Ten minutes till closing and I just wanted to examine the sizes for the storage units for the great online prices I had seen earlier today. I have never been greeted with such kindness and patience ESPECIALLY before closing. The place is massive and is kept very orderly and clean. Mark was the worker who had helped me examine not just the one unit I asked for but another one as well and took his time to go over all the other features that pertain such as spare dollys to help load belongings inside, convenient access hours, insurance rates, etc. I would recommend anyone looking for storage to take this place into consideration because not only do you get what you’re paying for but also outstanding customer service.

Absolutely recommend their service. The storage unit is super clean and well maintained. They are also so accommodating and we were able to get a unit of our choice within 24 hours notice. Also gave us a good discount for the first month.

I’m going through a somewhat stressful move and Rob from the New Hyde Park Jericho location was SUPER patient and informative through the entire process. I had to call back several times for issues on my own end and he was very helpful and patient with all the questions and follow ups I had. I’ve had a storage unit here for 13 years and can’t say enough about their customer service: Jeff, Mark and Rob are AMAZING. The company has changed hands at least twice so the prices increase every year. Storage in NY is EXPENSIVE so I wanted a place with superior customer service and this place was it. I’ve never regretted it.

Can’t recommend this spot enough! After a long cross-country drive and busy moving day, Marilyn and team were extremely helpful and efficient. Marilyn checked in with us twice prior to arrival to help us decide on unit size, which made our check-in process seamless once we arrived. The team was helpful from start to finish of our move into storage. I’m so happy I went with their storage vs other options — the great service really sets them apart!

My fiancée and I went to this Extra Space Storage company. Even though Extra Space Storage has many other facilities in the area, the one here is by far the best, not to mention but the cleanest. The staff working at this facility are very kind, and helpful with any information you need. Jeff is the man that took care of me and my fiancée, helping us with all of the information he could provide for us, checking all of the promotional offers, and guiding us through everything from the gate entry point, elevator access, loading access, the closest emergency exit, to our storage unit. They also have security cameras 24/7, with your own personal code to gain access to the gate entry/elevator, and you can only access the floor your unit is on. Any questions you may have, Jeff is just one of the great men there to help you with getting your next Extra Space Storage unit. So what are you all waiting for? Its first come first serve! Storage space is running out so get your Extra Space Storage unit while it lasts!
Extra space is a very nice place. The front office people is very helpful and try to give me the best deal possibleI had a lot of saving since I used the storage for long term. The space is very clean. Most important they have provide a lot of different of cart to reduce move in effort. I can even drive to 2 nd floor to load and unload without having to use elevator. That is really good!
Extremely courteous and helpful staff. Very clean and well lit. Property is well maintained. Rob in the office was especially helpful in filling out the required paperwork. I would recommend this place if you need extra storage.

I give this place a five star rating I got vip treatment and was give A1 customer service by Jeff he is very professional and knowledgeable of company policies and products offered by the company at the Jericho turnpike store location I highly recommend them they are awesome here they do what ever they can to help and they are very understanding I have no complaints here prices are great as well the units are clean and spacious and I feel very secure leaving my possessions here .

Ive been looking for a storage facility, after reading several reviews I choose Extra Space. I called to reserve and stopped after work. I was greeted by Vanessa, Mark and Marilyn. From the moment I walked through the door I knew I was in the right place. Excellent Customer service by everyone. All my questions were answered with care and compassion. Considering the crazy year we are all experiencing, I give this facility a 10 star. Everyone went above and beyond. The one thing that caught my attention was Vanessa, to my surprise come to find out its her 3rd day in training. She handled it like a pro. To the Owner and Manager of this facility, you have a wonderful staff, treat them well as they will keep customers coming. I will be passing the word around. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

Everytime I walk in one of the employees greets me and asking me how I’m doing. Very welcoming and always kind. They even remember me when I come back. The facility is very clean and organized. My mom and I both have units here. If you want to pick a storage unit pick this facility!

