7/11/22 asked for Lolita Lempika which I’ve been buying for the last 12 years, the lady gave me baby oil the outside of the bottle smell with a little bit of scent that was it. Shame on her and shame on the owner they don’t know who selling their stuff I’m not a new customer
This spot is one of the best spots I’ve ever been to. This was my first time and they were Nice and kind people here, great fragrances. It’s like an emporium for oils, it was like I was in a toy store but for oils 😭. Great place , it’s a must go if you’re in search for your oils. They supply containers , burners, you name it.

I love coming here when it come to buy oils, incense and other types of fragrances. I have been coming to this place for years and I come all the way from the bronx just to buy. There us another place I go to in Brooklyn but this place have a very large. There soaps are really nice and the shop keeper are very helpful. When I come i always buy a large amount because I never know when Im going to come back .

It’s a pretty small place. They keep the doors lock and you have to wait for someone to leave to enter I am assuming due to the panorama. On Google it says they’re open on Sundays but they’re not. When you go inside they have all sort of store policy signs. One says purchases are final so please sample before buying. But then they only allow you to try 3 scents out. Out of hundreds I’m supposed to just guess how the others smell. What kind of nonsense. They say it’s for safety reasons. How? Maybe it’s to eliminate the amount of time you spend in the store or limit how many of the sample sticks they use. Either way it was a very disappointing experience. Also the woman that helped me wasn’t all that friendly. I ended up only buying one scent from there. If they allowed me to smell more they might have gotten more purchases out of me

Every scent you can think of are in this place. The accessories are exotic, the creams, lotions, massage oils are heavenly. The staff is courteous, professional and most all, happy to happy to help their clients.

This is my favorite oil spot and I’ve been buying for them for 10 years. The people that work their are always kind and very helpful. I understand they have a new policy of smelling only 3 samples because of the pandemic but what I do is have a name or images of a perfume I love and they offer me something similar to it. So if your new think about what perfume you like/want or go to Macy, ultra or Sephora and try as much perfume as you like and take a picture of it. And their prices are so affordable. They also sell lotions, body butter and soaps.

Ultimately the best place to buy perfume oils and design fragrances made exclusively for you and a fraction of the cost. The staff are knowledgeable and know how to help service their customers wants and needs sometimes even if the customer is not quite sure. I fly in yearly to visit, restock and explore new scents.
Very annoying that their hours of operation is not updated. I drove all the way from jersey on Sunday because their hours say Monday through Sunday. When I almost got there I called to see if they had a specific fragrance to realize their phone hours say they are NOT open on Sunday. Waste my time and gas .

I visited this store yesterday, December 8th and left with a wealth of information about oil blending, pairing of fragrances and some really beautiful oils. Never knew there was such a thing as cosmetic alcohol...Hence, Ive learned how to create my own parfum equivalent to Baccarat!! I am overjoyed and beyond thankful to the older gentleman who wore glasses and called me Sister. A very good store in the beautiful heart of Spanish Harlem.

They have the BEST fragrances in the Tri-state area. Shipping is pricey, so I recommend finding the time to take the local subway train or drive over to the store personally you wont be disappointed. Parking is iffy, but I usually find something right next to the store.

They air in the store will transport you and you may lose fpcus on what ypu came fpr justa moment. Then you meet the staff amd they guide you gently back the counter to attend your actual requst. The prices are reasonable amd you always get a little something free for certain amounts spent min. Over all one of my favorite retail experience
This is the best place to buy fragrancesI literally have been wearing there fragrance for 25 years and longer .its not watered down and you can put it on in the morning and your still scented in the evening.
My Sister and I took a trip on Exotic Fragrances Inc after seeing all of the wonderful reviews here on google. Let me tell you sis, they DID NOT disappoint. Angelo helped us and not only was he extremely kind and patient, he suggested a few recommendations (which were bomb)! What I love is that you can make any oil into a spray bc I love me some options chilee. I cannot stop recommending this place to my friends. I love fragrance and the prices and selection CANNOT be beat. 10/10 would recommend. Looking forward to our next trip, will be ordering online in the meantime :)

Been a customer for years, but my last visit leads me to believe that a great effort to water-down the products is in action to make more money. I find that despicable! Good customers deserve more than that. If I purposefully take time to travel there for good smelling oils, I dont expect it to be diluted with a non-fragrant carrier oil that completely diminishes the smell!!!

