Weve been getting almost all of our furniture at this branch of EA since 1993. Always wonderful products, service, offerings, and design. Peter B. did a great job on our latest purchase.

Ethan Allen is truly a staple of our community. The furniture is high-quality, long lasting , enduring and beautiful. Kudos to the owners for employing the same rules to their employees. Beautiful/handsome, hard working and enthusiastic. Their design teams are truly creative; no copy cats here. They work with an existing design or start from fresh.The ladies in the sewing room/curtains, I cannot praise them enough. Talented, perfectionists right to an 1/8 of an inch.Don’t waste your money at other places thinking someday I can go there, do it now. Trisha Smith is a fabulous. She packs a lot of design and impact in small and big areas.Her lighthearted approach allows her to help you design thru every stage of life.
Ive been working with Ethan Allen for a few years to furnish my home. I was looking for quality items that would stand up to wear and tear from pets and kids. Kathleen Beckett was amazing to work with!!! She helped me design my living room and made suggestions for other accent pieces in my home. The process was so enjoyable and her eye for design made selecting items easy and painless. Anyone who comes to my house comments on what nice taste and furniture I have. I am so thankful Ive been able to work with her and know I can count on her to help me out for any design needs ranging from furniture, to paint colors, or carpet selections. She truly is the best!
Its been two years and I still wake up pinching myself! People dont say it enough today. So Im going to say it. THANK YOU!!!! If I could give her 20 stars I would. Its been 2 years since we moved back into our home after a devastating fire destroyed everything in it. During the most emotional of times, we found Kathleen Beckett. She was, I believe, provided to us through divine intervention. I wake up every day, thanking God I met two people during our emotional reconstruction process. Our contractor, and Kathleen. Im convinced that without Kathleen, our home would not be the special place that it now is. Her expertise with colors is remarkable. The number of compliments we get on our furnishings is awesome! And its not just furniture. Its window treatments, blinds, carpets, accents, lamps, etc. We consider Kathleen part of our family now. She helped us when we needed help the most. And we will never, ever forget it. Do yourself a favor. If you need furniture or any home furnishings, go see Kathleen. Youll thank me later. I had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Kathleen Beckett at Ethan Allen. I had never worked with a decorator before and she made the whole process so enjoyable. She has amazing taste and a wonderful personality, She helped me create a beautiful new family room. She came up with ideas I would have never thought of on my own. Frustrated with furniture not lasting, went to Ethan Allen looking for quality. We got a lot more than that as Kathleen Beckett came to our home with samples and shared her amazing eye. She made easy inexpensive suggestions about picture heights, plant placement, knob finishes in addition to coaxing us out of our “everything must match and be symmetrical” mindset. Our family room is now SO cozy and pleasing to the eye. Kathleen comes highly recommended! Ask for her!!!!

Outstanding experience at Ethan Allen! I had a vision of what I wanted my room to say and designer Michael Michalski brought my vision to life. His knowledge on textures and piece selection and overall aesthetics was superb. Michael was extremely professional and kind. I would recommend without reservation his designer expertise. I was incredibly impressed with the craftsmanship of all the furniture pieces I chose, that is no surprise purchasing from Ethan Allen.
This was my first experience with Ethan Allen. I came into the store to select bedroom furniture and Peter Balistreri was my Design Consultant. He spent time showing me different sets and asking questions about my style, colors and size of pieces. He made me feel so comfortable and was very easy to talk to. I really loved a beautiful set that he had suggested, but I hadnt really looked anywhere else. I told him I wanted to look around and if I decide to take the set I would call him. I felt no pressure from Peter which was refreshing. After looking at several other stores and lots of websites I called Peter to let him know I wanted the set. He had offered to come to our home to help with some other details for the bedroom. He was so helpful and had many good insights as to what the room still needs. Peter felt like an old friend and his expertise and eye for detail was much appreciated! He will be our go to guy when we furnish our other rooms and I strongly recommend him to anyone looking for design ideas. Thanks so much Peter!
I bought my first Ethan Allen Furniture in 1992, a dinning room set. Having experienced the quality of their furniture for 23 years I went back to them in 2016 and met Kathleen Beckett. She has a wonderful personality and made me feel very comfortable right away that we would work well together. She has a great eye for color and knows how to put furniture together that really showcases your rooms. Over the past 4 years she has helped me decorate my living room, master bedroom and kitchen. She has you sit on your furniture and points out what styles and size work best for your size and fit. She comes to your house and gets a feel for not only the space but also talks to you about your likes and dislikes. I have been so pleased with each room we did. If you are looking for someone who can turn your drab house into a show piece ask for Kathleen Beckett!
We worked with designer Kathleen B. She was awesome through the whole process! Showing us so many beautiful options. We finally were able to make a choice, although it was tough. We love it! Its even more beautiful than I remember. The product is solid and material top-notch. Cannot wait for the chair! There are certain things you cant compromise on! Furniture is one thing! We used Ethan Allen 15 years ago for decorating our first home. We were extremely happy with the quality and style of the furniture. I hadnt shopped at Ethan Allen in several years. I was extremely satisfied with my experience! Julia was extremely helpful and even came to our house. I had looked at several other places in the area and could not find anything I really liked anywhere else. I am excited about what we chose to update our family room. The prices were not very different than at other stores, yet the items are completely customized to our taste. In fact, the couch and loveseat cost about the same as when I last bought them 12 years ago. Thank you!

