Overall I had a great experience with Enterprise at the White Plains location. The car given me was an upgrade to a Chevy Impala which turned out to be a great car with power and good handling. I arrived at the White Plains Metro North and waited 15 minutes because someone was supposed to pick me up. No one arrived so I took a cab at the request of Enterprise staff. I was told I was reimbursed for the cab but I never saw it itemized on the receipt. Another issue: I was told the car had a half tank of gas when it fact it had a quarter tank which I didnt realize until I was on the road. So there was staff confusion with that. I think the cars should have at least a half tank before you rent it out again.Staff was very friendly and professional. i dealt with Nico and one other male who rented me the car and both were very friendly. When I returned the car a different male helped me who was super friendly and drove me to the Metro North with some other people. So that was great. The car was a little dirty on the inside leading me to believe they had just turned it around but that was okay because I had to get on the road.I would recommend this location but I have to be honest its one of the dumpier Enterprise locations and has a small parking lot.
Very reliable, and friendly service. Ordered a compact car, and was given an impala, so wasnt exactly given what I ordered there, but it was an upgrade so I was fine with it. Sure it may have had worse gas mileage than a tiny car, but I was much more comfortable in it, and the mileage was totally fine, so I was happy. The service was great, they picked me up as advertised, and were friendly the whole time. I may use other services if I can find a cheaper one, but if its at all comparable when Im looking, Ill always pick Enterprise for their service and reliability.
Last year and in past years I have rented cargo vans from Enterprise for moving my large artworks. I had a reservation for August 6th, but after the big storm that left our area with partial power in many places, including the Enterprise I use on Tarrytown Road in White Plains, I was having trouble getting the vehicle I needed. There was an issue with the one that they had planned on renting to me. Luckily for me the branch manager, Savanah Catucci was very sympathetic to my plight, and spent a lot of time trying to obtain the large cargo van I had reserved. She was able to find one at 3 pm on the 7th (the next day) and my move was back on track. She was so diligent and worked so hard to accommodate me. There is not enough praise that I can give her. She cares about her customers and goes the extra mile to make sure their needs are met.
I was extremely pleased with the assistance I received at Enterprise. All of the representatives couldnt have been nicer and more accommodating. They made the rental experience flawless. My only criticism is that they are so busy that they did not have time to clean the exterior of my car before renting it and the windshield was pretty dirty. However I drove it to a car wash doors away and they washed the car at no expense to me. Great job Enterprise.
The worst experience I ever had was with this Car rental. The least customer service you can ever get. For starters when I asked for rental contract they said they will email me and which they never sent which caused a lot of probem later on while returning because they were quoting I returned 2 hour later which was completly wrong but i can not prove them since they never gave me the conract.Secondly they charded me for a day extra since they were saying I brought the car after hours for which I made sure with them before returning by calling them and asking will I be charged extra if I return 1 hour later and they said its okay and its in their policy that they dont charge for 1 hour extra. Completly outrageous.
The staff at the 15 Tarrytown Road, White Plains, NY location is excellent. They are extremely courteous and helpful and treat every single customer as if he/she is THE only customer of Enterprise. I have consistently received outstanding service at this location. My only minor quibble is that I would expect to get the model car I reserve when the reservation is for a specific Luxury Exotic. At the daily rate charged for those cars, I should get the specified model reserved. Other than that, I am very satisfied with my rental experiences at this Enterprise location.

This location was great. They came thru with a rental on such short notice for me. And the people who work there are so nice and helpful. When I returned, a nice lady from enterprise drove me to where my car was being serviced and she was great. I had left a few items in the rental and she made the extra effort to return them to me.
Let me start by saying I rent cars about 20 to 30 times per year. Out of all my nationwide rentals, my experience at this enterprise was the absolute BEST! The cars they maintain on the lot make for worthwhile upgrades (reasonably priced). The customer service by Ali was top notch, if she isnt a manager, SHE SHOULD BE!My only complaint (because perfection is the goal never attained): The Audi Q7 I rented had not yet been cleaned, at first I thought it was just the exterior. Once I drove off though, I noticed donuts in cup holders, kids toys and trash throughout the vehicle, and a stench that stayed with me the whole day. In their defense, ALI offered to clean the vehicle before I left, but I declined because I did not have the time.I can tell this was likely an anomaly, because when I returned the vehicle ALI took it immediately to the cleaning area and began vacuuming.End State: When it is necessary for me to rent a vehicle in this area, I will be returning to this location and looking for ALI!
