Enterprise is so easy to do business with, especially the Rockville Centre location. The representatives are friendly, courteous and accommodating. I had an issue with the cleanliness of the car and they made an adjustment to my bill. I would absolutely continue to rents cars through them and highly recommend others to do the same.
I have been renting cars from Enterprise for years. They are my favorite car rental service. My recent experience with the Rockville Centre, NY office was fantastic! Even though they had no record of my rental reservation, I was fixed up with a car within fifteen minutes. Remarkable! Price was right and service was excellent.One suggestion: If you order a car from the Rockville Center site, be sure to note if it is the RC in New York or Maryland. My reservation, I found out later, was at the MD site, when I assumed it was in NY. Check the fine print!Many thanks to Enterprise Rent-A-Car!
Chris was FANTASTIC and saved my day! We need a million more just like him, thanks for everything Chris... now as for whomever else works here, I highly suggest you train them properly. Their failure to provide accurate information made for a very rough transaction. Car nice and clean, but again.. staff needs some training! They told me I could pay with debit but failed to tell me to bring a paystub or a utility bill... thats what I am thinking about right after a traumatic experience when Enterprise closes in 2 minutes!
Every renter be careful. we rented a car from them a while ago them and we didn’t double check the car. when we returned the car, they said we dented the car door. when we looked at the door we couldn’t make out the dent. then they made our insurance pay. we said we could pay with cash for the damage and they ignored us and called our insurance anyways. plus we figured out that the cost for damage is only 100$. we could have payed for it ourselves but they said to not worry and to let insurance pay and then the cost for our insurance doubled. they probably already knew about this dent before we rented the car and they wanted to push the fault to us to make us pay. (then we went to budget car rental and we had a better experience there.) so, double check before you rent a car. this is a warning
Great cars, great service, easy to book online, great customer support. Overall positive experience and Enterprise is still my #1 car rental company in my list. The only concern is pricing issue over time. Already spent close to 20k on rentals since 2012. Have existing member account, still pricing goes up after you renew your contract. My understanding is, the longer you keep buying or requesting service from one same company the better deal you get each time(at least you keep paying the same amount, not extra).
Recently, I needed to transport a large number of people ( 10 ) to a special event, far more than my SUV could accommodate.. I rented a large van, seating 11, from Enterprise Rent A Car in Rockville Centre, L.I. and was very pleased with the total experience. The van was ready and available on time as promised. The van was clean and performed very well on the road. I found the staff to be courteous, efficient, and helpful. If I need to rent a vehicle again for any reason, I would not hesitate to return to the Rockville Centre branch of Enterprise Rent A Car.
Everyone from the drivers to Management is always very helpful and accommodating. I have never left unhappy. Even when it takes a little longer to wait for a car to come in they make sure that you are set up with the best option possible. These guys have been great since I started using them last year.
Im never dissatisfied when Im in rvc enterprise. Theyre quick and efficient but even better, so friendly. Managers get to work just like other employees and everyone seems genuinely happy to help. I was just there and had the best experience with them. Not surprising, I always do!
