If youre looking to stay in Midtown, I highly recommend this place. Its not too far from Times Square. The rooms were clean, and the staff are friendly. The only critique I have is that the room I was in had multiple scratches and dents in the wall. Right now with COVID, housekeeping services are available by request only. I would definitely stay here again.
What a great place. Excellent staff, provided all extras on request like tea, water bottles etc. Well maintained spaces and larger room then I figured for mid Manhattan. Kids had the pull out couch space separated well. Jaime at the door is lovely. Great location for shopping and getting on different subways. Enjoyed Macys around the corner. Reasonably priced too. Great bagel place next door for breakfast
Enjoyed our stay! Very spacious rooms considering this hotel is in a very prime location in NYC. Great and friendly staff. We paid for hotel parking prior to our stay. No Valet is offered, and the parking garage is located approx 1-2 min walk down the street. Not the best if youre a heavy packer. At the garage (Meyers) valet service is offered.
Terribly disappointed with this hotel. Great location however, the suite was dark and dingy. We were allocated an internal facing room with no natural sunlight and overlooks an ugly alley. When asked about the view, we were told that those are the only rooms that accomodate more than 2 occupant (there is no mention of this on their site). Additionally, the sleeper couch was dirty and stained and staff were not accommodating and did not address issues despite being notified. Based on my experience, I would steer away from this hotel.
This hotel is not what we were expecting. First, when we arrived, our spare bed (we had booked a suite for 4 people) was not made at all and when we called to have someone make it and bring sheets and pillows, they first answered by telling us that there was no problem, being kinda rude to us. Then, our bed was dirty. When we transformed the sofa into a bed we noticed some used masks under it and there were a also a lot of hairs on the bed. The other weird thing is that when a woman came to make the bed, she did not put a new sheet on the dirty bed, she just added a quilt WITHOUT THE QUILT COVER which was even more unhygienic. The floor was also not really clean as we could see dirt on the carpet. Then, the other major problem was with the bathroom.Don’t ask me why but they gave us a room for disabled people so we had all the equipments going with it. So our bathtub was actually really weird because the water was coming from the shower head and the tap at the same time and we could not make the water stop running on the tap. It’s such a shame to loose that much water at every shower that we took since all of the water was going directly on our feet. Also, we were four in the room and every single day, they only gave us two towels and we would have to ask for more which was really annoying since the people working at the reception were not really nice. And talking about the employees not working as they should, the doorman was most of the time just watching us struggling to open the door and coming to close it when it would be too late. Finally, the hotel is advertised with a rooftop but we searched for it and couldn’t find anything so don’t come here for the view. (Ps : we also had troubles with our door not opening/closing properly and with both our tvs not turning on)
Staff staff staff are the best! Yasir is a great hotel manager, Nicole is a great hotel receptionist and was so kind.Jamie is an excellent concierge.Hotel is very good especially the room sizes if you take a suite but normal rooms are a bit small.Location is super perfect if u want to be around Times Square and 5th Avenue
Weve got a handicapped bedroom, which wasnt exactly a problem. Because of the accessibility, the shower curtain was small (wasnt touching the floor, or the wall, so we flooded the bathroom in every shower. Also, they told us the bed was queen size, and for sure it was a double bed.On the first day, we got torn towels. After one day, they only put one new towel (we were in 2 in the bedroom). On the last day, a torn towel again.Great location and good customer service, but it was a bad bedroom considering the price.
If I could give zero stars, I would! This hotel bed was absolutely abysmal! It gave literally nothing. The bed and pillows were just so soft and not in a good way. We only slept there for 2 nights and ruined our neck, shoulders and back. We paid for a view and the view gave us the back of a random building. Everything was cramped and we couldn’t even relax for our vacation. This should be one of the best experiences of a vacation but the only thing we were looking forward to was knowing we could go home to our beds
Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your place. This web site will compare hundreds of booking websites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is one of the highest rated in this area. I have been staying here for years. If you stay for a few days you definitely wont be let down.Weve stayed here numerous times and have always had a wonderful stay. When youre staying in NYC its all about location, location, location. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly, and the hotel is quiet at night.Im there to see the city - not stay inside my room. However, we usually do upgrade to a suite to have a little bit more room than what the standard room offers. At any rate- you cant beat this boutique hotel. We used to stay at another hotel and after finding this gem - were never going back. Its right across from Macys and one of the largest subway connections is literally on this same block. This area used to be the Theater district back when John Wilkes Booth was an actor there. How do I know? Just go to Keens steakhouse and eat there. After diner ask to see the whole restaurant and itd history. Keens is on the same street as Le Soleil.Hands down - this is a wonderful hotel.
Amazing stay with Executive Hotel, Jamie was amazing from the moment you walk in until you leave he makes sure everything you need is provided. Me and my fiancee checked in early, everyone made sure while we waited our bags were stored properly so we could tour the city and even accommodated us with a 1pm check-in. Everytime we left everyone was pleasant and kind, and the Trandmak restaurant attached to he hotel was awesome, it did not feel like a hotel restaurant at all. Please stay here when in Manhattan or surrounding area.in
Economic hotel walking distance from Times Square. The rooms are compact but clean and comfy, restrooms are spacious. Similar to most hotels you will find in NYC. The folks at the reception can be a bit more polite/accommodating. They dont have on-site or valet parking. Many off-site paid parking options are available. I would recommend nearby Myers parking which provides overnight parking for 55$. Its safe and only 5 mins walk from the hotel.
Very surprise and disappointed. It took us 2h to check in, because we were not advised that the hotel doesn’t accept PayPal or any virtual cards. It doesn’t accept cash either. We wanted to cancel our reservation because we would have had a huge amount of exchange rate fee and service fee from our home banks. The manager was unreachable, so the staff would not cancel. We were told the hotel policy on payments as if it’s the clients responsibility to triple check if the information is correct or to search for information not included on our reservation confirmation email. On our email confirming our reservation, it’s clearly written that cash is accepted for security deposit. We wanted to try various hotel, and that’s the 3rd one. We had no problem whatsoever in the previous 2. Our PayPal and virtual cards were accepted. We were excepting a certain standard for a 4 stars hotel. Clearly we were expecting too much.Another thing, we chose a 28m2 room (300 sq ft), the dimension is clearly stated on our reservation email, but we were given a 23m2. We take time to chose room and pay accordingly, and obviously we should have know it would be too much to expect to have the correct room.We have the money to pay but the hotel did not have the equipment to accept our payments and nowhere was it written that they accept specific methods of payments. The staff was ready to let us without a hotel at night and without any form of refund.Message to the manager : upgrade your technologies, especially with the rise of virtual banks it’s archaic to expect every international tourists to use traditional bank cards, which often have service fees and we don’t have those pb with virtual ones.
Friendly staff. We walked with our food. When asked if any rooms had microwaves we were told no. Further more we were told all microwaves had been removed from the building. Later found out some rooms do have microwaves. Cold Chinese food is not my favorite. Hotel has a restaurant, and held our luggage after we checked out until our flight time (thank you).
Wish I could give it zero stars. Sleazy hotel. You are warned. They do not honor their bookings and will lie to you to make you think youre in the right room Booked the empire suite and was placed in an entirely different small room which the hotel tried to pass off as the correct room until we caught them in their lie. Then told us they no longer have the suite available because they gave it to someone else. Very sleazy hotel.
Everything was clean, efficient, and located close to things we wanted to see. Empire State Bldg is only a block or two away. Room had very limited space for moving about but it was fine for one night. Doorman was helpful in holding our bags after checking out until we were ready to depart NYC.