Car rented via Costco. It was supposed to be a Chrysler 300 or equivalent. Enterprise said Chevy Malibu was equivalent, but I thought the Malibu looked small in comparison to what I was expecting. They steered me toward Mazda CX3, which they said was a regular SUV and which looked physically higher than the Malibu. The Mazda was $7/day more than the reservation price (surprise, surprise). So, being in a hurry, and with only the Chevy or the Mazda to choose from, we went with the Mazda.Over the course of the rental period, the car was so small that I bumped my head getting into the car at least 7 times. I am only 5-10, but I had to bend my chin down to my chest to get in without getting a knock on the head.15 miles out, I realized cruise control didnt work, which is absolutely essential on a long road trip. Seats were just so uncomfortable after a few hours. Maintenance light came on after 1000 miles, and we took it in to get the oil changed. One plus: the mileage was good.Lesson: Avoid Mazda. Maybe reserve small and hope for an upgrade. This was definitely a downgrade.
Recently rented from here let me say to see a business run by FEMALES is amazing not only were these two wonderful woman fast, sufficient ,and very friendly. I promise my whole time with Savannah and I want say Alexis if not Im sorry but you know who you are..... Was beyond amazing and good I will recommend this location anytime and I will be back if i need another rental. Literally I was in and out under 10mins talking about driving away in my rental who rules the GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing job ladies yall deserve 10000000 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!🍾🍾🍾🍾
This was my first time renting a car from the Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Tarrytown. I was totally appalled by my experience. The manager, Jay, was very very unprofessional. My friend and I were renting a large SUV this weekend and was assured over the phone that we could pay with a debit card. As we arrived, we were told that it was not possible. I have rented large vehicles from other enterprise locations using my debit card and showed him my prior receipt from these transactions. He told me that I was not telling the truth after he saw it for himself on his computer screen. He proceeded to tell us to find another enterprise because he had customers as if we werent customers there waiting to be serviced as well. I have never been treated with such disgrace and have been using enterprise (Ardsley Location) for many years. Jays must learn how to service customers in a better manor.Although we were misinformed over the telephone, there are many ways to convey information politely, which is something Jay didnt understand.Another employee by the name of Niko was able to serve us that evening. He was much more polite and assured us of the Enterprise Policy in a very professional manor. He never dismissed our feelings and how we felt after being misinformed by the telephone personnel from that location. He was very apologetic and empathetic. We were able to rent a car that evening. The car did not have any wiper fluid and I had to drive over 100 miles without wipers fluid through the storm.Sadly, my overall experience at the Enterprise Rent-A-Car of Tarrytown was horrible. I will never rent another car from this location. I am very disappointed by the service I received from this location.
I rented various high end cars from this location for a few months while I waited for my new car to arrive. Niko was wonderful and always helpful even if it was crazy busy. He is the hardest working person at that location, and I hope his efforts are recognized! If I need to rent a car again, I will continue to use this location.
I’ve rented many times from enterprise and this time was just average ... representative was ok but unimpressive. The car was dirty. I didn’t feel comfortable driving it with so much dirt inside. It was a new car and clearly nobody cared enough to clean it before renting it again.
I recently had to have work done on my automobile at a local dealership and needed a rental. After having a less than optimal experience with the dealership’s service department, I was not looking forward to going through the process of renting a car. However, my concerns were completely allayed by the service and professionalism I found at this Enterprise location. The gentleman who helped me, I believe his name was Jay, went above and beyond in making the rental process as smooth as possible. He even upgraded me to a much nicer automobile than the dealership normally springs for in such situations. If my experience at this particular Enterprise location is indicative of their normal means of conducting business, then people would be foolish to go anywhere else for their rental needs. Highly recommended
Enterprise Rent-A-Car is a great company, and Im always very satisfied with the service I receive at the Tarrytown Rd., White Plains NY branch.Tom LI have written before that I love Enterprise as a company and the Tarrytown Rd., White Plains branch in particular and, based on a recent experience, I want to strongly second my own recommendation. My rental car was hit by another car and the Tarrytown Rd. staff handled the incident with unbelievable friendliness and professionalism...thus greatly reducing my anxiety (even though I was not at fault) over the matter. Friendly customer service reps. Very engaging with the renter. Its always nice to have some leniency when returning the car, but it is the customers responsibility to get the car back on time. This is my go to Enterprise even though I have one right around the corner from me.
