Enterprise has done a fantastic job for me throughout this shut down. I am an essential worker in the transport industry and if it werent for Enterprise I would not have been able to do my job. The cars were extremely clean. I never had to wait. All in all a truely excellent job at each of the 25 or so branches I used over the last 3 months.
For the record I would like to be very clear that Taylor who is usually at the Victor location worked at this East Rochester location helped me and deserves a five star rating just on his professionalism and attentiveness to my concerns, alone, although this isn’t about him. I was lucky he was there to fix the mess the manager created.I made a reservation and did not get what I reserved until 3 days later and what I did get was a truck that clearly smelled like smoke and I even pointed out the ashes all over the carpet and seat. The manager wiped it out the best he could although I still smelled smoke and didn’t want to be held responsible when I returned it. I stayed at enterprise until 2hrs after it closed picking up a rental I reserved 2days prior. I missed my trip and had to come back and speak to Taylor the next day and he totally agreed that I wasn’t handled properly. He acknowledged that I am a Long standing customer and I have spent a substantial amount of money at that location over the past 2 and a half months. They kept me in a rewrite 2 days longer than I was renting it for while they looked for what I reserved. which cost me an additional $150. Finally after calling corporate the manager of the branch called me and gave me the rental with the ashes in it 7pm that evening after they were closed. I then had to take another day to return it because of the cigarette smell and ashes, luckily Taylor was more understanding and willing to help. I still ended up with the ashtray rental although he noted it was rented smelling like smoke and he gave me they best he was able to do a 10% discount. I just paid $2500 in rentals since July renting from the same location and I feel I should’ve been compensated for the three days I was inconvenienced. Taylor did his best to clean up someone elses mess.My question is WHAT IS ENTERPRISE GOING TO DO FOR MY INCONVENIENCE AND DERAILING MY TRAVEL PLANS?
If I could rate this particular location to a 0 star I would. They fail to accommodate to very easy issues with very valued customers. I’ve spent thousands this year with enterprise and I will no longer be using them for my buissness.P.s. the plants in the lobby will not up your customer service score as you are worried about. Treating valued customers correctly will.
Andrew is awesome and deserves a raise. He was very friendly and helpful with me during my check-in and return process. I wasnt super crazy about the van I rented (I just find the Dodge Caravans to be cheaply made and not terribly user friendly), but have no complaints about the cleanliness or availability of the vehicle. Back to Andrew though. During my return process, he asked if I had a ride home. I told him I was just going to order an Uber and he insisted that I let him drive me home and save my money. Excellent customer service at this office! I will continue to rent from here in the future because of this.
This location offers the best customer service Ive ever experienced. I continue to use this location even though its a bit more of a drive for me now simply because of the employees here. They greet me by name, they have my reservation ready, and they make the rental process quick and pleasant. Theyve gone above an beyond on more than one occasion and always have great, clean cars available. Ive referred my family and friends to this location and they have had the same experience. I will definitely continue to use this location and refer anyone in need of a rental to them. Definitely 5 stars.
I have rented many cars and vans from Enterprise, never really had any issues. My latest trip however, has me thinking that Enterprise may not be a reliable place to rent vehicles from now.4 PM, i picked up my rental and the folks at the rental location were great. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. I rented a pickup truck to move a motorcycle, opted for the full 40$ Salvo of insurances as well.My first small issue i found is, I was told to bring the truck back with the tank full (as per usual), but when i got in i could see that the fuel gauge was beginning to dip below full as i drove down the road. I pulled into the gas station and it was 4 gallons shy of full. No biggy, gas is only 2.25 a gallon now, but out of the gate a minor disappointment.I began my trip early the next day at about 2 am, heading on the interstate down to NYC. 2/3 of the way through the trip to the destination - the rear tire blew. I phoned Enterprise support and got a nice agent from Kansas who took my information down. From the sounds of things, there was little that she could do for me in short order, and it would likely take several hours to dispatch a truck, and possibly most of the day to resolve it. I then attempted to get the spare tire on myself, and its a good thing i was able to get the spare on, otherwise i would have been stranded at 6am on the side of the highway. I asked if i could pick another truck up someplace, since the truck had a temporary tire only - but the agent could not point me for certainty in the direction to a location that would have one. Also, if its beyond normal business hours, none of the rental locations were open to exchange with anyways (this is within 100 miles from NYC). I was given a number of one site that was near my destination i could try and call to see if they had another truck to swap to, but when i phoned at 8am, they had none. I asked the attendant there and he pointed me to travel to JFK or Laguardia to check if they had one, and that there was no way to call them since they dont have direct phone lines for customers. Its apparent that the rental inventory system is not accurate as to what is actually available at any given rental locations site. I validated this not only with the attendant on the support line in Kansas, but with the attendant who was at the location at the Astoria location that they had told me i might find a swap out truck. That left me feeling more or less like i was on my own.I reached my destination in Astoria, loaded the motorcycle up, and headed back, hoping and praying that the trucks temporary tire would make the 300 mile trip home. Lucky for me it did, and I even got the truck returned within the time i had reserved it for (1 day), despite the flat.When I returned the truck and explained what had happened, and gave them the details of my experience, they charged me the full price for the rental. I was half expecting a break of some sort for all the trouble and misfortune but instead they notified me that it was good thing that I had paid for the insurance, otherwise i would be on the hook for a great deal more to cover the tire and possibly other fees. I could tell that these were the original tires that had come with the truck, and they were getting close to the end of their life with about 17k of wear on them. I was told that even still, i would have been on the hook for a new tire, labor, and possibly charged an additional day for the time that the truck was being servicedA bit deflated about the experience and support, i looked online to see if this was standard practice / par for the course with rental cars, and as it turns out - It is the case, if you get a flat - you pay for it, even if its normal wear and tare on the vehicle (unless you opt for the insurance). Overall, I think there is room for improvement, when it comes to customer service. I was left feeling like i was on my own in my time of need and was lucky that the vehicle made it back in one piece in the planned time.