We had a very nice stay here in one of the Empire Queen View rooms. The view of the Empire State Building was unforgettable. Even the bathroom window had a view of the famous building. We had a minor housekeeping issue, but it was taken care of in a satisfactory manner. The staff were all very nice and polite. If you need more coffee k-cups, just ask the front desk. Would stay here again.
Just got back from a six night stay and I can’t say enough good things about my experience. Booked room about four months out not knowing what to expect price wise w/ all the COVID stuff going on. Picked this hotel over a few others based on average room price, location and online reviews. Honestly, this place totally exceeded my expectations. I got two rooms, the first w an awesome view of the Empire State Building. Not a gigantic space but good enough for two people staying in NYC that spend most of the time out of the room. I also got the suite w the pullout bed, which was spacious, clean and functional. Rooms came w a keurig, basic amenities and a television w/ an accessible hdmi. Definitely a perk when you can hook up the firestick. The staff, particularly Juan and the bellhops, were great and went out of their way to make my elderly mom comfortable. The location was awesome, convenient to the subway and close enough to Times Square that you could walk there in 5 minutes, without having craziness right outside your door. Centrally located with tons of stuff to eat and do just on the street of the hotel. Guest services cleaned as you needed them and if you ever needed towels or trash taken out on the fly they were at your door in 30 minutes or less. I definitely recommend the breakfast package as the food was great and it likely saved a couple hundred dollars over the course of our stay. I’m glad I found this space as I definitely prefer supporting a small business over a huge, boring, chain. I look forward to staying w them again in the future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I’m not sure why others said it’s outdated or grungy, because our room wasn’t at all. It was lovely. The lobby area is beautiful. Everything was clean and well-stocked. The location is amazing too, easy to get to places and it felt very safe. I have to give a shout-out to Kieran, who helped us several times and seemed super nice on every occasion. The shower not having a door (as someone else mentioned) is designed that way, an open concept, and it’s really convenient. And the hotel was quiet, for NYC, anyway. The only thing I would note is that the room was small. But I wasn’t surprised given the price and location, and compared to other places I’ve stayed in Manhattan. And it wasn’t a problem either. I would definitely stay here again on future trips to the city. Thank you for a great stay.
It was good because the bed was comfortable, room was clean and the view was nice - but - executive this hotel in not. There is no executive chair to work on, just a soft one and the conference room is in the basement, light was broken, and it was so cold you felt you entered a morgue. So they should drop the name Executive.Front desk wasn’t too bad - they gave me the missing items after I showed them my room description. Overall- it was good and perfect location.
Nicole took care of us. She upgraded our room to a pent suite since we had 2 kids with us. The trip was booked through Expedia and we thought parking was included only to find out it wasn’t, My husband became upset but Nicole diffused the situation by giving us complimentary parking for the night. We appreciate everything that she did to make our stay an enjoyable one. Rooms were clean and other staff were great as well. Great experience overall. Will stay next time due to treatment by Nicole and staff members.
We stayed here 2 nights. The hotel itself is beautiful. It is a 4 star hotel but the fridge is super small. Nothing fits. No microwave in room. No roll away beds available. It has a nice division between bed and sofa bed for privacy. 2 TV but the wifi was slow. Overall it was a nice stay. It is considered a luxury hotel but it lacked what I considered essentials. Bathroom has a slide door hard to close and unable to lock. The shower just had a clear glass to keep water in. No sliding door. Overall, excellent dining, excellent staff, very nice, and my parking was included. I do recommend for couples no so much for family.
We booked a queen room with empire view, we were on the 16th floor and it was a nice view. The room was smaller than I envisioned, the sq ft is spread out between the entrance and the restroom, which I guess balances out. All the staff was amazing, friendly, attentive, I have no complaints about them. We were looking to get to MetLife, but Uber was charging $100+ and the staff let us know they actually have a car service and they were going to charge us the same. The driver was also friendly, definitely recommend using it if you need it. The location is perfect, close the Herald Square and if you dont mind walking, walking distance to Bryant Park, Times Square, Rockefeller and subway stations. We had breakfast sandwiches at the bagel place a couple doors down and it was a good cheap breakfast. Didnt eat at the restaurants near there.
Would give it zero stars if that were possible. This nightmare of a facility is run by the worst management I’ve ever seen. Booked two nights to stay there this past week for a birthday/work trip however unfortunately within hours of being there we encountered a BED BUG! When we called the front desk they acted like it was no big deal and to wait for housekeeping to handle the matter. Hours later the manager Yassir came up to the room and when we showed him pictures of the bed bug he had the audacity to insist that those pictures were not taken at this hotel. The photos on my phone had time stamps of the location and time and I came in person to speak to him only for him to talk over me and claim no responsibility or even apologize over the matter. I let him know that I contacted the New York health and safety department since it was a public health issue. We canceled our stay for the second night and checked out of the hotel and unfortunately left a few personal belongings behind. When we called Tuesday to say we’d come by to pick it up our belongings they said they would have it ready at the front desk but once again shocker they did not have our stuff. The lack of coordination and hospitality at this place is beyond me and I am unsure how they still are in business. The assistant front office manager Jose was the only nice person we encountered and he was the only person who apologized for the inconvenience we went through. We are now having to throw away so many personal items because we are worried about the bed bug contamination and unfortunately this hotel did not help with even offering to dry clean or compensate us for the loss of our contaminated items.
Not one to leave negative reviews however, it was one thing after the next. Right away, the lobby reeked like odor, smoke and just gross. The room was poorly set up. Online the room obviously looks different and is advertised to make it look/sound bigger. The couch pulls out to a bed, however, the room is so poorly laid out and crammed that when pulling the bed out, it hits against the wall, causing the wall to crack and the bed to not even be able to go down fully. The AC happened to be broken the first and hottest night. (they said they would compensate me, however never did). Thankfully we were able to open one of the two windows (if they were even supposed to be able to open) but the window didn’t close back properly, leaving a gap. There is no washer or dryer in the hotel, as advertised. The bathroom door was so heavy and so hard to pull that literally two people had to close or open it. The shower floor had footprints all over it before any of us even used it. I paid for city view but got a brick building to look at. The only thing was that most of the staff we dealt with were extremely nice.
Great stay at Le Soleil. Used CC points to stay at this hotel and really enjoyed it! We showed up really early the day of check in and they stored our bags while we did a city tour, let us use the restroom, and gave us bottles of water (all before we officially check in). During check in, they upgraded both our rooms to suites free of charge and we were very happy with the cleanliness and amenities of the rooms. As some mention in earlier reviews, the elevators can be a little slow, but we never waited more than a couple minutes. No issue at all with the AC in either of our two rooms. The location is perfect for those trying to see midtown and downtown. Food options all around, close to Times Square, and walking distance to Grand Central. Great visit and would stay here again if in NYC.
This hotel has bed bugs! I stayed with two friends and they found a bed bug crawling on their bed. The managers response to this was to confront me and imply that we were lying and that the pictures that we took were not of their hotel. The bed in the picture clearly matched the hotel and the time and place of the picture is at this hotel. The manager, Yassir, was very rude and condescending to me and my friends and did not handle the situation professionally, as he would not take responsibility for his hotel being unclean and instead tried to find ways to blame us for this. VERY poor customer service skills on his part. We left the hotel with uncertainty that our luggage was safe, the hotel had not provided us with any way of cleaning our things. The manager had said that they had to do an investigation of the room to determine if their were more bed bugs but he never got back to us. We had to clean our things on our own to our own expense. This is not acceptable and I think the manager should be fired. We talked to another manager named Jose later and he was more helpful and spoke to us respectfully. Unfortunately the manager named Yassir made our stay in NYC a lot more complicated than it needed to be and did not offer any solutions, his behavior was unacceptable.
