I had an excellent experience at Enterprise. The gentleman who helped me was Troy Hackett. Very professional and through in explaining the gadgets of the car. He went over and beyond to start the vehicle and cleared off the snow. He gave me his business card and just was a thoroughly nice sales person. I reserved a car through Expedia, when I arrive at the location the first thing after greeting me was, what are you doing here?, what brought you to this side ?. I couldnt help but stand and look at him, I was too astonished to respond. After a few seconds I responded with Im here to pick up a reservation. Hr then ask me my name, after I told him my name, he then proceed to ask me what is the purpose of me renting the car today?. I told him because I need to use it, then get begins to coat me for things that I already paid for. Smh
First thing they forgot to turn on the satellite radio and if I hadnt had to stop so my daughter could be added to the drivers list and I hadnt asked about it I wouldnt have had it ..now for the car it needed service as it kept reminding me it also could have used a wheel alignment as it developed a shake over sixty mph. The insulation around the front window was pulled out. I have rented from enterprise a number of times before and had always been able to give high marks not this time I was extremely disappointed
Dealt with Troy and Miguel renting a full size, 4 door Dodge Ram pickup. Couldnt have been easier. Polite, respectful guys who are quick to act, and act professionally are rare these days. Truck was full of gas, freshly washed, vacuumed, and clean.Very positive experience. Good job, guys!
Staff are great and I had no real issues with the rental. However, the car was dirty inside, not a huge deal in the scheme of things, but usually theyre clean. The biggest issue for me was the price - $60 for a days rental of a Hyundai Accent is crazy to me. I realize they have a monopoly in Plattsburgh, but still...Burlington, VT branch is the usual ~$35 a day for the same thing.

Everything was quick and easy. I reserved the vehicle on line and the day I picked up the vehicle I was in and out in about 15 minutes and thats with going over the vcehicle with the agent before taking the car for the day. The agent was very professional as he was the only there at the time as more people came.in. I will definitely rent from Enterprise again.Sincerely yoursCharles
My first two rentals had mechanical issues, so I returned them. I was asked if I wanted to go to Jiffy Lube with the second rental car, and wait while they fixed the problem. I said no and I was given my third rental. A week later I rented a car and the trunk was full of mud and leaves. The manager was aware of the issues and rather than making sure the vehicles were well maintenanced and clean he bad mouthed me to his employees (one of the female employees was nice enough to repeat what the manager said in front of other customers).

