Always a great experience. The employees are all super sweet, the place is always clean and they are always prompt.
Love how easy it is to make an appointment and never a long wait time. Always less than 5 minutes. Rahki is my go to. She always does an excellent job
I made an appointment on the app with jolene. I called before to make sure she didnt have any issues with doing a triangle. The receptionist said I was in good hands and that all their specialist are trained to do everything.The receptionist was rude when I walked in. She was already on the phone mumbling, but expected me to know I was being addressed. Attitude for no reason.Jolene was really nice. I asked for a triangle and she took everything off instead. Which grosses me out.Even though she apologized several times, it doesn’t change the fact that now I look like an infant. Then she jokes, now you can start fresh. Is that what I asked for? Who said anything about a fresh start?This has never happened to me. I just went through extra pain because you couldn’t follow a simple task. I get home to find patches of hair everywhere.NEVER coming here again, and definitely not seeing that specialist. If you decide to go anyways, be sure to specify several times what you want done. And make sure all the hair is gone before leaving. I was too angry to really check, I just wanted to get out of there.
Went to get my first wax ever over there. Everyone was very kind and the place was really well maintained. Ms. Karina was very helpful, considerate and very informative which made me a lot less nervous than I was. Everything was done really really well and I’m very little time. You won’t regret going there!
The service of the lady that did my waxing was good. The only reason I’m giving it 3 starts and not 5 is because the service of making an appointment and talking about the prices was terrible. First the receptionist told my friend that her appointment is at 12:30pm and when we got there it was actually at 1:30pm, that was their first mistake. What they did to me is the fact that I called and I asked the prices for waxing underneath my arm and for waxing my arms. She told me it would be 47$ all together. When I got there I was willing to pay before I would go in and the receptionist told me I can’t do that. When I got out and it was time to pay the receptionist told me that she made a mistake and I had to pay more. I asked her what if I actually didn’t have the money to pay that amount ? She basically gave me an expression saying I don’t care. Not all people will come with extra money in their pockets, maybe some of them can only afford the price that was told and maybe the tip. I was lucky I had my friend with me to help me pay the 80$ I was charged. I knew I was going to be charged 47 and not 80. That’s not how you do business. It’s not my fault that she made that mistake and I shouldn’t be the one paying for it. I’m very unhappy and I don’t think I will ever go back there in fear that they are not going to be fair again.
I started going to European Wax just a few months ago and Im very happy with my results. Antonia is our go-to girl in our house. Shes great at her job and gets to know all her clients and makes great conversation (which helps when youre waxing and dreading the pulls lol)Definitely recommend!

Tried them for the first time today. I used to go to $8 eyebrow waxing places and tried EWC even though it’s 3x price. I couldn’t be happier- well worth it. Super clean, professional and the wax doesn’t hurt. They did exactly as I asked. Highly recommend.***Editing my review.***** During my 2nd visit, I was shocked the customer service experience at the reception desk was poor. Considering I found them professional my first time, the fact that mgmt doesnt empower the desk to do the right thing, and will lose customers worth thousands over a lifetime (since prices are min $20 for any service), is really sad. I expected more and quite frankly you need a lesson from Amazon (do whats right for the customer and they will come back)!
This was my second wax ever. Its been awhile since i even shaved so it was a jungle. I felt my soul leave my body. I wish i known before hand to maybe trim it a little. However i wil be back love the results. Mirian was quick and very pleasant. She was knowledgeable and very eperienced. Thanks girl!
The girl I get does an awesome job. Shes super nice and does a great job. Shes very comforting! I wouldnt trade her in for anyone else. The front desk staff is also very warm and polite. I like this place a lot.
Very friendly service Front desk and Staff who provide waxing. Impressive!, Just a little bit awkward for me that she stay in the room while I took my bottom part off but its so minor because she gonna see it anyway.The wax is a hard wax, you will feel warm to a bit hot. She will keep asking to make sure that its not going to be too hot.I like that the place is professional, clean and really professional service and keep the details, No hair left at all. The staff also pay attention if you will feel pain and give you a little break, no rush waxing which help me more relax and literally less pain. Love this place :)