This hotel was just perfect!!! The location was AMAZING! Macy’s is right around the corner. The room was very clean and the staff were so kind. We got a room on the 17th floor with the Empire State Building smack in our face out of our window! The cost for this room was no more than the other rooms either. The price was insanely cheap for a room in the middle of Manhattan with this view. The hotel also collaborates with the parking garage that is two buildings over. So it’s super easy to park there and walk right over to the hotel.
Updated, Clean, Friendly, hip decor, large rooms. Really quite. Amazing location. We walked from Penn Station to get to our hotel. A 10 min walk. Time Square 15 min walk and all the shopping you could want right outside the door. This is by far the best hotel Ive stayed at in NYC.
Positive: Bed was comfortable and many of the staff were friendly and helpful. Other than one issue, cleanliness was excellent. Negative: While it was a lovely hotel in many ways, I was surprised that rooms contained neither washrags nor tissues (kleenex). In the open-faced vanity there was a wadded up bathroom mat stuffed in one corner.
This hotel was fine. It really is just kind of old and junky. We booked for five nights but only ended up staying for 2. We had paid to have the nicer room empire view, and if I hadn’t paid so much, I might have stuck it out. If you’re paying 100-130 a night it’s fine. Our room had scuffs all over the walls, felt outdated and dirty, and the bed was a double although we paid for a queen. They had coffee makers, but only disposable cups. Again nothing wrong with it, but I don’t know how they advertise as 4 star. The mattress just felt very old too. Our air con didn’t work either.A note about the staff: they were so kind and accommodating and did everything they could to help. We were discounted for the lack of air and they cancelled our last 3 nights no problem so we could go stay somewhere else. The staff experience would be 5 stars. So, if you get this place for cheap, it’s a great location and it’s fine. It’s just not worth paying good money for when you can pay the same price somewhere else and get waaaaay more
Thank you this was resolved: [[The room was nice, although when I entered 605 I thought it smelt a bit like urine or something. I immediately alerted the front desk of the unusual smell upon entrance but want bothersome enough to switch rooms. After checking out my card was debited $275 for a smoking fee, of which no one came to the room to alert me if a smoke detector had gone off, so I assume it was the same smell I had reported when I entered the room.Ive called for 3 days in a row and left messages either with a managers or GMs voicemail and have not heard back from either. Very unprofessional way to handle this situation but so quick to charge some ridiculous amount. Better business bureau will be contacted to look into this if it is not resolved]]
Ok, NYC is only just opening back up after Covid so the hotel wasnt fully open yet, but the stay was very enjoyable all the same.Staff were top-notch, polite, friendly and helpful. The rooms were New York rooms, so of course they were small, but very comfortable all the same. The only complaint we would have about our room was there was nowhere to put our suitcases, but the bathroom was oddly large so we stored them in there.I would definitely go back if Im ever in New York again.
Location is great, close to everything. The cable was not working but who comes to New York to stay in their room so that wasn’t a big deal. What was a big deal is me finding a piece of food under the bed near my night stand. My room was barely stocked with essentials needed. I had to go ask the front desk for wash clothes, towels and sheets for my first night stay. I was informed they we’re out of wash clothes. My family’s second night stay, we were told someone would stock our room and that didn’t happen. I had to go ask the front desk and once again they are out of wash clothes!! I can’t understand how a hotel runs out of anything!! let alone a hotel in the middle of New York!! I understand being short staff due to the pandemic yet not having clean linings for your customers is a problem!!!
Probably one of the better hotels around this area. We take the train up and its convenient to just walk to the hotel. Our first night in town we stayed at a place we visited on our last trip. It was not pleasant, so my wife booked us here. The staff were nice and the rooms clean.
After a long day of travel, I felt welcome and comfortable as Nicole Soler created the perfect guest reception for me. I am so very thankful for her welcoming smile and lovely humor - she even laughed at my silly jokes. Then Monday, I received a bouquet of roses, but I wasn’t sure how I would be able to care for them in my room. Keron dropped everything he was doing, and enthusiastically asked me to wait for him in the lobby with a promise that he’d be right back with a solution. When he returned, he had the perfect sized vase and a pair of scissors and immediately went to work creating a beautiful flower arrangement for me right there in the lobby! Finally, I would like to thank everyone I came into contact with at Hotel Soleil. The doorman with the genuine smile, the concierge with the bow tie and bright, happy eyes, the cleaning person with the sweet voice, and all of the kind front desk people who would wave at me all together with big smiles!Thank you for having such wonderfully happy and gracious persons who made this trip to New York my favorite so far!
Our room was changed because the sofa bed was broken. Unfortunately our new room was directly across from the elevator. We needed customer service one night and were told that besides the doorman there was exactly ONE employee in the hotel therefore we would not be assisted. We will definitely not be returning. There are many other hotels available in the same price range.
I had an amazing time here even though we only stayed for one night. Check in and out was simple. Staff was pleasant and the doorman held our stuff after we checked out and went to breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable only con was there was only 3 good channels on the tv.
I expected more from this hotel experience. I booked a suite and double room for my birthday weekend this past april. Upon getting there we had to wait almost an hour because our room was not ready yet even though it was past our check in time when we arrived. Our rooms were both damaged and had stains on the curtains, couch, and comforter. We even found fake finger nails on the floor right next to our bed. It felt as though because we are in our young twenties they gave us the more damaged rooms. The tv would not even turn on. When we told the hotel staff of the nails and damages they just assured me that we wouldn’t have to pay for those damages that were there before us instead of cleaning our room or switching us to more decent rooms. On top of all this the wifi at this hotel was public and someone attempted to hack into my phone and got some information. It was pretty scary and nothing about this hotel felt secure. It was so disappointing because I had heard great reviews and carefully picked this place for my birthday. The only positive thing is that the location is very good.
Very good hotel, staff is very kind and helpful, they upgraded our room because of our anniversary. The only thing I didn’t like was that there is no room service as they explained due to COVID 19 (don’t know what it has to do with that tbh) but you can request it a day before. There was no view from the room but the room was specious and clean and very pretty. There was a simple tv in the room so no Netflix support.
The hotel is in a good location but the main issues we experienced were the elevators, cleanliness and hospitality. There was only one was functioning elevator which was very inconvenient given the capacity due to COVID. The room wasn’t clean at all and we weren’t even given washcloths to shower with. We asked for washcloths at the front desk and were given floor mats. In our room we also experienced the sink was not draining properly. Never will we visit this location again, I’m highly upset with my experience here and travel often to know a quality hotel.
This hotel had very bad communication with my husband and I during our stay and I will never go back. We booked the hotel through our chase travel points and the room confirmation stated that we will have a city view. We get to the hotel and not only are we only on the 2nd floor but our view was to a side of another building and the roof of a small building in between. We called chase, who played the middleman to figure out the mistake and the hotel manager says we cant move rooms b/c the hotel is fully booked but we can be moved the next day and we will get a reimbursement of $20/night for the inconvenience. We were then told to have our bags packed and they will be moved the next day around 3pm. The next day, we had all our bags packed in front of the door and left to do our sight seeing for the day. As we were getting closer to the hotel around 4pm we called the hotel to confirm the move. They then tell us our room was never changed b/c we failed to check in the hotel in the morning and now there are no rooms left. Huh??? We were NEVER told this info... we call chase back to explain the situation and no matter how many different numbers chase tried, they were unable to reach anyone from the hotel.Once we got home from our trip we called chase to get our $20/night reimbursement that the hotel manager promised us but chase is unable to reach the hotel management for several days now. It seems as the hotel management is avoiding chase at this point.I also see a random charge from the hotel so I call to get an explanation and the charge was to use WiFi, water bottles (which were NEVER provided to us), and the gym. I told the person on the phone that we never had water bottles provide in our rooms and it was never communicated that the hotel will provide water for us. She then replied well, the customers have been coming to the front desk to ask for them. Ok... well how would we have known if we were never told you provide them in the first place?!This hotel is a joke, I will never recommend this place to anyone.