Me and my boyfriend had a situation where a company in NJ damaged our car, and the rental car company they work with is Enterprise, so they sent our information to this location for us to pick up a vehicle to use while ours is getting fixed. We called them yesterday and was CONFIRMED with a 3pm pickup time today with one of their reps, since we were leaving from NJ at 10am and wanted to allow for plenty of travel time with the forecasted rainy weather to get back safely. This location calls us this morning at 10:30am to let us know they apparently forgot their scheduled closing time on Saturdays and that we had to come pick the car up earlier. Since we were not driving back to NY [company provided us with transportation to our home], we saw we would get to Baldwin by 12:45 and asked that they stay open for us until 1:30pm [just incase there were any sudden travel delays]. We were told by the manager Emily that she could not do it because she had her own plans to take care of after work and she was traveling to NJ, and to go pick up the car in NJ. Excuse me what? It was YOUR location/employee’s mistake with the scheduling. If we would have been informed they closed so early when we scheduled to pick up the car, we could have scheduled our arrival at an earlier time. Especially when they are closed tomorrow. She wouldn’t even offer to find another location to send our information to, claiming none of the locations are open on Sundays. I had to quickly look online myself to find that Valley Stream location is indeed open on Sundays and have the information sent there. HORRIBLE managerial skills! She should have been more apologetic and accommodating when it was THEIR mistake
Poor service - they made several mistakes:1. They charged my debit card $550 when they said they would only charge $250 for debit cards and $500 for credit cards. I told them it was a debit card and they charged $550 without my authorization.2. When I returned the car on 10/19/15, they said their computer system was down and they would call me to go through the final charges before charging my card. They never called me, and instead my card was charged without my authorization and without giving me a chance to review the charges. I received an email that i had already been charged.3. They erroneously overcharged me $11.99 a day for 27 days ($323) by charging for additional insurance coverage on the vehicle even though I initialed the box indicating that I waived the additional insurance.4. When I challenged the overcharge, they said they had sent all the paperwork to corporate and it would take up to 72 hours just to get the paperwork back so they could first review my complaint about being overcharged. As of this writing it has been almost two full business days and I still have not heard from them. Had to call my bank and register a challenge to the overcharge.
Normally, our experience with Enterprise rates 4 stars. This time we lowered our rating because the glove box was full of garbage and the change oil light came on almost immediately after leaving the lot. We also learned that, if they call to confirm your rental, they take you off the days list if you dont return the call after 30 minutes. (We do not answer calls that have only an unfamiliar number on the caller ID. If it had said Enterprise, we would have done so.) That said, personnel are always friendly and helpful about picking us up.
I was given a brand new car as my rental . The staff was courteous, they picked me up from the collision center . The only out of pocket expenses I had was the additional collision coverage . Returning the rental was effortless . I was allowed to leave the rental at the collision center and Enterprise picked it up from them . So it was a wonderful experience
I wished I had read these reviews before renting from this location. First of all the car was dirty, smelling of cigarette and they never really did anything to take the smoke out.secondly, they overcharged me because the gas was a little bit less and charged 3.29 per gallon while gas is 1.77 per gallon. I even offered to go fill it up but they refused.No sense of customer service here, I think they need good management because the staff are not doing a good job at all. This is my 3rd time here, never again.VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My first experience using Enterprise was after Superstorm Sandy, and I was very happy with their Customer Service which is why I turned to them again this time when my car needed emergency servicing. Ive had to use this rental location a few times now. They always appear to have new staff members and horrible customer service. I called a couple of times before taking my car into the dealership to confirm the availability of select models since my dealer only reimburses for the same type of manufacturer. They are always rude, and just lie straight up.One lady today even had a complete conversation by herself on the phone without allowing me to even ask any questions, and then hung up the phone. I mean, how do you have a conversation by yourself and then hang up the phone? I can see this company being the next on the list for bankruptcy. Please save yourself the disappointment and hassle.The cars are NEVER clean. They guy sprays water on the car using a hose and doesnt clean the inside, or really the outside. They gave me a car with an empty tank 3 times and tell me to bring it back with the same amount of gas. How does one plan to drive around and bring a car back perfectly with an empty tank of gas? Inside the vehicle had old food smelling, dog hair all over. They close conveniently at 12 on Saturdays and your pretty much stuck with the piece of crap they give you.For anyone using this as a business reason, please do yourself a favor and skip this location. Its obvious that they are only still barely in business because of the dealerships using them for customer rentals.Thanks.
Rented from Enterprise a cargo van with friend last minute and had a pleasant and positive experience from beginning to end! Fairly priced and quick hold via the Reservations Desk. Nick, the sales associate, and Mike, Branch Manager, went above and beyond to be accommodating during transaction. Highly recommend and will continue to use going forward. Thanks, Enterprise Staff!!!