Just want to say it was a very positive experience. I was very pleased with the service provided especially being picked up at the train station. Very professional and was in and out no hassles with the rental car. I just had wished that they were open on Sundays at least until noon. That being said my train back was on a Sunday, but it was ok. I give 4 and three quarter stars!
I have rented from this location several times and have always found the staff to be professional, curteous and timely. They have anyways been great about picking me up or dropping me off before and after my rental. The cars are always clean and they always try to accommodate my needs.
These folks have helped us out many times over the years. We have always received friendly, courteous & prompt service. This was especially appreciated during the time when we had to deal with a family emergency in the Binghamton area. Everybody on the staff always did everything they could to accommodate us with the least hassle possible. Love enterprise. The people who work there are extremely friendly and are nice to deal with, although the car I drove did not have any heat the one day it was actually cold out for a summer day. Hopefully they got it fixed or sent it back to Florida where they dont need the heat on
The employees were helpful and it was nice to be upgraded to a Grand Caravan. Only thing my husband didnt realize was that the insurance was not for roadside assistance. He just initialed things without reading everything so we ended up having a flat tire which is when we found this information out. Fortunately I have AAA so it wasnt too bad except the loss of time.
Horrible experience!! Could never get anyone on the phone, regardless of the time We called. The day we went to pick up our car, the only thing we found behind the counter was a note from another unhappy and unsatisfied customer that read, I hope you get fired. The Enterprise employee was nowhere to be found! Others in the Plattsburgh airport advised this was common with this car rental. We had to end up spending $150 more at another vendor since we had a scheduled tour at my daughters school the next day and we needed the car asap!! Poor customer service on behalf of Enterprise as well, we are still waiting on a call back from a manager!If I could actually give this car rental a negative (-10) rating, I would!!!
I rented a car for a month through my insurance company since my car was totaled in an accident and I needed to buy a new one. Everything went great when I rented the car, though the representative that did the walk around was rushed and the car was soaking wet when I looked at it. The cars interior was dirty, including the front window, and the car seats were very stained.When I returned the car the manager said that a clip was broken on the front drivers side fender, which was caused by undue pressure on the front of the car, and that he would have to report it since it was not reported on the walk around. There was no scratch, dent, or marks at all on the front of the car or the fender where he said the clip was broken. He said he would have to report it because it would have to be repaired.I feel this was an attempt to get money from my insurance company. I have rented from Enterprise in the past and experienced no problems, so this might just be representative of the Plattsburgh, NY office.This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth for the local office in Plattsburgh, and I hope my insurance company refuses to pay.
Excellent service, i had to make a last minute reservation on a very busy weekend in plattsburg NY. the employees at enterprise were so accomedating, a quaility that is very hard to find now days.i have never had less than excellent service with enterprise and would never think of using anyone else.
I rented a car when my RV broke down, it happened to be a BMW as their inventory was short and I did not have a previous reservation. I unfortunately locked my keys in the trunk the next morning. My call to AAA for road service indicated that they could not open a BMW, but it had to be done electronically with a satellite signal. Unfortunately Enterprise does not have an agreement with BMW to electronically open their rental cars. The Plattsburg Enterprise office tried their best to pursuade BMW to open the car for me, but BMW would not cooperate! I was told the only solution was to tow the car several hundred miles to a BMW dealer in another state and I would be responsible for the tow charges! Finally the tow truck driver saw the car and was able to unlock it the traditional way. I lost several hours of time and experienced anxiety but am disappointed that BMW was uncooperative and that Enterprise did not have an agreement to unlock those cars in such circumstances. I also am disappointed that my AAA service did not realize they could have opened the car, and finally I was surprised that Enterprise charged me a road service fee after all I had been through. The customer should be first but I felt I was captive to an oversight on the part of Enterprise when they bought the BMW products.
I have rented several times from Enterprise in Plattsburgh, N.Y. and have had nothing butsupreme service. The staff are knowledgeable, sympathetic, professional, and truly takeevery step to make renting a car simple, economic, and pleasurable.I recently had to rent a car that was handled by another persons insurance and the peopleat Enterprise took care of everything including giving me updates, calling me to make sureI was taken care of, and just being there professionally and supportively.I would highly recommend Enterprise in Plattsburgh, N.Y to anyone. Five stars!!
Unfortunately we rent from this place for work. Its the worst Enterprise we have ever had the opportunity of working with. I am happy with others outside of Plattsburgh. This location should be ashamed. My recent rental is full of chips under the seat, a sticky steering wheel and cigarette smoke (to name few things). Aweful everytime. And being executive elite member doesnt mean much to them either. I think they need to clean up.
I had a hard time with Enterprise in Plattsburg, N Y The car had no gas, the tire pressure was low on all the tires. It took an hour to get the car and their computors keep going down and they would have to start over again, it was a mess. I returned that car in Raritan NJ and had a wonderful guy Ray Rasa helping me get another car. It took 10 minutes and I was on my way.
I usually love enterprise and rent from them a lot, however on my recent rental...I had to wait 20 minutes for them to clean the snow off the car and get it ready, then when I got in it wreaked of smoke...then had to wait another 20 minutes for them to clean another car.
John you are the man! Our train was held up 3 hours by a freight train breakdown. I called from the train and John assured me he would take care of us. We arrived 30 minutes after they closed and he had someone there (sorry cant remember his name, but he as great also) waiting to pick us up at the station.They both stayed and got us on our way, closing up an hour after their scheduled time, keeping us from being stranded and allowing us to reach our destination that night.This was my first rental from Enterprise, but it wont be my last!Bob
This was one of the worse experiences Ive ever dealt with, super rude, I will not and do not recommend going here for your rental what so ever. I had gotten a car through my insurance and they covered most of it but I had asked multiple times if I had to may any out of pocket and was told no not until after 30 days, well 30 days came by quick and they had called saying I had a bill or 371+ dollars, mind you I asked if I had daily charges before I took it off the lot, and was told no. Anyways it got paid for but had to pay 402$ and I asked if I could exstend the rental car my car wasnt ready and I have two babies ,I get told no that the car is flagged and is now in risk management and if its not returned by 730am its going to be considered stolen... now this is because I myself the drive didnt pay it my boyfriends grandmother had paid for it and was paid back in cash, and this is how I get treated... real life story !
Weekend special is great, but pay attention! two weekends in a row despite online booking, they tried to bill me regu;lar rates. i came in on a saturday and was told weekend special is only good if you pick up on friday. i had to pull out my phone and show the online reservation.
It was huriable I went to pick up my rental car from Plattsburgh Air port and not an agent in site...mo one came yo assist me at all, while I standing in the airport I even try calling the ph number it was busy, to say the lease I end up renting my car from Avis and I was not disappointed...Yhank you Enterprise Avis has a customer for life.
It sucked the world makes you go digital and they dont want it you might as well stay away from there theyre nothing but a bunch of morons now my brother gets to walk the 300 miles home thanks Enterprise did wonders for me, really youll fix it are you kidding me the only way to fix my problem is to get out of my town and I posted it on Facebook how poor the quality is
Horrible service have been an Enterprise client for yearsbut the Manager at this location should be ashamed of himself for charging us US$200 for one way car rental on the 16th of April ..He was very impatient told us he had a wedding attend ...Will never deal with this branch

2022-03-16My car was taken in the Au Sable Forks flash flood. I called state farm for a rental car since we were there on vacation and had no way of getting home.They had a car for me that day within 3 hours of everything happening and the insurance company calling them. They were quick and efficient. Very compassionate about our situation. They even let my dog come into the store to warm up after everything that happened.After I returned the car in my hometown, the person at this enterprise contacted me to make sure everything was good. I truly appreciated the care and time they put into my situation.