I had bad experiences with this hotel I will start first with the hospitality was very bad not professional to welcome the guests and second thing the room was small not clean higine is very weak in this hotel no housekeeping available during ur stay due to covid very unacceptable reason and third if u ask the front desk for something like towels or coffee cups it will take long time to deliver it to ur room and last the price was high according to what I mentioned. I really feel regret that I stay in that hotel and it will be my last and I will never book for it and I dont recommend any one to book unless u dont care about higine and services.
Stayed for a few nights last week and had a great experience. Prior to arriving, I had some questions which staff answered over the phone which was informational and helpful. The suite we had on the 17th floor far exceeded my expectations - was clean and larger than expected. The front desk was friendly and always greeted us hello & goodbye during our stay and gave us complimentary waters. I will be staying here next time I visit NYC. Thank you for the amazing service and making our stay enjoyable.
Its spacious for the NYC and service is good, but motion activated A/C causes the temperature in the room to rise and the air get stuffy. Also, there are only two lights in the room on the night stand next to the bed, leave half of the room in near total darkness after sunset. Not sure Id like to stay there again.
Not enough blankets for 4 people, when I booked a room for 4 people. Ridiculous and a pretty disinterested staff too. Finally got blankets on the 3rd night of my 3rd night stay. Asked for the manager to call, but not surprisingly, no call received. Great location and the room was decent, but wouldnt stay here again.
I stayed here for a week and it is a clean hotel. The staff is friendly. The only problem I ran into was one of the elevators were down at the time, theres only two. Its a around the corner from the Empire State building, Macys and so many other shopping stores. Highly recommended if youre thinking about staying in New York for a while.
Honestly, this place isnt worthy of its 4-star title. I would classify it as being ok for what it is. The rooms are quite small, the A/C here absolutely sucks, so prepare for a hot muggy stay. Theres only two elevators for the whole building, so if its a busy day at the hotel, you might have to wait upwards of 5-10 mins for an elevator.
The location was central to everything, but not too busy or noisy. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was cleaned every day to a high standard. The bed was comfortable.Paid for views of the empire state building but we were put in a room facing the opposite direction. It did have a view of NY rooftops from the 17th floor, which to us (being from a small village) was still unique.I emailed the hotel in advance to confirm the final amount that would need to be paid on arrival. I was given a price, but they did not mention the $100 a day deposit. I was caught off guard at check in, but luckily we had the cash available
Dont waste your money: False advertising and broken items in every room.I booked a King Sized Suite with City Views for a $500 and got one with NO such view and a broken AC unit. Even the lampshades were loose and crooked. It took a few calls for Front Desk to even believe me when I said the AC was broken. The man at the desk kept challenging the fact that the room was warm, I was breaking a sweat, and that there wasnt even any LED reading on the unit. They transferred us to a different room on a much lower floor (even less of a view), with an inferior layout, broken shower light and ceiling vent, more loose and crooked lampshades, a hazardous dirty hairdryer, and clogged coffee machine. The bathroom smelled of sewage, and their bathroom products are of motel quality.
We loved this hotel. The location in midtown is perfect and we walked to practically everything. Close to the subway too. The hotel has a wonderful vibe and the staff were top notch. We especially appreciated Emilio and his fellow bellmen. They made us feel so welcome and had great recommendations. Went out of their way to flag down cabs. I have worked in hospitality and I recognize when staff go above and beyond, and they did.The rooms are beautifully appointed and well serviced. We would definitely stay here again! Big thanks to all the staff for making our trip so special.
I am currently here until Thursday. I arrived Sunday. This hotel is the perfect location for great restaurants. Trademark is excellent, right next door, and will deliver certain items to your room. Access to great shopping very close by and easy to walk everywhere in Manhattan or close subway entrances if you prefer that mode of getting around. All this while having the boutique feeling I love In a hotel as well as that authentic NY neighborhood feel. Its clean too. The icing on the cake, coffee maker in room! I love it here and have found my spot for future trips. My only wish was a higher floor when I checked in. There wasn’t one available but they promised they’d move me up the next day. I checked back before noon the next day and they couldn’t move me. Wish they wouldn’t have promised that, I would have appreciated the view. Otherwise, I loved it here and will be back.
My hotel was booked on the wrong date by a day. I tried to move the date and the reservation canceled. I called both Expedia and the hotel. Expedia advised the hotel would not issue a refund. I think that is really rude of a hotel, 1. The date was wrong only by a day and 2. I didn’t only want a refund. I asked if they could move it one day to the correct date, Or I asked for a credit/voucher something to stay all of which the hotel said no. So beware the hotel is not for hospitality only for money.
Stayed at this hotel yesterday night into today morning. service and staff were friendly but I found out later in the day that they charged me an extra $105 ontop of the $171 that I already paid for after i checked out. not sure if this was part of the service fee or was for a late checkout either way $105 is alot and the lady at the front desk did not inform me about a late checkout fee.
Dissaplinting experience. Not returning.Room carpets dirty.Walls dirtyHousekeeping very poor. Found hairs both under bed covers and y under pillows.Bathroom lighting highly inadequateResponsiveness of staff very slow and ineffective (e.g. reported a beeping from electrical panel on floor at 5 PM. Not resolved till next day, so the whole floor “slept” with the beeping noise)They do not do housekeeping during the stay. A COVID “justification.”Rooms were not ready till past 5 PM, but they advertise 3 PM check in.
Their AC system is motion sensored so if you are not in your room it turns off and also shuts off while you sleep aka you are sleeping in the current weather outside. My friends and I woke up multiple times throughout the night since it was so hot because the AC turned off. Additionally, the fire alarm went off. At first we thought it was someones alarm because it was the most muffled alarm I ever heard in my life. Tried to call front desk and no response so came downstairs to find out someone burned something in the kitchen? The overall experience was poor. Avoid if you can. Find a place with AC that doesnt shut off.
This boutique hotel made our New York experience worth while. From the time we checked in to the day we left we were looked after in every way. Conveniently situated close to numerous tourist attractions & subway close by. Our room was perfect for the three of us, smelling fresh & clean all the time. All staff were attentive to our needs & most helpful in terms of places to go visit. We will definitely come back & stay with you again. Thanks again,Carl, Shelley & Ashton Williams
My fiance and I had a great experience at this hotel. We were welcomed by the front, checked in easily and enjoyed the nice rooms provided. Having a coffee bar downstairs was a plus to start our city day. The beds were comfy and the rooms were big compared to other boutique hotels. I would certainly recommend if you are in the heart of NYC!
