This was my first time here at the new location and its a huge improvement from the old location. Basically when you walk in, you find your own table as there is no hostess to seat you, then you scan the QR code at your table and start ordering from the menu. I have to admit they have a great system ♥️ All of the servers are great! Very friendly with good knowledge. If you are looking for a place to have dinner with your family, this is the perfect place to bring them. Besides having a great selection of IPA beer, wine and food, they also have board games for the entire family to engage and feel connected 👪 there is also soda for the kids 🥤😊 If you are worried about parking, please dont, there is a huge parking lot in the rear of the building and there is spacious seating indoors and outdoors with heaters🔥 I I think you should go have have a great time with your love ones.
Ive been a few times now. It has a good atmosphere, with games outside (in nicer weather). They have some fun and interesting beers, and great BBQ!
I’ve heard good things about the BBQ here. I’d have to disagree. The ribs look beautiful. Maybe the best looking ribs i’ve ever seen. They taste terrible though. The rub and flavoring is the grossest BBQ i’ve ever tasted. It tastes like it was coated in black pepper, then marinaded in black pepper, then finished in black pepper. If you want to taste what these ribs taste like take black pepper, dump it in a bowl and then stick your tongue in it. That would be a good representation of how these ribs taste.Our table ordered fries. Those were as salty as you could possibly imagine.The ordering system is also terrible. The website tries to group you with people that may or may not be at your table. It’s super confusing and an overall bad experience. There’s also basically no service. Water doesn’t get refilled and other then delivering the food there is no service which confuses me whether you are supposed to be tipping here or not.
Great selection of beers! The pork belly sliders, Wings & French fries are delicious!! The ordering system, which is to scan your QR code on the table and then create a tab is fun! It makes it way too easy to order whatever you want quickly. I definitely recommend this place. Cheers!
It was our first time here and it was absolutely great! We cannot wait to go back. The beer and food were amazing and the customer service & ambience even better.
Stopped in for a drink after a show at the Paramount. Im not a beer drinker but I actually liked the beers they served. The chocolate cake stout was really good. The place itself has a really cool design. Will go back and recommend it to others.
Truly awesome brewery. Some of the most consistently great beers Ive ever had. Nearly all of their brews are top notch, delicious, and high ABV which is difficult to combine with great flavor. The atmosphere is cool, sticking to the science/math theme of the name. The bbq food is also stellar, not cheap wannabe bbq but actual southern style food. Couple all of this with a great staff and this is Must See for any craft beer enthusiast. Cant wait to come back soon.

I have not been there, as of today but high street bar at the Pearl, has equilibrium beer. My wife had some great wine and we also had a snack platter and meat and cheese. Staff at Pearl very friendly and knowledgeable.

Where do I start. Brisket and beer is great. My wife isn’t a beer fan what so ever. She even found something to pick up from the retail area. Customer service was great. All in all a great experience!!!! We will be back for sure🖤🖤🖤

