So after a terrible rodent infestation experience with Safeguard Storage, I was fortunate enough to find Extra Space Storage just a mile or so away. After scouting out this location, my fears were quickly put to rest after speaking with their friendly and knowledgeable staff.First off, the manager, Eric, is super helpful, friendly and customer focused. He addressed my concerns and questions and gave me a great price on my unit.The rest of the staff are great too, the facility is clean, climate controlled, easily accessible, and most importantly to me, rodent free.I highly recommend renting a unit at Eric’s location. They definitely go the extra mile to keep their customers happy.

Service is very courteous and helpful but the rates are a bit too high plus the code for entering the premises is too long and extremely hectic everytime you walk in. They should have a rfid card or tag for customers to scan as n enter the premises.

I had an amazing experience at this establishment today. Eric helped us with everything we needed to move. He helped us to work with the U-haul company across the street, and got us the perfect storage room for our belongings. He even joked around with us and made us feel comfortable.I recommend anyone that is looking for a storage place in the area to use this establishment.

I’ve been using this Extra Space Storage for approx 3-4 years now. I love the staff. The facility is clean. I haven’t had any bad experiences with rodents or bugs. I also don’t store anything that would attract them. I’ve used Extra Space for both work and for personal use and I’m satisfied with the service every time.Eric, the manager, always makes sure that I have what I need when moving in and moving out. The staff is equally helpful and always make themselves available.I’ve used other storage facilities in this area and never get the same level of service. I am a dedicated loyal customer and only use Extra Space, no matter what city I’m in.
I’ve have had a lot of experiences from different storage locations but the Elmont location is the best with all the workers always ready and available to assist with smiles on their faces just makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. Also always smells amazing and clean, it honestly doesn’t get better than this location.

Best experience at a self storage. I needed a unit on a moments notice, and it was all taken care of in twenty minutes. Brianna J walked me through the process and she answered all of my questions. What a difference a day makes. The storage place is clean and well kept. I have another storage space at this location. The service was exceptional with Eric and team. I had to go in to get my second space and the gentleman (I use that very loosely) asked me if the lady i was with the lady that was already being helped. He never introduced himself, walked really fast and far ahead of me to the elevator then started yelling right this way. I explained that I have a bad ankle and I cant walk as fast. He said people say I walk slow instead of correcting his behavior. Then I had to follow his voice to my storage location once off the elevator. He very abruptly open the space then walked away. I wanted to ask a question but he was already condescending in his responses. I waited for the young lady to come back. After about 5 minutes waiting there. He said and youre waiting for what. Thank goodness the young lady came back. Note to self wait for someone else. Ive never been treated so rudely. He shouldnt walk with people.

I always drove by and never noticed this place but it is very large, clean and has a variety of different storage sizes for whatever your needs may be. Prices are also very reasonable compared to others.

He helped me locate a unit that was perfect for what I required & great price. If anyone looking for extra storage I suggest you go see Matthew, before stopping any where else.

I am always pleased with the Elmont, NY location because it’s always clean. The elevator always smells good. I had a unit there for almost a year and I never had any issues or problems. Sandra and Jason are very nice and helpful.
The female staff member who called was very kind and welcoming over the phone. Very clean facility. Seems very secure. Male who greeted us answered our questions yet a bit pushy and misleading, but overall nice. Rates are reasonable. I would recommend coming here.

Couldn’t have been more pleased with the service my my mom and I received yesterday. Considering we walked in at 5:57 p.m. , the store Manager, Eric opened the door for us as we were walking towards the office. Immediately, he asked with a happy and nice tone, what can I do for you ladies? I apologized as I realized they were about to close and felt bad as I knew we were going to keep him past 6pm, he continued to say not a problem and not to worry.Honestly, I was a little surprised (in a good way) considering that I never had a good experience at extra space storage. The reason for my visit was due to a change of location. Unfortunately, I already paid for my month dues at the Valley Stream location where the customer service is insulting and completely rude. They always have a bad attitude and act as if Youre bothering them with a question. Additionally, they had a homeless person scare the s!@t out of my mom a couple days ago, which is the reason for our swap. We couldn’t have made a better decision as the Elmont facility is clean, upgraded and I love that you feel safe and can pull you car in and close the gate.We probably kept Eric until 7pm and he treated us as if we walked in first thing in the morning. He also ensured we knew how to unlock and lock up and took time and took his time and showed us around the facility. One thing I also noticed which was great, he said hello to every single person by their first name that was inside the storage space and every single person knew his name as well which was so impressive. At valley stream, God forbid you ask a question at 5pm, they make sure you know and continue to repeat that they can’t help you past 6.It’s seriously like night and day! Thank you Eric for wonderful service you provided my mom and I. We appreciate you!Ps. The prices are cheaper than VS too!

I went to this Linden Blvd location because it is relatively close and upon checking reviews I was hoping the staff would be friendly making the experience of requiring a unit satisfactory. Unfortunately I was not as lucky as many other individuals. The young gentleman with glasses walked fast as if I knew my way around the building was extremely snappy with me when I inquired about a different unit. I almost felt as if he didn’t want to help me but had to because it was his turn to check a customer. If I didn’t need the space at short notice I would definitely gone to another facility such as Life storage. I was dissatisfied with the gentleman who help me but I still purchased space there. I think his name was joe or something like that he wears glasses. If you see him ask for someone else.

2022-07-01I used extra space as a transition between my moves for two months. The facility was so clean and spacious! It was really a pleasure working with Eric and and his team. They were so accommodating and helpful with my move. If I ever need to store anything else I would defiantly use this facility again. They made checking in and out super easy and fast. I wasn’t sure on what size unit to get.And What I could afford.Steve was very helpful and gave me helpful tips on choosing the best option for me he was patient showed me different units that made me feel comfortable.The Facility was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful they gave me the Internet special witch made it very affordable. I would definitely recommend this storage facility.

2022-08-21After seeing some horrible storage facilities, I’m happy to have my things stored at Linden. The space is clean, well-lit, with real temp control and cement floors. Steven Rodriguez was very helpful in showing the facility and explaining contract and billing. In addition, the rest of the staff were welcoming and professional.

2022-04-14Customer service is phenomenal. I went in today asking for information about transferring my unit to a smaller one. They were extremely helpful with details and specific ls on my transfer. They even took the time out to show me where and what my options would be.

2022-07-17I ordered my unit online. Went to get the lock and spoke to manager. He walked me through how to enter facility. Directed me to my unit and showed me how to open/close my unit. He was very helpful and professional.