80% Rate High Hike after 2 Months. This rate hike is ridiculous. My salary did not go up by 80%. I understand things go up, but not by 80%. And they are still advertising at the lower Rate, so you would sign the contract. I dont care about the *Guarantee*. This is about ethics... Its like a car dealership.
We had our items at this location for over 9mnths. The customer service was GREAT, they were accomodating, pleasant and clean. Also, they are open late with easy accessibility to your storage unit. We are moving out of state and we are still with Extra Space Storage because the experience and cost is unmatched.
The hospitality and access at Extra Space is fantastic -- multiple loading docks, entries and secure access. Everyone there is happy to help and ready to answer any and all questions! Over the phone they were so polite and answered all my questions.The property:Incredibly clean I was very impressed. Well lit all around. Motion control lighting so there was no need for lights inside the unit. Air conditioning was amazing.Security:Cameras everywhere. You cant enter the property after hours. You cant even go to another floor, only the floor your unit is located. The elevator will not let you go up if you dont have a code.Prices:Youre going to be very satisfied with the prices. Its worth it.Over all:Mark, thank you for everything. I feel total comfortable storing my things here.

I originally had a storage unit and needed another unit that was a smaller size for the time being because I ran out of room in my other unit. I went on line and reserved a unit that was feasible and affordable and processed the entire transaction over the phone and the web. This self storage location has been around well over 10years. They know whats up and have many options. The place is clean, well lit and has a temperature controlled environment. Huge plus, your items will stay in great shape. Plenty of loading areas, U boats, carts and a bathroom. Easy and efficient.
I rented a basement unit through two hurricanes and everything was clean and dry. Great front desk staff as well - Jeff was incredibly thorough and made closing out the unit a breeze.

I have never used a storage facility before and when I walked into Extra Space Storage I was greeted by Marc and Marilyn. They were excellent customer service representation of this company. They answered all my questions and gave me a tour of the storage units so that I could find what fits my need. My mom just moved to the area, Im helping her move her extra stuff into storage, and during the car ride over to the unit she kept raving about how Marilyn was so sweet and educational to her over the phone. We got here, and I immediately understood why. Marilyn and her co-worker Jackie were such sweethearts, and Im glad my mom was taken care of properly and professionally.
My experience with the New Hyde Park Storage Post was excellent. The facility is very clean, with easy access to the units. Emily helped me decide which unit was best for my needs. She was very patient, accommodating and friendly. I am very pleased with the service I received and would highly recommend to others.

I called Extra Space Storage about a price increase on my unit. I spoke to Jackie Merkel and explained my situation.. That I was a retired. And asked her if they had any senior discounts.. What’s going on with today’s Covid-19 economy every penny helps... She said she would check into it an get back to me. And one day later I was pleasantly surprised when she told me the cost would not be increased...I have been at that location for the last 10 years and the place has always been clean, secure and well kept. My fiancé and I walked into the storage place yesterday, and it was a great experience as soon as we did. Everyone that was there was helpful and kind. They showed us around and helped us decide which size storage would be the best! I would recommend this place to anyone that asked. Just a very nice environment!

Extra space is awesome my experience from day one was great I needed to get into my unit after hours and mark was of great help especially when the unit I was given was too small for my furniture he responded quickly to the info he received the way I was told to get in touch with him after hours I am very appreciative to mark and his staff and will highly recommend him to friends and would be back if I needed them again
I love over there the people over there is very nice, especially the ladys name Jessica shes so politely, wonderful, and good at her job. She really know how to welcome customers, she took her time to show the Customer around and make sure you understand everything, I give her 5 Stars, 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 All the 5 Star is for her. She should be promoted; because she deserves it.
I wanted a simple, easy storage solution to clean out some clutter from our house. They had just what I needed, made sure it was clean and took extra care to make sure I was getting the right size unit for my stuff. Asia was a great help and i would recommend her for assistance with storage needs.

Very clean, well lit storage facility with a personable and friendly staff. Pass code is required to access any of the floors. Plenty of carts to move your items. A drive up Bay is available for larger trucks. I had a little trouble opening the door to my space and the manager on duty was quick to come out and solve the problem. Ive had a few interactions with different staff members and all have been helpful.