Update: Was great at first not sure what happened.I’m very upset I ordered two bottles of my favorite fragrance to stock up when I ran out. It was a month before the pandemic hit. I did not use them because I still had more left from a previous purchase. When I open the bottles the smell was very faint no way near the one I always purchase. I went in ask for my favorite fragrance and ended up with a water down oil. It smells horrible I have no idea what this is. I have contacted the store they told me I need to open the bottles and let them air out. They also suggest I shake them up and transfer the oil into a different bottle. I did everything and still the same. I spent over a 100.00 in the store that day. I have purchase before with no issues at all. If they are trying to save money while cheating customers that is not fair at all. I have not been back and probably will not. They have lost a good customer

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. What I ordered from them was absolutely unacceptable.Strawberry-Mango (U) (Type) - 16oz/1 lb Scented Shea Body ButterCashmere Mist (L) (Type) - 16oz/1 lb Scented Lotion.... these two items i had to throw away.Not only did they NOT smell good nor like the description, but the quality was very very poor.I will NEVER EVER order from this company again. I will also discourage my friends from wasting their money here either!!

My fragrance on & they love my smell!!!Everywhere I go people ask what Im wearing, you smell so good. This is the answer, Ive been purchasing my oils from Exotic for over 12 years I refuse to buy oils from anywhere else. Ive made plenty a believer and put them on to the game even from Delaware, which is where Im taking up residence now. I proudly pay that shipping fee, but when Im home in my city I stop for the experience and the love. You cant help but stop in with the fragrances flowing through the train station.
They have a great selection. Found a lot of oils I was looking for and others that I didnt even know I needed. The only reason Im not giving them a full 5 star is because they can be a little pricy if you are looking to bulk up on oils but other than that I am satisfied and will be returning.
I just received my order in the mail. I ordered Daisy and Daisy Love. They seemed more watered down than I would have expected. They were 5$ a piece for 1 oz. (not bad....but)... Then I bought the alcohol which was 10$. Then shipping was 20$!!!! Ill end up spending another $10 on the bottles I have to put them in. 50 bucks total for dupes. I would say they smell sorta similar but not exact. So take their word for it when they say inspired by. Also, when they arrived the oil had leaked out a bit. Not sure it was worth it. For an extra $20 I could have bought the real deal on fragrance net.

I have never been to or seen this store despite having lived in the area for the past 8 years. I saw the store when I was on my way to another place and was very interested from the outside, as there are bottles of perfumes and oils everywhere. From talking to one of the people who work there this place has been in that same space for the past 40 years, which is very uncommon nowadays in New York City. I purchased a small fragrance that smelled like a summer beach day which is a little break from a cold night in New York. I will definitely be bringing my mom here the next time she comes to visit as they have literally hundreds of different scents with which you can buy just the oil or have them put whatever oil you want in a lotion, cream, or any other type of thing you can imagine. Pretty cool.
My parents been ordering from this company over some years now. When I received my oils I realized they were watered down. Usually when you wear oils they last all day. The ones I received in the mail only lasts a hr or two. This company didn’t even acknowledge my feedback and basically claim I was lying. I will never purchase from them again.

I ordered a case of incense on 7/26/17 from the company and received an email saying I would receive my order on 8/3/18. So here it is 8/3/18 and no incense (mind you this is the second time this has happened, but I was willing to give them another try since its been over a year). I called the company and spoke to a woman that said they are waiting for the incense and they dont have them in stock. So, my question to her was why did I receive an email saying they would arrive on the 3rd if they dont even have the merchandise in the store. I told her I have a business just like she does, and they are holding me up from doing what I need to do I already have waited a week. I could tell she really didnt care that her company dropped the ball. She apologized talking about someone forgot to notify me. First, if you dont have an item in the store it should state that on their website, so the customer would know its on back order and can make the decision whether they want to wait on the order or use another vendor. This company has poor customer service and poor communication. They will not be getting my business anymore. I dont get my package on time, but they didnt have ANY problem taking my money on time.PART#2 it is now 8/6/18 and I called the company wanting to know when my package was going to be shipped. She said, oh I was just about to call you. I know that was a lie, she proceeded to say that she contacted the shipper and they dont have a driver to deliver the package to them, so she has no choice but to cancel my order and refund my money. ATTENTION BUSINESS OWNERS if you are looking for a reliable company to do online business with this is NOT the company. Now I cant speak for the physical store but as far as online they dont know how to conduct business. I have used this company for years and they have gone downhill.

