I don’t ever leave reviews but here I am at 1:30 AM leaving a review for one of (if not the best) pasta dish I have ever had. The pasta dish had me rolling my eyes to the back of head and never wanting the experience to end. It was the handmade goat cheese, sundried tomatoes, and spinach ravioli with eggplant ragu’. If I am ever so lucky to get the recipe I would cherish it forever and pass it through my family until the end of time. I would give up my first born for that pasta dish. I don’t have kids but I would certainly have one and give it to you in exchange for the recipe. I would fly to NYC from Texas only to eat that dish. I would do a number of sketchy things for that pasta. Please don’t ever get rid of it. If you ever remove it from the menu please contact me so that I can mourn properly. Every time I visit NYC I will come here for this pasta dish.
Came in for gluten free and found tons of options, food was amazing and GF Ravioli were delicious, Bass had a crispy skin and was cooked perfectly our waiter David was wonderful full of great suggestions and has a dynamic personality. If your near the area I would highly recommend them
My wife and I went out with friends to a show and ate at etcetera etcetera. Boy am I glad we did. Perfect portions. Not too much. Not too little. Its menu is a blend of Greek and Italian cuisine. Fairly priced in a cozy setting. The service is unforgettable. David our server had a larger than life personality. It mixed well with the quiet environment you cant easily find in Midtown. Definitely a great place for a pre or post Broadway meal.
This is an excellent Italian restaurant in the heart of the theater district. Normally I stay away from touristy areas when eating, but I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was delicious and the three course prixe five at $42 was very reasonable. My grilled fish was excellent!!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Hells Kitchen. The service is impeccable and they always ask if you are going to see a show so they can assure your dining experience wont conflict with your schedule. The drinks are delicious and the food is out of this world.I get the veal ravioli every time I come here, I highly recommend.
Etcetera Etcetera was an awesome experience from the time of reservations until I walked out the door. The website does not currently allow you to reserve a table for one. I sent an email to the contact page and received a response from Anna within minutes. She was able to set up a reservation for me no problem. Upon my arrival I was welcomed in a friendly manner. My table was not quite available so I was offered a seat at the bar while in the meantime. I ordered the Etcetera Etcetera and it was delicious. The bartender was very friendly. I was seated soon after. I had the burrata for an appetizer and also bread service (focaccia I believe?). I ordered the goat cheese spinach ravioli with sun-dried tomatoes (recommended by the server). I closed out my meal with the tiramisu. The whole staff was great and you can tell they work together as a team whose top priority is to take care of the guests. Highly recommend!
Giovanni and the rest of the crew displayed excellent customer service to everyone coming in for a drink or a meal. Theyre attention to detail was impecable. Giovanni and the staff greets people with alluring smile. The people are friendly. That was my first time in the ground floor area of the restaurant. I will definitely return to have a bite and a drink at Etcétera etcétera. The owner of the restaurant was there and helping out the staff. Greeting customers and other things. Great way to be eating in your restaurant and helping out to. They seemed to be a family of loyal cool outgoing staff. Bravo!
Food not bad but perhaps reheated? Didnt seem particularly fresh. Ok cocktails.Edit: Had provided a higher rating but lowering to 2 stars because I was confronted by the owner about my review in the restaurant. If the food is fresh then great but the food was average at best so there must be some other issue.
My mom and I went here before seeing the Book of Mormon. The service was good (the host was especially friendly) and they had a lot of gluten free options, which we were grateful for! The pasta we ordered (kale and ricotta ravioli, I think?) was really good.I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because there was a busser working that made me a bit uncomfortable. He came over more times than he needed to, making prolonged eye contact and addressing me each time (and not my mom). He also made a point to come over to the table when my mom went to the bathroom and talk with me, but he didn’t actually clean anything off the table - he just folded a napkin and left, so I knew he was just looking for an excuse to come over. Idk if he was trying to flirt or what but I was definitely getting some weird vibes.
The food was good, but not great for the price. Overall the staff was nice, but wasn’t not overly friendly or welcoming. To their credit, we had a larger party, which is hard to navigate. The cocktail I had was also good, but there are definitely better places for a casual dinner in the area.
I’ve been here several times. Our “go to” place when we go to the theater. I’m celiac & the gf ravioli is so good & such a treat that I dream about it. Last time we had polenta sticks which are not in a dedicated fryer but I had one & didn’t get sick. It was deliciousLove the atmosphere!! the handicap toilet is a plus for me. Last time I went in a wheelchair & was accommodated with no problem. The highlight of the place is the waiter - I think his name is David?- He is so personable & funny & even sang me happy birthday!! We will be back next play!
I highly highly recommend this restaurant and will go back next time I visit NYC. Being gf and df due to real health issues really limits me in terms of restaurants I can trust so I chose this one carefully. Well they delivered on my expectation and more. We sat on the small sidewalk patio and the weather was perfect. So great to see Broadway theatre patrons all over! I had their blood orange cosmo and my son their signature Etcetera Etcetera cocktail. Apps: arugula salad for me (pecorino is okay due to being 100% sheep) and prosciutto for my son. Mains: Homemade gluten free pasta (tagliatelle, olive oil and vegetables & shaved pecorini) for me and skirt steak for my son. I took a to go bag of their trio of homemade sorbets (lemon, peach, and raspberry). The manager helped me decide whether the sorbet was okay and he described the full list of ingredients and he actually had read my notes on my intolerances in my Resy account (which should be routine but was a first time experience). So for a person with need for exacting criteria on ingredients and prep this was perhaps a tie for the best meal I have ever had (with a personalized chef meal made for us in Lisbon in 2012).
Jesus Christ!!! This restaurant is blessed by the Gods! Thank you so much for this incredible culinary experience. Our maitre’d Tyler was A STAR!! I loved this place. Please let me mention that the friend that I was dining with also lived in Italy around a decade as I did and my husband was born and raised in Milan
Visiting from out of town. Figured it couldnt hurt to walk in early evening and see if we could have dinner. We were quickly seated and the service was impeccable. Parties were spaced out appropriately but I still felt that good feeling of being at a restaurant with people! Food was amazing. Try the grilled octopus app and the Orecchiette.🤌🙌
I was looking for a new place in the theater district. Without recommendation, I happened to find this place online and liked the menu. They had half portions available of all the pastas and it was not crazy-expensive. Decided to give it a try. My friend and I were both VERY pleased. The waitstaff was very friendly. They served the food quickly (for the theater crowd) but did not rush us when they saw we had extra time. The food was GREAT! I had a half portion of an amazing risotto and a side order of incredible brussels sprouts. My friend was happy with her chicken Milanese. I will definitely come back & am glad I tried someplace new.
