded at no cost, well maybe its the only one available. Returning the car after office hours is a bit tricky as you have to bring it on the opposite side of the building and street. Waited for the whole week for the refund of the 250usd deposit. You have to call them to remind them but I was told on day 1 that it would be returned within 24 hours. Over all its good.
I have been renting from Enterprise for over ten years. In particular, I have rented from the Chelsea location on 24th Street in NYC for the last seven years. The service has been and continues to be outstanding. The managers and staff have always been helpful, courteous and go out of their way to be of assistance. I was upgraded to a small SUV with 1,000 miles on it at no charge. uot the store in minutes, in after 3 days, again been processed in minutes.overall great experience and a shining star in an industry with fading good service
Wonderful people and very professional. They really care about their cutomers no matter whether they are new to the location or loyal ones; which makes the way they handle their business one of the best Ive seen so far. One of the managers in that location (Peter) with whom I had a chance to deal with was surprisingly very professional and very helpful which was most appreciated.I definitely recommend that location, just express yourself and be patient to tell exactly what you are looking for and what is your need.
One of the worst rental car experiences of my life.Pros: Nice people who genuinely want to help you.Cons: Severely antiquated systems created a situation where it took literally two hours to pick up my car. Even though my profile online is completely filled out, the agent had to manually re-entry every piece of personal information. And then, the car I had reserved was not available at that location, so they had to drive me from Chelsea to the Upper East Side to pick up the car.The express rental pickup process has been implemented at every airport for 10 years, it is unconscionable that those systems are not in place in the local branches, ESPECIALLY in such a high volume area as New York City. There is no reason whatsoever that enterprise cant have reservations pre-printed and ready to go here as they do in the airport.I received a confirmation call as bout my reservation 2 or so hours before my pickup time. This means that they already had my information. At that time, they should have informed me that my car was not at the correct location and given me the option to go directly to the correct place.The institutional disorganization and inefficiency was truly astounding and if i can possibly avoid it, I will never rent from a local enterprise office again until these procedures are completely revamped.
Returning car later in evening was a hassle.I mistakenly left a bright yellow car charger in the ashtray connection.A result of the return location was very dimly lighted.A call to me would have been preferred.I will give pickup location and staff very helpful.Return not good.
Just returned from a grand adventure in and out of the city. The driving part was made especially wonderful because of Dan, The Enterprise Man, Pete and Gilbert. The car was perfect but their attention to customer satisfaction was beyond the pale. For a small town girl to drive in the big city was a big leap of faith and they made it very easy. Their top concern was our happiness with their service and product from pick up to return.
I live in Chelsea and use this Enterprise location close to 15-20 times within every quarter. The entire team is extreamly friendly and professional. They do a perfect job running this location. Amazing customer service. 🙌Thank you all very much for making work travel so seemless. Keep it up!!!!
Best ever rentals for me. I have some handicaps, and they always take the time to help me find a vehicle that works for me. The staff is comprised of friendly, professional and efficient people, whether manning the front desk or servicing the cars. I live in Manhattan, where renting a car is not an easy activity. This local Enterprise makes it as seamless as possible.
Rather impressed with the overall experience using Enterprise. This location was fast, efficient, and hassle-free. Thats pretty much what you would expect in pickup and drop off of a car rental, given a quick alternative of Uber or Lyft if the rental company is less than excellent.
The Enterprise office staff was great. However, we rented a mini-van for 7 passengers, and there were only 6 seat belts. The back seat was bench type with only 2 seat belts for 3 passengers. Without even a seat in front of the middle passenger seat, this was quite a dangerous situation, as it was a straight shot to the windshield.
I rented a car for spring break for my daughter and we got the Chevy Tahoe for a trip to Vermont. It was fantastic and of course the service was top notch as usual. Wouldnt rent anywhere else. Returning the car was a bit frenetic so I hope they can improve on that soon.
I received the most outstanding customer experience with Sharon Nefedov from the Enterprise location @ 106 W 24th Street.It started when my car broke down just before my Passover holiday, that I was planning to spend in Massachusetts. I now desperately needed a large car. So I immediately tried reserving a minivan/large 7 seater SUV. however Every location in Brooklyn & Manhattan was sold out. Somehow I was able to secure a booking with the above Enterprise location. Within 1-hour of booking, Sharon called to advise me that they were sold out of Minivans & Large SUV’s. but she would try her best, to give me the biggest they have. The following morning I called her, and she told me that she had 2 standard SUVs. I chose one which (I thought is the best alternative I can get) and Sharon set it aside for me. She asked me to call her when I arrive in Manhattan. Which I did. When at the location, she surprised me with not only having a minivan, but a really new one with only 4000+ miles on it, with loads of modern features (like: adaptive cruise control, lane departure assist, Auto high beams, etc.) and from the best ofthe car brands “Toyota” my favourite. She went above and beyond, and its because of people like her I choose enterprise first for all my needs.