Nice looking place. Unfortunately, you cant pay cash and the business tells you that they have no problem STEALING from you so watch your bank statements. Menu is EXTREMELY misleading. Never been to a BBQ that doesnt want you to have napkins, wipes, or silverware. Do not take garbage or empties from you table so be prepared to not have any room on your table. Will never go back. Worst experience in my 35+ years.
Beautiful brewery with delicious food and a super friendly staff. They also have wine and did I mention the food! Have to try the corn bread, its the best with their American Porter. Will be coming back soon.
Too bad they lost their soul ever since Peep my Experiment came out. The base has turned into a terrible bubble gum grossness coating the tongue. They used to be so good. Saaaaad. But saves me a lot of money these days!Unfortunately the taste has nothing to do with the unhelpful management or shipping “policy.” If the flavor was worth it, I obviously would pay any price for shipping. I have no idea what you’re referring to in regards to a false review or alternate names, but good luck! You will clearly don’t not need my help in hurting the business as you have that covered on your own. I just wanted to warn others.
Have been here numerous times. Today was awful. First of all u had to order on r phones. Several charges with each order. Crazy hard to use. Couldn’t see what was ordered Please get rid of. Even waitress got confused 😕 Food was extremely dry & microwaved ex Mac & cheese (used to be creamy & delicious) today was greasy yuck. & the brisket was so dry & soggy with bbq to cover the dryness. 2nd what’s with the fly infested grain sitting stinking in the parking lot???? Only saving grace was the beer is alway top notch. Will only be back to buy beer
Went there on a Sunday, food was great! The beer is amazing. The waiters are beyond friendly and helpful. This is a great place to enjoy good food and great beer.
Hey, East Coast brewers, does this look like a PALE to you? Cuz it looks and tastes like a HAZY PALE to me. No, they are not the same. Get your beers straight, so I dont buy and crack a beer that I already know Im not gonna like.
Very noisy and weird. The brisket sandwich was good. The ribs were brought to the table cold. The beer was slow poured and took at least 15 minutes. Not going back.
Great spot to enjoy delicious beers. I havent had the BBQ yet, but I hear its amazing. Id love to go back. Plenty of parking and the system theu have set up for can releases is great.
Visited on July 4th. Cute atmosphere, and outdoor patio. Many items on the food menu were sold out, but likely due to being a holiday weekend.
This brewery has the best beers of any craft brewery I have ever visited.
This place is really cool! A unique entertainment venue with great craft beer, delicious BBQ, outstanding customer service from super friendly staff with an ultra convenient ordering system and live music.
I already knew the beers were amazing (Fluctuation, Mass x Acceleration, etc), but the food in EQ bonfire is absolutely fantastic. Brisket is the first thing on the menu - enough said. Highly recommend the Korean BBQ on the chicken wings if you like some heat.
I like the place it very nice inside and the beer its very good they have a good variety of ipa and soon they will have food and they told me that it was going to be BBQ I will be coming back to do a video review on there ipa also forgot to mention they will give you samples of the beers to try
Favorite beers of any Hudson Valley brewery. The space is very spacious and comfortable as well. They have nice daily specials as well.App ordering system is a little defective sometimes and can easily to confusion, but the food is pretty great.Also, they have a shops where you can buy merchandise and cans of their beer. My kind of gift shop!
Literally our favorite brewery in NY. Best combo of bomb food + beers. It’s completely ruined our perception of beer because it’s that good. If you like IPAs and meat and good times, this is the place for you.
Good options for stouts and NEIPAs to go and to stay. Kitchen needs a lot of improvement as my burger was raw inside, fries were undercooked, they forgot the ketchup and we asked for it specifically. Kitchen does not have mayonnaise nor mustard but they offered 2 burgers. Kudos for a tasty brisket smoked perfectly . Lots of potential needs execution
Can order at the table without going inside, and dogs allowed on the back patio. Seats seem to be shaded during the afternoon hours…a perfect experience! Thanks Equilibrium
Would like to come back when its fully open. we were able to order beer in advance and pick them up (it was very hot and we waited in the sun for a while but who can complain when youre just in line to buy beer :) the beers were very good.
This place was amazing. Food was the best BBQ iv had in a looong time. Beer was smooth and full. The staff was great. Highly recommended.

Horrible beer and worse customer service. What’s up, NY? Finally overpopulated enough to not care about basic service? It’s not that hard, but for them it definitely is.The Coconut Almond Delight BA version is out of this world. Enough for me to edit my review. And despite less than savory encounters with management because I said their new beers tasted like bubble gum for some reason. This beer with the previous base is without a doubt my new favorite beer of all time. And I know you don’t know this but I’ve tried some beers in my time. Anyway, thank you EQ.
Arrived on Friday 12/31 NYE at 12:30 PM for lunch. 80% of the IPAs on tap were sold out, all of the in house stout bottles were sold out.. even the chili was sold out. The brisket and turkey were dry. All in all, not worth the 2.5 hour round trip.
Great beers if u like IPA and doubles. Food is great from the vegan ribs to the pulled pork.