This branch RVC was nothing but nice and understanding when dealing with them. However , I rented a car from them which had no A/C. Then switched it out for another car that broke down in the middle of the highway because of mechanical issues. Because of this break down I was stalled on the highway for 4 -6 hours which made my trip even longer. Which also meant I couldnt return the car in time. I spoke wih Janeen who was nothing but understanding and caring ! However when time came to close out my bill it was as if enterprise didnt care that both of there two cars failed me. It was like I had to fight for them to understand my trip was partially ruined because of them and that I was totally dissatisfied with the service. When stalled in the middle of the highway in South Carolina one sales rep at the Florence airport told me to take an Uber back to NYC and that he had no cars available for me even though my rental was already paid for. Then he all of a sudden found a car for me which was a compact size and was unwilling to accommodate me and all of my luggage. Mind you I paid for a full size car so all my stuff could fit. Im really annoyed because of all the hurdles I had to jump through enterprise wasnt willing to give me a discount and accept responsibility of their cars failure. I literally had to fight on the phone for 30 minutes to receive any sort of minor discount. I probably wont be back to rent from them.
Made a reservation they manager of the location said to bring in a current utility bill which we did when we arrived there named BRIANNA told us she cannot except the bill because it’s showing a balance I told her I paid the bill four days ago and there’s a zero balance she said page would need to verify that and send her a copy,never in all the years of renting from enterprise did I have to de with this she left me data ding outside for a hour the. Proceeds to tell me there’s nothing she can do I told her to pull me up from the island park location she said I’m not in there lies!!! She also turned away another customer as well. It’s now 11:30 on a Saturday and there about to close so I rushed over to the enterprise in Bellmore and the rented me a car with the same bill I showed this woman BRIANNA I was there for no more then 15 min great service from the Bellmore location do not rent from Rockville Centre location there horrible when the mangers call to verify the reservation the tell you to bring a utility bill do they say a bill with no balance ummm no they never said this to me nor has any other location do not deal with location renter beware
Ive used the Enterprise office in Rockville Center, NY almost every week since May. The staff there is always courteous, professional ,accommodating and friendly. The manager, Devan and his staff deserve kudos. I have several more reservations over the summer and am looking forward to renting from Enterprise.
Was fast an easy, Lolita Barnett was extremely helpful. I needed a loaner while my car was in the shop, Lolita called after I picked up the car to see if I was satisfied, there was one small issue with the car that I wasnt really going to complain about but she told me to absolutely bring it back the next day and she would exchange it.
Agents very helpful for most of month-long rental experience. However, returned one car due to odor suggestive of water damage. Interior of cars was dingy in appearance due to ragged mat under drivers side and water stains on all seats. A change from what I have come to expect from Enterprise. Is this office a dumping ground for low quality fleet?
Awful experience at both the Freeport and Rockville Centre Enterprise locations. I needed a rental for about 10 days while my car was being repaired. I visited the Rockville Centre location, it was chaos. The wait was ridiculous and the rep at the counter, Lola, was very unpleasant. After waiting 2 hours (I kid you not), I had to visit the Freeport location to pick up the rental since the only ones available at the Rockville Centre Enterprise were minivan and I needed something smaller that would be gas efficient. At the Freeport location, I ended up with a vehicle which later popped a “check engine oil” light on. Feedup with the whole poor experience, I returned the vehicle the next day and got a rental from Hertz in Freeport, which I came across to driving work that morning and what a difference everything was there for the better. Very disappointed in Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Relatively efficient process BUT they failed to tell me there would be an additional driver charge. My wife and I were listed as the drivers. I asked if I could replace my wife and my daughter and was told yes. Somehow they still charged me for an additional driver. Ouch!
