First impressions - check! Ivy and I believe JD on the phone were tremendous in making sure onboarding was as hassle-free and transparent as possible. I must also add that on moving day, Ivy was there to go above and beyond - not just the paperwork and storage unit tour but even to help move my boxes up the stairs and into the unit! A+ service and a happy customer left smiling. Thank you.

Absolutely great experience, highly recommended if you are looking for an easy moving and storage process with great customer service, someone who listens and not tell you what you want or need I would say ExtraSpace Storage at 155 Empire Blvd is your place especially if you get the opportunity to work with JD ask for him, that’s your guy thanks to him I got fee waivers and super happy with my unit. Rent your space from them you wouldn’t be disappointed.

Had a great experience booking a rental space at this location. Jean was kind, helpful and answered all of my questions prior to renting the space. He gave me a tour of the facility and showed me exactly what the storage locker looks like prior to going home and making a reservation online. Extraordinary and beyond. I came into the store just half an hour a go with my mom who is a very skeptical person. We met Steffon Lewis who greats us with a brilliant smile, he was very patient, he answered all her questions, explained every aspect of the procedure step by step. He then took us to view a couple of the units, he finally after being crossed questioned by both of us settled on a unit. He then gave us the opportunity to consider our options, then took us back to the main office to handle the paper work. He was extremely professional, my mom felt comfortable giving him her card and agreed to a set date for payments. We left feeling totally satisfied and very happy we choose this facility to store our belongings . I would 100% recommend this facility and but make sure Steffon is your rep 🎉

Highly recommended. Great staff and very clean. Never used a storage space before but a couple of months ago my Husband and I decided to get one at this location and Jean made this process a breeze. He answered every question and gave valuable information. My Husband and I went back for another unit and thanks to Jeans excellent customer service again👌 we got great deals and we have so much extra space in our home now. No complaints.

This location was supposed to be open at 10am! There were multiple people waiting to access their items forever. No one answered the phone, no one texted and no one came. They had elderly waiting in the freezing cold because they were not open at the right time. Today is not a holiday!! Super disappointed with their customer service. Treat us like the loyal customers we are.~~~~~~Update~~~~I received a call from management inquiring about my review. Management apologized and explained the location was closed because multiple staff members were sick. They were also kind enough provide me with a credit.

On this day 01/08/22, I Lord, Minster Romel M. Brewster, experienced the best customer service I have ever experienced so far in using storage spaces. Thanks to Marilyn, whom by the way was very knowledgeable in the layout of the units and how they can be suited to my needs. Marilyn was attentive to my requirements and concerns as a business owner and was able to address them with full confidence and understanding as I have had horrible service else where at other storage companies which I would not disparage, however during the walk through at this location with Marilyn, I observed a clean, well lite facility with knowledgeable, attentive and understanding staff and air quality to breath for(Good air circulation). Hey Corporate, you need to give Marilyn a promotion and raise, she showed me 3 units and was patient during my decision making. she’s amazing and thanks to her I switched my company’s storage options from your competitor to your company, isn’t that wonderful? Awesome place. You can back right into a loading area, they provide furniture carts, and it is easy to get to your unit. Reasonable prices, especially for the upper cubby units.I wouldnt have written a review just for that, but in additional to all of the above I received superb customer service by the assistant manager Ed. He was friendly, helpful, and made the move-in and move-out processes both great!
JD was the first person we spoke with after signing up using the web site. He was personable, informative and helpful. When we arrived we were unsure of what to do and JD within seconds helped us! This was our first time to the unit and his assistance was greatly appreciated. If he represents the type of people who work here we know we are in great hands. A few weeks back I got a small unit here (5x5x4) to shove some stuff that I needed to store after a move and consolidating homes. There are about four options for storage all within a few blocks of each other and I wanted to choose one because that are walking distance from my home. At first, I was a little unsure about Extra Space because the price for a storage locker was so much lower than comparable units in the area.Ultimately, I dropped by to view the unit in person because the height was not listed online, and to ask a few questions confirming access to the space.The folks in the office were excellent in showing me units available and talking about options with me. I was all set to go only 20 minutes after arriving. The space is new and clean which makes it nice but there are a few drawbacks.Firstly, access hours are relatively limited and it can be quite busy during that time. The storage lockers are actually set on top of 8 high units and require a step ladder to access them. There is only one ladder available on each floor which means if someone else is using it you may have to wait. I did have an issue with this recently when I came to drop off one box just before closing and wasnt able to do so because someone else was using the ladder and having a fight about it at the same time. Certainly quite colorful.Overall, this is a good deal for storage space and comparable or better than anything else in the area.