This review should have been posted ages ago. I am specifically here to praise Kat!I have been going to various EWCs across NYC for many years now. I have not had a waxer like Kat. She makes an otherwise semi-awkward, totally painful, unpleasant experience the exact opposite. She is thorough and detail-oriented. She also provides excellent, helpful education regarding skin care and ingrown treatments. Because of her work, I chose to invest in my first wax package.This Astoria office is always clean and the front desk girls are friendly!
Loved it. I had a wonderful experience though the staff could be a bit friendly they r very professional and good at their job. As it was my first time I also got a huge discount. Will book my follow up appointment soon.
Dont go here! I was a loyal customer that went to get services regularly and decided to purchase the serum. After using the serum for 5 days it gave me a horrible rash. I requested a refund because of the incident and the owner refused to do so. She was rude and had a horrible attitude. Definitely would NOT recommend this place.
Rakhi is the most professional person, I’ve ever met in this kind of industry. The Center is full of courtesy and people willing to satisfy your concerns and expectations. If I have to describe with one word, the way Rakhi operates, I will say “ Precise”. She is very accurate and attentive, and she’s able to put you at your ease. I highly recommend this location to all my friends, male and female. The staff at the desk and Rakhi are definitely above and beyond. Definitely the place where to go for the perfect wax.Robin
I started going to Gloria at EWC Astoria after a horrific experience at my old salon that landed me in the hospital. This place is as good as it gets! I am usually in and out for a Brazilian in 15 minutes or less. Its more expensive than Id like, but it is clean, less painful, and they have great deals for first-timers or those who buy waxes in bulk. Not usually a fan of places that hawk products, but I did buy their serum once and it does a great job.
Not very accommodating...very wishy washy on appointment times make excuses they busy but no one in their waiting room or treatment rooms.
I read a review about the owner but that is not a reflection on the girls who work front desk or the girls providing the service.. I have been going here for a long time and honestly I wish I found it before.. Rakhi is amazing, she is professional, friendly and fast 💨
#1 the girl did not use any baby powder what so ever even though I put it in the notes that it helps me and Im very sensitive.#2 she missed the areas, which after 2 years of doing Brazilians at EWC they have never done. To add to this I called and asked if I could get a touch up and she gave me a hard ass time saying theyd have to charge me for extra area. That makes no sense at all. Its an inch, not even. Seriously. Dumb.#3 No bedside manner. It was quite awkward.Everytime I go to the wax center on Steinway they just never seem to be up to par with the girls at University Place in the city.This is the last time I ever visit the Steinway location. So disappointing.
Rakhi is the best. She is so professional and always take care of me. I deffenilly recommended her. Also the service at the front desk is exellent. 100% customer service.

2022-06-30It’s my first time here and it’s been awhile since I got Brazilian wax. I can’t remember who was my wax specialist maybe it was Giannina. She was really nice and the sessions is quick and painless. I would definitely comeback. By the way, They offer 50% discount for first timer so it’s all worth it. I highly recommend getting wax here

2022-03-05I honestly love getting waxed, now. At first, I wasn’t 100 % sure about taking the leap of faith. To go from shaving to waxing but it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. European Wax Center made it a more then smooth transition. Thank you to the great staff at Astoria ! Love y’all ♥️

2022-04-08I recently moved to the area and decided to try this location out. Before scheduling my appointment I decided to book with Alexzandra based on the reviews that I saw here. Alexzandra made my experience very comfortable and easy. She’s very knowledgeable and nice. My experience was amazing! Reception was great and very helpful as well! I will be going back!

2022-06-08I’ve been going to a lady named AlexZandra that works at this steinway location for some time now & let me tell y’all, she is the bestttttt! Very good communication, makes you comfortable, on time, just overall amazing. As for the entire location they’re also amazing. Probably one of the best locations i’ve been to.

2022-01-28Went in for a Brazilian Wax for my very first time, which was done by Zandra. She was absolutely amazing. Very sweet and welcoming, made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease. The wax was quick and painless. Highly recommend.

2021-07-25It was amazing got my first Brazilian done here it was quick easy and they make you feel very comfortable. Sandra did my wax and she did an amazing job so much easier than when I waxed my legs by myself. Definitely recommend.