Love the room!! The room is very large with separate seating area which makes it so nice. Furnishings are very neutral, with a very clean and new feel. This is my second time staying here in NYC and so happy to be back. Great location too. Very accessible to uptown and downtown. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
Room is generous in size for NYC. TV has not worked at all. Door on bathroom is tricky. Its a barn door, does not cover the door space completely, and fell off the rail. EXTREMELY HEAVY to lift and put back in place. If it had fallen it would have seriously hurt someone. Clean, doable for a single night
Only two blocks north of the Empire State Building, this hotel is a great place to stay for your New York experience. The rooms are more on the smaller but completely sufficient size, very clean with a modern bathroom. Bathrobe, hairdryer, iron are all available. The staff is friendly and very helpful. A great deal for New York.
We stayed 12/31/2020 - 01/02/2021 for my 29th birthday. The Hotel is cozy and located in a perfect location for walking. The room is small but clean. The staff was great!Perfect for a couples getaway. Would highly recommend!Check out pictures from our trip on Instagram @_kayyla_cline_Happy New Year - 2021 :)
Hello ,I feel really regret that i booked for this hotel hospitality was very poor not professional to deal with customers the hotel and the room it self very very very dirty service is very weak if u ask for something it will take ages to deliver it to ur roomThe room very small not good for family even the wifi is bad i will say no wifi and the price is high for what u get for i feel for the first time that i lost my mony for nothing i dont know what to say else but i dont recommend any one to book at that hotel and dont even step on itVery bad experience with thim.
This hotel was in a good location but that’s about it.Here were my qualms:1. Front Desk was understaffed with only one person checking people in.2. Check-in was at 3 but we were not able to get into the room until 4pm because of complications with room cleaning. After waiting for an extra hour a manager came out to give me the key after I had already checked in. She was EXTREMELY unpleasant and acted as if it was a nuisance, asked for my credit card to re-run even though this had already been done and when I tried to explain she was dismissive.3. Room was pretty tiny, but that’s par for the course, only one ice machine on second floor.4. Day 2- Room was not cleaned - we did not put out a do not disturb sign so this was weird.5. I requested room to be cleaned, staff came and made the beds took the towels. But did not remove any of the glasses or replenish the toilet paper. When we first arrived at the room the toilet paper was half gone (which is totally fine I don’t like to waste) but by the second day it was gone with no additions waiting. We were in the pent house suite two bedroom - so four people for one bath. This hotel was fine... but for a penthouse “suite” it was underwhelming and the service was pretty disappointing.I would not recommend this hotel. I won’t be staying again.
I spent 7 days at this hotel overall.....o.k....good.What I dont like1. No cable for 7 days2. No room service unless you ask for it3.I only got one roll of toilet paper4.elevator took for ever at pick hours of the day5.most of the staff not friendly6.mattress was wear out some.
Clean and friendly! Staff went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Highly impressed with my first visit and looking forward to staying here again. Within walking distance to so many must see sites. Would recommend and will be back. Frances and Jamie were both amazing staff members. Did not catch the housekeepers name but was kind and friendly. Before the night ended she came to my room to check and see if there was anything I needed. For my first tip to New York I was extremely impressed with Le Soleil and their staff. The penthouse suite was amazing with spectacular views.
Overall a very good experience! The lobby and the rooms are cozy and upscale. The room is in excellent order. Heat/AC and shower are on point. The shower is very spacious, although there was no shower gel or cotton swabs provided. There are two varieties of soap though, and a shower cap. Due to the location of the hotel on 36 st, there is no street noise at night, which is great. Checkin and checkout were quick and the nightly rate was a pleasant surprise. Overall, very recommended.
Location is great! The staff is helpful. There were a few things that werent perfect: They do not have room service, yet. Our room door wouldnt shut all the way by itself. There was no Do Not Disturb tag to put on the door, but we were never interrupted by housekeeping. Also, the toilet handle wouldnt return to starting position by itself. The valve would stay open and continue filling the tank unless you remembered to adjust the flush handle yourself when finished. But the bathroom otherwise was nice. We had a great view of the empire State building (we were on floor 14). We did not have time to use the amenities they had, but they offered several things: spa, gym, conference rooms etc.
Worst hotel I’ve been ever in, I stayed there for three nights. No room service no water to drink, three days with the same towels. No coffee refill no new cups. You have to ask for everything and you have to go down and get it yourself. The room was very small and dirty. Don’t waste your money.
Room was smaller then it looked on the site. Bathroom sink was clogged i complained about it no one ever came up to fix it...beds are hard as hell.. The elevator will make u feel like your trapped i was stuck on it just going up and down and still have not got my deposit backfrom them....never again
Really Nice hotel. Friendly desk staff. Always clean. The check in staff were especially helpful with our questions during our stay. Door staff were friendly and brilliant. However, we are from the UK and read on the website if we request in advance we can get a kettle provided for the room. We emailed well in advance more than once, with acknowledgement. Still no kettle. We asked when we arrived , informed none available, so we went out and bought one. However why offer this service on the website if none available? Secondly , the bathroom sliding doors are just strange, with no handles they are so inconvenient to open from the top of the door workings. I know its two seemingly small things but I feel neither should have been an issue.
Not sure how to rate this place. Overall, its definitely not a bad choice. Good location, competent staff and clean rooms. However, we were a bit unlucky to stay there when there was a false fire alarm in the middle of the night. Had to walk down from 14th floor (all stairs), wait in the lobby for 30 min just to be sent up to the room again. At least (for their high room prices) they could have offered all of the guests free breakfast. Also weve asked for a room with view and were told to see the Empire State Building - which was, however, definitely not the case. Its not that bad but still slightly disappointing honestly....
We stayed there for 3 nights in November. They mishandled my credit card and charged 1 night of someone elses room on my card. They refused to refund my card and made me contact the other guest, whose folio they sent me, to have that guest send me the payment. Location was great. Our room was small and we had a view of a brick office building behind us. A high south facing floor may be nice though. Also, our room on the 5the floor did not allow us to have the hide a bed out and use the door to the room. The credit card issue is inexcusable though and I will never return.
It is one of the most beautiful and best hotels in Manhattan. We had a queen suite on the 17th floor with incredible views of the empire state building. The staff was very friendly and helpful from the beginning. The room was clean every day and I think of the price performance ratio is the top address in Manhattan. big thanks to all employees
Was not impressed. Rooms were super small, smaller than what the pictures show. The hotel compromised functional space in the rooms. It looks like the focus was more on being trendy rather than how they could make the most out of such a small space. We felt like we were in a closet, not a room. There was no space for suitcases or to even hang up a coat. Very poor design in the rooms. Aside from design space, it is in a good location to Times Square and staff was friendly.
Room wasn’t the one that paid for , I had to ask for a different room it wasn’t cleaned . No cable for 3 days I have a 7yr old that wanted to watch cartoons or something. No housekeeping unless you stay 3 days longer . Had already booked room in advanced so no way of moving.
Stayed on a Saturday night in April. The room was good and the staff were nice enough. Overall I liked the hotel especially the location. Easy walk to Subway and Times Square. Cool Irish bar across the street. The only thing I didnt like was being charged $70 for valet. I understand parking is a premium in midtown but $70 seems too steep.
Location is great and room is clean. But look out for email from staff that downgrade your reservation by asking you to cancel your original reservation for slightly cheaper rate. I booked through a third party site for a Suite room (bedroom + living room) with good rate and a staff from the hotel has emailed me asking me to book directly with them for about 10% discount for the same room so I agreed. But they had downgrade my room to just a small queen bedroom with no living room at all. We are a couple traveling with two young kids so adding a crib to the room (thank you for accommodation) there was no space to move around at all. We emailed both the staff member and the GM before our arrival to double check on the reservation but no one got back to us. We didnt ask to change room since it was only 1 night stay but this whole situation feel like a scam from the hotel, partially our fault for agreeing to the discount but still very disappointed by this type of action from a high end hotel like this.