Peter, my swivel chairs arrived today and they are gorgeous! You did an amazing job with the design, Peter! Also received the gold (Toms) pillows. I am so excited, as it was a true surprise to receive the chairs earlier than expected. The two gentlemen that delivered the chairs (Anton and Anthony) were so very nice, professional and delightful to work with. This is the 3rd time I’ve bought furniture from them and I am not disappointed, Micheal did a great job designing the room and picking up pieces that worked with the existing furniture, everything goes so well together now and I love my new layout!! The guys who moved the furniture were great also. Very patient and making sure I was happy with everything as it was placed before they left!
My husband and I recently purchased furniture from Ethan Allen. We purchased 2 sofas and pillows for our living room. They are beautiful and the quality of all of our Ethan Allen furniture pieces are amazing. For this purchase we worked with Kathleen Beckett and she was terrific. Our living room needed an update and Kathleen made great suggestions, helped us pick out our sofas, and colors and rearranged our living room using many of our current pieces so we stayed within our budget. I recently went to Ethan Allen to look at purchasing a new couch, and I truly felt welcome with everyone at this location. A friendly hello at the door, was followed by a very knowledgeable associate by the name of Christine. She helped me look at different options of couches and even took things apart for me to see the insides. After she spent some time with me, I set up an in home meeting for Ethan Allen to come into my home and help me with this purchase. Nikki came to my home, she was so friendly, and chatted with me about what I was looking for. She took measurements and made sure I was leading her in the right direction. She invited us back into the store and gave us different options for our room on a large screen. She was so helpful, and made me feel so comfortable, and her recommendation was spot on.We ended up leaving with not only a couch, but a chair too! From start to finish, our experience at Ethan Allen was wonderful. Using a few inspo pictures, Michael created a dining room that was even better than what I envisioned. The quality and detail in the pieces we ordered are really second to none. We are absolutely thrilled with our new dining room and I cant wait to let them help us redesign another room in our home.
What a great experience we had here. First, during these times, we felt completely safe shopping in person. Everyone was respectful of social distance, wore masks, etc. And, Peter Balistreri was terrific in helping us in deciding what we wanted in our living room. It is not an easy space, but his in-person visit, his willingness to work with some of the furniture and accessories we already had and his understanding of both our taste and vision for what we wanted, resulted in a stunning living room. When you’ve lived in a 100 year old house in the city for over 30 years, and your décor is old and feels boring, what are your next steps? What if you want to stay in your house because you’ve raised your family there and you don’t want to leave your cherished memories? You re-decorate!This is one of the last ways in which we like to spend our limited free time. So, we decided to work with a professional—Kathleen Beckett at Ethan Allen. Good decision!Kathleen listened to understand our vision and our budget. She has an excellent eye for interior deign and asked permission to recommend ideas “outside the box.” Energetic and committed to meeting our needs, Kathleen would work as fast as we needed and slowed the pace when our work and travel schedules delayed decision making. Always on time, Kathleen confirmed every appointment the day before, and promptly responded to all text questions and messages.The Ethan Allen installation teams are total professionals as well. Before the interior design was finalized, they conducted an on-site assessment to note the elevation access from the street, and they measured staircase spaces for tight turns needed to carry large furniture pieces to upper floors of the house. On installation days, they were on time, removed their shoes while walking in our house, cleaned up after installation, and removed debris.Done and Done! This process was so easy and satisfying that we are now decorating another room. And yes, we are partnering with Kathleen at Ethan Allen!
Kathleen Beckett is an extremely talented designer who is amazing to work with. We needed help updating our family room and living room spaces.Kathleen suggested creative ideas for rearranging some of our current pieces and adding new pieces to update the look. A fantastic experience working with them. Nikki Wolfe helped me design and select pieces. Nikki combines vast design knowledge with a pleasant demeanor. She executed her job with excellence. Nikki quickly understood my style and recommended just the right design. Her ability to listen is extraordinary, she bridges the gap between desires and reality by helping clients recognize the difference between needs and what is possible (with the constraints of space and budget). I went to Ethan Allen assuming I was going to buy another sofa from a different retailer, but wanted to see what they had. I had browsed on line and asked Kathleen Beckett to see those pieces, but on our way another piece caught my eye. The Emerson sofa was comfortable, had the clean lines I was looking for, and was the right size for a short person to sit on without my legs dangling, yet has enough room to curl up on. Kathleen showed me what I had come in to see, a few other options, and then we went back to the Emerson. She helped me select through fabrics, but ultimately the one on the floor model was exactly what I had been picturing in my head for well over a year. Im in the final phases of some remodeling to my 1950s built ranch, and trying to bring a little modern to mid century, having a little bit of a formal look while still being comfortable for every day. Kathleen understood my vision, the color scheme i was looking to bring in for the larger pieces. I may have spent a little more than I was originally thinking, but I know I invested in a piece of furniture that I will want to live with for a long time. Thank you, Kathleen!