I rent cars for work all the time. We use Enterprise, and they are always great. Their customer service is terrific. They always accommodate, and they remember who you are when you become a fairly frequent renter. I like them so much that I only use them on my personal vacations as well. Any problem I’ve ever had they were always willing to solve right away.Also there plus program adds up pretty quickly for free rentals.
I have always been very pleased with Enterprise....no matter what location I have rented from. They are very knowledgeable and extremely courteous even in these trying times of the pandemic. Their vehicles are always kept in great shape. I would not rent from any other place but Enterprise.
Always have great vehicles. Price is competitive if not better than other rental vendors. In my case they did not have the smaller vehicle and they upgraded at the same price. Staff is always pleasant on the sign out and return. I like the on-line email receipts too.The entire staff is wonderful and very customer oriented. I recommend Enterprise over any of the other local car rental agencies.
Staff at East Rochester branch couldnt have been nicer, immediately offered us an upgrade (to a truck!) because of a shortage of cars they said was due to not yet getting this years allotment of new cars, agreed instead to upgrade us to a very nice Ford Fusion hybrid. The car was faultless and served us well, and return was seamless. Got a ride home quickly, too. I hope their business remains brisk--in good ways.
Was informed I would receive a call from a manager 3 days in a row. I had to call a 4th day to finally get an answer on my dispute. Ridiculously high rental costs even for the tiniest car, and poor customer service. Stay away from all rental car places if you can, but for sure stay away from this place.
Quick service and no surprise on my final charge. It did take awhile though for the charge to be finalized, not sure if it was because I used Discover or thats just the new process. The young driver fee was only waived until the end of June so that stunk and there honestly shouldnt be one for 21+.
I have rented from these folks many times in the past and have always had a great experience. This time was no different. The staff is always trying to do more and make sure youre happy!My only negative is that I have found the cleanliness of the cars to be a little wanting. This time the interior windshield was heavily streaked.Otherwise, 5 stars!
This location employs young, inexperienced, poorly trained sales people. Our car was not ready at reservation time and had a check engine light on which we were told to ignore. On day two, the fob battery started dying and we could not safely lock our car in center city Philadelphia for fear of not getting back in. A call to the sales location was pointless, they dont know a thing about the cars they rent. Road service finally helped us with a simple tip. I returned the car to find my own vehicle had a smashed windshield.* UPDATE * A corporate Enterprise representative contacted me after this incident and rectified the situation. They also reviewed the report with the manager, who was not present at the time of my rental, who will discuss the incident with the sales staff as part of training.
I rent regularly with this Enterprise office and occasionally with another rental company a few miles away. I have been consistently impressed with the speed at which this office is able to get me on the road even though they are busy! Very little waiting here which is not true at the other rental company. Returns are quick too. Never had a vehicle from them that I didnt like.
Was involved in a minor fender bender, and the insurance company arranged for Enterprise to have a car for me to use while mine was being repaired. The car was waiting for me when I dropped off my car to the repair shop. Ir was a clean Nissan Rogue, and fit my needs very well. When I returned it to the rental site, I was able to get in and out with a minimum of time and effort, and everyone was very courteous and professional, yet very friendly. Have rented from them in the past for personal use, and will continue to do so in the future.
Dear Enterprise.When it comes to car rentals only two things matter to me.1. timeliness - In the 4 years I have been renting cars from you regardless of the day or the time of my rental. IT IS NEVER READY at the time I request! Why must I wait for a rental to be ready when I have made reservation weeks in advance?2. A decent car consistently each time. The varying quality of the cars you rent is staggering!?! I rent a full size car, you try put me in a truck!?! You rent me car with bald tires during a snow storm. You rent me car with no wiper fluid, and an empty gas tank?The forced fake professionalism with first names and handshakes is insulting when you cant even do the basics of car rentals correctly. You are focused on the wrong aspects of the car rental business. If you were not the only rental company in town I would not be a customer.
They take all of your information over the phone and when you get there they tell you they have no available cars to rent. Nice way to get a nice fat database of names, addresss and drivers license numbers. The person I spoke with at the Main Street location said I should make plans in advance the next time I need to rent a car. Sure - the next time my own car breaks down and has to be towed to a mechanic - I will be sure to have planned ahead.The East Rochester location was able to accommodate me and offered a small refund when I returned the rental but I wont be renting from Enterprise ever again.
The manager at the East Rochester branch (Kyle) is always so helpful and goes out of his way to assist us. As a small business owner he understands the importance of our time. I always go to the East Rochester location because Kyle and his team are Great! Thanks guys!
Courteous and friendly staff. Upgraded last time out which was nice. Car was clean and ready to go. Price and value excellent.Only complaint was that reservation was made for 5:30 (they close at 6:00), I needed to be picked up at 5:00 or 5:15 (could only arrange after work) to get me to 5:30 reservation. At initial reservation call was told no problem. When day came I called at 2:30 to schedule the 5:00 pick-up. Was told they stop picking up at 4:30. No lee-way. Disappointed.