This hotel was the perfect location for our family of 4, 2adults and two kids! The hotel was a cute and quaint boutique style hotel the customer service was outstanding the front desk staff were awesome Chris in particular always was very attentive to us at m The hotel was a cute and quaint boutique style hotel the customer service was outstanding the front desk staff were awesome Chris in particular always was very attentive to us! We were walking distance to time square Broadway the garment district all the bus lines it was fantastic the price was great for time square hotels. The only drawback was that there were no closets in the room but that’s OK everything else made up for it. I did hours of research and reading reviews Take it for me this is the place you want to book.
Although the room was a bit compact, it was very nice and clean. The robes were amazingly soft and comfortable. When we asked for two extras, the front desk was very accommodating. The front desk staff went above and beyond in their duties. They were helpful and patient when we asked them for bar recommendations and even printed out map directions to show us the locations. The front desk also recommended a GREAT late night pizza place and called it for us. (Thanks Andre!) There was free wifi and a cute little bar/restaurant downstairs. Overnight valet parking was available for a fee, but was very convenient. The service and the quality of the room (especially the shower 😍) was on point; I cannot rave enough. The price was very reasonable for the 4 gals in my group.
Very clean room, fairly standard modern nice layout, but nothing I havent before. What makes this place very good is the staff. I wish I got this treatment everywhere I went. Not over the top but attentive and caring.Enjoyed the restaurant and will go back when not staying there.BTW I cant believe staying to close to the middle of everything could be so quiet. Im from NYC and I was very impressed. Best place Ive stayed in for business.
We had such a wonderful stay. From check in to check out. Comfy bed, Clean room and the location was ideal. Close to Herald Sq. Everything was great. I have stayed in many NYC hotels and so happy we chose to stay at Executive. The restaurant Trademark in the hotel is great as well!
Not worthy of 4 stars. Wouldn’t accommodate any early check-in (at 2:30pm.) Then after coming back, they only had one person working the desk at check-in time. They offered to bring our bags up for us which they had been holding onto, and that took more than 15 minutes, at which time the bellhop complained about how everyone wants to check in at the same time (at check-in time because they didn’t accommodate prior) so he was busy. Also, as a VIP member, I was supposed to receive a free bottle of wine, which wasn’t brought to our room until after we returned for the evening... and it wasn’t even kept cold (it was a Chardonnay!) Only staying one night so won’t even have the chance to drink it now. Definitely would not return and wouldn’t recommend. Plenty of other places in Manhattan probably more representative of a 4 star rating.
We booked this hotel for our StayCation this weekend and were very impressed. Room was exactly as pictured, very clean & elegant. Lots of space to crash after a night out. (Sooooo much better than our tiny Brooklyn Apartment!) Staff were friendly & professional. Will be recommending to friends and family who visit in the future.
I have spent three weeks at this hotel while on holiday in New York and I found this hotel fantastic. The rooms were clean and spacious, lovely atmosphere all round. Staff very helpful and polite including the cleaner. I will definitely book at this hotel when i return to New York and would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you all
Nice location. The rooms are clean and I slept well without hearing noises from neighbors or the street. The coffee machine in the room is a plus and I like that it has a small sofa and TV right after entering the room so I can sit down to take a small rest after going back from outside.
Great location. Great place to stay. Tastefully decorated. A Very clean hotel with a friendly and highly professional staff. Alfredo at front desk was a great help in placing us in a suite and remained patient as we looked at three rooms before deciding the right one. Doorman Eddie was very friendly anything you need hes there. Always greeting you on way in and out. Thanks for having an umbrella in the room. Looking forward to restaurant next time we come. Will be back.
For $400 a night, this is not the place to stay. (We booked it with a discount of $100, but knowing it should be $400 makes it worse, as $300 was too much!)The room is incredibly small; there isnt even a closet. There is a small piece of furniture to hang a few items, and has 3 drawers, but its still very, very small. There is no vent system in the bathroom, so during our entire stay, our room was humid and damp; all of our clothes were damp (even those that hadnt been worn yet) just from showering. Counter space/storage space in the bathroom was also incredibly limited. There were drain flies (see pictures) all over the bathroom, but especially when showering. They dont do any harm, but are gross and can easily be exterminated by hotel staff.I dont know if our sheets were changed prior to us arriving. I noticed a spot on the bedding the first night that I assumed was just a stain. Two days later, I noticed the same spot. My husband and I stripped the bed, and found it was gross (see pictures). We dont wear socks/shoes in bed, and dont have this problem at home, so we are certain the filth is not from us.The sheets and towels were often stained, and many of the towels had holes in them. They were usable and clean, but not appealing. The room was loud. You couldnt hear others in the room next door, but you could easily hear full conversations being had in the hallway, and could always hear doors opening and closing, and the elevator.I will say that the staff was nice and helpful, but for the cost and all the other issues, I highly recommend you book a stay elsewhere.
Great hotel. Nice views of the Empire State Building from the 14th floor and up. Nice bar next door. It was a shame that our hotel room door looked like it had recently being broken in to. They is a little concerning when staying in NYC. Things like that should really be repaired immediately in my opinion.
Great Location...super friendly staff!Lovely hotel in a great location. Easy access to everything and the view of the Empire State building is incredible! The staff is super friendly and informative. They were eager to assist us in every way. We will definitely come back again.
Honestly, it wasnt worth the price at all. The elevators are absolutely infuriating - every guest I spoke to shared the same opinion. It took 10-20 minutes to get an elevator EVERY TIME. I understand being busy but this would be at off times. every other guest in front of me and behind me was offered free wine at check-in and even though Im obviously in my 30s I was not. the shower does not stay warm - my entire trip I maybe got about 4 minutes of hot water - they brag about the robes but mine was torn and tattered - it looked like a pirate robe haha! would not stay again even though the staff is very friendly.
For context, I stayed on the twentieth floor in a Penthouse Suite, for a reasonable price, which was part of the attraction. I like nice hotels, and have stayed in a variety of 4 and 5 star hotels in NYC and internationally. I am very unlikely to stay again, because given my experience in what had to be one of the nicest rooms, I was not impressed with a number of things.First, and most important, the bathroom shower had no rails or grips anywhere and has a lip, which I did not see, so that when you come out of the shower you have to step over it or you will trip, which I did. Fortunately I caught myself, but otherwise I would have fallen directly into a part of the wall. So the design of the shower/bathroom is flawed and dangerous - a lawsuit waiting to happen. (Note: I asked to speak to management about the shower, to let them know its dangerous - later they sent up a mat to put on the floor, which is not my idea of fixing the problem). The bathroom was also missing things, like shampoo and a waste basket, things you shouldnt have to ask for, especially in a hotel like this.Second, the suite, which was spacious and had a nice view, simply didnt feel that nice or cozy in terms of color, fabric choices for the couch, and lighting (the lighting, including in the bedroom, is too bright with no dimming options - again, odd for a luxury hotel). Its like a close-to-nice-but-not experience, which for such a context (a penthouse suite in Manhattan) was frustrating because I wanted to like the room. But I didnt want to spend time in the room. The coffee machine was mysterious and high tech, with no instructions, and it didnt work when I tried to use it (and Ive used that kind before), and it had nothing but decaf. pods. There was also little storage space - no closet and not even a covered wardroom, but an exposed metal rack for hanging things.Third, there was no book with information about anything in the hotel - I literally didnt and dont even know if there is room service (I expected there would be a hotel with this kind of advertising, but if so there was no information anywhere).Fourth, the hotel service was okay, but mixed. The front desk was nice, but the restaurant, which has a door in the lobby that is not the entrance, gave us an unpleasant first experience, as a staff member rather curtly told us the hostess was over there and we werent supposed to use the entrance we came in - the big double doors opening into the lobby. We figured out you are supposed to go outside and enter through a separate door - which is fine, but should have been politely explained to us either at the desk or by the waitress, as it isnt obvious. The food at the restaurant was good.To be clear, Im evaluating this hotel by its advertised standards as a luxury hotel - nothing felt luxurious, and I have had better experiences at hotels substantially cheaper. I wanted to enjoy this hotel, and wish I could recommend it, but at least based on my experience there so far (probably my last), I cant. Spend your money elsewhere.