I did not know this place and I ended up going because I was in the vicinity and needed to eat. Surprised with the quality of the service and the food! Not a huge menu (which is usually what I prefer) but really good choices. They have home made gluten free pasta and offer a menu option that is really convenient. I loved it!
W were there a few days ago for dinner. Needed gluten free. Although limited selection what he ordered was very delicious. My meal also very tasty. Service excellent, staff extremely accommodating and efficient. Prices reasonable except thought $30 for plate of pasta very high it was the best!
Came here during restaurant week with my two out-of-town sisters, post-matinee. It was outstanding. Great food, reasonable prices, and stellar service. My sisters were very impressed and loved all they ordered (Artic Char for one, Grouper for the other). What a find in the theater district!! Planning on returning.
We visited for Sunday brunch and were warmly greeted upon entering. The brunch menu was short but varied. You could have braised short ribs or fish or a veggie dish. The startedcwere varied as well. I had a delicious squash soup. The main course, fish for me and short ribs for my friend, were delicious. One star off for two reasons:The Bloody Marys were lacking, but they took one off the bill. Waiter kept trying to remove my friends plate before he finished .
We just celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary at Et Cetera Et Cetera, our first time dining indoors post-COVID. We weren’t sure what to expect but this restaurant is so special to us because we had 75 guests for our wedding and we go back every year on our anniversary (as well as whenever we’re in the area). They did a great job of making us feel very comfortable. The tables were spaced well over 6 feet apart and the staff used all of the PPE and safety protocols you can think of. The doors to the outside were open to get fresh air circulating The food was as delicious as always. Highly recommend to anyone who might nervous about indoor dining. Daniele is doing a great job in trying times and makes you feel like you’re part of the family.
Went here for my anniversary and from the beginning until the very end the service was amazing and the food was delicious... the entire experience and ambiance was just on spot... loved the place and food... just great!!! Would go again and definitely will recommend to my friends!!!!
If I could give it more I would!! David was exceptional as a waiter as well as all of the other wait staff. The food was unbelievable. Gluten free ravioli and ricotta. Daughter had the tenderloin and ate everything. She rated it a 100/10. Wed say the same. Ask for David!!
We had just left Radio City Music Hall, and we were looking for a restaurant that was close to Port Authority and had gluten-free options for me. As we were walking through Times Square, my husband found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. The staff was friendly and attentive, and there are numerous gluten-free items on the menu including gluten-free pasta and ravioli. We typically dont order ravioli at restaurants because there are only a few raviolis on the plate. This order had six. Since I hadnt had ravioli in over four months, we ordered it along with tagliatelle with bolognese sauce. Both were delicious! They bring a small plate of cookies at the end of your meal, and they are not gluten-free. Overall, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the experience!
Pretty good contemporary Italian on the edge of the theater district. We had the meatballs, an appetizer salad with walnuts and pears and the lasagna. All tasted good and were just light enough that if we were to have gone to a show afterwards, we probably would not feel too heavy.
Had a birthday party for a dear friend and it was perfect. The ambiance was lovely and the food was some of the best ravioli pasta I’ve had in HK. In addition, the teams there use similar protocols as fine dining restaurants, but without the cost or pretension. I would highly recommend this Italian restaurant before a show or after drinks in HK.
I went here with a group heading off to a Broadway show after dinner, otherwise I would have known better to go to this touristy spot. For being in the Theater District, I guess Etcetera Etcetera is okay... Though not much better than an Olive Garden quality wise (with worse cocktails) and much more overpriced. This place is for tourists, dont recommend other locals going here. For tourists, if you want actually good Italian food, go elsewhere. Also, I had one of the worst stomach experiences of my life after coming here... Made for an unpleasant rest of the weekend! Stay away!
Winter Prix Fix menu was absolutely delicious. I didnt know grilled portobello mushrooms could taste so amazing! The corpse riviver 2 cocktail was delicious. Overall the food and ambiance was amazing. One note staff should refresh their dining etiquette when taking plates. It seemed as though they were too eager to get us out in order to seat other patrons.Regardless, Im definitely coming back.
Ample portions made of very fresh ingredients describe menu choices wide enough to please even the most diverse and picky group of foodies. There are plenty of healthy yet high flavor options for those trying to be good, but just as many full calorie dishes and even some classic Italian recipes. The decor is upscale yet casual enough to be comfortable with wait staff similarly described if a bit playful. Ive eaten here several times and its become my go-to place for team business dinners. If it were located in my home town there would be lines around the block. The menu prices are fairly good for such a high-end experience reflecting the Hells Kitchen location. The wine list is good but the house wines by the glass are strong enough to make bottles of wine unnecessary. The desserts and the mosaic of breads served would certainly be classified as grade A contraband on any dieters dining room table.
This restaurant is a sister of Visa Versa another fabulous Italian restaurant in HK. The food drinks atmosphere and service are all excellent. The menu is varied and has something for anyone. It also has a great event room where you can have a meal or full on party with dancing etc. Delicious and always chic, Etcetera Etcetera is a primo choice for dinner pre theater or otherwise.
ETC is one of our NYC go to places. Authentic Italian food from owner Danielli who is here every night running the ship and remembers you each time you come! Brunch is great...dinner is great and one of the things we like is that the menu changes and they have a great three course fix prix menu when with rotating specials. Also they dont skimp on the drink pours!
On a business trip and just dropped into NYC for a dinner and chose Etcetera Etcetera. Very happy with my choice. Very attentive service. Great cocktails. Im a gin fan, and it was good to try some new things. I had the Casoncelli alla bergamasca. Ill see if I can remember, but it was veal, raisin and amaretto filled ravioli with brown butter pancetta... An incredible experience I would love to repeat. I was also very shocked at how reasonable the meal was as well. I thought traveling into the city for a meal of this quality would cost twice as much.
Before theatre If you are looking for great food high quality, great value for great quality and very accommodating for Gluten allergies this is the place. the homemade tagliatelle Gluten free pasta is the best kept secret for Celiacs in NYC it yourself for half the price of del posto. The Cornish is amazing and can be made gluten free.Excellent restaurant