When my Altima needed service unexpectedly, I stopped at the Enterprise location and within ten minutes they had me in a rental Altima. At the Linden Ave. location they have always accommodated me with pickups and drop offs to my service facility. The representatives there are always friendly and helpful. Great Job!!
The vehicle was more than expected. We rented a 12 passenger van for a trip to OKC and were upgraded to a 15 passenger at no cost. The van drove and handled very well. The rental and return process was nearly flawless, except that they charged us for extra fuel based upon a mistake on the documentation. A couple of calls to the office and that situation was resolved without any issues. Highly recommend Enterprise on Linden Ave. in Rochester NY.
I have to say that although I specified in my phone reservation I would need an SUV, a small Suburu was waiting for me. That to me is akin to a station wagon. I suppose I should have explained I needed the height of an SUV to be able to slide into rather than bend down and lift out of.However, with the immediate return of a Hyundai Tuscon, all ended well.My rental is out of the Linden Ave. location. I found my personal associate Jack, professional, calm, and upbeat. He showed me he was willing to please me as a customer.Added: Returned my vehicle today. The ride was outstanding! Andrew worked with my insurance company throughout, ensuring my coverage and keeping me in the loop. I highly recommend this location!
A few years ago I switched rental agencies to Enterprise. The reason i switched was purely due to price and now I wouldnt leave Enterprise because their service matches the amazing prices. The vehicles are always clean and the sales reps are always nice and accommodating and there is no high pressure sales.
With our car having transmission leaking due to a auto repair error. I had to rent a vehicle for a week and decided to try here. Staff was very friendly, and we had no issues. The rental was not overly expensive either and I highly recommend renting from this Enterprise location. We will rent from here with our upcoming vacation.
My experience wth Ahmed especially at this branch was outstanding. I was renting a few days before my car had to go into the mechanic so I was to cover some expenses while the auto shop was to pick up the rest. As expected there were some issues wth that which Ahmed handled beautifully. Not only was he proactive wth the mechanic, making sure my interests were met, he was polite and persistent when explanations were unclear. He himself drove me to the mechanic to pick.up.my car, further resolving the issue in person wth the mechanic, to.everyones satisfaction, especially mine. I was impressed by his polite, professional, proactive advocacy for his customer and highly commend and thank him!The car I rented was in perfect condition as well - new hyundai elantra-ran beautifully. Not always the case wth Enterprise - this is the first I have used them in a couple of years and overall much improved experience.
The staff at Penfield Enterprise are AWESOME!I especially want to thank Christopher Dean and Andrew Winderl for providing outstanding customer service.I had a situation requiring a 7 passenger mini van on short notice. These gentlemen worked tirelessly to locate a vehicle that would suit my needs and deliver on my time schedule. And they delivered! Their focus, attention to detail and commitment to customer service put me, literally, in the drivers seat in the right vehicle at the right time.Thank you for your outstanding work! I recently rented an auto from Enterprise and a gentleman bythe name of Paul took care of that rental.Wonderful service, the car fit my needs like a glove.....I may be wooed with coupons and special offers fromthe other rental agencies but Enterprise is the tried andtrue for me.
Rented a large SUV for a long trip to NC. I have used this location before for business and have always had great service. Showed up at the designated time and they had 3 to choose from. Unfortunately one had a chip in the windshield (in drivers view) and the others were not ready. There was a 4th in the cleaning bay getting prepped. They offered me that one and asked if I could wait a few minutes while they finished up. We walked around the vehicle, agreed to what should be noted and away I went. Trip/vehicle went flawless. I dropped off the vehicle after hours. I get a call a couple days later from them. They wanted to validate the charges on the credit card before actually hitting the card. I thought that was a nice touch. I was concerned there was an issue and they said on the phone no issue, we just like to review/validate agreement on the charges before processing. Nice. This is the 4th-5th rental I have had through this branch and will continue to use them.
Nothing other than a positive experience from both the Webster NY and East Rochester, NY locations. I pick up my car...it’s always clean and not smelling of any ecigs or any funny smells. I am AlWAYS treated with respect and feel very welcome there. Highly recommended to anyone!!
I have had nothing but excellent service from multiple employees at Enterprise in East Rochester. I am first time renter because of an accident that wasn’t my fault. They have helped and assisted me with all my concerns and questions. I couldn’t be more happy with my experience. Thank you Jeremy, Mike and everyone else who has helped and assisted with my rental! I was somewhat disappointed with my last experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Other than the above-average customer service, the car that they rented me (Ford Focus) drove like garbage (I would never buy one of these cars; the acceleration was very sluggish (it was only a 2015 model), and the displays are all over the place and hard to get used to). Also, when I went in to rent the vehicle (I had been there only 6 months previous), I had to provide 3 references in order to rent a car. Are you kidding me? I had just rented from you in the last 6 months, and you now need references, even in spite of my excellent credit rating? Next time, I think I will consider renting somewhere else. And if I do rent from you next time, please DO NOT even consider putting me in a cr*ppy Ford Focus. Thank you.
My company rents many vehicles here and we always schedule ahead of time. Why cant a car be ready for me? Clean? gas filled? and ready to sign and go? Last time I had no patience to wait, so I took a dirty car (inside and out) with 3/4 gas tank. At least I had 3/4 tank, most times its 1/8 tank.
Racial Profiling at its finest!..I went in as a first time customer to rent a vehicle, Supposedly the bad elements (Black People) that rent vehicles at this place abuse the cars, Now when a hard working individual like myself come to rent a vehicle with a valid drivers license thats impeccable and a work paystub and a valid credit card I cannot rent a vehicle because the address on my VALID DRIVERS LICENSE is different from my check stub.I was appalled! Every person of color is not a bad person!