I had initially given them 5 Stars, as I thought i had a great experience, turns out they did not close out my rental. So i was charged double and to top it off got charged for a parking ticket. Multiple phone calls is no fun to unwind the mistakes here.. Now the parking ticket is $75 and the city of NYC is threatening to garnish my wages.. I called the manager Gilbert twice last week and he promised to call me back. Just totally inept.
The guys who helped me were polite down to earth and very cool about the whole thing. They dealt with me quickly and let me decide which car to take regardless if it was convenient to them. My only problem is with the company as a whole the rates were fair for a 6 day rental but the price of the ez pass and all of the insurance options were ridiculous. You feel youve gotten a good deal until you have to pay for every toll which is fine but then it costs 4 bucks a day which isnt how EZ Pass works. Furthermore you think you are happy with the price and then you see the cost Per day that the insurance costs and its in a confusing set up ranging from if the car gets damaged by you which is the only affordable one to ambulance rides to road side assistance and then finally insurance that doesnt cover basic liability but if someone else hits the rental ( which can happen to anyone.. ) for an incredible 16$ a day! Thats just nuts and good luck feeling safe driving without these overpriced add ons.
The staff at this location are courteous and efficient. They concisely review the details of your rental arrangement, and are knowledgeable about driving conditions in the area, including the various toll situations.One drawback that this location probably has in common with other Manhattan car rental outlets is the detailing of the vehicles. The windows are sometimes not really clean on the outside, with water spots; the side mirrors often have water spots; the inside has residue buildup. These details are usually just unsightly, but in some conditions, when the sunlight is at certain angles, they can obscure your vision, and that can be a problem.Otherwise, the service and the location cant be beat.
I ordered a car with Sirius radio for a 4 day trip. I left the garage but couldnt figure out how to turn on the Sirius. I called the garage before leaving NYC, and asked whether I had it. He assured me that I did and began explaining how to turn it on. I took him at his word, left the City, and still couldnt get it. I called. The attendant confirmed no Sirius. He said bring it back with half a tank of gas (I had taken it out with a full tank). I had not been asked about a fuel option when I took the car out. When I returned the car, the person who checked me in gave me a half-tank credit should I decide to rent again with Enterprise.
I would have given this location five stars based on the excellent service provided by the Enterprise employees. However, I like to pee before taking a long trip and was informed by a team member that they had no restroom. I was told that employees use a Starbucks restroom across the street when the need arose.
The Enterprise Rent-A-Car location in Chelsea, NY was one of the best experiences Ive had renting a car. Not only was everyone gracious, but they took the time to help and make sure you were in the car that suited your needs and price point. Gilbert Gaona and Shavar Evans are two top managers--they have a customer for life with me, my family and my company.
All other stores in manhattan direct you to this branch. It’s the only one open. Get here at 10:05 pm last night and it’s closed. The guy wont take my car. Get here 25 min after it opens the next morning after paying a fee to park overnight in nyc.. still the employees wont take my car. GO ELSEWHERE
STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION. I called them to verify if I left something under the passenger seat right after I dropped a car. They were of no help. Terrible people especially the supervisor. He is incompetent, unprofessional, irresponsible and arrogant. Stay away from them.
The staff was extremely welcoming and upbeat but when it came to give me the support that I needed it fell short of providing a great service. The lady showing me how to open the trunk, hood and gas missed closing the hood. It was a bit scary when I figured out the open hood on the highway. I turned down filling up the gas tank because in most places where we rent it is not necessary, a great selling point to the staff is to tell customers that gas stations in nyc are by the east or west river and hard to get to during traffic. When trying to be sold the EZ pass I asked if it worked in MA and she could not answer the question. I think if youre selling this service you should be on top of where the EZ pass works and where it doesnt. Would have been great to use in Boston if it actually works there. Heres a few suggestions to make the next customers visit even better than mine.ThanksLJ
Very nice people there but then I was under age. My age was on the reservation. They didnt want to give me one from there, instead required me to wait until they get one from a different location. NYC rush hours would took over my one day reservation. Was a bad experience.
Charged every fee in the book. Fees are exorbitant. Charged extra day because the site wasnt open on Sunday. The weekends are a prime travel time, makes no sense that they would not be open. Will not use again. Over 200 dollars a day in the end after fees for an economy car.