I was not impressed. I just expected moreOk lets talk about the overpriced fresh food you served, first the service was rushed, it looked like the waiter had way too many table which is why i think he gave me the wrong thing and second I can honestly say Ive had better italian food Im not saying it wasnt fresh but taste wise it left something to be desired
*Local Recommended*Last night’s dinner at Etcetera Etcetera was once again exceptional and memorable. Along with my guests, I was met with a mean cocktail, a new, fresh menu item that was both well executed and well prepared, a Caffè Americano, and the restaurant’s excellent dessert cookies—an experience I’ve come to rely to recoup, and meet new and old friends. As a longtime Theatre District and Hell’s Kitchen local with epicurean family roots, it’s a rare treat to discover an excellent and welcoming neighborhood restaurant or shop like Etcetera Etcetera. Amidst the mostly underwhelming but familiar chains, large restaurant groups, and “expense account” gotos in the area, Etcetera Etcetera is truly a New York gem––for both locals and those visiting. Daniele (the restaurant’s passionate and down-to-earth owner-manager), and his sharp, long-time team, lovingly and expertly lead and staff “ee” every day. Their personalities and genuine hospitality have cultivated a diverse and fun following of friendly neighbors, kind and unique travelers and visitors to New York, finance/media/non-profit/museum execs, Broadway veterans, aspiring and professional creatives/artists/musicians, and an occasion big name in pop culture, film, TV, or politics. It’s a treat for anyone of any ilk, and the only place I recommend to family and close fiends.