I rent from this location often but this last rental was the worse experience Ive ever had with enterprise. I rented a car frm the rvc location no walk around was done the agent took forever to bring the car out front and sat inside for the car for a while recording mileage and gas then jumped out walked to the back of the car and handed me the ipad to intial. I asked if he did the walk around already and he said he did and that the car was all set to go. Being in a rush myself I just initialed where he directed me to and drove off. We drove the car to nj and not even two hours of having the car I got a flat driving over a railroad crossing. We waited close to an hour for roadside assistance where the mechanic put on the spare tire. He told me I wouldnt make it back to LI on the spare and that I should go to the nearest entereprise to get a replacement car. I did as I was told only to be offered a pick up truck which I could not take because my sons car seat wont fit. That enterprise in east orange, NJ told me to take the car to firestone where they will replace the tire. Once I got to firestone they told me I would have to leave the car for a few hours. This is after I missed two appointments and 4+ hours of my time wasted. I called the rvc location to get some help finding a replacement car I spoke with Kristen who could care less about the trouble Ive had all day with the car. She put me on hold for over 30 mins. I ended up finding another location on my own who had a car ready for me. But that is not the best part of this story. When the orange nj location inspected the car they saw damage not reported when I picked it up and I did not cause this damage. Thank god I took full coverage or I would be stuck with a bill. Renter beware of this location. They are all liars and the manager acted like he did me a favor refunding me the rental fee ...I cannot get back the time I wasted and the unnecessary stress it caused me and my family.
Will never rent from them again. Went through Geico, which has partnered with them and a local body shop, after my car was hit. Experience started out ok, they picked me up, and gave me a mini-van, which I drove for 3 weeks while my car was getting repaired. The van was fine, but it had a perpetual smell of body odor and air-freshener, but thats beside the point. I returned to the van to the body shop when my personal car was fixed, and a couple of hours later, somebody from the Freeport Enterprise called me and said there was damage to the car. I told her I had a walk-around with the body shop owner, and we didnt see anything, but she insisted there was damage. The body shop owner was nice enough to take a look, he said he couldnt even see anything in the initial photos, but when he looked at the correct angle, he could see a 3 crease in the passenger side door. He was nice enough to fix it himself, and this is where the run around started. I would call Enterprise every day for 9 days to find out the status of the damage and not holding me liable as the body shop fixed it, all the while, getting FedEx packages from their Damage Recovery Unit in 2 different states demanding I fill them out and return them in a certain amount of time. . Well, youll have to call the Freeport office since theyre the ones reporting it. I call the Freeport office. Well, youre have to call RVC since you rented it from there. Often I was put on hold, which after a certain amount of time, seems to go to a fax machine, or was hung up on when taken off hold. Finally get a manager at Enterprise RVC, who promises to fax paperwork by the end of the day the first day I speak to him, and every subsequent day, but never does. Finally got the fax from him today. The kicker is, the damage was from a previous renter, and there was a previous claim written on the vehicle which was not realized by the representative. Never ever using them again -- Geico and the Body Shop were great. Enterprise, not so much.
I never have had such a bad experience renting a car before. I had just totalled my car and Geico gave me a reservation here. So I get the car, went over it for scratches but didnt look under the front door where there is a scratch, literally you have to bend down and look under it. Who looks there?! No one. Seriously kicking me while Im already down. I couldnt find a new car before my time was up so I have no car and another claim now. They also tried to sell me a car when they found out that I was looking for one. Definitely not getting a car from them now. Seriously dont rent from them! There are so many other places you can rent from who dont try to screw you over every chance they get.
I have been renting from Enterprise for several years now. This was my first time at this location and they didnt let me down. The car I reserved was there and ready for me when I showed up, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the final price came out to exactly what had been quoted. It was a LOT cheaper than renting at JFK!!
I just bought a car here and I had a great experience. After looking into many car dealerships I finally found a place where I could find exactly what I was looking for. Carlos H. Knew how to make my searching easier, he was very knowlagble, helpful and gentle. Moreover, it was great to have somebody that could speak my own language (spanish) that made everything even easier. Im sure I will be back in the future to make business with Carlos again
I rent only from enterprise, but this one particular one is the worst. They over charge me and it took them six days to refund my deposit. The car they gave me was terrible, I had a 10am pick up i didnt get the car til 12pm I missed my appointment. They are uncooperative. The worst experience I ever had.