Excellent experience. Vehicle was ready when I got there. They were opened on Sunday which worked the best with my Trip. Kyle one of the agents was extremely nice and professional. Went over all the controls to familiarize me with the rental. Easy to return.. Overall, a very good experience...and I will go there again when needed.
Worst car rental experience I’ve ever had. Drop off location was overpacked with cars when I dropped it off. Person who checked me out didn’t accurately describe car damage during initial walk around and had no idea where the after hours key drop was on property. Had to return car at my own cost to an airport location. Was billed two extra days — Enterprise’s mistake. Had to call to have $100 alternate drop off fee removed from bill. Enterprise accused me of damage to the car which was already on the car when I picked it up. Have been on the phone with them for 6 days dealing with this.
Not pleased with this location.I made a reservation for a compact car at this white plains location. Scheduled a pick up at my work. I called them hours before I needed a pick up to confirm. They said everything is set, just give them a call 15 minutes before I wanted to be picked up.I did that, then they tell me that theyre going to transfer my reservation to the one in sleepy hollow because it was closer. (It was a difference of 5 minutes. )I say okay, as long as I still get my compact car and get a pick up. I was assured I would be taken care of.So I get picked up by one of the sleepy hollow agents/intern. (I will say, the sleepy hollow agents went above and beyond.) Unfortunately, they did not have a compact car. They offered me a small pickup, the Nissan frontier. However, I want a compact. Better mpg than any pickup, and seeing as Im driving from NY to MA, Im not budging on this. So they say okay, we dont have any here, and they will drive me to Mount Kisco, which was 27 minutes away. I finally get the compact car thanks to Chris, the agent there who drove me and two other customers cause they didnt have the right cars, in His own car all the way to Mount Kisco.The drive to Mt. K. was longer than the total amount of time it shouldve taken for me to drive from work to Enterprise in white plains and then back home.Not. Pleased.But seriously, shout out to Jay and Chris at the sleepy hollow location (and I think Julie was the name of the intern that picked me up from work). Not so much to the lazy person whos name Ive unfortunately forgotten at the white plains spot.
Very Good experience very profesional, to be honest i had never experience this high level of customer service in any other enterprise/ or any other vehicle rental facility. From now on any vehicle needed we will always go to that location. Highly rec. This place to all, and the best about it is that every single employee is committed to this special service.
The service and help from the Enterprise team in White Plains NY location was first class and professional. I rent a lot of cars, and I usually prefer Enterprise because they are so easy to deal with. My last experience with them was beyond ridiculous. I rented an SUV over the week of July 4th, when we went to return it on Sunday July 7, the parking lot was packed. So fully packed people were parked on the sidewalks in lawns, literally everywhere. It was a mess. We ended up parking in the driveway of the establishment. We had just gotten married so our car was literally completely full of stuff so we called an Uber SUV and were rushing to get it loaded because it was double parked on the road as a result of the enterprise overflow. During this process, because we didnt even enter the enterprise premises we forgot to drop off the key.When we got home we immediately realized it and I called the 1800 number to fund outbwhat we should do. Tommy on the other line was extremely nice and understand doing, said it happens and the enterprise where we picked it up would likely have a spare.The next morning I had a missed called (before the store opened) and I called them back. The person on duty was SO rude, he was yelling at us that we had to get back up to Westchester (we live in downtown Manhattan) and give them the key back. I explained that we couldnt get back up there that minute because we both had to go back to work after being off a week but we could overnight it or my husband would take the train up after work to drop off the key. We explained that we would be happy to pay for a towing charge to move the vehicle out of the way.The manager tells us he will figure out what to do. WE NEVER EVEN GET A CALL BACK. I called at Noon to find out what we could do what we should do with they key. They tell us they are having a new one made and to just throw away the old one.Over a week after we finally get charged for the rental and it is double what the price for the week was. The manager at the location never bothered to call us or try to collaborate a way to resolve the issue in a more productive way. We could have sent a message, had someone meet at Grand Central to hand over the key. I am very very unimpressed with the professionalism and level of service we recieved at this location.