2022-04-06This was probably some of the best gnocchi I have had in a LONG time. They were extremely accommodating to gluten allergies for my sister. Big bonus. We came in close to their closing time and the owner was so kind to seat us anyway. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant was perfect. Our wonderful waiter suggested a chocolate pudding that was TO DIE FOR. Made the trip…the picture alone could never capture the incredible taste.

2022-02-05This is a busy lively italian restaurant with excellent service. The wine collection is decent if you like traditional Italian wines. The food was also pretty good - the waiter recommended a dish which he said turned him from a vegetarian to a carnivore - the Casoncelli (a veal ravioli) and it was excellent. All pasta was cooked all dente which is always a pleasure.

2022-07-13I went to this place for office dinner, the ambience was okay. I had prosciutto, melon, dates wrapped in pancetta for the appetizer, I found it a bit too salty and hard to chew, melons were not ripe. For the main course, I got orecchiette, italian sausage, ricotta salata which was good. Tiramisu was good too. The server mixed orders quite often. Decent experience overall.

2022-03-11My friends and I went to Etcetera Etcetera on a Thursday night a little bit after the theatre rush so we didnt have too many people. We chose this place because someone in the group had a gluten allergy and they have homemade gluten free pasta. Overall, we had an amazing experience. Of course the dishes are on the pricier side, but thats to be expected from a NYC restaurant in midtown. The waiter (I believe his name was David) was hilarious and incredibly attentive. He was an absolute blast and made the experience so much better! The drinks were really good and the desert was delicious. All in all, it was a good experience, and specifically for the gluten free people, I tried a few bites and you cannot tell that it was gluten free so it was really good pasta! Would highly recommend.

2022-05-02This place is definitely a must go to in the heart of NYC. The setting is very calming and relaxing, a contrast to the hustle and bustle outside. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and very helpful with seating and recommendations. The food and drinks are PHENOMENAL and photos do not do the Justice. Best place to get a lemon drop martini! Definitely make a reservation and give this place a visit. You will not be disappointed!!! A great gem in NYC!

2022-06-05I rented the private upstairs dining room for an after-funeral repast. More people showed up than originally planned for. The entire staff was so accommodating and attentive. It is not easy to have over 70 people descend on a place at once. Additional chairs were bought out and the buffet was constantly replenished. It was one less thing for me to worry about. My experience from my initial inquiry to the very end was smooth and tactful. The food was also delicious.