We loved our Bennett sectional so much that we purchased a second one for our family room. I am writing this review to share my gratitude for the joy that my experience in redecorating my family room space has brought to me. The result is so much more than I ever expected-but the process is what I most appreciate. I have known your sales associate, Kathleen Beckett, for a number of years before she came to work at Ethan Allen. Back then, she helped me design my living room, dining room, two bedrooms and a garden. When she joined the Ethan Allen staff I thought I would not be able to use her expertise any longer because Ethan Allen would be out of my price range. Kathleen quickly showed me how I, too, could have E.A. quality and her amazing design advice to make this space something special. How right she was! Kathleen is a delight to work with. She is attuned to her clients wishes, concern, tastes and budgets. She brings a genuine enthusiasm and joy to her work. Indeed, her excitement for a special piece or a certain look often outshines my own-and that is infectious! Her warm personality brings a comfort to a process that for me would ordinarily be an ordeal. When I have questions or concerns, she listens closely and gently solves each issue. When I have doubts she is there to reassure me. When I am overwhelmed, she is organized and talented with an impeccable eye to style, color and function. I wouldnt have wanted to attempt this project with anyone else. Kathleen brought laughter and delight into the entire process-going far beyond her job description. I now have a beautiful, classy, designed space where once there was a mishmash of castoff pieces with no cohesion. Congratulations to Ethan Allen on having such a passionate, amazing staff member! She is a gem and you are fortunate to have her as the face of your business. She does you proud!
Talk to Peter Balistreri!!I have worked with him a few times now. He has come to house to help us pick the products. I always have trouble deciding. He makes sure the placement works. He makes the colors work, he has gotten us excellent pricing and the rest of their staff makes delivery and fixes very easy!
Peter was sensational....We wanted to rely on another opinion regarding color schemes and furniture styles. He came to our home to get a feel for what we wanted and was very helpful making our new living room compatible with the rest of our décor. We are extremely well satisfied with his service.
I have worked with Trish Smith a designer at Ethan Allen for over 20 years on three different house projects. She is an excellent designer with many years of experience. Ethan Allen has a wide range of furniture, and accessories and I have been very pleased with the quality and service received from the Amherst store.
I had a wonderful experience working with Michael. Not only was he patient with me, he listened and offered creative solutions for me to consider. I will certainly be back for more furniture or decor. In the meantime, I’m so excited to see our kitchen table and chairs (and barstools!) come to life!
High quality furniture with high quality staff. Have always been a big fan of Ethan Allen and have never been disappointed. My designer Julia Schuler picked out absolutely stunning pieces for my apartment and made the selection process so incredibly easy. The movers were also top notch and very friendly. When a small problem came up on moving day, Julia drove all the way down to my place in downtown buffalo to sort it out. I can’t say enough good things about this location. Ethan Allen is a fantastic investment for beautiful furniture pieces with the help and service to match it!
Kathleen Beckett was a real asset when it came to our recent remodeling project! My wife was overwhelmed with all the decisions she had to make, hoping that everything in our remodeling would match an existing room. Kathleen was able to see the big picture and help everything come together, styles, colors and making the very most of our space. She definitely went above and beyond, continually sending pictures to my wife of different things she felt would go well in our rooms. Kathleen made herself available to answer any of my wifes many questions and provided advice on even OTHER areas of our home. This woman CLEARLY loves her job and wants to do everything she can so that her customers love their homes! We highly recommend her services to others! You wont be disappointed!

