My small storage unit is my extra closet, got one here when they first opened this location, several years ago, so convenient, off the red line, short walk to the unit, the place is clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the units way more affordable than mid town. Great restaurants in the area.

The Extra Space Storage facility at 485 W 129th St in Manhattan became our workplace for three and half days in late February. We had to sort through two filled units to dispose of or ship the contents of a four-room apartment. We often stacked boxes and other items in the corridors for removal later in the day. At the start of the process the staff clarified that we could do that provided we didnt block access through a corridor. The staff were always polite and helpful through our preliminary phone calls, and many trips to the office with ordinary and special requests. They worked very well with the junk hauling company that we had hired. We want to single out Jeniese for the many times she assisted us throughout the weekend.

Ive recently used Extra Storage Space on West 129th street and I have no regrets at all. The experience was quick and painless. Ive interacted with Ivanna, Angelique, Keith, CeeCee and Lee. They all were very professional and pleasant. From the several phone calls, answering my questions, and the actual visit. They took the time to explain all the details to me while reserving my unit and when I arrived. Ivanna was very thorough. I think Lee did a great job; the place was clean, and all staff were mask during this time of COVID. CeeCee was very accommodating! I TOTALLY APPRECIATE the favor😉👍🏾

The employees at the 129th location are very friendly, sad helped us out without a problem. The location it self is very clean, including the bathroom.My suggestion to cooperate, since the employees at this location are great workers, they should get a bonus, something is better than nothing, especially if their customer service brings people back.Another suggestion:BRING BACK THE FREE MONTH, especially for customers that pay a year in advance, those are customers you dont need to worry about or chase down for money.

Extra Space Storage was different, although there was a small misunderstanding at the beginning because a rep I spoke to on the phone didnt explain the details of my reservation properly, the final outcome was a breeze thanks to Bronson!He was patient, understanding of my elder mother, explain all the details and fees, and his demeanor was professional.I recommend this facility not just due to the staff but also because it was very clean and accessible.

We’ve been a customer here for many years and the staff is really what sets this place apart from. Everyone is always nice and willing to go above and beyond to help of something is needed. For example, I was in a jam recently and Sam was so gracious and kind to assist me so that I can get my stuff out of storage with little to no hassle. And Keith is also wonderfully kind and efficient to lend a hand. I’m really grateful to them both.Also, the facility itself is also nice and clean. It’s a well kept place. I love that I can take the M11 bus to and from storage if needed. Very convenient location.Thank you!!!

This location is great. I loved that when I walked in they greeted, which allowed me to feel welcome in their facility. That same employee was super informative with the prices and rules to each unit. When I was given the tour around the facility I loved how clean they were and organized. Clean facility, friendly staff, not overly crowded at any time. Good pricing and accessible hours. Few spots to park at the facility, so sometimes there can be a wait, but not a huge problem. Highly recommend.

2022-03-03My husband and I came in for a storage unit today and was assisted by Cecily. Cecily was extremely helpful patient and went above and beyond. The facility was very nice and clean with a large loading bay.

2022-07-29I recently moved and had to quickly shift a lot of my things into storage. Christina was incredibly helpful and empathetic to my situation. She answered all my questions patiently about varying storage prices and policies, sometimes answering a question for me more than once since my stress level was at an all time high. The best staff member I spoke to at any storage facility! She would do well in a leadership position. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Calling The phone line helped me get a great deal, and the in-person staff (Christine) was real helpful and communicative while I moved my luggage in. The process was swift and easy as well. 2022-07-29When I called to get information, I was helped by Orlando, who was knowledgeable, kind and patient. Lee received us when we arrived and took me right to storage unit as soon as he finished with another client (I admired how he acknowledged me, but remained focused on the person on the phone. Jeanette met me with the movers and make sure we had easy access to the elevator, which helped them to get in and out quickly. I highly recommend this facility.

2022-06-28The staff here is amazing! As soon as I walked in I was greeted. Orlando asked how he could help and once he knew what I needed he jumped into action. He showed me a unit, took his time to explain my other options based on what I wanted to store, and informed me about a current promotion. I will definitely be back to rent a unit from this location. 2022-07-31I’m going through a very hard time right now, so while signing up and moving my stuff in I wasn’t in the best of moods. I was greeted warm and friendly by Christina when I walked in, I didn’t pay her much mind. During the move in I need a few questions answered and I’m just say Christina turned my whole day around. I’m so grateful for that interaction with her.