Amazingly good IPAs. Also a fun place to drink and have food. They have great barbecue, the wibs (ribs done up like wings) are outstanding, and its just a fun venue with games available.
The beer, the vibe, and the service are all outstanding. You can order from a table via QR codes, and your tab will be kept open until you close it, which any business traveler can tell you is a rarity. Its also increasingly less common to find a craft brewery like this that will offer affordable 4 oz pours, and with so many excellent beers on tap, this is the route to go. Their IPAs are great, and their pastry stouts are top-notch. Unfortunately, the barbecue and food was a little disappointing, although the smoked turkey was very good. Perhaps I caught them on an off-day. Regardless, Im willing to try again.
Rode 2 hours to get here, sat at the bar and the kid tells me they dont have any food. Maybe in an hour or so he says. Everyone else in the place was eating. Smh.
Tried their MC2 and Fractal… both IPAs… both were heavy on the yeasty smell and taste, which overrode any hint of hoppiness that may have been intended by the brewer. Unable to finish more than 2 tastes. Sorry New York. Tried to support your brew… but no go. Back to Melvin Brewing we go.
We got the brisket and it tasted great. The beers were outstanding.
Lousy food. It is almost mind boggling that people say the barbecue is good. It was awful. Overcooked. So salty you couldn’t taste anything but salt. Burger was worse. Cornbread was tasteless but at least it wasn’t salty. Marginal service at best. Not a beer guy so can’t comment on that but they were out of a lot of things including coke lol. To many amazing restaurants in the area to bother with this place. Maybe the beer is good but they need a chef.
Brewery ambient, clean with inside and outside seating. Staff was great and great at explaining and advising about beers. Great BBQ menu, they cook it all in their huge grills and you can see them cook the brisket and pork while your sitting outside.
Have to say the food really was delicious. Atmosphere very nice too. But youre pretty much SOL if you dont drink IPAs
Energy Evolution Day! We found a cube, my sub was so excited he got to keep it. Great share, good people. Had some beautiful pours inside and the beef cheek sandwich was amazing.
I just got the brisket sandwich it come warm not hot , and the burger it’s so so so so simple for the price, and fries so salty and mushy , so expensive for that quality. Beer as always so good!

Beer is good but expensive ($12/pint).Touchless ordering was efficient, but impersonal. Food (ribs/pulled pork) were served warm (not hot), as if they were sitting out, and not cooked to order. Attractive new building. It’s OK - but not great. Manhattan prices in Middletown.
Top notch brewery, every beer is a prime example of the style represented. Food is just as good, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Outside space is kid and pup friendly, would recommend 10/10
Food was good, beer was great, service was just okay. We waited a long time for our waiter to come back each time we had to order another drink. We were there early in the day (weekday) and it wasnt crowded until around 6:00pm.
A random trip to Middletown to get close for a stay the next night in Monticello for a concert in Bethel turned out to be one of the most lucky finds ever! We recognized the brewery from their collaboration with Calusa, our favorite wintertime brewery. We really like Slack Tide in Dennis Township, NJ, Calusa in Sarasota but this place takes top honors. Best IPA selection on the East Coast. Nice indoor or outdoor seating that includes a limited but well done menu. We’ll be back!!!!
The beer was good but everything was really overpriced. Tiny tiny portions…even the beer pours were below the lines on the glasses! What gives?! I get the impression this place treats people like livestock. Never coming back… oh and did I mention they offer 15 IPA’s?? Variety?

Amazing new spot glad they finally got a place. Easily the best IPAs Ive had, juicy, smooth and delicious. Beautiful inside, nice bar, place to buy cans, and food to come! Not to mention they have an outside as well should be good times for some warm weather
Loved the outdoor seating situation, easy contactless ordering, excellent IPAs, and yummy BBQ. Special attention should be paid to the St. Louis ribs.