Kathleen O’Malley-Becket was fabulous to work with. She has a keen eye for color and design. We furnished a new media room with her guidance and are very pleased with the results. This is the fourth room we have designed and furnished with Ethan Allen and have found that their quality products have been consistent over the years. Kathleen did an amazing job remotely decorating our home in Florida. Using just the floor plan and pictures of the spaces she designed a stunning yet comfortably livable look. She discussed our vision, produced a 3D coordinated multi-room plan and arranged for delivery from the local Florida warehouse. We love the timeless elegant coastal look she professionally designed for us.

We have been working with Lori from Ethan Allen for the past 6 years. She really has helped bring our home together. We started in our kitchen with table, chairs, accent pieces and it continued from there. We just moved into our new home and she continued working with us and has helped us make our home beautifully styled. I always tell the story about my old neighbors, and upon walking into their home, I noticed their beautiful furniture. They told me it was from Ethan Allen. It was then and there that I realized it doesn’t matter how tall the ceilings are, or how big the windows are - it was the furniture that really caught my eye. Lori is easy to work with and is talented at styling your interiors to get the right look!
On this shopping experience at Buffalos Ethan Allen, we dealt with Kathleen Beckett. Compared to other sales staff at this store, she made suggestions and helpful pointers which I have not found to be the case with other sales staff at this store I have dealt with who seem to be more interested in making the sale and then disappearing. I would work with Kathleen again.
Samantha listened to what I was looking for and brought out the wood samples that we weren’t aware of but were what I was looking for. Even though she was younger and relatively new in her position, she was knowledgeable about the product lines, efficient and helpful during the transaction.
Met Karen at an Ethan Allen event and we got to talking and ended up in the store to see our options to re-do our living room. Karen did a floor plan, picked out coffee table and end tables, fabric- even paint color for our walls!We ended up with a really wonderful updated and comfortable look that matched our style.Working with a designer can be overwhelming - if you are the type that cant visualize. But that is what they do. The results were amazing!
We worked with Nikki and she was truly wonderful. Great ideas, very patient, very down to earth. We were very comfortable working with her, never ever any pressure. Highly recommend you ask for her! We can’t wait to get all our items- they will take a few months but with COVID we totally understand. We also know it will be worth the wait!!
Ethan Allens product is top notch, but their service is really a cut above the rest. They, unlike other high-end furniture providers invest in maintaining their own delivery team. What a difference. I have had a couple of occasions where the other companies contract delivery people have damaged the products just bringing the stuff in your house. Not with the Ethan Allan team. They were amazing. And, I really love my new deco style bar..........heirloom quality.
My wife and I have had the pleasure of working with Michael & Barbara. They are both professional and hit our style right at the get go! The value of their furniture along with their EXCEPTIONAL design service if the best around. Don’t wast your time at the other “out of the box” furniture stores.