Whenever we travel to upstate New York or the Berkshires we take the train to White Plains and rent a car at this Enterprise. It is so much easier than to drive out of the city. Enterprise will come pick you up at the train station, and then return you there when you go back. We have done this for several years now. Their customer service has always been excellent. You get a good car, and they are less expensive here too than in the city. Highly recommended!
Ive rented from this location 2 times so far and each time have been so convenient and the staff have been soooo nice too me the last time I rented from thier I got lucky and got a brand new car I was. the First one to drive it ...I LOVE THIS LOCATION I ONLY RENT FROM HERE !!! Ive used this Enterprise four times this summer, and have always received excellent and friendly customer service. The cars have all been in great condition, and I have literally probably saved $1,000-2,000 by going here instead of renting cars in Manhattan. The free rides to and from the nearby Metro-North station are a great added bonus given all the bags were usually carrying.I highly recommend going HAM and renting the bright yellow Ford Mustang convertible. Youll receive an abundance of envious stare from onlookers, only adding to the the glory of feeling like youre in a Whitesnake music video.
The car was nice, but we feel we were cheated. We were to be charged $269.90, including taxes. However, we were told we could buy the gas for $2 a gallon in advance, which we did. The gas tank was 7/8 full so we were charged for 16 gallons, $32. We understood to mean that we would be charged at $2 a gallon for what we used. We only used 11 gallons so thought we would be charged $22. We did not realize that there were no gasoline refunds. That phrase is very lightly written so that it is barely noticeable in the box with the car damage diagram! We should have looked more closely, so we were willing to pay the extra $32 which would have totaled $301.90. However, the taxes were changed to include the extra $32, so the total came to $307.77. We feel that is unfair!
My experience with the personnel at 15 Tarrytown Rd. has been nothing short of fantastic. They are very friendly, and seem to bend over backwards to make sure you get the car you wanted. As a former sales manager, I admire the customer service they give me when Im there.
I am an avid user of Enterprise.... or, ... at least I used to be. My Experience with the branch at the White Plains location was a disaster from beginning to end. The Lobby was a disaster ( as was the care of me the ... customer!!)After requesting a standard car for over an hour, a mini van was brought out and we were told, its this or nothing!.No one took the time to understand our request, or, Need of a car, NOT a mini van.. feeling bum rushed, we accepted the mini van, only to open the doors and find remnants of submarine sandwiches and french fries left between seats and floor mats. Disgusting smells... no kidding. And? No exaggeration!Regardless, we were backed into a corner, due to time constraints at our employers schedule,We took the van, and after returning it at knoxville, Tn We are looking for a new service to accommodate our future needs.Larry Alcorn
Not the best. We had reserved a car 3 days in advance. When we come to the enterprise place they say that they don’t have it... why....they have called use 2 days before saying to Confirm and then they say they don’t have it. That’s not good service and we are asking for a BIG SUV. This had happen to us to many times... it’s annoying
I picked the car up in White Plains. It was a fast interaction. The car was parked on the street and covered with snow. They brushed it off and pulled it into the lot. The person helping me had me inspect it. As we walked around the vehicle he explain that i was nit responsible for door dings and minor scratches. I picked up a co worker and we drove to New Windsor and dropped the car within 2 hours or so and they stated the car was damaged on the rear passenger door. At no time was the car contacted or involved in any contact. It was pointed out that there was a door ding. I communicated what i was told and the person inspecting said not true. The car was dirty and the ding was under the dirt. It was dry and clear. I took this picture to submit. I then called the originating office and they told me not to worry they would call the new windsor office. Told me to disregard the damage notice sent to my home. Now i receive a threat in the mail from them about damage that never occured.Will NEVER use these liars again.