Nice new spot. This just opened in late December 2019. No food yet, but from talking with the staff they expect the kitchen to be ready by February or March. The old location will be used for production and this will be the tasting room. Great beers and nice environment. Friendly staff.

Shame on you, Equilibrium! First, let me begin by saying that, yes, I have indeed had your beer and have eaten at your establishment. This has nothing to do with how your food or drinks fare but instead on your thoughtless and thankless nature in dealing with the gracious help of a local rescue group in regards to a feral cat colony that had been residing on the property of your next phase of construction. While being monitored by the city and the rescue and then prompted after Phase 2 of reopening businesses to be immediately removed so that you could begin movement forward or an unfavorable fate would become of these cats, they were safely trapped and brought to a safe location to assimilate to their new home. The tactful and timely fashion that this rescue occurred in, even while in the hardest hit time of the Coronavirus pandemic, couldn’t even be acknowledged or recognized in the slightest. Upon being updated to the status of the colony being moved, the only request was for Equilibrium to perhaps make a donation for their upcoming online auction to help the rescue as they relies on grants and donations for its successful operation. What was this rescue donated you might ask? Nothing. A profitable business that can’t even give back to its community. Maybe by the time the owners of the company read this, they may have changed their minds about giving back to the Middletown, NY community, a caring animal rescue (and the cats that they so selfishly displaced). You should be ashamed of yourself, Equilibrium.

Large tap room and plenty of outdoor seating. Large variety of beers on tap, there is something for everyone! They also have canned hard cider and wine. We all loved our beer that we ordered. The food is also great, we ordered fries and their spin on poutine. Both were delicious and large portions, perfect for sharing

2022-05-16Great taproom, friendly staff, crazy 1/2 priced taps on Monday nights. Sat at the bar and sampled several of their beers. Having had a few of their beers before, I would say they are even better fresh from the taproom. Awesome spot to visit, wish I lived closer.

2022-02-17How can two sides of the same business be such complete, polar opposites? Tap room / food service = phenomenal! Friendly, helpful, accommodating. Ryan was knowledgeable and attentive for my entire visit. Top notch!Retail / bottle shop side (zero out of 5) = incompetent, inflexible and self centered. If items are not for sale don’t have PILES OF THEM them prominently displayed in the retail coolers! Will probably never return due to inept handling of simple questions at the retail counter.

2022-07-18I thoroughly enjoyed brunch, the bbq Benedict was fantastic.The bbq pork belly was a little too dry and I didn’t care to much for the bloody Ferdinand,I forgot to tell them not to spicy. My daughter got the turkey and waffles and the waffles were excellent I would go back just to get the waffles.I definitely will be going back. I’m looking forward to trying something else.

2022-04-30Love, love, love, the beer cheese and fries. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious. You can skip the mac n cheese and the pork and beans. They werent anything special. As for the beer, I had the peanut butter smores. So yummy.

2022-06-01This place is great with amazing beers, the best around the area. Their hazy and juicy IPAs abundantly satisfy your palate, and their sours are good, too. And a huge bonus: absolutely delicious food!Definitely recommend! Well be coming back again for sure.Update: been back a lot during the week for their food specials, and its been awesome. Their beers have been on point everytime with several being simply outstanding!Come and check it out.

2021-08-06What a fun place to go for dinner!! We ate inside which felt like we were eating in a giant yurt. They do have outdoor seating & you can play cornhole while you wait. I had a delicious burger with hand cut fries & my sister had chicken wings which she said were very good! Definitely will be going back here when in the area.

2021-09-19Five star environment + service, four star beer, three star bbq. Loved the cole slaw, potato salad and Mac&cheese, but the meat was pretty flavorless/dry, the cornbread was super dry/crumbly. I’ll definitely be back, just may not make it a destination for a full meal!

2022-07-08This is a beautiful place, the beers are great, burgers are awesome and more than 6oz, the staff are very knowledgeable on the beers which is a crazy selection. The only thing, I wished they had TV’s to watch games.