There are several storage companies in very close proximity to each other so I visited all of them before deciding. Storage units are storage units but I really appreciated the customer service and friendliness at Extra Space. JD went out of his way to make me feel comfortable, answer all my questions, not make me feel rushed and not oversell anything. Thinking of where to store all your belongings is stressful and knowing that you will be working with professionals who are a pleasure to deal with makes it so much easier. Finalizing everything over the phone with JD was an equally great experience, he answered all my questions and walked me through the process. Very much appreciated. Already very happy about my decision before actually utilizing the unit yet.
Im sure you can imagine that during a pandemic, living in New York wasnt the most ideal or cost effective anymore. Thankfully I found Extra Space Storage as I made my sad exit out of New York with no idea of when I would return but paying for a storage unit just seemed smarter than paying an exorbitant amount of rent.Things were going great but then I got a price increase with no real notification of the increase. I called to inquire and it was all explained to me thoroughly, I just wish I knew that I was expecting this either via a phone call or email since everything was communicated online anyhow.I got off the phone and accepted the increase but 24 hours later, I got a call from JD, a manager at the location that my storage unit is at. He said he saw in my notes from the person I spoke on the phone with that I was unaware of no prior notice and wanted to apologize on their behalf. He was then going to see what they were able to offer as far as the new price increase to ensure I had the unit I needed at the price that was cost effective to me. I mean, talk about going above and beyond! Not only did the gentleman make notes about our call, but then to get a call later about it to make sure essentially that I was happy with all the updated info, well I was so grateful to say the least.JD was such a pleasure to work with and I am so appreciative of his understanding and care when it came to what I needed and my concerns. I know this is a long review but during times like this, sometimes a little care, even if its a stranger to a stranger, really meant a lot and went a long way.Thank you JD for all of your help! It really helps and I am so very grateful.Definitely go to Extra Space Storage if you want your belongings held in the right hands. I hope this review helps anyone that may be going through tough times and make it a smidge easier :)Diem
I had a great experience with Extra Space Storage! I chose them because of price, reviews, and how close they were to my apt. Very affordable and customer service is excellent. Only downside is sometimes you have to wait for the step ladder while others are using it. They also tack on insurance which wasnt explained to me online or over the phone, but in retrospect I appreciate having it. It was an additional $11/month for me. But overall I highly recommend using them.

I haven’t actually used my unit yet so I will revisit this once I have but I did want to say that the service o got from JD in my many weeks trying to plan and reserve the units that I need, has been excellent. He follows up, is thoughtful and genuinely wants to help—it’s been very much appreciated in a stressful time for everyone.

Is Monday afternoon And Maryland and Maryland was off very great help to me my locker on the second floor gets stuck she hurt me a lot to get it removed so I’m greatly appreciate it and no one have a rug or the way in the stores like this to help me to get it moved onto River recommend anyone to the storage thank you very much
I had two weeks between when I moved out of my old apartment and into a new one, so was in need of temporary storage space. Extra Space Storage was my answer! Easy to understand the sizes and prices. They helped me when I wanted to look at the size of the space before signing on.It was simple, easy and efficient! The service and the cleanliness of the facility made what could have been two stressful moves that much easy. Both moving companies I used also could quickly and easily navigate the space.
Jean helped me get into a storage unit with just web sign-ups and a short follow-up call. When I saw him in person he was extremely patient even while serving multiple people. Extra space storage made my move simple and easy. Thanks Jean!

The place is extremely neat and clean, they have all of the safety measures in place to make you feel safe with COVID-19, and their staff is very friendly, understanding and accommodating. I had a light issue with the original rental unit I had selected online, and they very quick to help me get a new/more adequate unit, with no hassle. If looking for storage, I highly recommend this facility!

What a phenomenal experience! The level of white glove treatment is amazing because there a storage facility. From showing me how to access the facility, looking for an alternative space and young lady showing me how to use the padlock. Im happy my inventory will be under their watchful eye.

With all the stress of moving in and out that i have gone throughout my life I can for certain say that this process was the easiest and cheapest mainly due to Ms.Chantel who ensured that I got the best rate that was available and due to me having a busy day and a lot of items I would have to keep leaving and coming back and she did not seem aggravated at all and welcomed me with smiles throughout the day that I encountered her. I also admire how all the correct safety precautions were being took to prevent the spread of the virus. So pleased with this experience. This was our second stop in what was supposed to be a 3 stop storage unit tour. We never made it to the third stop after we met Amanda at Extra Space Storage. The facility was so nice and clean and the prices were less than half of the first place we visited. We toured the units and the best part was we were able to reserve a unit for the following week without putting any money down or starting our lease til we moved in!They go above and beyond and Amanda was awesome! Saturday I had a great experience I looked at some units from a Manager named Steffon he was very helpful in answering all the questions that I asked. He had a great personality really upbeat.
Had the most amazing experience at this facility. My situation was complicated and rather than turning me away Leo did everything he could think of to help me. The location is clean and do not have that storage facility smell. They are well accommodating, they have a parking lot and most of all they have a garage where you can simply pull in and unload. They also have a state of the art security system that is better than all their competitors. I am extremely happy that i have switched from TSI to this facility best decision i have made.