If I could give it negative stars I would. 2 nd attempt at renting a car, rules change each time. Enterprise corporate says one thing, this office says no. Dont even try to offer solutions. Staff having a good time for themselves, not remotely interested in their customer.
The service in White Plains was superb . The vehicle is exactly what I requested and personnel were competent, kind, efficient and pleasant .A sudden event occurred when I wished to return the car and they accommodated me by allowing me to keep the vehicle for another hour with no extra charge.
I dont have words to express how great the services is at this ENTERPRISE. This guys went ABOVE and BEYOND to help me find the right vehicle even though it was a last-minute rental (Family emergency).I felt i was treated not only professionally but also they made me feel they appreciate helping me.Wether youre in NYC, Westchester or anywhere nearby no dot hesitate to come by, even once.If you take the metro-north, they could arrange to pick you up, which is a great added service.
Car was filthy, they did not go over Bluetooth, daytime running lights, etcGas light came on after I left the car wash which was only a couple blocks away. When I turned the car in at another location I went to look at myself in the mirror and I realize the vanity mirror was cracked real bad. Shame on the Enterprise at this location and the people that work there.

I had a reservation and when I called for pickup they refused to honor the rice quote and gave me a price 150% higher. When I agreed out of desperation to take it but said I would protest to corporate the Ast. Manager, Joe B. became angry and refused to rent a car to me at all. He said I should not have expected a car rental place to honor a holiday reservation!

The rental portion was quite acceptable , being accused of multiple scratches and sent numerous letters concerning the same was not. I returned the vehicle to wappingers falls, did a walk around with ur people and given a recript. Two days letter here comes a fedex overnight accusing me of returning the vehicle with multiple scratches. All I can say is lots of luck with that and I call bulls hit on the accusations.
Terrible experience, the staff does not communicate well with you and just leaves you there to figure it out yourself. I spent 4 hrs here trying to get a rental and the manager did nothing to help but laugh in the back with his friends. I don’t ever give reviews but I had too with this location after my experience, will neverr go back , Went to another location and got a rental ASAP.

2022-04-12I do not recommend this location. They do not prioritize the customer and focus only on their rigid, unfounded protocols. Their Apple Pay devices were not working, and would not accept my payment. They refused to allow me to enter my card number manually, or to swipe a card for an account that I am a joint signer with my husband. I offered other forms of payment and they declined stating that their policies and risk department would not allow it. The gentleman who appeared to be the manager, but never actually introduced himself formally, stated he would not permit any alternative because he didn’t want to have his name flagged in their system and that if he permitted me to manually enter my card number, that he would end up on a conference call with the higher ups. I was not asking them to do something illegal, as I presented my photo ID, and the name on the card matched. I was simply asking to input the card numbers since they were experiencing a device failure. I was told they would not permit it under any circumstances. They left me sitting in their lobby with no ride home and no ability to get a car.

2021-09-01Ok i understand that we are in a covid era and everything is limited as far as rentals but the vehicle i got was not good for one thing brakes were not good it kept grinding when i applied brake pressure steering was vibrating at 70mph NOT GOOD AND IWAS TAKING MY DAUGHTER BACK TO COLLEGE IN BUFFALO. I was so scared please in the future get better vehicles for your customers 🙏😔. I must say the manager did find a vehicle for me i thank him and his staff. But Enterprise changes are needed of your fleet of vehicles or someone is going to have a bad Accident. Thanks.

2021-05-25If I could give ZERO stars I would! The horrific experience at this location (which lasted over 2.5 hours) was the catalyst for one of the WORST days of my life! Most of the associates were not pleasant and condescending, but the worst was the manager JASMINE! Horrible, not a people person, gave away my rental, then began to be extremely rude to me (as if I did something and was not the customer), then I waited :45 minutes for a vehicle to come from another location, only to be given a mechanically unsound car which she took to MAVIS while I waited, finally she offered to pick up a car from another location (New Rochelle), initially requested that in the middle of a pandemic that I drive with the associate. I of course said that was NOT safe, and while I waited just requested an apology for the experience, to which she basically intimated that it was ALL my fault! I voided the reservation immediately, and 2.5 hours later walked out WITHOUT a car, and two of my children stranded. THE WORST EVER! They need training!Photo is of gas tank almost on EMPTY when they tried to give me a mechanically unsound car! JUST HORRIBLE!!!AND WEEKS LATER - NO ONE HAS EVEN CONTACTED ME ABOUT THIS HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE/CONCERN!They will attempt to just take your money at this location - go somewhere else! They dont care about customer service OR customers here!