I will never purchase from this company in the future. My mother and I purchased electric oil burners and oils from this establishment. Upon arriving home we noticed though one of the oil burners we had purchased turned on, it was not heating the oil as well as our other oil burners. It seemed to be a defect in regards to the design of the burner (the halogen light was further away from the plate than the other burners wed purchased). We enjoyed the other burners and figured we could just exchange it for a different burner the very next day. I went to the establishment, on the corner of 104th and Lexington and expressed the issue to a rather rude and nonchalant woman. She asked for my receipt of purchase then immediately told me there were no refunds or exchanges. Why ask for the receipt then? Working in the customer service industry for over 10 years Ive grown to realize that companies who do not honor refunds or exchanges know they carry defective or malfunctioning inventory. Be very wary when making a purchase of an oil burner. The fragrances smell great but there is no guarantee your electric oil burner will work when you get home. Yes they will plug it in for you but it isnt burning oil so you will not know if the actual product is doing its job.
UPDATE: I bought my favorite, came back home (3 hours away!) To find they watered down the oil! Im obviously VERY upset! Why treat anyone like this, Sooner or later they gonna loose customers! Sad cause it had potential!LOVE this place. Scented Oil in any which way you want. My favorite is Lemon Verbana! Wished they had a shop near me!

Mohammed is Amazing. The Oils smell so good. Prices are great and they always have the product you are looking for. If you want to go call ahead to double check. Come with your list and get the scent you need.
This place is less well-stocked and more expensive than Madina, but the staff are more attentive to what you are, specifically, ordering. I think they are probably less physically coordinated since they do not fill tiny bottles from huge class jugs, but instead keep tiny plastic bottles around.Its also far more accessible for people who are not from Brooklyn.

I consider this as the second best fragrance shop in the City. I shop here when I cant get to the shop I consider #1. Have been making purchases here since 1994, when they were located on 97th and Lexington. They relocated to this area after a fire, and has been there since.

This company has a good selection of scents, and based on the scents I purchased, the grade quality of the oil was better than my purchases from other companies. My issues are as follows1. This company should ship to a US P.O. Box. Not everyone can sit around the house and wait for UPS.2. One product I ordered was the wrong size, and one was out of stock, however my invoice didnt reflect that. I was still charged as if all 3 of my products were shipped. I called the company to resolve and was told that the product was on back order and will be shipped but no word on an time frame, and furthermore, I would have to take another day off from work to stay home to sign for this additional shipment, plus pay to ship back the incorrect size. The company did nothing to make up for dropping the ball on their end. So great quality products, and pretty good selection however customer service is poor. Unfortunately my experience soured me on this company.

Great place to get oils of hundreds of different fragrances & different types of incense. The also sell candle holders, incense holders & the like. The staff are knowledgeable & all helpful. i go there regular to purchase small bottles or glass roll-on perfume holders.
I have been going to this store over 20 years because regular perfume breaks me out that said let me add that there would hardly be a day when someone wouldnt ask me what scent I was wearing and Id proudly say its an oil. I live in New Jersey and so enamored am I with these products, for last 10 years Id make the journey quarterly to see about new fragrances and replenish my favorites...there are few times when I wouldnt spend well over a hundred dollars gladly. Then, within the last year the products All changed. Id apply my oils as usual and within two to three hours the scent was gone. First I thought it was me but because Im asked so frequently for the name, type and/or where I get it I made gifts of them and have only recently, gotten the same remarks...it lasts no more than three hours at best and Im used to bathing it off at night. What happened? I spent a lot of money for what WAS a great product. Id just like someone in management to explain the problem before I take my business, my friends business, my co workers business as well as my family business elsewhere. Needless to say i can only give one star....10 years ago it would have been TEN! I am disappointed, disgruntled and dismayed even a bit angry as three to four hundred dollars a year may be small change to Exotic Fragrances but for an inferior product its almost thievery.
They are usually pretty consistent with oil quality and Ive never gotten a bad oil from them but now I see reviews stating that the Aventus is off and needs to be addressed but no remark from the owners as to that has or ever will happen.

I love, love Exotic Fragrances, I have been ordering all my oils from them for years, I go under unisex oils, and get the Tunisian frankincense, myrrh, patchouli. I also love the opium, white linen, white sandalwood, lemon, I love them all, the quality of the oils cannot be beat, nice fragrance, thick not watered down and very reasonable priced and the shipping cost is reasonable too, the packaging the oils come in is also very well stacked so you dont have to worry about your oils spilling. I am a fan and customer for life!!

Decent vibes. Speedy service. Prices could be better. They dont take American Express either. Parking was not an issue. I ordered eucalyptus and cactus flower oil. The cactus flower oil is strong enough but the eucalyptus is weaker than the pure essential oils ive gotten elsewhere. After using in the diffuser I wont be using the oils again. I dont know what they used but they used a thick carrier oil that gunked up my diffuser. Ill go back to pure essential oils instead.