2022-06-07We tried two différent credit card from two different countries (France and Canada) and both were declined without knowing the reason. And you cannot try again with the same card to rent the car.What kind of brilliant system is this ?Thats a shame...

2021-08-07I picked up today the car and as always, excellent customer service. Zack was absolutely amazing - I got the car in 3 min and then he spent 15 min explaining to me how the many buttons of the car work (I only drive a few times per year). Before and after I rented the car I called them a few times - they were so nice. I have other companies much closer to my house but I chose Enterprise just because they are so nice and make renting a car nice and simple.

2021-03-18This Enterprise location offers the care and attention of a small town family business. It is the best place to rent a car. Every person on their team is helpful, kind and friendly. They follow up by email, they answer my calls and make sure I have a clean and well serviced car. Miranda always goes above and beyond to make my experience smooth and easy. This is my third visit to Enterprise Chelsea and we continue to be impressed by Jessica and the team there--by far our best experience with a car rental agency in the city, and weve experienced many. Jessica in particular is highly professional, efficient and well informed. No doubt well continue to use Enterprise at this Chelsea location. Shes one of the main reason why.

2020-05-18My 5th year wedding anniversary was coming up and I wanted to be with my husband (hes in a different state), and I was looking for a place that rent without such a high deposit and I found Enterprise on W 24 St NYC. From my 1st phone call to when I picked up the rental, the customer service that I received from all the employees, was a such a delight. 2021-03-17Enterprise Park Slope location was always my go to but their daily rate went up since March so I ended up choosing the one in Chelsea.Overall, their Chelsea location is decent. Nice staff, decent car but the compact car I got from this location didn’t come with Apple CarPlay as the compact cars I always got from another location and I was told to get cars with Apple CarPlay I would have to pay extra $20 to upgrade to a better car... 🙄🙄 So be prepared if you are planning to rent a car from this location...

Gilbert, one of the managers, is particularly helpful, but weve had great experiences with all the staff weve encountered whenever we rent cars here. They are welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable. They are even great with our kids. Weve always been very happy with the quality of the cars.

2016-10-01This review is for the Chelsea station Enterprise. This is a small operation and these guys (and sometimes gals) are super!! Always nice, always ready to please. The cars are clean, the team is thorough and they make every effort to be as efficient as possible. If I can make one critique, its that sometimes, some of the newer staff members can be a little too familiar. Having reached a certain age, I appreciate the formality of being called Mrs. When they call to confirm my reservation, it adds to their professionalism if they would ask to speak with Mr or Ms. Smith....Not John or Jane. Other than that, topnotch!
