They have such great staff and rates! Helped me yo get just the space I needed wail making the process as painless as possible. Definitely would recommend to co workers, family and friends.

This location has gone down hill very fast ever since Zowie is no longer there the service is terrible more people sleeping in units, more theft, and bad customer service i differently will not be returning the customer service is just disrespectful now.
I was immediately welcomed by Zowie’s bright personality she honestly made my day better she was very helpful showed me units helped me decide what I really needed the property was very clean compared to before fare I say she’s a star performer and the prices are reasonable I’ll never forget that experience look forward to seeing her and my unit again

Worst storage locker they will steal your belongings from you. And hide the camera footage. Stay away very bad experience.

2022-05-03I was looking for a self storage place to store items for a few months. I tried another company in the area but they did not return phone calls. I called Extra Space New Customer # and Angela handled everything for me over the phone. After the application process I spoke with Fred the manager at the Albany Extra Space Storage. He was so helpful answering all my questions and made the process so easy.

2022-07-03I previously wrote a review the day after I booked my storage unit on how friendly the slaesman was etc. I was told there would be construction on the storage units which would change operating hours to 9-5:30 mon- saturday. However, for someone who works it meant I was unable to visit my storage unti at all. The month of construction went on indefinitely and is still going on and I had to take a day off of work in order to collect my things. I also got charged an extra month even though I spoke with the representative to terminate my unit. They unit was fine but the service was terrible

2022-07-26I have a unit at the Amsterdam NY location. They charged my payment to someone elses credit/debit card. They insisted that I initiated a dispute with my bank and thats why my payment was charged back to me and were threatening to lock me out of my unit. When I checked my account, there was no credit and my bank had no record of me making a dispute. After I checked the last 4 digits of my card that is on file for my payments, I figured out that they charged someone elses card because it did not match the last four digits the representitive told me it was charged to. If I had not figured this out, they would have locked me out of my unit that I paid for. I did not even receive an apology for their error. I lost time from work investigating this, not to mention the aggrivation it caused me. Terrible company. As a realtor, I will never recommend this company to any clients in need of a storage unit. I cannot wait to close on my new home and get my belongings out of there.

2022-05-29Unbelievably, nightmarishly bad experience. I rented a uhaul and drove 2 hours on Memorial Day weekend to move belongings. When I arrived the gate did not open. Surprise, they had changed the hours to be closed on sundays. When I called the number listed at the office there was no answer and I haven’t heard back. I called the corporate customer service center, who told me they couldn’t help because I’m not the primary account holder. I had my fiancé, the primary account holder call, and they told her there’s nothing they could do. I called back, and got the original person I had spoken with, who told me they might be able to reach the manager. So I had my fiancé call and wait 30 minutes to try again. Well this time she got the correct person who reached out to the “escalation specialist” named Destiny. However, she stated there was nothing she could do.That ruined my holiday weekend.I guess I would’ve expected them to be able to make an exception given they changed the hours without notifying the customers and the massive inconvenience that caused me. AND many of their storage units are open on sundays, this one being an exception because of reported thefts. But if you were thinking, like me, that in todays America, private equity owned company’s like this are capable of managing anything with the smallest shred of humanity. You’d be wrong. They’ll ruin your holiday, jack up your rent and say “not my problem” too.

2021-08-18When I walked into the storage facility at 1025 Central Ave, Albany, NY, I was immediately greeted by Nicole. She smiled, made eye contact, and asked how she could help me. She was friendly and welcoming. Nicole was also very professional and knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I would give Nicole a 5-star rating in her customer service performance.