Thank you to RAY for finding my camera and keeping it safe! I returned our rental car on Saturday 8/11/18, and didnt realize we left my camera in the car. It was such a busy weekend for us as we were coming home from my youngest sons wedding in NC. We looked everywhere and called everywhere, hoping to find the camera from NC back to Rochester. As a last resort, I went back to the Enterprise to see if it was left in the car the next day. As one can imagine, the pictures of my sons wedding on the camera are priceless, the camera was secondary. I cant thank you enough RAY and Enterprise! Thank you for your care and integrity . It was only okey. When Im returned the car to the Rochester airport parking lot the first thing In was told by the service attended was that It parked in the wrong spot and needed to move the car.Next when I requested a receipt the agent said she could not give me one .I went to the enterprise counter.inside the airport and he printed out a receipt.Walter Kearns

2021-12-30Stay away from this location I’ve rented from other locations with zero issue. Recently rented a car here and even let them up sell me on a vehicle that came with nothing but problems and even potential Covid-19 exposure due to lack of even simple cleaning procedures let alone sanitization of the vehicles. First problem was a bad set of windshield wipers accompanied by a dirty both exterior and interior of the windshield. This caused a small trip to be canceled the first evening of my rental from not being able to safely see in the snow with such poor wipers. When I brought this to the attention of the store the following day on Christmas Eve, i was offered to either switch vehicles (which I did not want) or try to track down a set of wiper blades at one of their partnering businesses so it could be billed the their account. I was ensured at that time that a manager would contact me to discuss partial refund for this issue. The following day on Christmas the low wiper fluid indicator came on. Accompanied with rusty brakes a visibly dirty interior and a cloud of blue smoke emoting from the tailpipe on the final day of the rental finally having me say enough was enough and just bring it back a few hours early, it’s safe to say this rental was just passed onto me from the last renter. The rear seats had stains and dust on them with leftover trash under the driver seat from a previous driver. When I returned the vehicle I brought these cleanliness issues to the attention of the attendant checking the car in and was ensured again that I would be contacted by a manager. I have yet to hear anything. Bottom line I feel I was sold a car that was not safe just so they could make an extra sale that weekend possibly putting not only my life but the life of others in jeopardy on several instances with their recklessness approach to cleanliness/safety therefore I will be escalating this matter further.EDIT: ive now contacted enterprise customer service 4 days after i dropped off my vehicle as i have not received a receipt. i was told they have not checked in my car or released my $300 deposit. this is now being reported to my bank and health department. enterprise customer service offered me no solution other than well have the manager call you im sure ill get that call the second my bank talks to said manager