The staff made the contactless entry very easy and the instructions on how to enter were crystal clear. The first month free is a nice perk, but they do have some fees (required insurance, processing) so be aware it’s not completely free. There are also only two loading docks, so you may need to wait to load/unload. The facility seems very clean and our unit was ready when we got there.
We appreciated our service here - Eduardo helped us look at several spaces to find the one that was the right fit, and helped us through several of our own logistical challenges.Parking here is also so east with the lot.I’d recommend!
Space is clean and easy to access. Online booking was simple as well as the tour and remote leasing of the unit. Ive had no issues getting in and out of my unit. Staff is always on site, though stay distant during COVID.
Amanda was quick & efficient, & explained everything to me—a first-time renter. The actual units are clean & well-kept, brightly-lit, & the staff took precautions to avoid COVID exposure. Ill have to visit my unit often over the next six months & I look forward to the smooth experience it will be. :)

Moving is such a stressful thing. And I’m sure everyone dread it like I do. We had so much things to deal with so I’m just super glad that we encountered Leo who went above and beyond to accommodate us. We arrive 10 minutes before closing and had a couple things that was going to require us to stay 20 extra minutes, we all know when the work day is done all you want to do is go home but he was friendly and helped us with everything we needed to make sure all of our stuffs were stored quickly and safely. Thank you so much Leo you were a God sent. I would have love to do more than just this review ( like speak to a manager to explain how awesome he was) thanks again Leo.

I recently opened a storage unit rental with Extra Space Storage and the customer service has been amazing so far. I havent rented a space before, but the team made sure I had everything I needed and answered all questions I had with such kindness and patience!Just this past week I was returning to brooklyn after a work assignment and needed to drop off equipment before heading home. I got stuck in traffic on my return and was worried I wasnt going to make it to the unit in time. I didnt know what I would do with the gear since I had no other place to store it! So I called Extra Space and let them know I was going to arrive close to closing time. Chantel answered and assured me that she would keep the office open since i was in a bind. When I arrived she greeted me cheerfully and was very patient as I unloaded my car. I was very grateful for Chantels kindness and willingness to help. She saved the day!
Total life saver! A competitor wouldnt accept my foreign passport as ID without providing other docs. Called ExtraSpace and was putting stuff in my unit within 30 minutes. Both Ricardo at the call center and Eduardo at the desk were suuuuuuper helpful and kind.

Shaniqua, the manager, was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. She took the time to go over every option to make sure we were getting the best and most useful deal for our needs. The facility is brand new, clean, and brightly lit. Great to have parking as well as a covered loading bay.

I like the fact that my Agent took the time to show me all of the lockers I wanted to see the downfall of the storage is that they do not already have moving trucks available I had to call outside sources that charge a lot

If I ever need to use a storage space again I would definitely use Extra Space Storage on Empire Blvd. Didn’t interact with the staff as much. But whenever I did have a question or concern about something they were right there to help and answer my and lead a helping hand.
Leo and Amanda did an excellent job assisting with my storage needs. They did a great job describing the agreement and thorough with any questions that I had.
They are very expensive, they would rent you a space for $30 per month. But then after a month or 2 the space is now $15-20 MORE. RIDICULOUS

2022-05-04Amazing customer service! JD, Marilyn, and Isaac, are a team not to be played with! Their professionalism, kindness, and respect for not only their customers but the building, goes without saying but I’ll say it anyway, amazing! Positive energy from their youngest to their oldest renters this team answers all your questions and the recommendations are helpful as well. Marilyn recommended I pay for my unit for the year so I can lock in my rate loved it! Did exactly that a few days after inquiring. Thanks for the info. JD kept the place up to par! And also was able to fill in any blanks missing. Isaac was there to help I’m any way he could, especially when the others weren’t around. It’s hard to tell the leader out of the three because boy oh boy do they do their job! Best part it doesn’t even look like it’s a job it seems as if they enjoy coming to work even on rainy days. Location is as great as the staff. I don’t know what else to say but I won’t stop giving their credit!

2022-04-21I’ve been with extra storage space for almost one year! I have 0 complaints! Staff is amazing. Always ready and willing to help! I can’t recall their names but everyone I’ve interacted with have been exceptional! The facility is awesome. The company communicates very well in regards any changes or updates. Thank you for being awesome! So awesome that I paid another year in advance! Just one one thing….is it possible to add an additional ladder to the floor. I know it’s not the largest space but I feel as though it would be helpful and limit the overlap. Still 5 stars! I’ve only ran into this one time and I was super okay with waiting that day but, I can only imagine how it may creat an inconvenience.

2022-03-29Today, JD helped me handle a few things, and his kindness and professionalism kept me calm on a tough day.I needed storage since my home flooded. I was so stressed, but the folks here are always really professional, and everyone continues to be so kind and friendly. (This is my third month storing things here).The facility is unbelievably clean and well lit, so I felt comfortable keeping my possessions there.I’ve never used storage before, so I really appreciated how they have made my chaotic situation feel less stressful.

2022-06-14I helped a friend with her storage unit. She opened up an account with extra space storage.. She had a basement level unit which is very spacious, clean with bright lights inside the building. I was pleasantly surprised. They even have a waiting area which was very inviting. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

2022-06-22The team at Empire have a wonderful sales woman named Ivy. She was influential in my decision process because she was attentive. My mom and I had questions and she was knowledgeable. When we returned to finish the reservation process she was consistent with the information given. We truly appreciate her and are glad we chose extra space storage.