50% of the perfume oils I ordered have particles floating in them. The plastic bottles I ordered did not have tops and about 25% of the plastic bottles have scratches on them and look dirty. Not usable. I now have to try to clean the containers to make them usable and I am waiting another week for the lids to arrive, which I will not be surprised if they dont come. I imagine these products are coming from a dirty warehouse with very little oversight. Waste of time and money. You lost a customer!

I have been long time bulk buyer from exotic fragrances inc for over 20 years now.i just recently purchased a medium size order of 300 plus dollars which arrived quickly. the purchase online was a little frustrating,the program needs updating but this isnt my dissatisfaction with the company. back in the 80s even to the early 2000s their oils were far superior then any other oil company in all 5 boroughs of Nyc. it took just a few drops here and there and u where in fragrance heaven and all those you would come in contact with would experience the delight of ur aroma and the scent will last for hours .this order I recieved on 12/2018 the same oils I would normal purchase were much much thinner and more liquidy with a greasy texture like baby oil .the scent from the open oil bottles were very light and weak and once applied the smell vanished Quite quickly. the superior aroma and reasonable price is what use to be that attracted so many consumers but now their prices has tripled for the same oils .a 16oz bottle ran anywhere from 15 to 25 depending on fragrance of course now runs a minimal of $50 and more.my arguement is they have tripled the prices and thin out the oils all for profit. which in turns kills their reputation as decent supplier of natural and good oils. I guess its time to put exotic fragrances to rest for me and family and search for a more reliable Suppliers of quality oil fragrance products. R.I.P exotic fragrances I pray for a resurrection of your products .thank you

This is the best place to go get your name brand oil to either wear burn etc.. the staff is friendly.. I been going there for 10 years and I recommend this placr you can get your oil in a body butter and great gift to get any one and prices are great.. compare a 100 dollar purfume u buy a set for close to 40 and last a while the scent last a while

Been going to them for years!! No matter where Im living, I travel to get my oils from them. Going on 13 years. I tell anyone who wants to know where I get my fragrances from. Most people are shocked when I tell them its an oil and not cologne. People at work know when Im around... Lol. Even if I leave the office. My little ones teachers and staff say the same thing about her. They tell me she smells so good every day. Last but not least, the oils do last all day on me. The costs are reasonable and the selections are very vast. I use Mens oils like Dark Blue, Curve Crush, Polo Red to name a few in my arsenal. For my daughter, I use those, Paris Hilton, Halle Berry, or Bonbon. They even have the classic Egyptian Musk.. I have that one too. The staff is helpful and they know their stock. They also have brochures to help you if there is a certain scent youre looking for. They also have samples of oils to test. So all in all is a win - win. You still come out of there smelling like a 🌹 if thats a scent you enjoy while discovering new ones. Blessings
Customer Service Retail manager is soooooooo unprofessional! I ordered two bottles of oil, paid for them, was charged for them and received only one of the bottles. Called about the other bottle and was told it was on back order. Very unpleasant with me when I called to inquire about it.
They almost have it all in fragrance oils. Great prices and the staff is very knowledgeable. Can get busy during any visit.

2022-03-21I love this place. I have never had a bad experience here. The customer service is amazing, very pleasant, and knowledgeable. I went in the store thinking I was going to get a certain fragrance, when I smelled it, it wasn’t the fragrance I was looking for. Once I told the employee it’s not this one, but the name is similar, she knew exactly which fragrance I was looking for and even made some great suggestions. Great experience.

2022-03-22I love this place!!!! I’ve been coming here for years they have everything the quality is exceptional since starting to come here I have never gone to a regular department store. They have stuff that you wouldn’t believe and long lasting you must come to Harlem so Lexington Avenue 104th St. it’s a must see. When I come to New York I make it my business to stop here everyone is hospitable Mr. Mohamad Mr. Manuel and Nora are amazing I love them

2022-06-07Would have given a zero if I could have- tried to give them a chance but they blew it, they refused to send out my order because my billing address did not match my shipping- hello, do you live under a rock - people move . I did not care for the associate that called himself assisting me, people need real training on customer service skills, especially when you own a business. They claim a call was sent out to me -well according to my telephone history-there is no sign of one. You don’t mind taking my money from my card, let’s see how soon it gets refunded back. I don’t write this review to disparage anyone else, who may want to try them-but this was my first and last experience with them, there are plenty of places around that sell these types of oils and probably better quality and customer service skills. Exotic fragrances do not have to worry about my services anymore. You only get one shot to prove to me why your business stands out from the rest, and should be my go too. Needless to say they failed.