Each vehicle needs to be dealt with better when customers come in and rent the vehicle. They also need to give a better discount to the customers. They had a contract with AAA but recently, the discount for AAA is no longer being used. They need to be better with customer complaints and more understanding to work with the customers.
This was the worst experience at a rental place I have ever had! I DO NOT RECOMMEND this location at all. There were not cooperative. They lied to me about pick up. They were constantly calling and harassing me. This location does not communicate with its employees and always blames the customer! It you have to use enterprise then go to another location!
The best staff in Longisland are at Rockvile Center, Freeport, & Valley stream .They willed anything to put you in a car. Most accommodating , never loose their cool, work with you & your budget. They make you realise that renting is better than owning. They a so good.
It doesnt get any better than this location. I have been going here for the last 10 years and the service is always been the Gold Standard! All I can say is keep up the good work and of course I will be back.Thanks for the great customer service. Its nice to know that it still exist.

2021-03-22Staff were very helpful. There was no problem when I had to return the rental car because my husband could not easily get into the SUV. I was give a car with easier access. The return was both simple and quick. I have used this rental car location several times and have been satisfied each time.

2021-10-10Customer service wise 👌. Delivering on the service fall way short. Given a vehicle with bald tires pointed it out to the associate who had a quick fix for for said vehicle. Point is the vehicle should of been looked at upon receiving had to wait loss time and appointments. INSPECT FLEET UPON RETURN.

2020-07-29Everything was phenomenal about the customer service. I was immediately greeted, told what car options I had and even a pleasant conversation about my upcoming plans. Tue car was cleaned (especially now during COVID) I can tell they took their time to make sure my experience was quick and easy. Definitely will be renting again from this location. They are consistent which is what I LOVE!

2020-09-17I’m not really sure who helped my mom and I but I dont think he could’ve been more rude. Tall guy in a Steelers mask. We made a reservation online to pick up a car today to go visit a sick family member. Did everything online because when we tried to call they said nope just do it online. Ok no problem, made the reservation and it was confirmed and to bring photo id and the card we’re paying with. Go there and we’re told because it’s a debit card we’re paying with they would only honor the reservation with two current utility bills. First of all who has those on them at the ready? We told him we didn’t have those on us he says oh well then i can’t help you today! He says have a great day and goes back inside. I checked the website to see what else we could’ve done or maybe we had made the mistake of not seeing where it told us to bring two utility bills. It didn’t say it anywhere on the reservation page and i checked the FAQs on the website under “Paying With a Debit Card” it states SEVERAL ways a branch would be able to give us a car while paying with a credit card. Including a most recent paystub (i had it on my phone i could’ve loaded it for him and even printed it), the whole price of the rental including a small deposit (which we more than had), and personal references which we definitely could’ve had for the guy. He was totally unwilling to help now so thanks for nothing!!!

2021-07-21BEWARE!! Their COVID cleaning guidelines aren’t followed. It’s obvious they do not clean cars thoroughly because I found garbage in the rental cars trunk, underneath seat and glove box. I called and was told a manager would get back to me. They never did. I had to call again to get someone on the phone about the issue.

2021-04-29This place is a joke!!! I made a reservation for my moms 50th birthday. I spoke to an agent that reserved a 12 passenger van, after taking down all of my information. My family and I were all ready to go when I get there the gentlemen said they not only do not have my car but they have no cars available!!! That I had to call around and see who has one available!!! I mean are you serious this is how this business is run?! Such miss management and incompetence.

2020-09-08Josh at the Rockville Centre location went above and beyond to get me into a rental right before my birthday and two weeks after my car was totaled after a lady ran a red light. Josh even sanitized the vehicle instantly after i chose which car I wanted. The car ran so smoothly i went from a two day rental to an 8 day rental completed a months worth of laundry and errands. I cant wait to upgrade next time. Handicap Friendly.