2022-04-07The gentleman here were very helpful! They are very kind and understanding. I had a beautiful rental very clean and I felt very safe driving in the nasty NY weather. I love the fact you have unlimited miles and they are upfront with the deposit.I am HIGHLY Recommending Enterprise Rental.I will be doing more business in the furture!Thanks again for being so caring.

2022-05-24I got picked up at the repair shop and was taken to Enterprise..My Enterprise employee took really good care of me..We checked out my rental for dents and scratches..Then I was on my way..

2022-02-09These guys work pretty hard. They seem constantly understaffed which is something their management needs to address. Better working conditions and better pay would probably help. There are some minor nit-picks but other than that I had a positive experience.

2021-05-30Got to say we had a great experience even though so many things went wrong. Van was not ready at 8 because of tire pressure issue. They got one from close by after a bit wait. They said 9 but had it ready by 830. Then on our drive we got a flat tire. Had to replace the car which went really smooth. In all we enjoyed it how they were very happy.

2021-09-12Follow up is important but these guys didnt follow up. Our rental had garbage under the seat and the key fobs didnt both work. And we were delayed leaving because while they promised a full tank, it was less than a fourth full. They said they would call us and discount the rental charge. They havent called. It has been more than two weeks. Remember their ad, well pick you up??? Not quite.

2021-08-22This branch is the worst branch of Enterprise. Today I went to return the car that I had rented due to Amica Insurance claim. I met a gentleman named Pat. Due to some paperwork issues we had a little dispute. Pat was downright abusive. He shouted at me and yelled: “I am the assistant manager and don’t tell me how to do my job”. Then despite the promise by Enterprise to give me ride back home, he simply shouted at me: “I will not give you a ride back home”. If there is a Zero star rating I would give that rating to this location. Stay away from this location unless you want to be abused and yelled at by the incompetent staff. I had a much better experience with Henrietta location of Enterprise. Go there or better avoid Enterprise, if you can. I had no choice because Amica Insurance deals with Enterprise only.

2021-03-22After using Enterprise over many years, this was one of the very few times we were quite disappointed. I used an upgrade offer to get a slightly larger car - but that vehicle was not in very good condition. There was significant noise from a rear door or window (loose gasket maybe?) and the car rode rough. To top things off, there was no EZ pass on the vehicle which we assumed would be there - and that resulted in almost $10 in fees. Weve almost always had excellent service with Enterprise so this was quite disappointing.

2020-11-22We had great luck with a fun rental car and wonderful assistance during a tough time. An employee mentioned how we could save money by renting from them to go and get a new car after someone totaled our old one. We were very satisfied with our overall experience.