I’ve been going to this facility for over 15 years. Back then it was a family owned business called the Self Storage Center. Since changing hands at least 2 of the original employees Ivan and Eric are still with Storage Post. This is a good place. I have a few units, so I feel very safe and secure. It’s clean and all of the staff are friendly.
Very clean, well lit, organized storage company. Eric was at the counter waiting to help and thoroughly explained everything. We had encountered serious problems with another moving/storage company with places in the Bronx, Yonkers, but referred themselves as Systems that after 4 months I still dont have any of my belongings. While going through this we explained to Storage Post what was going on and they allowed us to rent a small unit instead of the large one like the one we had when we were expecting all of our items including furniture and 65 boxes. They were very understanding and helpful through this extremely difficult time. Definitely recommend them.

The movers were fast and efficient, careful with all belongings, and above all else - incredibly nice! They completed the job faster and with more professionalism than I could have ever hoped for. Its stressful to move in NYC but these guys totally made it stress-free. Would definitely recommend and plan to use them again if I have to move.

Best storage Ive ever used. The employees are kind, very knowledgeable and helpful. The grounds are keep clean and inside is very clean as well. There is only one bathroom, could be wrong in this, sometimes it does get destroyed. Overall though best storage Ive know.

They are a nightmare.They were taken over by Extra Space and didn’t inform anyone as to official rule changes. I had my packages delivered there from the previous company and all my packages were returned at my expense without warning —- and yet somehow the blame was put on me that I should have miraculously known the new policy even though no one communicated it.The new manager Jeff is perhaps the worlds worst communicator and was not just hostile, entitled and insulting, but had a lack of accountability for any wrong doing and continued to blame me for not being psychic and knowing random new rules.Somehow if I had been psychic, and known of a policy change and it’s timing - regardless of not being informed, this wouldn’t have happened??!!I cannot get away from this storage company fast enough. I no longer feel safe storing anything there.

Had a great experience, we didn’t know what size of storage we will like so the guy helped us and show us few different ones .He tried to find the closest ones for us and not just any one .It was great highly recommended!!
Its a joy to be able to rave about this place without one single reservation. Immaculate, immaculate, immaculate (super important to me), well run and fairly priced--with a staff always ready to help. Eric and Kevin were my guys, but Ivan and George were just as nice. Im embarrassed to say it took me 9 years to deal with family heirlooms, but in all that time I have not one single complaint. I personally looked at 6 places before visiting Storage Post, which instantly became the winner. Even though I live in Manhattan, its still convenient and well worth it. Train from Penn Station to New Hyde Park is direct and only about 25 minutes, with a six block walk from the station. Im almost sorry that I wont have reason to go there again.

2022-06-18This is the first time Ive used Extra Space storage and overall a great initial impression. The call center rep was super helpful recommending a space close by me and within my budget. Process was super easy and quick. I barely finished with the call center and Mark from the storage space already called to welcome me and ensure I had all the details to access my space. He even called me back quickly after to let me know that a similar space opened up closer to the entrance and accommodated me immediately. Overall top customer service that I never expected from a storage space. Definitely recommend and appreciate the warm welcome from Mark and team! Thank you!

The convenience of hours is phenomenal, the location is easy, and the customer service is fantastic. My rate was starting to creep up, and Mark (the manager) did a phenomenal job helping me out. 2022-06-08Please run for the hills.. I have stored at this facility for many years under many changes in ownership.Was considering a move to a larger unit and realize I was grossly overpaying due to my longevity. I contacted the manager of the facility who agreed I was being overcharged that someone taking the unit I had now would be paying much less. He contacted the company and negotiated a reduction. Seemed like a nice guy. Told me for the same price I was paying I could get a unit twice as large to finally sort through these items and move some in from elsewhere. It was a lot of work to move it in. But I decided to do it.Fast forward 3 months. I get a notice my promo rate...... which no one said was promo.... was expiring and now my rate was going up 42% . I went in the next day and the employee was completely nonresponsive said yeah 3 months is about right for the company.To say I feel lied to and taken advantage of be a gross understatement.Rent at your own risk.