2022-03-06They have very attentive employees, more than satisfactory customer service, however they open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm and on Sat 9a-12p closed Sundays, so if you were to return a car after hours or on the short day, or the closed day you will still be responsible for it until the next business day, eventhough its in their lot and that is their schedule return date. Overall good service.

2022-02-10Im here sharing my honest experience & opinion; all matters are being dealt with between the dealership & Enterprise itself.My own vehicle was being worked on at a dealership, they had no rentals so I was offered to go through Enterprise. I was quoted for a sedan rental free of charge. I live in Upstate NY, where there is snow everywhere.I did not choose the car(2021 dodge charger sxt), Enterprise choose for me. I was under the impression the dealership choose for me.-The dealership told me that Enterprise told the dealership, that I choose the Dodge Charger. When I did not.-I asked if it had snow tires, they told me it had Tier two all seasons. I ended up not being able to head into work during a heavy snowfall, unable to leave my little town with hills. Unfortunately I had been let go for not showing up to work. Not really anyones fault except my own I suppose. Upon the day I needed to return the Dodge Charger, the dealership had told me they would look into extending the existing Rental. I called Enterprise to get a hold of the dealership and they told me that I can hold onto the rental for the day. Charged me $95 out of my account, due to them not contacting ellis.Also ended up charging the dealership for extra days without my notice, after I had returned the rental via Tow, I was not driving that through snow anymore.Other then that, service was always ready to respond to my calls, roadside assistance was great help, car was clean and working perfectly fine. Just not rated for winter. Im probably not going to repeat any services with this company again. If Enterprise has any insight on the charges or sees something incorrect in my review, I will gladly update this.

2022-06-27Worst experience I ever had. Im still waiting 2 weeks later for an urgent emergency call for a car that was canceled without my knowledge or any notice and so i was left stranded at the airport the day of my travel with no help from either of the locations and it was 10am on a Tuesday. I was lucky to get an employee at budget to help me finally get my needs met! Do not recommend this place ever!! Rude unhelpful employees who could careless if you are stuck!

2021-11-29I wish that I could give this place zero stars with the way that they treated my mother this morning. She needed a rental car because someone hit her car and they rudely told her that she needs to deal with it herself. They were completely unprofessional. The man was forcing her to take a car that was too small and when she asked to talk to someone else, they ignored her for 15 minutes. They gave her a wrong number. She was there for over 4 hours!! The staff ignored her and she sat outside. Staff needs to learn professionalism, customer service and human decency.

2017-01-31I rent every few weeks from Enterprise, sometimes a daily full price rental with a distant drop off, sometimes a bargain weekend rental, $9.99 a day, $22 for the wknd. The last few times I was offered a nice upgrade as the cheap car I reserved wasnt available, you cant beat a rugged Jeep or a sporty Mustang! This past wknd I reserved the usual econo-box, and there it was, a Nissan Versa... Whadapieceofcrap! But thats what I reserved, and thats what I got! At least it got 33mpg. But it was a worn out POS. The transmission whined around town, the inside windshield was streaked with cleaner that hasnt been cleaned off and was quite distracting, but worst was it pulled hard to the right! I stopped a mile away and checked the tire pressure and noticed the RF tire was BALD! Yup, here I am renting a car in January on the Vermont Canada border on the edge of the Adirondacks, and this Versa has BALD summer tires! I inflated the RF tire to 48lbs, 44 is the maximum, + 10% for the tire being warm, and I put 44 In the almost as bald LF tire to try and get rid of the cars propensity to head towards the ditch. It worked, and the pulling was gone, but we encountered icy rain in The Berkshires of Western Mass. We even had trouble acending the grade at the BNB where we were staying and driving around the mountain roads was tricky as, guess what? Its WINTER! I mentioned this to the staff upon our return, and they were sympathetic. As I had driven 250 miles over the the 300 mile wknd allowance, (3 days-300 miles included), the office manager asked what I thought was a fair comprimise, and I suggested they drop the over-mileage charge, which at .20 a mile was $50, more than the rental! It was a fair outcome, but I had just had the same issues with a Hyundai I rented from Hertz in Baton Rouge Louisiana to drive 1600 miles to New York, and the regional manager looked at the pictures of the bald tires and emailed back that they were ACCEPTABLE(!), and even though he offered a 20% credit because of the tires, dirty windows, less than full fuel tank (they charge $9.99 p gallon if returned less than full!) and quirky steering, my credit card showed an $11 overcharge! I wrote back to Hertz asking the regionals superior, and never heard back. Thats why Im happy to rent from Enterprise, and I hope they better review their fleet before they send them out!