Walked in to Ethan Allen after viewing some bedroom furniture online. It was such a bonus to visit the actual store to feel the tangible pieces to know if I was going to love it or not. I’m so fortunate to have a brick & mortar store of high-quality craftsmanship in my backyard. There’s no better way to shop! Worth every invested penny because I love my new baby Disney line set. Very friendly and helpful! I called the store after trying to purchase my item online, and then getting absolutely nowhere with the 800 number. I tried calling the local store and boom. My order took minutes, the service was helpful and efficient. Plus I didn’t know the store was owned locally so my money went to locals as opposed to the website! So glad my online order didn’t go through

We’ve been loyal and repeat customers to Ethan Allen for over 20 years. our design coordinator, Mena , has been delightful to work with. We purchased a new house and spent time with Mena in her show room, and back at the house to confirm our thoughts on new furniture, and then to the design room to put on the final touches. Mena even showed up on delivery days to confirm everything is as we had planned.

2022-04-23I highly recommend Ethan Allen Furniture. I bought a beautiful dining room set. Had great advice from their designer. Two of the chairs had nicks in them and they immediately took them back and reordered new ones. Worth the price: Excellent customer service and outstanding quality.

Peter has been the most attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful contact imaginable. His eye for design is amazing and I am so thrilled with the new additions he suggested for my living room and office. 2022-05-27Ethan Allen lived up to its reputation of having a wide variety of quality products in an array of styles. I was very pleased with the selections offered, but I definitely needed the help of a designer to navigate the multitude of options presented. Peter Balistreri, an excellent and experienced design consultant at Ethan Allen, guided me through the process expertly and with great patience. He came to my home for room measurements and familiarized himself with my tastes and desires for a fully redecorated living room. He made an effort to understand my lifestyle and then effectively incorporated these ideas into a design plan. At the store, he showed me styles of sofas and chairs with full explanations of advantages of certain features over others. Because of Peter, I was able to make fully informed choices which included furniture, drapery, rugs, and art work. He did everything he could to make my experience enjoyable and satisfying. He also assured me that he would keep me updated on the status of my order as well as assist me with placement of the products when they arrive. I could not ask for more. I highly recommend his services.

2022-08-16I was looking to purchase my dining table, chairs and island chairs. I had been shopping online and in different furniture stores and had no idea what to purchase. In fact, the more I shopped, the more confused I became. That was until I met with Peter from Ethan Allen. In a short amount of time, I had everything picked out. He immediately figured out the style I was looking for and helped me to pick out the perfect furniture for the kitchen I am remodeling. I am usually such an indecisive person but was very confident with my selection when I left the store. Not only was picking my furniture so fun and easy with Peter, I felt such a connection with him. He even made me feel so comfortable asking his advice on picking out my floors, backsplash, and counters. Peter truly wants me to have my dream kitchen. I will always see Pater for any future purchases for my house. For something that was so challenging for me, Peter made it such an enjoyable and exciting experience. 2022-05-12Almost anyone can sell furniture, but not everyone who sells is a humanitarian: that describes the warmth of James Balistreri.He noticed that my wife was moving very slowly. She has difficulty walking, sitting, and rising from her seating, to which he paid very particular attention. The cushions upon which she will be sitting will have been given the most sincere and dearest consideration.He even visited our home to see how we live, the artistry of the rooms so well furnished and designed by my wife. He studied the colors, the combinations, and how his suggestions for fabrics would complement, as well as, add to the artistry already in evidence. He came to observe, which lead ultimately to his coming to know the Carters, not only as clients, but as people.He said, I think this fabric will complement what you already have, and we brooked no offense, because his assessment of the Carters was more than correct. In James, one has the artists, his having served in this capacity for the past 30 years, and one has the humanitarian who has lived a rich life of understanding people, and for which one likes to think that he or she has just met a new and very dear friend; and yes, we will be shopping at Ethan Allens again.

2022-03-02From start to finish, the process was flawless.Actually got to see the sofa I was ordering in the showroom, and it didnt disappoint! Quality product through and through, and delivered earlier than anticipated! Definitely would recommend. Charlene at the Amherst store was great, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable...The showroom is incredible with outlandish number of choices in fabrics and styles