Easy location for seeing all the tourist sights of NYC. The hotel is dim and dingy. Our room was gross. The shower sprays all over the bathroom and the walls in there look like that was the case for a long time, all pealing and buckling. Our door was warped, probably also from the moisture, and hard to open and shut. It must have been hard for housekeeping, too, because we came back one day to find our door still ajar at 9pm. Managment called the next day and was very gracious in trying to make it right, but it would be much better if the housekeeping staff would report maintenance issues and have them resolved before guests have to complain.
Le Soleil is a nice boutique hotel located near the Empire State Building and K-Town in midtown Manhatten. I stayed in a Queen Suite which was clean, spacious and comfortable. Along with the Queen bed, the room includes a separate seating area with sofa and TV, a bathroom with a large walk in shower (no tub) and a second TV by the bed. The bathroom was clean with a rainfall shower head and good hot water and shower pressure. I would have liked more closet storage and more than the 3 hangers provided, but thats only a small quibble. Overall, a comfortable stay in a great location.
Beautiful hotel with quality facilities. Received a room on a higher floor with an amazing view of the Empire State Building. Large comfortable room with a fantastic bathroom. Executive Queen room is a great value for the price. The restaurant/bar is a fun vibe. Solid food options and talented bartenders. Super friendly and fun bar staff.
Loved this hotel! Stayed here for 4 nights with a one year old. Room was clean and spacious. Had a mini fridge and microwave. Hotel provided a pack and play. Our room faced the Empire State Building. Staff was very friendly and always had smiles on their faces. Convenient to many things. Would definitely stay here again and reccomend Hotel Le Soleil to others.
Yadira Is amazing with her communication so far! I will be staying in February and I have asked for certain requests. I know I cannot have everything guaranteed, but with the help of the Yadira, I have been able to save some money from my third-party booking. Saving $$ booking directly with the hotel was appreciative and very unexpected. Will update my review once I stay.
This hotel is so beautiful. Lovely rooms. Customer service people at the front desk though? Not so lovely. For upper management, it is your duty to select the best representation of your hotel. Find someone with a soul as beautiful as the rooms! They dont really make you feel welcome here. It is unfortunate.
Its cool if you have a reason to stay in the area (aka work). I personally dont like the hood but the hotel was much cooler than the big chain ones (Holiday Inn, Marriott, Hilton) on the same block. My room was a little too small and the bath room was a little too big (same size as the room almost). The downstairs coffeeshop/bar is the best!!! Highly recommended!!!
Would give 6 stars if I could third shift Francis was very helpful & professional as well as a welcoming smile, so was the bell hop third shift although I do not recall his name .When leaving bell hop Mathew Jeong and Jamie were very professional and helpful with my bags. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable ! The shower hot water lasted forever which was great after a long day of driving. We stayed 2 nights it was great and we hope to visit again soon . With that said I would highly recommend this Hotel if visiting Manhattan!
EDIT/POST-SCRIPTUM: The director replying (below) to this review finally ensured that the extra fees I was charged got refunded. As I am otherwise pretty happy with the hotel, with a few minor, but acceptable caveats, I revised my rating from a 2- to a 4-star rating.A chaotic staff with repeated organizational problems, that is clearly not putting the customer first. During my last stay, I even lost an extra 5% of the cost of my stay, due to their chaos. While the hotel refuses to refund me that money. I clearly cannot recommend this hotel to anybody, leading to the low rating (good enough, but be aware that the hotel staff is highly disorganized). Details for those interested: After staying for several days, the hotel erroneously charged a credit card I repeatedly had told them not to charge. When I noticed the issue and pointed out the mistake to the hotel, they returned the charge instead of annulling the transaction. As my credit card is in a foreign currency, however, because they did not annul the charge as they should have, now my bank charged me for the exchange fees, making me lose money worth about 5% of my stay. When we pointed out the issue to the hotel, the manager refused to see that as a reason to refund me my losses. Other issues during my stays have been: broken sockets in the rooms, malfunctioning light switches, clogged sinks, etc. (i.e., among others). So far, those petty things were a nuisance to me, but with this new issue that they “charge” me 5% for their own continuous mistakes, I am clearly disappointed by the quality and service of this hotel.
Thank you Andre for having room for us at midnight after leaving another hotel due to noise. You listened to us, and gave us a fabulous noise which allowed us a good night’s sleep. The hotel was great, and our weekend was not worried due to Andre’s diligence in making sure we got a quiet room.
Our room was small but nicely furnished. The closet was weird because the snacks are right under where the clothing should hang. Large bathroom with very pretty tile. Low water pressure on 11th floor, but maybe it was prime time for showers. Courteous staff. Wed stay there again.
The rooms are beyond small. The cost was too minimal to pass up and not upgrade. Its walking distance to major city attractions like Times Square and its surrounded by places to eat. The shuttle back to the airport was nicer. The staff was great including the front desk. All areas were spotless.
Rooms are on the small side, but everything is so carefully laid out, you dont even notice. Best part of this hotel is the location. Its near everything -- Bryant Park, Empire State Building, Madison Avenue, etc. I also appreciated that theres an umbrella in each room; came in handy when it rained.
Just visited family staying there. The room was very nice. However it has sort of 2 room spaces, one with the standard bed and such (all very nice) and then the other room was just a TV and a chair (the bedroom did have a TV as well). I mean nice to get the extra space, but I dont know what this was listed as. If it was supposed to be a suite it was kinda odd. But still, was a nice hotel.
Great location right off fifth avenue. We had requested for a room with a view and I must say that we were given a wonderful room from which the Empire State building was visible in its full glory. Loud noise all night from the adjacent stairwell and closing doors on our floor. Brynt park is so peacefull and u can have your breakfast there. I appreciate for the early check-in allowed without any charge.
The hotel itself looks good and in a good location, but the rest was not good. it starts with the fact that we were charged fully a day before we arrived. the extra bed we requested is a sofa bed no better then an army bunk bed. no batteries in the romote control, didnt fix the room until we complained about it, always something was missing, such as shampoo or cups. not a good worth for the price.
Room clean, bright but small for 2 people, even though looks like that is the standard size in NY (we had two luggage and we struggled to open both of them at the same time). Although it was said the room was soundproofed, we had some noise coming up from the street (we were on the 14th floor).Nice shops all around and safe area for the evening.
I spent my 20 yr wedding anniversary in NYC and Le Soleil made us feel right at home. Their attention to detail and the quality of service was superb! There staff was on point and the restaurant was exquisite. I highly recommend if you want a nice quite secluded Hotel in the heart of of NYC.
חדר נקי ומסודר, צוות אדיב ושירותי מאוד.1. Great location, clean2. The staff are extremely kind & nice and the reception service were very helpful. we had requests on: changing rooms, check in issues and more... and they managed to fulfill all of our requests.Thank you so much for making our staying in the hotel to be perfect.3. At the lobby hotel they have very cool band that played jazz music from time to time.