2020-09-16The absolute worst. I had made a reservation in Sleeping Hollow, NY. When I arrived for my car I had found out they had no car to give me. I was told I could take a truck. If I wanted a compact car good on gas for my trip, I would have to drive a full 30 minutes away. I did, then after checking out my car, I realized the wipers were pealing off the blade. I refused the unsafe car and accepted a vehicle, a Jetta. The car was dirty but they offered me a car wash I would have to take it myself.i did. That took another few minutes of my trip. I realized the tire light went on. I brought it back. They looked at it but couldn’t fix it . They insisted I take it and enterprise would come for me if I really had trouble. I was now really late for the start of my trip. I went to my home threw in my luggage and left. As I traveled i pulled over for stops along the way and realized the inspection sticker was expired. This ruined my trip thinking, I’m paying a lot of money for a car that couldn’t even pass inspection. Upon returning, I made sure the company knew of my dissatisfaction. I asked for Some compensation for this disappointing trip. When I pointed to the inspection sticker on the window I was told “what inspection sticker?” They were rude and did not care if the car was safe or not. Basically I’m paying for it. They had my charge card I felt robbed of my vacation.

2020-11-13I cant say enough about how awful the overall experience was. Multiple days in advance I made a reservation online. I left work early so that I can go and pick the car up before the place closed. I had to get a ride to the place which was not near my house and when I got there after being dropped off they tell me that even though you make a reservation that doesnt mean that they have a car. So now Im walking home in the rain. With all the other options out there I definitely would not recommend this one.

2020-06-25I have usually had good experience when renting from this company, but I have always rented from another location in the past in my town. It is unfortunate but I was informed that the other location will be closing because it is not doing that much business because it is a small location. So, I have to been forced to go to another location within my town. I went to the new location that’s in my town for the first time, and my experience was not all that pleasant. The associates were kind and very professional. That was probably the beat thing, but they provided me with a filthy car and had the nerve to excuse by “their hose was broken”. This location in near if not next to a dealership or a mechanic. Someone couldn’t go and borrow a hose. Or one even better, how about just buying a new one and until you get a hose, be kind and not rent out a vehicle that looks like it hit something living. 1 day prior to my rental return, this location agreed trade my vehicle for another one. Remember I mentioned that it looked like the last renter hit something living, well 4 days into my renting, there was an aroma coming from the car - particularly the trunk of something had died. It was awful. Although with the COVID-19 virus happening, Enterprise associates should take more time to look over the vehicle when it is returned and make sure that the vehicle is clean for the next customer. STOP RUSHING! I had to take the car to the car wash, that’s how filthy it was. After renting a vehicle from a franchise, a customer should not have to go wash the car because the company failed to do so. I hope that my next rental experience will be much better.

2021-03-2811/22/2020I dropped off my wifes car in one of Geicos recommended autoshop on a Saturday morning by 8AM and the rental car is not ready because they open at 9AM. Not their fault but more of GEICOs for not notifying me about that.So, I went back home and waited til clock ticked at 9am and phoned local Enterprise. I told them the situation and that I will instead drop by to pick up the SUV. When I got there I was greeted by my new buddy Perry. Like a good friend, he was really helpful and listened to what vehicle my wife prefers to drive while her car is out. She dont like the big Explorer-size SUV but the functionality of a 4x4 and spacious enough to haul 2 kids and 2 adults. Perry got us the Grand Cherokee, which though a bit on a high-mile side (26,000) it is still good vehicle. The staffs were really good in meeting the need of the customers. Would use it again in future rentals.
