We lived in TX for a number of years and my husband was craving something specific that wasn’t on the menu and he was able to make it happen and it came out so delicious! The cheese sauce is phenomenal and we will definitely be coming back to try more items on their very diverse menu!
Great Diner experience. Friendly waitress. Took my 3 year old in with her mother and didnt know what to expect. The waitress helped my daughter decide on a drink which can be a chore. Other than not apparently offering breakfast for dinner, my sandwich was great as well as perfectly cooked fries. Very good.
Nice little diner. Not fancy but very comfortable. Arrived just before noon and was handed a breakfast menu. But after 12pm I noticed others were getting lunch menus, though in fairness I did not ask if there was a lunch menu. The servers did a great job, though one of them didnt seem like they wanted to be there. A good amount of food for the price we paid that was cooked well and tasted great.
Great food, selection, quality & pricing make dining at Ernestos a Great Value! That includes breakfast, lunch or dinner. The chicken gyro is my wifes favorite, and I love the chicken kabob as well as the spinach pie, along with the Florentine Omelette for breakfast! You should definitely check them out.
Everytime we go in Ernesto comes out to speak with us. The menu he has is amazing and when we go in and he has a new dish he lets us know. I have tried just about every dish on his menu. When we ask our grandchildren where they want to go for dinner its usually always Ernestos unless they are in the mood for pizza or Chinese. We love Ernestos keep up the good work!
To start off with , went in and only one couple in there but tables at least 4 had used dirty plates on them while the waitress was sitting down on her cell phone. I ordered the cheese steak and it tasted like cardboard, if I wanted a steak -um I could of made my own at home it wasn’t a true cheese steak. I left half of it on the plate when I left. I won’t return to eat there very poor service and food not up to standard.
Chronicles of the WildmanI ride my motorcycle all around New York and I like eat at small town diners. I visited Ernestos Diner on 14 July 2018. Lets start off with the good. The dining room is nicely displayed with silverware and placemats on the tables. The wait staff is very friendly and sweet. Looking at the whole menu, the prices are small. I had 3 over easy eggs with home fries and toast. The eggs were good, but the home fries were very bland by themselves. Salt, pepper, and mixed in the egg yolks fixed it right up. Now for the other side. They lost a star in my eyes for 1 and a half reasons. The half reason was the bland home fries, but that was remedied quickly. The whole reason is there was a stack of dishes in a tub behind the bar. This looked like a dump site for the wait staff until the kitchen grabbed it to wash it. This could be remedied by taking that tables dishes straight to the kitchen and pile them on a counter there. That being said, I did enjoy my meal and I would visit again.
3 workers in the place. 2 customers TOTAL in the place, already eating. I walked in, sat down, Waited about 10 minutes before I was able to ask for a coffee. The woman walked into the kitchen and brought, which was apparently more coffee to the only 2 people in the place, but apparently forgot about me, lol. I Waited about 5 more minutes (again, there’s barely anyone in the whole place), and she passes me with no coffee again. The place was super quiet, it reminded me of a glorified library, without the books. It was comical. After 15-20 minutes of sitting there feeling weird, I decided that “Mickey D’s” was probably a better option than Ernesto’s.
Being originally from the Southwest, Arizona more accurately. Having transplanted to the east coast, has left that part of my pallet starving. Theres a taqueria in Owege, but was not to my liking. Ok, the beer was good. When Enernesto was just Ernestos, it was OK. Now that he offer Mexican, it has my attention. Been there a few times. More hits than misses. Ill keep going, digging out those gems on the menu.More later, I have a cheese enchilada dinner staring at me.
The minute we opened the door, I noticed the stale air smell coming out. I should have turned around and walked out but my husband really wanted to try something new and the poor girl working looked so excited to actually have a customer...... So we stayed. It didnt get any better.

2021-09-29We liked this place so much that we came twice for breakfast while in the area!! Ernesto was very kind and accommodating. I am from Costa Rica so many of the options were like comfort food for me. There are plenty of vegetarian options.

2022-04-19Ernesto was very friendly, and he gave us excellent service. He also has a great sense of humor! The food was delicious. The portions were very generous. My wife and I each had enough left over for another meal at home! The fried icecream and chocolate bomb were amazing desserts!!! We had a very enjoyable experience, and we highly recommend Ernestos. 😁

2022-06-19Ernestos Diner definitely gets 3 Es from me. Excellent service Excellent food Excellent portions. Not to mention great pricing. If your looking for Authentic Mexican food this is the place to go. Their fried ice-cream is out of this world as well. If you leave this place hungry then thats your fault.

2020-03-14Whats not to love? Great food, great portions, and very friendly.Spanish, Mexican, Italian, or American cuisine means when no one knows where to go or what they want, we can go to Ernestos. Its a huge selection of food whether its breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They also have a specials board just inside the door with features so changing it up even a little is a nice option. One little cooler in the dining room has glass bottles of soda and water imported from Mexico. The other cooler has desserts, some imported some made in house.I usually get the Mexican menu options and have never been disappointed. A burrito with rice and beans and a bottle of tamirind soda is a great end to a long day or a nice pick-me-up for lunch.Ernesto is a great guy running a great place.

2022-04-18Ernestos is a gem! We had the shrimp and scallops and chili rellenos, and they were delicious. Ernesto served us with such humour and friendliness, interacting with him was part of the great experience. The salsa was the best I have had in years. Who thought a small town would have such a treasure? The rice pudding and horchata did not disappoint either. Excellent quality food, perfectly seasoned, at a terrific price. What else would anyone want? Muchas gracias Ernesto and team!!

2022-02-13Stopped on a short road trip, very good food and great service. Prices are very reasonable and there’s parking. The fajitas with chorizo were great and the enchiladas with crab were super good too.