Stayed here 3 nights with children. Check in was smooth and friendly. They took security deposit for possible damage. Internet is fast and reliable. Room 604 is very small and has no place to hang winter clothes. Otherwise clean room. Good bathroom. See photos to get an idea about view to 36th street. Heating system is very noisy during night. Can be very disturbing. Also windows have weak sound isolation. Additional noise was coming from the street.
Less than a 10 minute walk to Times Sq , Macys , Empire State Bldg makes it a great location. Everything was Very clean. Last—and definitely not least—the breakfast in the cafe downstairs is superior. Bedroom was a bit small but suited us fine as we were in New York to see the sights so werent in the hotel much.
I like how the room is organized to have a separate sitting room. The staff were so accommodating with all my requests. The hotel is on 36th and 6th which was a great location for us in Midtown. Without a doubt, highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to see the Sights.
We stayed there and paid for extras for breakfast included but it was only for ONE pastry (muffin or one particular crossiant), ONE fresh fruit (orange, granny smith apple or a banana) and ONE filter coffee (cant even have a latte). We paid almost $15 pp for each day and get THAT!!! RIDICULOUS! Other than that, staffs were friendly and the room was clean but I found the chambermaids did not do their job of tidying up properly because they didnt throw away the empty coffee cups and didnt tuck the bedsheets back under. To sum it up the trip was very enjoyable apart from the breakfast.
Excellent service all around from the door greeter, checkin, daily services. Everyone takes the time to talk and get to know their guest. Room was comfortable and clean. Well accommodated for afamily. Thank you to Joseph and Luis for all your attentions. We will definitely come back. Breakfast was amazing and dietary suppotive.
Rooms need to be cleaned as all the carpet near the base boards had dirt near them. The temperature control in the room only would let the cooling go down to 75 and even when it said it was below 70 in the room it felt a lot warmer. They almost lost party of my dry cleaning because they put a different room number on it.
Rooms very nice, bit much space for clothes though! Especially if you are a business traveller and are here for 2 weeks! Breakfast not included which wasnt make clear in the booking process which has disappointing. Overall a nice ace to stay. Very clean and open, modern and comfortable.
The cleanliness of the hotel was top notch and the hotel staff accommodated to our every need. Friendly and helpful staff. The location was convenient to Heralds Square, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, public transportation, etc. I will definitely be staying here again during my visits to NYC in the future.
I had a quick overnight stay at the hotel. Hotel staff were all very friendly & helpful. Free baggage hold area at check out. The location was perfect with Penn Station and the Herald Square subway stop each just a couple of blocks away, as we spent time in Brooklyn and saw football game at the Meadowlands.
Yadira in reservations is amazing!! She went above and beyond to ensure my family was taken care of when I was planning our stay at their Hotel. Absolutely some of the best customer I’ve ever encountered. Because of her, we will be planning another trip to stay with them soon!!
I am always extremely picky about the cleanliness of a hotel and while the room was clean, the hallways could use a little more attention. There is a CVS just a few blocks away and we bought water from there during our stay. Stan was particularly helpful as was all the staff, very friendly.
Perfect little NYC hotel in the middle of Midtown. Easy to get to with Penn Station nearby and right in the middle of where we wanted to be. We loved that even though the rooms are NYC sized we had a living room and a bedroom area. More than we expected. Great service as well.

2022-05-08My mom, sister, and I visited in early May 2022 and had an amazing stay! Check-in was quick and easy. The room was nice and clean. Big walk-in shower, blackout curtains, a steamer (huge plus especially with 3 ladies that brought nice clothes with us), a small fridge, 2 bottles of water, and an umbrella. Cleaning staff was great and when we had a few issues (the umbrella in our room broke and the hair dryer wasnt working well) they were resolved super fast. The concierge Juan is a gem and the staff at the Trademark (the restaurant/bar next door) were friendly and welcoming as well. Breakfast was also super tasty. Location is great too- close to everything with lots of dining and bar options nearby. Will definitely stay again next time we come visit!

2021-12-30Weve stayed here numerous times and have always had a wonderful stay.

2022-04-26*** Update: We received this week a $50 parking ticket (bus lane parking!) from when the porter parked our car in the evening. Extremely disappointed!!! (Stars lowered)Fantastic location with everything nearby. Parking if you need. Service is great, staring with a great welcoming porter, that took care of all we needed. Bringing our luggage inside, getting our keys, and even taking us to our room.My only disappointment was about the handicapp/accessible bathroom. There was no chair in or for the shower. Using the shower flooded the whole bathroom floor. Our second time there we knew better and asked for a regular bathroom with a step in shower. Obviously still no chair, but no flooded floor either. Our thanks to everyone that works there. You are all great people. We will be back next time we go to NY!

2022-04-20Loved our stay here. We were there new years eve and was expecting the worst. We were wrong. Staff were fantastic. The rooms were clean and great, the price was quite reasonable and you cant beat the location. We were at the heart of everything, but away from the madness and noise. My only complaint is about the parking situation. It is super close and convenient but i wish you had in and out privileges.

2022-04-25I stayed at this hotel with my family in early April and it was nothing short of spectacular. The staff were personable, welcoming and accommodating and the cleanliness was excellent. The views from the rooms were stunning and the hotel is really conveniently located. I have to say, the staff were certainly the highlight of this place, they are absolutely lovely people! Thank you - I will be back!

2022-01-21Clean, cozy, great staff. Location was good, room was comfortable but slightly smaller than expected because of the large bathroom. Didnt get 5 stars because I stayed 4 nights and the room was never made. Ill blame it on Covid but I was expecting a service at least once.

2022-01-23I booked this hotel for 1 night and I loved it. I had questions and the front desk was very helpful, they attended me with kindness. Check in was smooth, loved the room. Everything was super clean. Planning on coming back during the summer and stay here again. Everything you need to see is nearby and close walking distance. 10/10

2022-06-29Many of the photos on this Google listing are actually of their Vancouver hotel which appears to be much nicer and has more amenities. The NYC location looks nothing like the photos here, Id suggest using Google street view to see reality. The rooms are dated and the carpet is quite dirty as was the coffee machine. This area of NYC has some nice restaurants, but the streets themselves are quite chaotic and dirty/smelly. Staff were mostly good, however we did ask for a kettle at one point and staff said theyd look into it and never responded, after calling a second time they were able to provide one. When we checked in we were provided very little instruction about what the hotel offered. The in-room safe is quite small and was unable to hold laptops. Bed was uncomfortable, felt very low quality.Feels more like a 3 star hotel.

2022-04-16This was our second time staying at the Executive Hotel Le Soleil and we cannot imagine staying anywhere else while in NYC! We LOVE our room; VERY clean, well lit, comfortable bedding, with a beautiful view, but most of all, we cannot say enough about the wonderful staff! Nicole, Meredith, Yadira, to just name a few! I did not know all by name, therefore I’m sorry for not mentioning the others that were so helpful in every way.We stayed in the Executive Queen Suite (on a higher level floor) with two huge windows looking out to the city.It is also convenient to many tourist attractions, of which we thoroughly enjoyed, as well as restaurants, bars, the theatre and all the amazing history Manhattan has to offer! A great place to stay!

2022-05-07We only stayed one night. The hotel is definitely conveniently located & a better price than others in the city. The room is a bit cramped & we had to wait for staff to attend to us, despite there being no line (but there may have been confusion due to a larger group standing in front of the desk chatting). Regardless, it was cozy & fit the bill!
